I don't own any of the characters of the Finder series.
Sorry I've kept you all waiting. University has just been so busy. I've had no time and little inspiration. Plus I got writers block half way through the lemon. The truth is I wasn't sure if I wanted to include it, I wondered if I was getting into MA territory as one reviewer warned me. So I had a long battle with myself and decided to include it in its full uncut state, as I don't think plot wise there will be anymore lemons for a while, but then you never know.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed plotting it.
Chapter 16 – Revenge, Freewill, Truth and Consequences.
"Mum?" Akihito was shock he never expected to hear from her again.
"Hi sweetie it's good to hear your voice."
Akihito swallowed hard "You sound well."
"Yeah, I um after I left I didn't find Shisa-kun but I found some new friends. They helped me see how self-destructive my past behaviour was. To see how much I hurt you."
"They sound like good people"
"Yes they are. They are far better than I deserve. I've stopped drinking. I've haven't had a drink in thirty days."
"Good for you."
"How's Ayame?"
"She's fine. She's out of town now."
"Aki I know I've been a pretty useless mother, but I want to change that."
"I…"
"Please give me another chance. I love you I do, I just couldn't see it before. And I know I can't make up for all I've done but please let me try."
"I don't know."
"Please just meet me somewhere so we can talk."
"I'll think about it."
The fact that there was no school today annoyed Akihito, at least it would have been a distraction. He at least for a couple of hours not have to think about her. Akihiro was the first person to admit he had trust issues. That's why he couldn't help but be suspicious of his mother's sudden return. He wanted to believe she had changed and that she meant what she said. But at the same time he wanted to tell her to go to hell. But it is hard for a child to break the bond between them and a parent. No matter how badly they want to, or no matter how bad the parent is.
Asami returned home to find Akihito on the sofa staring into to space, with a textbook on his lap. "You know you have to actually read the words for the information to be absorbed."
Akihito was startled as he hadn't heard Asami come in, and the book slide from his lap "Don't sneak up on me like that!"
Asami ruffled Akihito's hair "I don't sneak around you just didn't hear me come in."
Akihito muttered something intelligible."
Asami sat down and pulled Akihito on to his lap "What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
Asami began to nibble the back of Akihito's neck. "Is this supposed to make me talk?"
Asami's hand slipped underneath Akihito's t-shirt. "Among other things." Said Asami who had become intensely interested in the spot at the base of Akihito's neck. "Alright, my mother called me."
"Your mother?" Asami stopped his ministrations, but his grip on Akihito tightened on Akihito "Yeah. She says she's changed, sobered up. But I…"
"You don't believe her?"
"It's not that. I just for some reason I don't feel that I can trust her."
Kirishima Kei walked into his apartment shucked of his shoes, removed his tie and jacket, and then lowered himself into an armchair. Taking off his glasses, he rubbed his eyes. Looking out of the window he could make out the blurred lights though more like flowers of the surround buildings. The day had been long, even with the Hornet buzzing around the normal everyday business continued. Add into that a training sparring session with Akira, two staff meetings, and a difficult conference call. He had eaten at his desk, and arranged Asami schedule for the next day before he left. He felt beat up, right now he his bed never seemed more attractive. Kirishima removed his holster, and placed it on the coffee table. He then undid his cuffs and began to remove the custom made sheaths from both his forearms, each of them holding five scalpels resting on the inside of his forearms. The sheaths joined his gun on the table, he then bent down and removed his backup firearm from around his left leg.
Just as he was about get up and put away his weapons when his phone rang, he pulled his phone out from his jacket pocket, Kirishima looked at the caller ID and answered. "Ayame."
"Hello Kei-kun. How's the insect problem."
"Things are looking up. With any luck the infestation will soon be over. Where are you?"
"Hong Kong."
"Is your business going well?"
"Yes, but it could still be better."
"Meeting anyone I know?"
"Maybe one or two."
"Akihito got a call from his mother."
"I know he emailed me about it. Will you do me a favour? Keep an eye on her if you can. I know she's his mother but I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her."
"Asami-sama said that Akihito felt the same."
"Well he always had good instincts. I just don't like it, she brings trouble with her wherever she goes. The last thing that's needed with all the insect trouble going on is her being added to the mix."
"What do you suggest?"
"If you can't beat them join them. If you can't join them bribe them. If you can't bribe them blackmail them. But since Mari hasn't done anything worth blackmailing her for, it'll have to be bribery. Find out her price and I'll put up the money."
"Alright. Are you in your hotel room?"
"Why do you have something in mind?" there was a teasing note in her voice.
"Put the phone on speaker, and place it by the bed."
"What next." The volume on the phone increased signalling that speaker was on.
"Take of your clothes keep your underwear on, and if you're not wearing heels put them on".
Kirishima could hear the sound of a zip, of cloth rustling, of Ayame settling herself on the bed.
"Finished?" Kirishima loosened his tie.
"Yes."
"Good, here's what I want you to do."
Asami and Akihito had fallen into a comfortable domestic pattern. Akihito had thought that for a man like Asami, used to living on his own Akihito thought that his presence might be found to be intrusive. Yet Asami showed no signs of tiring of his houseguest. However Akihito had to admit that Asami's highhanded manner set his teeth on edge. His basic toiletries had been replaced by exclusive designer brands that he had to google because he'd never heard of them. His school uniform had been replaced with a new one, and so to his backpack. Telling Asami to stop had no effect. If anything to he seemed to Akihito to be nothing but amused by Akihito's outbursts. And Asami did get a strange pleasure seeing his (and he was his) Kitten roar.
Just as Asami enjoyed the fiery young man's flashes of temper. Akihito discovered that he enjoyed simply watching Asami, in fact he was ashamed to say that it was becoming something of an addiction, it didn't matter what he was doing. Asami moved with a polished, unhurried elegance. At this moment Asami was in shower, Akihito had entered the bathroom a few moments later. He could make out Asami silhouette against the misted glass door. Nothing had happened since that Akihito had initiated their first time. Akihito just couldn't summon the courage that he had before, and he was frustrated that Asami hadn't made any advances. Akihito suspected that Asami was trying to goad him into making the first move. Akihito was determined to win this battle of wills, and yet he found himself standing there watching Asami through the glass. Akihito was trying to collect his scrambled thoughts when the shower door opened. Asami's head appeared around the door, Akihito could feel Asami's eyes boring into him. "I need help to wash my back."
"Your back?"
"Yes my back." Akihito took a step forward.
"Shouldn't you take your clothes off first? They'll get wet."
Akihito got out of his clothes and entered the shower. There was Asami leaning back against the tiles arms folded. Akihito swallowed hard as Asami unfolded his arms, took a bottle of shower gel from an alcove, passed it to Akihito and turned his back on him. Akihito squirted a good amount of gel in his hand and placed the bottle back. He lathered the soap up between his palms, Akihito's hands travelled up and down Asami's back. Akihito wished that he had skill as a sculpture, it would have been something to immortalise Asami in marble. Picking up the sponge that was next to the bottle, he rinsed the soap from Asami's back. Asami was about to turn and face Akihito. When Akihito grabbed the shower gel and began to soap up Asami's legs. Starting at his calves, Akihito worked his way up massaging the back of Asami's knees and thighs, Akihito reached Asami's buttocks. Asami's flesh felt so good under his fingers, it was like silk covered steel.
Asami turned his head to look down at Akihito, who looked up Asami who had a self-satisfied smirk on his face. Akihito was caught up in Asami's beauty. And Asami was beautiful, it was the kind of beauty that was mixed with cruelty. Perhaps that was the worst kind of beauty, because once you've seen it you know for sure that your heart is gone. 'No one should be this perfect. It's like he's illusion, just too good to be true.'
Asami turned away and said "If you do a good enough job, I'll give you a reward." Akihito stood up and moved round to face Asami. Spurred on by Asami's words Akihito poured all his pent up feelings into his hands. Akihito hands started at Asami's hips, drifted down to join between Asami's thighs and hips. His fingers massaged the delicate skin, just brushing Asami's balls. Locking eyes with Asami Akihito looked on delight to see the bright gold of Asami's eyes darken with lust. Akihito's eyes roamed across Asami's chest, he was fascinated by the rivulets of water that ran down it. Akihito couldn't help himself, he leaned forward his lips parted he wanted to taste Asami's skin, to trace the path of the droplets running down Asami's chest.
Asami watched as Akihito delicate pink tongue slipping from between his lips, as he leaned forward Asami's hand came up his fingers gripped the sides of Akihito's jaw "Finish your job and then you get your reward not before." Asami's free hand slid down Akihito's back, his fingers massaged his sacrum, and then Asami's fingers dipped into the cleft between his cheeks, the tips of his fingers circled Akihito's entrance. Akihito's breathing sped up, and he tried to get it back under control to no avail. A smile sprang up upon his lips "You're evil." said Akihito.
"Your evil be my good. Like I said you don't get your reward till you've completed the job."
A wonderfully clean Asami and a worked up Akihito stepped out of the shower. Asami dried himself off and Akihito. As Asami dried off Akihito's hair, the silky tendrils escaped from the towel and licked at Asami's hands. Akihito wriggled out of Asami's grip, arms folded he stood before "So where is my reward?" He said with a cheeky little smirk.
Asami moved preternaturally fast, and Akihito found himself sitting in the alcove that encompassed the sink. Asami was on his knees his tongue and finger were getting to work on Akihito's swelling member. Akihito hands hitting the side of the alcove bracing himself as his head arched back into the mirror, as Asami's mouth engulfed the throbbing erection. A guttural cry of pleasure was ripped from Akihito that echoed around the room, heightening the arousal of both men. Akihito couldn't help but watch himself in the mirror, the strength and speed of Asami's mouth and hand increased. One of Asami's arms meandered up Akihito's body, his hand was splayed across Akihito's chest holding him place. Asami rang Akihito's orgasm from his body, his hips arched in desperation in attempt to delve deeper into Asami's mouth. The coolness of the mirror was in stark contrast to the heat of Akihito's skin. Akihito couldn't just feel his orgasm rising he could see it. He could see the colour rising across his skin, his eyes growing wide and wild. He had never thought how terrible erotic it could be to be watch yourself orgasm.
The trip from the bathroom to the bedroom was a blur, Akihito so focused on Asami that everything else was blocked out. Asami felt an unexpected feeling of euphoria. He never knew that just being under the intense gaze of another could produce such an effect. It was like being looked at down the viewfinder of a camera. Akihito watched as Asami walked to draw, when he approached Akihito in his hands were three long red ribbons. Akihito was mesmerised as Asami first fastened his left wrist to the bedframe and then his right. The man had the lethal beauty of cobra. The last covered his eyes. Akihito's early encounters with Asami had given him a hint towards some of Asami's predilections, he found he wasn't perturbed if anything he was intrigued. He felt Asami's weight leave the bed. Now temporarily blinded Akihito's other senses went into overdrive. After a few moments he heard a light lilting sound, then something was placed on the bedside table.
The mattress dipped again and Akihito felt his legs being parted, and pushed towards his chest. Asami lay so that he was cradled by Akihito's legs. Akihito smiled at the feeling of Asami's cool hands against his warm skin. He felt Asami move, one arm hand reached across him, and he heard the same light lilting sound as before. Akihito gasped when he felt the sudden sensation of a cold on his chest, followed by the warming sweep of Asami's tongue. Then the cold came again this time circling his nipple, and Akihito realised that Asami was using ice. And the twin sensation of hot and cold to arouse him. Time seemed suspended, as Asami worked his way down Akihito's body using the ice to chill and his mouth to warm.
Akihito arched his back as he felt his cheeks parted and pressure from Asami's fingers , he hissed at the sensation of melting ice in this most intermit of areas. The warmth of Asami mouth soon followed wrenching from Akihito's lips keening cat calls and half formed pleas. This came to a stop when he no longer felt Asami's touch. Asami had halted all activity and had crawled up Akihito's body like a stalking cat. Akihito was confused and breathing hard why had Asami just stopped? He felt the mattress dip, but time it was near to his head. 'What the hell is he waiting for? Akihito was getting impatient and was in no uncertain terms about to give Asami a piece of his mind, when he felt something pushing its way past his lips. The familiar taste of Asami's impressive erection came to him, and he realised that Asami had repositioned himself. Asami had both knees either side Akihito's head, hands griping the bed frame. Akihito's position allowed Asami greater depth of penetration. The slow lazy rhythm of Asami hips were in contrast to his emotions. Ever since their first meeting Asami found that he couldn't help but think of Akihito. And thou unbidden they were not unpleasant.
Asami's knuckles were white, his grip was so strong that if the bed frame shattered it would not have been a surprise he was putting in enormous effort to restrain himself, to keep to that slow and lazy rhythm in respect for Akihito's lack of experience. Plus it proved that a slow and languid pace could be just as electric as a fast and frenzied one. Wishing to see his wildcat's eyes Asami pulled the blindfold off, tossing it aside. It took Akihito's eyes a few moments to get accustomed to the low light. He gazed into Asami's glinting eyes seeing himself reflected in them and that swaggering confidence that bordered on arrogance. He always thought that idea of drowning in someone's gaze was a silly one, but now he knew better.
Asami wanted to capture the light that was in those bright eyes. To hold it in his hands yet he knew no matter how hard he grasped a bit of that light would always escape. He would always being chasing that part of Akihito that couldn't be tamed or contained. To Asami the thought of such a chase made his blood sing. After all is it not that haze of mystery that adds enchantment to pursuit. Asami tugged at the ties on Akihito's wrists, Akihito's arms were free and they wrapped around Asami. One of Asami's hands reached between them and began to caress Akihito mounting erection.
Akihito shut his eyes and at the same time drew Asami mouth towards his. Akihito took possession of Asami's mouth, his tongue slipped in coaxing Asami to respond in kind. Akihito used his tongue to trace the shape of Asami's mouth. The taste of Asami's lips, the weight of his body on top of his own, and the sound of flesh hitting flesh rocked Akihito, nothing had ever felt this good. That terrified him, and this was the reason he shut his eyes. Akihito enjoyed looking at Asami, who wouldn't? But he couldn't look at him right know, if he did he knew he'd be lost. Lost in sensation, lost in lust, lost in … No that dangerous four letter L word had barring on this situation, in this arrangement, or relationship, because it wasn't going to last. Akihito was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't notice that Asami's hand had stopped massaging his erection, had had now migrated upwards and wrapped itself around his neck. "Look at me." When Akihito didn't comply, Asami's hand squeezed, his long powerful fingers with their deadly grace bit into Akihito's neck. Akihito eyes flew open "Don't take your eyes off of me."
Asami's free hand formed a ring with his fingers around the base of Akihito's cock. Asami's hips began to move again, thrusting deep into Akihito hitting his prostate. Guttural cries of pleasure with drawn from him. Akihito's legs locked around Asami's waist squeezing him, urging him on. Asami used his hips to adjust his depth of penetration, he used the very tip of cock to tease Akihito's prostate. A string of lust filled profanities were unleashed from Akihito. Akihito's hands gripped Asami's arms, his nails bit into Asami's biceps leaving bloody crescents in their wake. Asami's grip on both Akihito's cock and neck tightened, his hips thrust faster. Akihito's orgasm ripped through him, lights danced in his eyes. Asami growled beastly, electricity shot down his spine centred in abdomen and then burst like a supernova.
Asami awoke to find Akihito looking down at him, tracing patterns on his chest. Akihito snuggled up to Asami "Can you do something for me?"
"What?"
"I'm going to meet my mother, but…"
"But what?"
"I don't trust her. She's my mother and I know I should trust her, but I can't fully because something feels wrong."
"So you want me to have your meeting observed?"
"Yes. Maybe I'm being paranoid. I mean she's my mother she wouldn't intentionally hurt me."
"No she just keeps unintentionally hurting you, but your right it's too much of a coincidence that she returns now, it's better to be paranoid than dead."
Asami took personal charge of the operation. The place selected for the meeting – a local park was surveyed. Akira at Akihito's request ran through all the information they possessed on the drones, with him also being shown photos of the confirmed and suspected drones. Akihito's phones was going to be used to track him, but as an added precaution Asami had Kirishima place a device in one of Akihito's shoes.
To say that Akihito was nervous was an understatement, he sat on a bench watching the people go by picking at his cuticles. Asami, Suoh and Kirishima sat in a car not too far from the park, watching live footage of Akihito being streamed to Kirishima's tablet. Akihito looked at his phone she was late, he started to wonder if she had changed her mind. "Akihito"
He looked up and there was the women who had given birth him "Hello". Mariko sat down next to her son "You look good"
"Thanks" Akihito had to admit she looked better than when he last saw her. She wasn't wearing any make up, he hated it when she wore too much make up. She was wearing a simple black pea coat and blue jeans, and she did look well. "How have you been? Are you living with Ayame?"
"I'm fine and I don't leave with Ayame, I live on my own" He didn't want her to know that he was living with Asami
Mariko chuckled "I'm not surprised you've always been an independent little thing, but then I suppose you had to be." They were both silent neither one knew what to say next "So what are these friends of yours like?"
"Nothing like any of my old ones. It was after I left I found them or more accurately they found me. I was a mess Aki-kun. I know I was incredibly drunk most of the time, I don't remember big chunks of what happened. I found myself at a train station, I was going to end it all. I didn't have anything left, no friends, no family and my son didn't love me. I was just about to step off the platform in front a train. Then I felt someone grab me around the waist and pull me back. And that's how I met my friends. They taught me so much and helped me see clearly."
The reverent tone of her voice disturbed Akihito. "Are they a religious group?"
"No, they're not a cult or anything weird like that. There just a group of friends with a philosophy."
"And that is?"
"To own up to your mistakes and not to propagate them further. To do what you can to stop your mistakes from harming others. To make the world a better place."
Akihito fidgeted a little "It sounds like a very noble ideal."
"Yes it is, and that's why I want you to meet them."
"I…"
"Before you say anything just hear me out. I understand if you don't believe me, I'm an addict, an alcoholic, I lie. That's why I want you to meet them. So that you can see I'm not lying about who I've been with, about my commitment to change, or to be a better mother."
Akihito was speechless, his thoughts was muddled. Was it possible that she had changed? "I think we should take things slowly."
"So you do believe me?"
Akihito collected his thoughts, and knew what he had to do now he needed her to believe him "Yes."
"Would you come and meet my friends, they're such an important part of my life and I want you to understand."
Akihito wasn't expecting her to say that so soon, and he hesitated for a moment Asami had told him to stay in park, but she was his mother and deep down he wanted to believe everything she had said. She seemed so genuine and they had been some good times. And after all that was said and done she was still his mother. "Okay let's go."
"Brilliant follow me I borrowed a car." With her arm around him mother and son walked out of the park.
"I told the brat not to leave that spot." Said Asami through gritted teeth.
"She must have persuaded him somehow Sir, she is his mother maybe she has changed."
"I never took you for an optimist Kei." Said Suoh.
"I'm not but there is a possibility."
"People rarely change. They just get better at hiding their nature."
"Enough of this speculation!" snapped Asami "Follow them and instruct the men stationed in the park to do the same."
Akihito listened to his mother with uneasy feeling. Could she have allied with Suzumebachi? He tried to focus on what she wasn't saying rather than what she was. Akira once told him that what people didn't say was more important than what they did. He noticed she hadn't given away any names or locations. She always said 'my friend' or 'my friends'. If this was trap then Akihito decided he was going to walk into it. He had absolute faith that Asami was following him. This was a perfect opportunity to strike a blow against Suzmebachi. There was chance using himself as bait to draw out some Drones or at least some of Suzumebachi's underlings, and deliver them into Asami's hands.
Asami watched the moving red dot on Kirishima's tablet that symbolised Akihito, as Kirishima gave directions to the driver. Above in a helicopter was Akira he was using the surveillance equipment on board to gain a bird's eye view of the situation, he was also tasked with identifying any possible signs of anyone trying to run interference.
Akihito glanced at the speedometer he had noticed that his mother though sticking to the speed limit was driving faster than before. His gut told him that were being followed and she was reacting to that. However how could she have known? Asami and his men were professionals there is no way she could have spotted them following, unless she got extremely lucky. Akihito took a breath and clenched his sweaty hands in his lap. His mother smiled at him and he smiled back "We're almost there." He nodded it wouldn't be long before he found out if his suspicions were right all along.
Mariko turned off the main road and began to drive along quite back streets. Now Asami and the others had to put more distance between them and Mariko, as there was much less traffic to provide them with camouflage. Mariko pulled into a parked in an alley behind some boarded up shops "Is this where you're staying?"
"Yeah, one of my friend's owns the building. Why pay for a hotel when we can stay here for free. Come on." She got out of the car and waited for him to do the same he slide out of the passenger side and then followed through a door into the building. It was upon entering the building that Akihito realised though all the buildings looked separate on the outside, on the inside they had been knocked through to create one massive space. There was a flight of metal stairs that led up to the upper levels. There were sofas, mattresses, chairs, a makeshift kitchen, tables and some clothes strewn about the place. Mariko skipped towards the stairs and he followed behind her.
Meanwhile hovering above was Akira using the thermal imaging camera attached to the helicopter to determine the number of people inside the building Akihito and his mother had entered, not counting them there eight people in the building. He relayed this information back to Kirishima, who told him to remain in the air as long as he fuel supply allowed. The occupants of the care rechecked their weapons. In the boot of each car was a range of extra equipment they prove useful these included cable ties, Tasers, extra ammunition, and some larger weapon in the form of AK-47s. They say plan for the best and expect the worst. Asami Ryuichi expects the worst and plans for even worse.
The first floor of the building was very much the same as the ground. The second was different in that some of the inner walls and been retained, makeshift partitions and doors had been used to make rooms. What had struck Akihito since the moment he had arrived was the absence of people. There were signs of inhabitation but no inhabitants. "So where are these friends of yours?" No longer willing to fight his gut instincts Akihito began to back away from his mother to the stairs. "Here" said an unfamiliar voice and from behind Akihito's arms were seized and held in the secure grip of hands much larger than his own. Not counting the large ape like man who now held Akihito three men and two women appeared out of the improvised room. He recognised one of the women as Tsukiyono Natsumi AKA number Eleven from one of the photos Akira had shown him. Akihito tried to struggle but the gorilla man's grip increased "You crazy bitch!" He spat at Mariko.
"Now is that any way to talk to your mother?" said a man standing at Mariko's elbow
"It's alright Three-san I accustomed to his disrespect."
"MY DISRECPECT! YOU'VE DOWN NOTHING TO EARN MY RESPECT. IT TAKES MORE THAN PUSHING OUT A BABY TO MAKE YOU A MOTHER!"
There was a resounding slap, a red handprint bloomed across Akihito's check. Mariko gripped Akihito's hair forcing him to look at her "Do you know what I did that to gain your respect – I let you live. When I found out I was pregnant I was going to have an abortion. Why on earth would I want to lumber myself with some snot nosed brat? But then I thought about it, and I thought that maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing to have a baby. This little person would love me. Love me unconditionally. But you didn't love me. You were wrong. You were a mistake. It was my biggest mistake to let you live. And Suzumebachi is all about fixing mistakes."
"So let me get this straight I'm a mistake? I wasn't a mistake when I was holding your hair back as you were hunched up over the toilet throwing up! I wasn't a mistake when I was patching you up after some client had beat you up! I wasn't a mistake all the times you had passed out drunk and had to stop you from swallowing your own tongue! If I'm your mistake why don't deal with me yourself? You're pathetic!" Akihito laughed he knew that this would infuriate her, but it didn't half feel good to throw this women's weakness in her face, to confront her with her own hypocrisy. Plus the longer he could keep them all occupied the more time it would give Asami to arrive.
"I, I, I could if I want. However Suzumebachi-sama has a use for you before that occurs. I can't imagine what Asami Ryuichi sees in you? But then perhaps I shouldn't be surprised after all you were earning before you were even born. Don't look at me like that. I lost a good hostess job because of you, but it didn't turn out to bad there are men who paid a lot for a women in my condition." Her face was a vision of cruelty, she released his hair and turned to number Three "So where is my money? I was promised payment upon delivering him."
"Don't worry Mariko-san you'll get all you deserve. Number Eleven will give it to you" Mariko turned to face Eleven and her eyes grew wide with terror. Akihito watched as Mariko was shot once in the head and twice in the chest, the silencer absorbed the noise. They all looked on as her body hit the ground, as the life flowed out of her.
"What an odious women." Said Three "Nothing to say Akihito, I imagine you must be in shock, but don't tell me you've never wished it or wanted to do it yourself?" He put his hand on Akihito's face and their eyes locked. Number Three didn't look that much older than Akihito. He was pale and gaunt, his eyes were large and round, and so dark they looked like the purest black pearls. His mouth was like that of a cherub, it would have been a picture of innocence in another life. In this life it was a twisted mockery. "You do care that she's dead. You're not as cold as you think you are, but I think you've already discovered that. Do you have any idea what kind man you've got yourself mixed up with?"
"Yes. He's the kind of man that more people will hate than love. But he doesn't give a flying fuck. What about the man you serve? Where is he? If he's so great why does he need all of you? Why does he send you to fight and die? If this is his mission why doesn't he do things for himself? Is the Hornet a coward? A hypocrite? Say what you like about Asami at least he'll get his own hands dirty. At least you could never call him a coward." Akihito spat out the last word. Number Three's hand moved so fast it was nothing but a blur, it wasn't till Akihito felt Three's fist connect with his jaw, and tasted the blood in mouth that he realised what had happened. "Check his pockets, if he's got a phone destroy it." Said Three, one of the women went through Akihito's pockets and destroyed his phone. "Ten take care of the car Mariko came in, Four you go with him, Eleven go start the cars out back, Six take care of the body, Eight secure our guest and then go help Six, I'll keep an eye on Akihito." Akihito's hands were bound with cable ties, they were about to gag him when Six suggested that based on their study of Akihito's personality he wouldn't endanger innocent people trying to attract attention, plus the area was deserted.
The Drones scattered each one setting off to complete their tasks, Three pulled out phone and was about to inform his master of Akihito's capture when over the radio (for each Drone had a shortwave radio attached to their shoulder) came the voice of number Eleven "Three we have a problem, three cars have just pulled up back here there are blocking us in."
"Can you identify them?"
"The occupants are just getting out. I don't recognise any them but I can spot bastard Yakuza when I see them. I'm crouched down behind one our cars I don't think they've seen me yet."
Akihito looked at Three with a self-satisfied smirk on his face. The second tracking device had done its job and he'd kept them busy enough to give Asami's men to begin getting into position. "Four! Ten!" Barked Three "It looks like Asami has found us is the front clear?"
Number Four answered "Negative Three-san three more cars have pulled, the men are getting out now. I can tell you right now we don't have the numbers or the firepower to do anything more than hold them off, and we couldn't even do that for very long. Holy shit!"
"Four what is it?"
"The Dragon himself has just got out followed by Specs and the Bear. Where is a sniper when you need one?"
Four cut off and Three shouted down the radio for Six and Eight who came in with all alacrity. "Forget the body" said Three as the first shots were heard from outside. "Eight go help Eleven. Six follow them and take Akihito with you, I want you to use Akihito as a human shield. No doubt Asami has made it clear to his men that Akihito is not to be harmed, I can't imagine they would disobey him. I'll contact our master and go assist Four and Ten. You all know where to rendezvous".
In reality Number Three was making his escape, he strode down the stairs taking them two at a time. To Suzmebachi his Drones were expendable. The longest serving Drone was Number Three and he wasn't expendable. Over the years Drones had come and gone, some were killed by their target, others by Three, some by their own hand and some by Suzumebachi himself. Three made for the hidden exit that only he had his master knew about. Three knew that he faced punishment for not returning with Akihito, but he was prepared for that. In truth Three's feelings about Akihito were rather conflicted he wanted to obtain the boy to please his master, but at the same the idea that his master's special affection for him could be transferred to another deeply disturbed him. Anyway Akihito's fate was in the hands of Six, Eight and Eleven the latter two could completely trusted, Six was something of a wildcard but if he wanted to live he would do what needed to be done. However nothing could be done for Ten and Four, they were going to die there is no such thing as battle without bloodshed.
As Akihito was half dragged half carried down the stairs he could hear the sound of gunfire from both behind and in front of him. Though his hand were tied Akihito felt sure that if he threw all his weight into Six he would be able to make a run for it. But even if he did Eight would still be in front of him, and Six possibly behind him. Akihito decided to bide his time until they got outside with all hope Asami's men had dealt with Number Eleven.
Asami, Suoh and the guards made short work sweeping aside all resistance at the front of the building Four and Ten didn't stand a chance. Asami swept past the bodies of Four and Ten not even giving them a passing glance as he made his way into the building. Kirishima and the men with him were having a somewhat harder time dealing with Eleven. She was using the weapons secreted in the cars, plus the three cars provided excellent cover for her. She moved from car to car not letting herself be pinned down. Seeing some large industrial bins off to the side of the where the Drone's cars were parked Kirishima had a brainwave, ordering some of the men to drive number Eleven back from her current position towards the bins, the others would be spread out to stop her from making a break for it between the cars. If all went as planned she would fall back until she would be forced to use the corner of the building as cover. And when that happened she would be right were Kirishima wanted her.
Just as Kirishima planned Eleven was driven back and closer to Kirishima. She wasn't stupid she could see exactly what they were forcing her to do, but she couldn't escape.
In Kirishima's hand was a knife, a little thing with a six inch leaf shaped blade. It appeared quickly at the moment it was needed and not a moment before, in truth he had extracted it from a concealed leather sheath under his sleeve. This was Anna. To Kirishima Kei Anna was almost human. She was perfectly fashioned. Perfectly balanced. She was a beautiful angel of death who had taken many lives. The sunlight glinted coldly on the blade, it was as cold and inclement as the light in his eyes. Eleven didn't see Kirishima or Anna as she flew through the air, Anna buried herself into Eleven's neck. At the moment the Anna was the only thing keeping Eleven alive, if she had removed Anna she would bleed to death. Eleven turned to face Kirishima she raised her gun intending to put an end to him, but she wasn't fast enough. Shw saw three bright flashes, but didn't have time to react as the pain once again ripped through her body. Kirishima had thrown three scalpels, one struck her dominate arm forcing her to drop her weapon, another buried itself just below her right collar bone and the last that was the worse - it had struck her left eye. Even if by some miracle she survived she would never see in that eye again. Kirishima approached her gun in hand and she stared up at him. He was the very last thing she ever beheld.
The bright sunlight blinded Akihito, he shut his eyes instinctively he could hear voices shouting at Six and Eight telling them to surrender. Then came guns shots Six's arm slackned enough that Akihito managed to get free only to be then be recaptured and pulled back towards Six's body. From the corner of his eye Akihito saw Eight slump to the ground, Six retreated back inside the building with Kirihsima and the others hot on his heels. Dragging Akihito Six made a break for the stairs that they had come down from, but the sight of Asami, Suoh and the others coming down the stairs. Six was trapped between the devil and the deep blue sea. "Let him go." Commanded Asami. Six backed into the wall the muzzle of his gun bored into Akihito's temple, Akihito could feel that his back was wet, he came to the correct conclusion that Six had been shot and was now using Akihito as a shield if either side tried attempted to shot him there was a high probability that they would hit Akihito. Six was like a cornered animal. Suoh followed up his boss' command with one of his own adding a command for him to drop his weapon. Six then told them if they got any closer he'd shoot Akihito "Tell me" he said "Are you all so sure of your skill and speed that you could kill me before I could kill him? Asami tell your men to lower their weapons"
"Do as he says." First the guards lowered their weapons, then Kirishima and then Suoh but Asami's remained trained on Six. All of Asami's men are excellent marksmen that goes without saying, however Asami was in a league of his own if anyone could kill this bastard without harming Akihito it was Asami. "You didn't say anything about me."
"Katakura Tomu." Everyone looked at Akihito this was the first time since the standoff began that Akihito had made a sound. He didn't cry, didn't scream, and didn't beg he didn't do any of the things one would perhaps expect of a hostage. Instead he had forced his mind to think back to when Akira had shown him the photographs of the suspected drones. Only two of the drones had been named, Tsukiyono Natsumi AKA number Eleven and Katakura Tomu AKA number Six. Akira had also filled Akihito in both the histories of these drones "Katakura Tomu that is your name is it not? Before they called you Six. I saw a photo of you before you were taken, you've changed a lot." Akira had two pictures of Katakura one prior to his abduction and the other post abduction.
The two images showed just how much time and circumstances can change a person. Katakura had been a man of average looks and build. He was not a physically remarkable man. His eyes though showed a man of a cheerful nature and a kind disposition. Now the once average man was not average anymore the strength of his arms and the hardness of his body testified to that. He had a beard now and his hair was longer, but the biggest change was in his eyes the light had been dimmed, he had a faraway look in his eyes. Akihito knew that look he had worn it himself. It was the look in your eyes that you get when you're divorcing yourself from reality, putting yourself on auto pilot so that you don't have to think about anything you are doing . You are there but you are not and sometimes that is the only way to cope. "You had a life, you had a family, friends, a job, and you had freewill. Now what do you have nothing. And that's because the Hornet took all that away from you. What you're doing now this isn't you. How did the Hornet make you do this? Let me guess he threatened your family. I know what you're trying to do, I know that you want to protect your family that everything you've done has been to protect them. I know that if you think your gone that nothing bad will happen to them, but suicide by Yakuza is not the way to achieve this." Akihito was sweating bullets, this whole day had been full of death and Akihito was sick of it ,he wasn't going to let one more person die today.
"Shut up." Said Katakura between gritted teeth.
"Please don't do it, don't die like this today because that is the way Suzmebachi wants you to die. If you want to end your life that is your prerogative, but I won't let you do it today and I won't let you do it like this. Katakura take your revenge against Suzumebachi because he is the reason you're here he stole your life because it suited him. He didn't care that he damaged your family." Akihito pitched his voice low in the same way you'd talk to a small child or animal. "You know that I'm right. If you want to die later that's your prerogative, but before you do take your revenge. Tell Asami everything you know. Avenge yourself, avenge your family take revenge for the life you should have had. Are you completely without any will of your own? Make up your mind …"
"SHUT UP!" growled Katakura
"Everything you love has been stolen from you, everything you could have loved has been denied. If you die here and now just like he wants you to then all you have suffered will have been for nothing. All you have left is revenge, because you know that you can't go back to being the person you were."
Asami and the others listened intensely to Akihito's words and watched the scene unfold in front of them with equal intensity. At first they had no clue as to Akihito's intentions but as the boy's words came out his intentions became clear. Asami's finger was ready on the trigger of his gun, his line of vision was not perfect Akihito would get a flesh wound if he shot Katakura, nevertheless that was better than him being dead. For Asami knew that when duress is applied to those that are not emotionally stable the results can be unpredictable and violent.
And that is the end of this chapter. I must say I feel a bit out of practice so I hope this alright. I hope that you enjoyed this and let me know your thoughts.
