A/N: Thanks for the reviews for the previous chapter. I hope you like this next chapter just as much.
Disclaimer: I only own Miranda and the story that she read to the class.
It was the sixteenth of December and the class was celebrating their Christmas party. Christmas decorations were displayed throughout the room. Paper snowflakes that each of the children made, hung from the ceiling. A red and green paper chain surrounded the walls of the entire room. "Merry Christmas" and a drawing of Santa and his sleigh was posted on the chalkboard. In the center of the reading area, a beautiful Christmas tree stood, decorated in ornaments that each of the children had made. Beautifully wrapped gifts were filled beneath the tree.
Miranda was reading a Christmas story to the children, as they happily sipped hot chocolate from mugs and ate candy from stockings that she had made for each of them. She smiled as she continued to read, happy to know that her students were all having a good time.
"When Christmas morning arrived, Gabriel woke up and ran downstairs. He had only wished for one thing for Christmas and when he got to the bottom of the stairs, he was happy to see that his wish had come true. His father was finally home. The end." Miranda closed the book and asked the children, "Okay, who's ready to open presents now?"
The children had all agreed that they were all ready.
"Here's what we're going to do. I'm going to call on you, and whose ever name you drew out of the hat a couple of weeks ago, I want you to give them the gift that you bought. Okay, how about we start with Jennifer?" Miranda asked.
"Really?! I've never gotten to go first! It's like a Christmas miracle!" JJ gleefully exclaimed as she rushed back to the Christmas tree and retrieved the present that she had bought. She then placed in on Spencer's desk. "Merry Christmas, Spence."
Spencer opened his present and was happy to see a magic set. "Wow! Thanks JJ! I've been wanting one of these!"
"You're welcome." JJ replied back.
"Okay now, how about Spencer goes next?" Miranda asked.
Spencer walked back to the Christmas tree, picked up the present he had bought and then placed in on Grant's desk on the way back to his desk. "Merry Christmas, Grant."
When Grant opened his present, he was very happy to see a remote control race car. "Thanks!"

"Calm down, Miss Norton. The place isn't on fire. Keep your hair rollers in." Emily said, causing Miranda to give her a odd look.
"Emily, I am calm and I don't have hair rollers in."
"Oh, sorry. I panicked there for a moment." Emily said.
Miranda just let out a laugh and said, "Okay Emily, how about you go and get the present you bought and give it to the person it belongs to?"
Emily skipped back to the Christmas tree and grabbed the present she had bought. Skipping back to her desk, she placed the present on Alex's desk. "Merry Christmas, Alex."

End of chapter sixteen. I look forward to knowing what you all thought about it. So, reviews please. And remember, don't be too harsh or cruel if you hated it. I'll have chapter seventeen up as soon as I can.
