A fierce banging sound started up on the roof of the Haddock house, it was so fierce, it caused both Hiccup and Caverna to sit bolt upright in their beds. However, by doing this, Hiccup gabbed his bed sheets whilst Caverna grabbed one of her swords, though they both relaxed at hearing Stoick's voice.

"Caverna, Hiccup, if you two don't stop them dragons from breaking the roof, you'll both be in trouble!"

His outburst caused the siblings to roll their eyes, and they both got up.

"We're on it!" They shouted back in unison, before they got dressed for the day ahead, then meeting each other on the other side of their bedroom doors, headed downstairs and out of the house together.

"Snowcap, come down." Caverna called up.

"You too bud." Hiccup called, and they watched as both Night Furies landed on the floor and made their ways over to their riders. Snowcap almost threw her head into her rider as she nuzzled her; whilst Toothless went one step further and pushed Hiccup into the snow, licking him.

"Ugh, Toothless!" Hiccup cried out, before he somehow managed to slide out of the reptile's grip and he wiped off the excess dragon saliva. "You know that doesn't wash out."

Meanwhile, Caverna was grinning like a Cheshire cat at her brother as she was enjoying a loving nuzzle from her dragon, before Snowcap lay down so that she could mount her saddle, and with a roll of his eyes, Hiccup and Toothless soon done the same. When both riders were comfortable, their dragons both shot off into the sky.

When they got a high as they could go without getting light headed, they soon heard a familiar squawk. The sound caused both riders to turn their heads and they found Lightning following them.

"He's meant to be with Heather." Hiccup told her.

"It's not my fault; I did look after him from an egg Hiccup." She reminded him as she lifted a hand up and Lightning flew above her nuzzling his head to her hand, before he moved to fly alongside her.

"I know." He raised his own hand up and Lightning flew over to him, nuzzling into his hand as well. "I'm sorry boy, I'll find Heather another dragon, I shouldn't have tried to force you away from my sister." Hiccup told him, smiling as Lightning nuzzled him again, before flying alongside them.

The siblings smiled at each other as they flew alongside each other, enjoying the silence and peace that came with their early morning flights with their dragons. After a while, they decided to land and they landed the dragons in Toothless' Cove, the siblings sitting on a group of rocks whilst the dragons drank from the water and lounged in the sun.

"Caverna, can I ask your opinion?" Hiccup asked her.

"Of course Hiccup, what's the matter?" Caverna asked him.

"Do you think that I would make a good husband?" He asked her.

The question caught his sister off guard and she looked at him. "Well, I think you would, but I don't see why you're asking me." She told him.

"Because, I'm thinking of asking Astrid to marry me." Hiccup told her, looking at the floor, so he didn't notice what his sister was doing, until he found himself on the floor, his sister hugging him tightly.

"Oh my gods, Hiccup that is amazing!" She smiled, looking at him. "When are you going to ask her?"

"Tonight...Now let me breathe, please." He choked out, sitting up to breathe as his sister got up.

The rest of them sat there with happy sitting there on the rock, the new information giving them both a giddy feeling. After a few minutes, Hiccup had showed his sister the ring that he had made in order to propose to Astrid. The ring was made of shining silver, with blue and yellow Deadly Nadder scales embedded over the top, with one overlapping the other as they formed a sort of chain.

"Oh Hiccup, it's gorgeous, she's going to love it." Caverna smiled, putting it back into the small box that he had produced it from and put it back into his pocket.

Hiccup smiled. "I hope she does like it." He couldn't stop smiling despite his doubts that what he had made wasn't good enough for his girlfriend.

Eventually they grew tired of staying in the cove, and they mounted the dragons, and flew back towards the village. When they got back, they found that everyone were busy with the last preparations for their annual holiday, Snoggletog. Hiccup smiled as he found Astrid decorating a wooden tree in the centre of the village with the help of her dragon Stormfly. She was so entranced in her work that she almost screamed when she felt arms around her, and she grabbed her axe, ready to hit Hiccup with it, before she put it down when she saw that it was him.

"Hiccup!" She shouted, suddenly punching him in the shoulder. "Don't do that!"

Hiccup laughed. "My apologise, m'lady." He kissed her lips gently, just as they heard a squawk and they pulled away to see that Lightning and Stormfly were now play fighting with each other as Caverna, Toothless and Snowcap looked on.

"I'm going to go and see Fishlegs, so I'll see you both at the Great Hall later." Caverna told them and she left the group.

Caverna walked around the entire village, but she couldn't find Fishlegs anywhere. She checked his house, but his parents hadn't seen him since he left after breakfast, she had checked all of their favourite hang outs, the dragon academy, the Great Hall, heck she's even checked Tuffnut's dark soggy alone place. But everywhere she looked, Fishlegs or Meatlug couldn't be seen. However, in reality, Fishlegs was in the Haddock house talking to the chief.

"You want to do what Fishlegs?" Stoick asked.

"Well Sir, I know that I can't actually marry your daughter, but...Well...Um...I want to have some form of relationship with her that means more than just boyfriend and girlfriend..."

"Say no more Fishlegs, but if you wish to marry my daughter, then you shall, but you will still have to pay a dowry of sorts." Stoick told the now very red faced boy.

Fishlegs nodded. "Don't worry Sir, I plan to." He nodded. "Thank you, Sir." Fishlegs bowed his head and left the house, finding Meatlug outside and Caverna now scratching the side of her face.

"Caverna!" Fishlegs froze in surprise.

"There you are Fishlegs, I've been looking everywhere for you."

"Oh...Um...Well...I uh can't stop...I've got things to do." Fishlegs told her, quickly walking away, surprised when she didn't question him but also slightly upset that he just left her stood there as Meatlug followed him.

Caverna watched him go, before she walked into the Haddock house. "Dad, I'm home." She smiled at seeing Stoick sat by the fire whittling what was taking the form of a duck.

Stoick looked over at his daughter and his eyes followed her as she walked into the kitchen, pulling her hood down and letting her thick dark hair fall down her back.

"Hello Caverna." He put his whittling down when he found that she was struggling to reach something on a shelf and he soon walked over and got the item for her. It turned out to be a small goblet, it used to be Valka's but Caverna had started to use it since she didn't have much to drink with her food and Stoick watched his daughter grab some bread and some cheese before she set that at the table and went back to pour herself a glass of water before she put that with her meal.

"Is that all your having?" Stoick asked.

"It's all I can make, without burning it." She told him as she started to eat.

Stoick sat across from her and he watched her, smiling softly to himself as he remembered the conversation that he had had with Fishlegs seconds before she came in and he smiled at how oblivious she seemed.

"What are you smirking about?"

In his almost blindness, Stoick hadn't noticed his daughter look up at him from her food and nor did he realise that he was smirking.

"Nothing, you just remind me so much of your mother, that's all." He smoothed the back of his left hand down her right cheek, watching as she leant into his hand. "Happy Snoggletog my daughter."

"Happy Snoggletog, my father." She told him with a smile, just as the door blew open and Hiccup walked in, shaking both snow from his hair and the chill of the sudden snow storm.

At seeing Hiccup come home, Stoick smiled, moving over to the fireplace and sitting down by the fire in his large armchair.

"Well, I think it's now time for presents." Stoick told them, watching as both of his children joined him as they sat on the bear skin rug in between Stoick and the fire, where Stoick reached under his chair and pulled out two wrapped packages, handing them to his children. "Caverna, you can unwrap yours first."

Caverna nodded and set about pulling the parchment off of the parcel, soon revealing a fur shawl and hood. "Oh my gods, dad this is amazing." She beamed as she looked at her brother. "Will you help me to put it on Hiccup?"

Hiccup nodded, smiling at his sister's excitement, before he kneel on his knees behind her and set to work attaching the fur shawl and hood to her outfit, before he pulled the hood up over her head along with her original one. Stoick smiled as he watched Caverna stand up and look in the mirror, her hair had swept itself forward so some locks went over her shoulders and the hood stayed in place on her head.

"You look beautiful Caverna." Hiccup smiled.

"Just like your mother." Stoick smiled, brushing a hand down Caverna's left cheek, before he pulled out a parcel for Hiccup.

Hiccup looked at him, before he tore through the paper that held the package, revealing a new thicker sketching pad and a large bit of silver. "Whoa, dad this is amazing." Hiccup smiled, before he looked at the two of them, Caverna still admiring her fur hood in the mirror and Stoick watching them both proudly.

"I've got some presents for you two too."Hiccup told them, and he removed a floorboard, and pulled out a small box which he handed to his sister, though he held a finger up asking her to wait, before she opened it, as he moved to a nearby cupboard pulled out a shield, which he handed to his father.

As Stoick saw the shield, he was taken aback, he knew that Hiccup was good at crafting things, but he didn't realise just how good. He admired the shield, it was large, with a picture of the Berk crest directly in the middle and in the background, there was dark and light green vines crossing over each other over and over again, with the edge decorated with steel studs. It was the perfect shield for a chief, but even now Hiccup was stood there awkwardly hoping his father liked his gift.

"Um, do you like it?" Hiccup asked, starting to shuffle in discomfort.

Stoick looked up at his son. "Hiccup, I love it." Stoick told him. "A finer shield has never been crafted."

Hiccup smiled brightly. "It goes well with the gift Caverna has for you." He told him.

"But we'll get to that, let's let Caverna open hers." They both looked at Caverna and they couldn't help but laugh, since Caverna was sat on the floor, cross-legged just staring at the still wrapped parcel that she had carefully placed on the floor.

"Okay Caverna, you can open it." Hiccup told her, moving to sit beside her.

Caverna lance dup at her brother, before she started to unwrap the present, soon coming down to a small box, though this time she looked up at her brother in confusion.

"Open the box." Hiccup told her.

Caverna looked back at the box and she pulled it open carefully, soon simply staring at the gift inside. Inside the box was a silver bangle, with her name inscribed into it along with an image of both a Deadly Nadder and a Night Fury.

"Oh Hiccup, it's beautiful." She told him, looking at him.

Hiccup smiled, pulling the bangle from the box and he held his other hand out for her wrist, and when he had it, he slid the bangle onto her wrist. He smiled even more when she suddenly sat up on her knees and hugged him, to which he hugged her back just as eagerly.

"I love it." She told him when they pulled away and she was able to look at him, before she made her way over to Stoick. "Look dad, it's so pretty." She held her wrist with the bangle out to him.

Stoick smiled at the sight of Caverna acting like a child, after all this was her first eve Snoggletog, she deserved to enjoy it. "It is beautiful; your brother certainly is skilled in the art of forgery."

Hiccup smiled in pride, before he looked at Caverna as she was suddenly on her feet. "It's my turn to give the presents now"

Both men looked at her expectantly, before she looked at Hiccup and pointed to the stairs. "It's on your bed, you need to put it on and come down here to show us, so hurry up." She told him, playfully pushing him towards the stairs.

Hiccup just laughed and he went upstairs to his room, though he didn't expect to see what was waiting for him. On his bed was his flight suit, neatly spread out on the bed with a note lying on top.

"To my big brother, Hiccup, I told you I'd finish it sooner or later. I hope you like it, love your little sister, Caverna." Hiccup read the note to himself and this only increased his smile, before he looked back at the suit. It was a plain black, just like his sister's only whilst hers held the Berk emblem on the top of her left arm, his was on the right hand side. Taking off his pants and fur coat, he got changed into the suit. Once he was fully changed, he looked into the mirror and smiled. Even he had to admit, the suit installed a new sense of confidence in him and it made him wonder what Astrid would think. However, his train of thought was soon broken as he heard his sister downstairs, telling him to hurry up, so he put on his boot and metal leg and walked back downstairs. When his father and sister saw him, Caverna looked smug since she had seen that her handiork suited her ig brother well, and Stoick looked taken aback.

"Hiccup, you look different." Stoick commented.

"Everyone will love it...Do you like it?" Caverna asked him. "I made it plain, with a few pockets on the arms in order to allow you to add your own personal touches." She explained, suddenly worried that a plain flight suit wasn't the best thing that she could have made for him.

"Caverna, I love it." Hiccup smiled. "And because it's plain, I can add my own personal touches to it, it's wonderful." Hiccup told her, seeing her smiled widely. "Now, don't you have a present for dad?"

Cavern suddenly realised that Stoick still hadn't gotten his own present and she nodded, running into her room and she came back holding something behind her back. As she got closer, Stoick got to his feet and he turned around to see the hammer that Caverna had been crafting for months being held out to him. It was mainly made out of steel with a wooden handle, but there was a silver design on it that only Caverna could make. The mere sight of it almost brought Stoick to tears.

"It's beautiful." He whispered. "What did I ever do to deserve two children as talented as the pair of you?" He put the hammer into his fighting hand and then picked up the shield with the other. "How do I look?"

"Like a Viking chief." The teens told him, laughing at their accidental synchronisation.

As it grew dark, Hiccup and Caverna went down to the stable to where they found Snowcap and Toothless curled up together, since neither of them had left for the egg-laying seaso, with their babies flying the nest not so long ago.

"Hey you two." Caverna smiled, and she knelt down by Snowcap as Toothless walked over to his rider and inspected his new suit, whilst Snowcap inspected her rider's new fur hood.

"What do you think bud?" Hiccup asked. "Caverna made it for me." Hiccup told him, turning in a circle so that Toothless could see the entire suit.

When Toothless gave his nod of approval, Snowcap and Toothless swapped places, now inspecting the opposing sibling's new garments. Eventually the dragons had given their approval to both siblings; they let them mount their backs. When they were both settled in their saddles, the dragons trotted out of the stables. Seeing the dark sky, they wandered down towards the Great Hall, walking up the steps, the dragons allowed them both to dismount, before they all walked into the Great Hall. Opening the door, they were hit by the blast of laughter, music and chatter, to toasts and already drunk Vikings – their cousin being one of them.

"Caverna, Hiccup, over here!" Snotlout slurred, gesturing for his two cousins to join him.

Hiccup gestured to show that he would join them soon, before he walked over to his father, whilst Caverna walked straight over with Snowcap following and she smiled at those at the table, Ruff, Tuff Astrid and her cousin, before she looked around for Fishlegs.

"He said he had something to do for his parents, he'll be along soon." Astrid told her, almost immediately realising what or rather, who she was looking for.

Caverna simply nodded and she looked at Ruffnut as she handed her a mug of mead and they all knocked their glasses together, well Snotlout tried but at the present moment he couldn't even see the floor through his drunkenness, and wished everyone a happy Snoggletog.

The evening wore on and Caverna started to worry when there still wasn't any sign of Fishlegs, but she didn't have long to dwell upon it as Stoick's voice was suddenly raised to ear splitting level.

"Alright, quiet down!" He boomed, the whole hall going silent instantly and looking at the chief. "My son has something he would like to do." He told them, patting a very nervous looking Hiccup on the shoulder, before he pushed him forward.

Caverna could tell that Hiccup's nerves were just about to fail him as he made his way over to the table where she and their friends were sat, before he walked over to Astrid and stood in front of him. Caverna almost laughed at how oblivious Astrid looked, until Hiccup got down on one knee in front of her and then the oblivious was replaced with a huge smile.

"Astrid Hofferson, we've known each other our whole lives, and I've been in love with you for most of it. So because I love you that much, I think that it would be an honour if you would consider becoming my wife." Hiccup told her, his voice suddenly holding no nervousness and only clear love for Astrid as he looked up at her and held out an open ring box, the ring glinting in the firelight.

Astrid seemed to have frozen as she sat there, before she suddenly gave an answer which had most of the table jumping out of their skin. "Yes!" She screamed, suddenly throwing herself upon Hiccup, hugging him so tight he couldn't breathe. "Of course I'll marry you!"

Hiccup choked out a laugh and a smile, before Astrid sat up slightly and he slid the ring onto her finger, before they shared a loving and passionate kiss.

As their kiss grew in passion, Astrid pulled away and she helped Hiccup to stand before she almost dragged him from the Great Hall, leaving a few smiling and laughing Vikings in their wake, although no one laughed louder than Caverna and Ruffnut. When everyone finally calmed down, Ruffnut jumped up and dragged Caverna up to dance. It soon came to early in the morning and there was still no sign of Fishlegs, but by now, Caverna had stopped looking, in fact she was a little bit drunk...Okay seriously drunk and it was obvious. Snowcap lay down at the base of the table with Toothless, he had been watching her rider and se was worried, she hadn't seen hr rider drink so much. However, the only reason that she drank so much was because Snotlout had dared her to participate in a drinking challenge and so far, he had only drank around ten mugs of ale, whilst Caverna was on mug number fifteen and she was still standing tall. Snotlout had collapsed into a chair after mug number seven. It didn't take long until Snotlout passed out, mug number eleven ending up al down his front and onto the floor, whilst Caverna simply watched him, only swaying slightly, as Ruffnut and Tuffnut declared her champion. And then she ran from the Hall and was soon found by Snowcap, who had followed thinking that her rider had been wounded, vomiting into a bush. When her rider had finished vomiting, Snowcap put her onto her back so that she could lie down, and she carried her off back towards her house, getting her into her room and up to bed, where in her now half conscious state, she helped her rider to take off her clothes so that she was only in her panties and breast bands and she tucked her rider into bed, watching her quickly fall asleep. Caverna would have one hell of a headache in the morning and it was likely that she wouldn't be the only one.
