I'm glad that you have taken to Akira, and I'm pleased that you thought I did good job with his backstory. He wasn't a character I planned when I was first began writing this story. If you go to back to the first chapter you'll see he is absent. It's the same with all the OCs they are not really planned they just tend to turn up.

Thank you for all reviews and comments.

Gone back and down some re editing of previous chapters.

I've been doing a lot of reading, looking for bolts of lightning and I've gotten a lot inspiration for scenes and dialogue so I considered it time well spent. I've been reading Leslie Charteris the creator of The Saint, he reminds me of Raymond Chandler they both have great descriptive powers.

Someone (Sorry forgetting your name ) asked me what a Good Samaritan was. The parable of the Good Samaritan is from the New Testament. It recounts story of how a Jewish man was beaten, robbed and left for dead on the side of the road. First he was passed by a priest who did nothing. Then he was passed by a Levite ( A member of the Hebrew tribe the Levi) and he did nothing. Then a Samaritan came along. The Samaritans and Jews were enemies, but the Samaritan helped the injured man even thought their people were enemies and he didn't know him. In the colloquial sense a Good Samaritan is a person who helps strangers.

NO FLAMES PLEASE IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT NO ONE IS MAKING YOU! IN DOING THAT YOU WASTED MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE THAT YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET BACK, WHICH YOU COULD HAVE SPENT READING SOMETHING YOU DO LIKE. IF YOU DISLIKE THIS THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER FICTIONS TO READ.

Chapter 12– Resolve.

Akihito woke the next morning , to find Akira siting in the same place it didn't look like he'd moved a muscle. "Morning" said Akihito as he rubbed his eyes. "Good morning Takaba-sama."

"Haven't you slept?

"Sleep is for tortoises Takaba-sama."

"Give me some time and I'll make some breakfast." Akihito grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom. He came out in a t shirt and ripped grey jeans. He began to boil some water. "Akira."

"Yes Takaba-sama?"

"Call me Akihito."

"Ok Akihito-sama"

Akihito sighed and shook his head a little "What was it like when you were first living with Asami and the others?"

"It took time to get used to it. The building was a little on the small side, but you have to remember this was in the early days. Living on top of one another sometimes created problems." Akira smiled "I can remember the time that Kirishima caught me using Anna as a letter opener."

"Anna?"

"Anna is Kirishima's favourite throwing knife. I can remember the look on his face when he found out, he went a rather interesting shade of puce." Akira began to laugh.

"Kirishima doesn't seem like he has much of a temper."

"He does, it's just that he doesn't lose it very often. But when he does you want to watch out. Kirishima can really hold a grudge. He's like Karma, he'll bide his time and when your least expecting it he'll get you."

As Akihito cooked Akira told more anecdotes , including the one about the time he had to dive through the rubbish bins looking for a pair of Asami's cufflinks that he'd accidently threw out while cleaning. They sat down to eat. Akihito was surprised that Akira ate anything, though it wasn't much but considering what he'd learnt about the man he didn't say anything. What Akihito didn't know was that the whole time he was cooking and the whole time Akira was telling his stories, Akira was watching him. It wasn't that he didn't trust Akihito, it was just habit, he'd always watch people if they were making anything he was going to consume. As Akihito washed up Akira made a call to Asami "Your aunt and Asami sama will be here soon, so could you start packing Akihito sama." Akihito pulled a bag out from under his bed and started to pack.

When Ayame turned up she squeezed the life out of Akihito, Asami's men packed Takaba's things into Ayame's car. Asami had paid to have the locks changed on Akihito's apartment, but if Asami had his way the boy wouldn't be coming back. "May I have a word with you in private Asami-san?"

"By all means Shidou-san."

"Akihito go wait in the car." Akihito wanted to say something but by the tone of Ayame's voice he knew she meant business. Asami also signalled to his men to leave them. Akihito and Asami's men filled out the door. "I'll be blunt tell me what your intentions towards Akihito are? Because if it's just sex you make that clear to him right now. I will not see him hurt, he has been hurt enough."

Asami studied Ayame so far he'd seen her as a cool and skilled operator. Now he saw something else, she reminded him of a tigress protecting her cub "My interest goes beyond just sex."

Ayame raked Asami with gaze "I like to think I know when someone is bullshitting me, and when they are not. I believe you. But let me make this very clear I don't care how big, or powerful, or strong you are if you hurt him, I will make you pay."

"I understand Shidou san. I can see where Akihito gets his courage from."

"I can't take the credit for that, I wish he was the son of body but he's not, he is instead the son of my heart."

Asami watched as Ayame drove off with Akhito; followed at a discreet distance by a car with some of his men in it. "Kirishima."

"Yes sir?"

"I want Sudoh Shu put under surveillance. I didn't tell him where I was going to be last night, nor did Akihito, nor did you or Suoh. So how the question is how did he know?"

Suzumebachi watched as Akihito was driven away. He hoped that Ayame would have been able to protect Akihito from Asami, but it was obvious that she couldn't. Ayame lived under Asami's thumb, but no doubt her hands were tied. He'd sent word to the other drones, they would soon be converging on the city. It was a pity he had to kill Sanada, Sanada was a good drone but he'd become a liability once Kirishima had gotten a hold of his blood. He wished he could have been there to see Asami's and the other's faces when Sanada's body was delivered. They really thought they had it all worked out.

Asami sat at his desk in front of him was Suoh, Kirishima and Akira. With the new information that Suzumebachi was a group and not an individual, Asami knew that tracking them down was going to be much harder. With little concrete information it was making it hard for Asami to gage his enemy's true strength. Asami was determined to make full use of every weapon in his arsenal. At that moment his latest weapon just walked in. "Shidou-san it's good of you to join us."

Akira stood up so Ayame could sit down "Not at all Asami-san." She said with a smile.

"I trust that I can count on you to add the full weight of the Finders to aid this endeavour."

"Well it not I don't want to help, but my help can get expensive. After all I have keep up appearances. Plus my Jimmy Choo's don't pay for themselves." Said Ayame admiring her shoes

"I'm sure they don't Shidou-san. But the situation with Suzumebachi has already touched Akihito, and I there is not much you wouldn't do to protect him. You're right you do have to keep up appearances. But I'm asking that you half your fee and in exchange…"

"Yes?"

"Kirishima will take you out whenever you like. Within reason of course.

Ayame's eyes lit up "I can keep him for as long as want?"

"Of course, but if I need him I do expect you to let him go." Kirishima began to cough, but to Suoh it sounded like he was muttering something under his breath. "Kirishima will you see you have a good time. Won't you Kirishima?"

"Of course Asami-sama."

Ayame turned to face Kirshima and flashed a devilish smile "I do like a man who knows how to follow orders. And by the way Kirishima-kun I'm not a cheap date."

"Now that's settled let's get down to business." Akira, Shidou-san I want you both to start gathering information, coordinate with Kirishima if you need to. I want you to look for people like Sanada Daisuke."

"What do you mean by that?"

"What I mean is Shidou-san is individuals who for whatever reason would have a grudge against the Yakuza. Individuals who then died or disappeared suddenly."

"With all due respect Asami san it was nearly impossible to find information on Sanada Daisuke. It was like he'd been almost been wiped from existence."

"But Ayame-san" Said Akira "If you think about it that would be the red flag we are looking for. Even if a person dies or disappears all record of them shouldn't vanish with them."

"I see forgive me, carry on please Asami-san."

"I think it is safe to assume that the hornet helped Sanada to disappear. Which probably means that the Hornet knew Sanada or was in contact with him. Akira, Shidou san I want you research potential drones. Then look for commonalties places they went, people they knew that sort of thing."

"I can help with that Asami sama. I can write a computer program to do that, once Shidou san and Akira gather the data."

"Make a start on that Gentlemen, Lady I believe that that is all for today." As they got up to leave, the door opened and in walked Nana. "To what do we owe the pleasure Nana?"

Asami-kun, Akira-kun, Kirishima-kun. Kazumi Kun was supposed to take me lunch but , but since he's twenty minutes late, I presume my Big Bear won't be taking me." Nana pouted a little.

"I'm…"

Nana held up her hand "Its fine. You're busy, I'll know you'll make it up to me." Nana said with a smile, her eyes lighted on Ayame.

"Nana this is …"

"Shidou Ayame."

"Yes how did you know?"

"My husband described you in quite some detail."

"Everything good I hope, well since your husband won't be taking you out please join me for lunch Suoh-san."

"Call me Nana and I would love to, may I call you Ayame?"

"Please do." They looped arms and headed towards the door. Ayame looked over her shoulder "Oh and by the Kirishima kun I take being called a Rampant She-Demon as a complement."

Sudoh looked at his phone for the fifth time in five minutes, he was glad he'd didn't have to go in to work today. He felt so on edge, unlike Akihito he couldn't hid it when something was wrong, he's strange behaviour would have certainly been picked up on at work. Akihito why was he even comparing himself to that son of a cheap whore?

Sudoh told Asami about the murder Akhito had committed, in the hope that Asami would realise the danger. No doubt Akhito was as big a whore as his mother, he could be carrying anything. The day after Sudoh had told Asami the truth about Akihito Sudoh went to Asami's office. He felt for sure that his warning had worked and once again Asami's attention would be back on him. To Sudoh's horror this wasn't the case, Asami had even threatened Sudoh with dismissal if he continued with such unprofessional behaviour. The coldness of his manner made Sudoh even more upset.

A few days ago he was contacted by someone. Someone who said they were a friend, that they watched him from afar and even though they knew it was hopeless to wish to be together, but they wanted to help him be happy, to get what he wanted. If Sudoh was happy then his admiring friend would be happy. When the friend told him that Asami and asked Takaba out on a date Sudoh's heart sunk, Asami had never taken him on proper date, not that Sudoh wasn't interested, for he'd dropped so many hints. The friend had told Shu where to look for Akihito. It hadn't taken much to convince Takaba to stand up Akihito. Once Sudoh had the necessary information from Akihito and his new friend, he turned up in Akhito's place. To his dismay though Asami rejected him. The Takabas are all the same once they got their claws into someone it was impossible to dig them out. It was as Asami exited the restaurant that there was an attempt on his life.

Slowly it began to dawn on Sudoh about what he might have done, on what he has done. He betrayed Asami, he began to think his new friend may be involved. They were the one who told him to seek out Akihito, all they would then have had to do was follow him and they would know exactly where Asami was. Sudoh realised he'd been played. He couldn't believe that he'd been that stupid. The friend wasn't a secret admirer at all, it was Suzumebachi.

He sat up all night thinking about how he could fix this, he nursed a drink which he found he couldn't drink. He just sat there waiting either for his 'friend' to come and clean up a loose end or for Asami. Sudoh knew what Asami did to traitors, what he let Akira do to them and the thought chilled him to the bone. Maybe he would get a chance to explain or maybe he could persuade Asami to spare him. But deep down he doubted it, after all he'd just sold Asami out to Suzumebachi. Everyone in Asami's organisation knew about the Hornet to various degrees. As a manager of one Asami's businesses of course he'd been told. And after the shooting at Noir the pieces fell into place for Sudoh.

He kept waiting for Asami or the became morning and no one came, maybe the Hornet forget about him, perhaps this meant that Shu could forget to. Yes he wanted to forget, but he couldn't at the same time, he wanted to tell Asami, for him to know he didn't mean to betray him, that his love and devotion to Asami made him blind to all else. Sudoh's phone rang and he jumped out of his skin. "Hello?"

"Good morning Sudoh san." Said a bright and cheery voice.

"Who is this?"

"Can't you guess? We spoke before."

"You're Suzumebachi."

"Bingo!"

"You've made a mistake contacting me, just wait till I tell Asami-sama."

"I've made a mistake? Is it as big as the one you've made? Shut up you're not going to tell Asami anything. Not unless want to keep breathing." What little bravado Sudoh had displayed vanished in an instant. "Good. Now you could tell Asami about us, but that would mean signing your own death warrant. Oh and so you know I'm recording this conversation, just like I did with the other one. As they say you can never be too rich or too safe, so I think having insurance policies is the best thing to do in cases such as this. If you feel that strongly about telling Asami go head, but these recordings will find their way to him."

"Why are you doing this? You said you wanted to help me."

"I do want to help you, I want to help everybody. Don't tell me you didn't have any inkling who you were talking to? What else did you think I was going to do? Or did love make such a fool out of you? That you forgot that your boss is at war?

"I thought you were going to kill Takaba Akihito! You said you wanted to help me! He's stealing Asami away from me!"

"Asami doesn't look like yours to me."

"Well if that little slut wouldn't keep getting in my way he would be!"

"I am going to kill Asami. And there is nothing you can do. Now you could warn Asami but then back to square one, because he'd want to know how you know. "

Sudoh went silent, he didn't have anything to say that would counter the Hornet, the truth rendered him speechless. "Kill Takaba Akihito."

"What?"

"You heard me."

"Please do this for me. I'll do anything. You say you're going to kill Asami, and maybe you are, though I didn't mean to betray him I already have. If he finds out he will kill. I'm a dead man walking, because I know he'll find out one way or another. So please give me some give me time, to be with him, to make it up to him. With Takaba out the way Asami can love me. So I'm begging you grant me this favour. And I'll do anything you want."

There was total silence on the other end of the line, there wasn't even the sound of breathing. "Ok I'll give you three months, see if you can make the beast love you. But from now on your mine. When I say jump you ask how high."

"I, I, I understand. I want to ask you once more thing."

"Aren't you greedy? Now what do want? "

"If you kill Asami, I want you to kill me to. So he'll know just how much I love, that I would go to my death for him. So that me and him can be together forever."

That's the end of the Chapter I know its short, it was going to be longer. But when I read through what I done so far I found I really like this as ending. So the original ending will now be the ending of next chapter and all the content that would have been in this chapter will get transferred to the next one. I'm going to try and work on my other story The Scarlet Emperor for a while, but this one is main priority.
