A/N: Thanks for all the reviews. I really appreciate them. Hope you like this next chapter just as much.
Disclaimer: I only own Miranda Norton.
The children's Easter party had finally arrived and they were all eager to rush outside and fill their baskets with colorful Easter eggs. They were all lined up at the classroom door. Miranda held up her hand as a sign to quiet them all. It worked because all the children stopped talking. When Miranda was satisfied with her work, she lead her class out to the playground.
There must have been over a thousand colorful eggs hidden throughout the playground. Every child was wildly running and tossing eggs into their baskets. Within five minutes, all eggs had been cleared from the area. After all the children had found every egg, Miranda called them over to her.
"Class, since it's such a beautiful day today," she began. "I thought you'd all like to enjoy the rest of the party outside. Is everyone okay with that," she didn't have to wait long for an answer because all the children opted that it was a good idea.
"Miss Norton," asked Grant. "can we eat our candy now?"
"Yes you can, but remember to throw your trash away in the trashcans," said Miranda.
The children had all found somewhere to sit and enjoy their candy. Jason, Derek, Savannah and Elle chose to sit near the slide. Jordan, Ashley and Maeve each sat down on a swing. Spencer, Penelope, Aaron, JJ and David sat down on the merry go round. And Emily, Will, Kevin, Alex, Grant, Haley, Beth and Clyde were all sitting inside the jungle gym.
"Derek, you really don't have to take your shirt off just to eat a chocolate marshmallow egg or any kind of candy for that matter," said Elle. She rolled her eyes as she was slightly annoyed that Derek was now shirtless.
"For your information, I didn't take my shirt off to eat a piece of candy. I took it off so my abs can breathe. They need some fresh air," said Derek.
"Ewe!" Savannah shrieked as she spit out a piece of chocolate onto the ground next to her.
Thinking she was disgusted by him, Derek was immensely offended.
"Well, that's just rude. You're supposed to be my girlfriend," He said. "How would you like it if I said something mean about your hair?"
"What about my hair," Savannah was just inches away from Derek's face. She could see the fear in his eyes as he scooted away from her.
"I don't think she was talking about your abs," Jason quickly intervened. He clearly didn't want to see an argument. Elle on the other hand, was now to busy admiring all the colorful eggs in her basket. "She was talking about the piece of candy she ate."
"Yeah. It was coconut! I hate coconut," Savannah explained. She made a face of disgust.
"Oh, well that makes so much more since now," said Derek. "There's no way that anyone would be disgusted by my amazing six pack abs."
"PUT YOUR SHIRT BACK ON! NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOUR FAKE ABS!' Jordan shouted from a swing.
"WHO SAID THAT," Derek shouted back. "MY ABS ARE NOT FAKE! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!"
"I THINK IT WAS SOME FIFTH GRADER! HE LOOKED VERY SCARY LOOKING!" Jordan lied. She, Ashley and Maeve giggled.
"OH! IF HE WAS SCARY LOOKING, THEN I'LL JUST HAVE MY GIRLFRIEND BEAT HIM UP," said Derek. He then turned to Savannah and whispered, "You'll beat him up, right?"
"Sure. Whatever," said Savannah. She was busy with tasting the candy in her Easter eggs.
Jordan, Ashley and Maeve were still laughing about what Jordan had just done. They were surprised that Derek didn't recognize Jordan's voice.
"How did he not know that it was you who yelled at him," asked Maeve.
"I don't know," said Jordan. "maybe he thinks a fifth grader sounds like a first grader?" She suggested.
"There are no fifth graders out on the playground right now," said Ashley. "I can't believe he actually believed it!"
David decided to hop off the merry go round and spin it while Spencer, Aaron, Penelope and JJ were still sitting on it and eating their candy. David was even running with the merry go round. He was simply walking very slowly with it, but somehow, it was too fast for Spencer.
"Can you please stop spinning the merry go round so fast," said Spencer. He wrapped his arms around his stomach. "It's starting to make me sick." He placed a hand over his mouth, thinking he was going to throw up. Luckily, it was just a false alarm.
"The merry go round isn't even going that fast," JJ rolled her eyes in annoyance. "You're probably only getting sick because you've eaten most of your candy already and half of ours too."
"It's not my fault you all offered me some of your candy," Spencer stuck his tongue out at his classmates.
"We didn't offer you any of our candy! You just helped yourself to it," said Aaron.
"Can we not fight and just enjoy that pretty little bumble bee that's flying around," Penelope asked hopeful. She had just saw a bumble bee fly by. The other four children ducked in fear.
"As long as it stays far away from here, sure I'll enjoy it," David began. "but if it comes near here, then I'm sending it to bumble bee heaven or…"
"Don't say that word," Penelope hastily got off the merry go round and clamped her hand over David's mouth. "Hell is a very bad word," She said.
"You just said it," Aaron pointed out.
Penelope gasped when she realized that Aaron was right. She had just said the word that she told David not to say.
"I'm sorry," she apologized. "I didn't mean to say it."
"It's not that big of a deal," JJ scoffed. "There are a lot more words that's worst than that word." She through a comforting arm around Penelope.
"Here Penelope. This will make you feel better," Spencer handed her a piece of candy.
"You're giving me a piece of your candy? Thanks. That's really nice of you, Spencer," Penelope smiled.
"You're welcome, but it's not from my Easter basket. It's from Aaron's."
"Wait what," Aaron asked clearly taken aback.
"Don't worry, it's just the strawberry crème filled white chocolate bunny," said Spencer. "the kind you hate."
"Oh. Well in that case," Aaron smiled at Penelope. "enjoy the candy."
Inside the jungle gym, Emily, Will, Kevin, Alex, Grant, Haley, Beth and Clyde were coming up with a scheme to take everyone else's Easter eggs. Being the mastermind, Emily sat in the center, while everyone else sat around her.
"Okay here's the plan," She began. "Agents Rotten Egg Bunny, Easter Cheese and Bubblegum Grass, that's the three of you," She looked at Grant, Clyde and Beth. "You three will go near the slide. Agents…"
"Wait," Clyde interrupted Emily, who rolled her eyes in protest. "Sorry, but my first name for my spy name is my actual last name." He pointed out.
"Your last name is Easter," asked Alex. She seemed shocked about it. "I thought it was St. Patrick."
"It is," said Emily. "He just likes Easter for a last name because it sounds much more fancier."
"My last name isn't St. Patrick and Easter really is my last name," Clyde protested, but Emily wouldn't listen.
"Well, St. Patrick would have been your last name if your eight times great grandmother decided not to take your eight times great grandfather's last name when they got married."
"I'm pretty sure no one in my family has ever had St. Patrick for a last name," said Clyde. "I think I would know if anyone did."
"Uh, I'm pretty sure you don't know what you're talking about," Emily snootily said. "Trust me. I've seen your family tree."
"I think you're lying about seeing my family tree," said Clyde. "and if you did see my family tree, why are you looking at it in the first place anyway?"
"I was trying to find some secrets about your family!"
"Did you find anything interesting," Will leaned forward, desperate to know.
Emily sighed.
"No. I couldn't find anything at all."
"Oh," said Will, disappointed as he scooted back into place.
"Well that's in the past now," Emily shrugged her shoulders. "let's move on to now. As I was saying, Agents Marshmallow Bread, Spring Flowers and Peanut St. Butters, that's the three of you," she said to Alex, Kevin and Haley. "You three will go near the swings." She then brought her attention to Will. "And you, Agent I Didn't Get A Spy Name Until The Last Minute and I," She pointed at herself. "will go near the merry go round. Oh and my spy name is Agent Christmas Doughnut Sprinkles."
"Can I trade with someone else," asked Will. There was a look of fear in his eyes. "It's just that JJ is over at the merry go round and I'm kind of afraid of her."
Beth rolled her eyes.
"Fine. I'll trade places with you, wait she doesn't have her soccer ball with her, does she?" Now she was beginning to get scared. Whenever JJ had her soccer ball with her, chances are that if you angered her, you would get a soccer ball to the face.
"No. She told me her parents took it away from her for a whole month after she kicked it at a mirror in the house," said Haley. "So you're totally safe from getting hit by a soccer ball today."
"Why would JJ kick a soccer ball at a mirror," Kevin asked in a state of confusion. "Was she trying to hit herself?"
"No. She told me she was trying to play soccer with her twin sister until the ball hit the mirror and she realized that she didn't have a twin sister."
"Well moving on from JJ's crazy antics," Emily began. "does everyone know the plan?" She was satisfied when everyone nodded in agreement. "Good. Now let's…"
"Time to go back inside now," Miranda shouted. The jungle gym kids clearly wasn't too happy with her for stopping their little mission.
"Seriously Miss Norton," Emily shouted in protest. "You ruined our plan to take everyone else's eggs!"
End of chapter twenty five. I'd love to know what you all thought. So please leave me some reviews. I'll try to have chapter twenty six up as soon as I can.
