CHAPTER THREE
They ride the elevator down and when the door opens they exit holding hands. They head to the restaurant that is inside the hotel. They grip each others hand reassuringly and walk in and the hostess comes up to them. "Mr. Morgan, a table for two?"
"Yes." Jason says.
The hostess leads them past some shocked people. They were not expecting to see Robin and Jason together and he had his hand on her back leading her and she didn't seem to mind. They both saw people they recognized and even Carly and Jax were having dinner and they were both sure it was Carly's way of wanting to see what happened first hand. Carly was smiling while Jax was scowling.
Sam, who was there with Alexis and Nicholas was not happy either. Why would Jason be with that woman of all people? She was HIV+ of all things and Jason should not want to be with Robin, he should want to be back with her.
Patrick was another person who was not happy. He was there with some people from the hospital. Andy, Liz, Leo, Leyla, and Epiphany and he didn't understand why Robin would be with that thug. He had no emotions so what could Robin see in him. Liz felt like the wind had been knocked out of her. Why was he with Robin?
Robin said after they were seated, "We seem to be drawing quite a lot of attention, Carly and Jax, Sam is sitting with Alexis and Nicholas and she does not look happy and Patrick doesn't look happy at all, neither does Liz."
"I wonder why that is, all we are doing is having dinner together. Why would that upset certain people here? What do you think?" Jason asked straight-faced.
Robin laughed at that taking delight in what Jason had said. He knew that people were going to wonder why they were together, rather they were friends or more, now.
Patrick was staring at Robin who was laughing at whatever Jason had said. How could she laugh at what he had said? He was not a bit funny. When had Jason Morgan become funny? As far as Patrick was concerned he hadn't. Something Jason said had been funny to Robin. Robin was obviously having a good time with Jason and Patrick hated it. Robin was supposed to be upset, ready to give in and not have kids, to be with him. She wasn't supposed to be with her ex having a good time. She was supposed to be miserable.
Robin knew that Patrick was not happy with how things were going. He was scowling at her and Jason and she loved it and Jason was keeping her laughing telling her about things Spinelli had done. Their dinner arrived and Robin ate some and gave Jason a taste and Jason gave her one and they shared their dinners with each other.
Patrick was furious at this, Liz and Sam realized they never made Jason laugh and have a good time like that. They were jealous and trying not to show it but it was written on their faces.
Carly loved watching Patrick, Sam, and Liz mad and upset. She loved it and her husband was wondering why Carly hadn't run over to Jason table and disrupted them. Jax didn't understand the smile on his wife's face at all. He was sure that she knew something that he didn't and wasn't sure he wanted to know but would ask her about when they were alone.
Dessert came and of course it was chocolate and they took turns feeding it to each other, laughing as they got it on each other's face a little bit.
Patrick was furious and had enough of watching Robin and Jason together, feeding each other from the same fork dessert sent him through the roof. He got up and marched over to their table and demanded of Robin when Patrick got to Jason and Robin's table he opened his mouth and said, "What the hell do you think you are doing with this thug?"
"Jason isn't a thug, Patrick and what am I doing with him? I would think you would figure out this is a date. You know going out to dinner with a member of the opposite sex." Robin looked at Jason who nodded. "We are also celebrating the fact is Jason and I did the AI today. So we are hoping that I got pregnant today and I am moving out of the MC soon, I have my own place again, so there is a lot to celebrate."
"Jason is your donor? How could you Robin, I told you, you don't need kids, I don't want them, they just get in the way."
Mac had come into the restaurant with Maxie and Georgie and heard the last little bit about Robin not needing kids that they get in the way. He wondered what Robin was doing with Jason but decided to ignore that fact for now.
Mac spoke upset with Patrick. "Yes, my niece does need to have a baby, kids are a blessing, Patrick, and Robin deserves to have that blessing and furthermore she wants kids, so do everyone a favor and leave her alone to fulfill her dreams."
"Oh, so you're okay that Jason is going to be the father of her long awaited for baby? They had AI done today with Jason's sperm." Patrick told a shocked Mac who looked at his niece and Jason and sees their smiles and can tell by the expression on his nieces' face that Patrick spoke the truth.
Now what? Was Mac going to be mad at her, Robin wondered. She wouldn't have to wait for long to find out.
