The companion chapter to chapter 61 in through the headlines.
"So you already know," Asami said as she walked into the room and spotted Korra sitting cross-legged on the couch staring at a copy of the Fire National on the coffee table.
"Tenzin gave me the papers," She said, still staring at the newspaper.
"I tried calling Air Temple Island before but they said left not long after talking to Tenzin,"
"I wanted to be alone for a while,"
"Do you still want to be alone?"
She shook her head, so Asami sat next to her.
"I haven't gotten to speak with anyone since I read it myself. If there any word why they haven't moved them to higher security prison?"
"It's Izumi's plan. They are trying to draw the two remaining out,"
"What's wrong?" Asami frowned, sensing something was off.
"I… don't know,"
"Hey," Asami said, placing a hand on her knee, "Talk to me,"
"It just… I don't know. It feels too easy. There was no fight,"
"You mean there was no fight for you,"
Korra didn't answer.
"I know you've been tense about this since they first escaped,"
For the first time, Korra looked away from the embolden headlines, looking down in her lap, then at Asami.
"If they're captured, why don't I feel like it's over?"
"Maybe because they're not all captured yet. But they will be. Fire Lord Izumi is clever. She'll see to their recapture,"
"I was thinking," Korra looked down again, "About going to the fire nation,"
"Why?"
"I could help them search, or integrate the ones they do have,"
"Korra, you don't have to that,"
"I know. But maybe if I do that I won't feel so helpless,"
"Hey, look at me, Asami said. When Korra didn't Asami took her chin and turned her to face her, "Just because you're the avatar doesn't mean you have to do everything. You've already done enough in your lifetime. And, yes, the world is going to need again. It will always need the avatar. But you're allowed to step back sometimes. This may not have ended in a big fight for us, but don't you think that's it about time we didn't have to deal with some crisis in the world?"
Korra gave a dry chuckle, a smile appearing on her lips for a moment. She sighed and hugged Asami. She held her tightly, burying her face into the crook of her next. Asami combed her fingers through her hair.
"You need to remember that you can't be the avatar if when you worry about every problem the world has you forget to let yourself just be Korra. Some people just need Korra sometimes too. Take some time and think about if you really want to go the Fire Nation. If you still feel like you do, then I'll do with you,"
"Really?" Korra pulled back to look her.
"Of course,"
"But Future Industries –
"Can run a few days without me if it needs to. You're more important,"
Korra smiled, leaning forward to kiss her, "Thank you,"
