Caverna groaned as she sat up the next morning, and she was suddenly hit by blinding sunlight. Rubbing her eyes she got out of bed and caught sight of herself in the mirror – she looked a mess! It wasn't just a normal mess, but a terrible mess, her usually calm hair was standing up at odd angles like a lion's mane and her skin was pale and clammy. Her skin caused some confusion, she'd never felt better, well except for a sudden blinding headache, but she certainly didn't feel ill. Then she realised what she was wearing – her underclothes! Dashing around her room, she pulled on a clean shirt and leggings, before pulling on the pants to her flight suit and she managed to pull her tangled hair back into a braid, with the help of a good comb and strong leather band. When she reached the bottom of the stairs, she found Gobber and Stoick sat at the table and she pushed some bangs from her face and got herself some breakfast, before she joined them.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the one with the serious ability to drink?" Gobber asked her, trying to hide a smile.

"What?" Caverna asked.

"You and Snotlout had a drinkin' competition last night." Stoick informed her, though he sounded angry, his eyes betrayed his pride, it was about time someone other than Astrid beat his nephew at something.

"Oh...That I don't remember..." Caverna told them, eating tiny amounts of porridge as she looked around for two people in particular. "Where's, Hiccup and Astrid?"

As if on que, there were sounds of thudding coming from upstairs, and recognising the sound made all of them grimace.

"Well, Um..I'm...Uh...Going to go do chief things." Stoick told them, excusing himself from the table and then the hut, with Gobber following. Only Caverna was left and she finished her breakfast as quickly as possible, before she quickly went back to her room to get her jacket and then she too left the house.

Caverna wandered down the hill and into the village square, where she found her cousin and the twins, thankfully her cousin looked worse than she did.

"Morning." She mumbled, the twins looking at her with some new found respect.

"Good morning to you too champion!" Tuffnut shouted.

"Tuff, if you shout one more time, I will rip your head clean off." Caverna warned him, causing the twin to shut his mouth tightly, whatever else he was about to say now forgotten and Caverna sat down on the floor next to her cousin.

"You know cuz, you can certainly hold your ale." Snotlout told her, patting her on the shoulder.

Caverna simply gave him a weak smile, before she moved to lie back on the grass and close her eyes, Snotlout and the twins soon doing the same thing. They didn't know how long the group remained like that, until they heard quick yet heavy footsteps coming towards them. Opening her eyes, Caverna soon found out how much of a mistake that was since the sun was now directly overhead and she groaned shielding her eyes with her arms as best as she could.

"Caverna, there you are." The voice obviously came from Fishlegs who had stopped just in front of her feet and he was out of breath.

"Yep, here I am." She told him, sitting up and looking at him.

Fishlegs stopped for a second at seeing the unimpressed look on her face before he decided to start speaking.

"Do you uh...Wanna um...Go flying with me?" Fishlegs asked her, he mentally cursed his stutter, though internally he blamed her eyes, they were a rich hazel and just as beautiful as her face.

Caverna raised an eyebrow at him, before Ruffnut, Tuffnut and Snotlout started to laugh.

"Are you kidding Fish?" Snotlout asked. "Snowcap would run circles around Meatlug before Meatlug has even opened an eye."

At seeing how upset Fishlegs was, since he had obviously seen this as a good idea, and truthfully so had Caverna, she suddenly delivered a right hook to her cousin's face, smiling as he cried out in pain.

"What the hell Caverna?" Snotlout asked. "God she punches just like Astrid."

"Don't you ever make fun of him Snotlout, just because Fishlegs has more romance going through his head than you have ale in your gullet!" She warned him before she stood up and looked at Fishlegs. "Of course I'll go flying with you, just let me go back to the house and get Snowcap."

At Fishleg's nod, she grabbed his hand and half ran with him and half dragged him up to the chief's house and then round to the stables where Toothless and Snowcap were lounging with Lightning and Stormfly in the sun.

"Well, scratch that idea...Do you think Meatlug could carry us both?" Caverna asked, looking from the sleeping dragons to Fishlegs who by now had Meatlug beside him.

"What do you think girl, do you think you can carry Caverna and me together?" Fishlegs asked the Gronkle who simply looked at them and nodded. "There's your answer." Fishlegs told her as he got onto his dragons back before he offered his hand to Caverna and helped her up onto Meatlug's back behind him when she took it. Fishlegs blushed as he felt Caverna wrap her arms around his midriff from behind as he got Meatlug to fly off, away from Berk. Eventually they came to an island and Meatlug hovered around, as if she was looking for something, and this sparked Caverna's interest.

"What is se looking for?"

"She's looking for the spot I'm taking you to, now close your eyes." Fishlegs told her when Meatlug started moving again, only this time it was towards the ground.

Caverna was confused, but she had done as he asked and closed her eyes, not even opening them when she felt the soft jolt as Meatlug landing on the floor. As he dismounted, Fishlegs looked back at her and he smiled softy at seeing how happy she looked just sat there, her hands resting on the edge of the saddle, her eyes closed, her hair windswept against her face. She looked like a goddess.

"Okay, keep your eyes closed, I'll help you down." Fishlegs told her as he put his hands on her waist and helped her off of his dragon's back, onto the floor, and then moving to take a hand he led her forward a few steps.

When they came to a stop, only then did Caverna listened intently to what was around her to try and work out where they were. However, all she could hear was a few birds calling through the air, the sounds of Meatlug shuffling some rocks around, as well as the sound of a breeze.

"Okay, you can open your eyes now." Fishlegs whispered into her ear, making her shiver slightly and as she opened her eyes, she was shocked into silence.

Before her eyes, was the most beautiful scene that she had ever seen before. It turned out they had landed on the edge of a cliff, looking out of the edge of the cliff, they were met by green hills, clear blue sky, birds flying overhead and a waterfall just off in the distance. There was also a light breeze blowing past them, the ground was covered with grass and small rocks which had obviously been moved out of the way by Meatlug, and on the floor was a fur rug and plates of food.

"Oh Fishlegs, is this all for us?" She asked him, looking back at him.

Fishlegs nodded. "Yes, it's all for us." He told her with a blush and he took her hand, leading her over to the rug and he sat down with her. As she sat down, she picked up an apple and took a bite from it as Fishlegs handed her a mug and she looked at it, noticing that it wasn't their usual glass of mead.

"What's this, Fishlegs?"

"Something I got from Trader John the last time he was here, it's called Wine." Fishlegs told her. "Apparently foreign lands drink it with their meals instead of mead."

"Oh..." She looked at him as she raised the glass to her lips and she took a careful sip and she noticed him doing the same thing. "It actually doesn't taste that bad." She laughed.

"No, it doesn't." He laughed, taking another sip.

A few mugs of win and a few good bouts of laughter later, Caverna and Fishlegs were still sat on the cliff, well, Fishlegs was sat, and Caverna was lying down on the rug, her head in her boyfriend's lap.

"What was all of this for Fishlegs?" She asked, looking up at him.

Fishlegs looked down at her a he stroked her hair. "Because...I...Um...Well I had two reasons for doing this, really..."

"Then what was your first reason?" She asked him.

"Because I wasn't at the Snoggletog festival last night and I wanted to make it up to you." He told her, soon going shy.

"Okay, well I forgive you for that, so what was your second reason?" She asked him.

"And because I...um...wanted to show you that I love you, through a romantic notion." He told her, his cheeks bright red in embarrassment.

She looked up at him and smiled softly. "Awe Fishlegs, you did wonderfully, don't look so nervous." She smiled moving to sit up and she pressed a kiss to his cheek, though he moved and it ended up with their lips meeting. At the feel of her lips, Fishlegs moved a hand into her hair, pulling her closer as his other hand found her waist. At feeling him pull at her waist, Caverna slid her arms around his neck and she pressed herself against him, her eyes closing in content at their kiss.

Meanwhile, back on Berk, Astrid and Hiccup had finally left the Haddock household, despite it being the middle of the day by now, and they soon found Snowcap, Toothless, Lightning and Stormfly outside.

"Hey guys." Hiccup smiled, stroking Toothless and Snowcap as Astrid done the same t the two Deadly Nadders.

As Hiccup and Astrid mounted their dragons, Lightning and Snowcap got up, both of them looking around for Caverna almost expecting her to be there.

"Sorry guys, we don't know where my sister is." Hiccup told him. "But she can't have gone far, come on, let's find her and the guys." He got Toothless into the air with Snowcap following closely on one side and Astrid on the other side as she rode Stormfly, and Lightning beside her. It didn't take them long to find Snotlout and the twins, but both of them were surprised when they didn't see Caverna or Fishlegs with them.

"Hey guys, where's Caverna, or Fishlegs?" Astrid asked them, however Snotlout and the twins simply shrugged.

"No idea, Caverna was with us this morning, but then Fishlegs found us an told her that he had a surprise for her and then they left." Snotlout explained.

"That's weird; she would have taken Snowcap or Lightning with her anyway." Hiccup pondered.

At hearing that no one knew where her mistress was, Snowcap gave off a soft whine of both worry and sadness, causing everyone to look at her and for the dragons to nuzzle her, aiming to sooth but not helping much.

"She'll be alright Snowcap." Astrid assured getting off of Stormfly's back and walking to kneel alongside the smaller Night Fury, stroking her scales. "She's safe with Fishlegs and Meatlug remember?"

Snowcap looked at the blonde Viking beside her before she nodded her head trying more to tell herself the same thing but it obviously wasn't making her feel any better, she just wished that she knew where her mistress was so that she knew that she was 100% safe.

However, back on the cliff edge, things had heated up between Fishlegs and Caverna, with Caverna pressed against the rug with Fishlegs looming over her, his knees either side of her waist. One hand beside her head and the other moving through her hair, as one of her hands held his shoulder and the other was almost stuck in his hair. Their lips were fused together and neither of them opened their eyes, which proved to certainly be making Fishlegs more and more bold with his movements as he moved the hand that was in her hair down her body then moving to her jacket and he undone it, before he moved a hand into her shirt. However, at feeling his touch on her skin, Caverna suddenly tensed up and she pushed him away, causing him to look at her sheepishly.

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry." Fishlegs told her weakly, his breathing laboured due to the intense kiss.

"No...It's alright...It wasn't you." She told him, standing up and fixing her clothing and her hair. "Come on, let's pack all of this up so that we can go home."

Fishlegs simply nodded, but he remained sat there as Caverna started to tidy up and only when she was only needing to pick up the fur throw did he finally get up and help, putting the rug into his saddlebag for her. Without questioning him, she watched him get onto Meatlug's back and she soon joined him, sitting behind him and she slid her arms around him as he got Meatlug to fly them home.
