A/N: Thanks for all the reviews in the previous chapter. I'm glad you all enjoyed it. Hope you like this next chapter just as much.
Disclaimer: I only own Miranda Norton. All other characters are the property of CBS/Criminal Minds.
There was an empty desk between Elle and Aaron's desks. None of the children had seen it there before. They wandered where it came from.
"Is anyone missing, today?" Kevin asked.
Spencer did a quick head count and said, "Nope. All nineteen of us are here."
"Then why is there a new desk in here?" Penelope asked.
"I don't know. Maybe Miss Norton decided to redecorate?" Alex suggested.
"But if she was redecorating, then why would she only add a new desk? That doesn't make sense." Jason said.
The children were all dumbfounded, until Emily finally thought of something.
"Hey! Maybe she's finally gone crazy and just added a new desk for the fun of it!"
"You could be right, Emily. Hey Spencer, you still got those cards for the nearest insane asylum?" Aaron asked.
Spencer pulled a small card from his shirt pocket and held it up. "Yep. Right here."
"Good. Because Miss Norton is gonna need it when she walks in here. She has finally lost her mind."
"I know." Spencer said.
"How do you know?" Aaron asked.
"That's what Emily just suggested. And I was standing right here when she said it." Spencer said.
Suddenly, everyone heard a loud sniffle. They turned their attention towards Derek, who was wiping tears away from his face, with his sleeve.
"What's wrong, Derek?" Maeve asked with concern in her voice.
"My beautiful sparkly star is gonna get locked up in the crazy house!" Derek choked back a sob.
"You mean insane asylum." Spencer corrected him.
"Now is not the time for your corrections, Spencer. This is a very tough time for Derek." David said as he threw a comforting arm around his sobbing classmate. "Look on the brightside, Derek. You can always find a new girlfriend."
"But I don't wanna a new girlfriend! There will never be another girl as beautiful as Miss Norton!" Derek wailed.
At that moment, Miranda walked into the classroom. A young African American girl with long wavy dark brown hair and brown eyes followed behind her. The children were eager to know who she was, but not as much as Derek was. He nearly knocked Grant over as he ran up to the girl.
"Hello pretty little lady. My name's Derek's Morgan and I love to work out. You wanna see my abs?!"
The girl let out a nervous giggle. "Uh, no thank you."
Derek just shrugged his shoulders. "Okay, your loss." He then looked at Miranda and said, "Sorry, Miss Norton, but I believe I have found a new love."
"I'm okay with that, Derek." Miranda was very relieved to hear those words from Derek. "Finally! He'll stop embarrassing me with those weird pet names he keeps calling me!" She smiled as she thought to herself.
"Who is she?" Alex asked as she pointed at the new girl.
Miranda turned her attention to the new girl and said, "Sweetheart, would you like to introduce yourself to everyone?"
The little girl nodded her head in a yes motion and said, "My name is Savannah Hayes."
"And what do you want to be when you grow up?" Miranda asked.
"I want to be…"
"Derek Morgan's wife!" Emily called out as she interrupted Savannah.
"Emily, let's let Savannah tell us what she wants to be." Miranda said.
"Okay, but I already said what she's going to be. No need for everyone to hear it again."
"Well, maybe she wants to be something else when she grows up." Miranda then looked at Savannah and said, "Go on sweetheart. Tell us what you want to be."
"I want to be a singer when I grow up." Savannah said.
"I bet you have a very lovely voice." Miranda smiled.
"Where am I going to sit?" Savannah asked.
Derek suddenly shoved Kevin out of his seat.
"Ouch!" Kevin said.
"Derek. Why did you push Kevin out of his seat?" Miranda asked.
"Um… because I wanted to sit beside Savannah. I could've have pushed Emily out of her seat, but she's a girl and my mommy and daddy taught me to never hurt a girl."
"I would have just gotten back up and pushed you out of your seat." Emily said to Derek.
"There will be no kind of violence here, okay? Now, Derek. I want you to apologize to Kevin." Miranda said.
"Sorry, Kevin." Derek said.
"That's okay. I'm not hurt very bad." Kevin was now getting back into his seat.
"Okay Savannah, your desk is the one between Elle and Aaron." Miranda said as she pointed at the two students.
"Aaron, just because she's sitting beside you, it doesn't mean you can steal her away from me." Derek said.
"I don't want a boyfriend." Savannah announced to Derek.
"You'll change you mind. Trust me, you will." Derek flashed a smile at Savannah.
End of chapter fifteen. Sorry it's shorter than most of the other chapters. I'd love to know what you thought about it. So, please leave me some reviews. Chapter sixteen will be up as soon as possible.
