It's been forever since I added a chapter to Reading. But this one is good. Sets up a few things for the future. It's the companion for chapter 56 of Through the Headlines.

"Do you think he'll be much longer? He went out with Shin, Zhou and Taka today right? Maybe their hanging out tonight too?" Korra asked out loud. She, Asami and Mako were waiting on the docks for Bolin so they could head over to island for the evening.

"Let's give him ten more minutes and then we can take the acolytes' ferry across and leave the speed boat for him," Asami suggested.

"This is why we need to hurry up and find our own apartment. We've been spent way to long on the island."

"You know Tenzin doesn't mind. There's no rush to find a place," Korra said.

"I know, but still. The main reason we stayed as long as we did because the city was in such a state after the giant robot and spirit bomb."

The girls both nodded.

"How's it going by the way?" Asami asked, "Apartment hunting?"

Mako gave a despondent sigh.

"That bad?"

"It's really hard to find a good place that I can afford. I should have started looking months ago, rent was lower then. I should have known everything would go up once the new sectors started opening."

"Aren't you and Bolin to move in together? You're not going split the cost?"

"Yeah, but I have a feeling Bolin will want to move into his own place sooner rather than later. I want to make sure if and when he does decide to move out I can afford the rent on my own."

"You think Bolin is really going to get his own place soon?" Asami asked.

Mako nodded, "Varrick is already about another mover, so his career is only going up. And things are starting to get serious with him and Opal. Plus he's 21. He's not going to want to live with his big brother forever."

"And do you want to live on your own?"

He shrugged, "Bolin and I have always been together. But I guess, all things have to come to an end."

"There's Bolin," Korra pointed. Bolin was hurrying towards to them, waving several magazines in the air.

"I'm going to guess the reviews for his mover came out," Asami chuckled.

"Guys, guys! You won't believe the great reviews we got!" He skidded to a stop in front of them, gasping for air. He doubled over, holding out the stack of magazine and newspapers in his hand.

"That's great Bolin," Mako said.

"Oh and I've got a surprise for you." Bolin grinned at his brother.

"Me? What?"

"Hold on," He rifled through the magazines, "It's here somewh- AH HA!" He pulled out The United Sun with a flourish. On the cover there were multiple pictures from the red carpet. Among them were pictures of Mako, Zhao and Shin. Mako spotted the word heartthrob and grabbed the magazine. Unfortunately Korra and Asami had also seen the cover.

"Oh no, don't hide it," Korra made grabs for it, "Give it here. Let us see."

Mako used is elbow to keep her back, holding the magazine away from her with his other hand. Korra grabbed his arm, trying to pull him aside to reach it. While they were preoccupied with the jostling Asami simply stepped around them and plucked the magazine from Mako's hand and flipped to the article about him.

"Hey! Asami!" He exclaimed.

"What's going on?" Bolin asked.

Asami skimmed through the article quickly, a smile growing on her lips. "Sorry Mako, looks like you're not getting a new bike."

He groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Bike? What? What do I not know?"

"We had a bet with Mako on whether or not the tabloids would write anything about him," Korra informed him.

"And Mako lost."

"What was the bet?"

"Well, if Mako won I was going to give him a new motorbike,"

"But since he's lost we're collecting the prize." Korra grinned.

"You two are serious about this? It's a ridiculous idea."

"What do you guys get?" Bolin asked.

"He has to let us help him find a girlfriend."

"Oh," Bolin's eyes lit up, "That's interesting. I'm in."

"Bro!"

"What? It sounds like fun."

Mumbling under his breath Mako turned to the boat. "Fine, whatever. Let's just go for now. I'm hungry."

The trio chuckled as they followed him.
