First-mission jitters

Jamie was still lying in bed early morning when Ellie barged unannounced and dragged him out of bed. "What the hell are you doing!" He yelled still half-asleep, everything came out as a mumble and Ellie finally spoke "two things. One: James or as he wants us to call him Mr Adams; asked me to wake you up, number 2: I've decided on what your going to do for me"

"Do what?" Jamie began to clear his eyes of crust and Ellie grinned.

"It's Saturday, your mission starts in half an hour..." now... Jamie had started to worry ".and when you come back, your treating me and Kate to a day in town" Jamie blinked. And then blinked again "huh... So your telling me your using your 'Jamie will do what you say' time to force me to hangout in town... When I would have done that willingly?" Ellie smirked and Jamie gulped, not good.

"Yeah, but your paying for everything"

"Shit..."

Half an hour later Jamie was siting in the back of one of many Cars owned by CHERUB on his way to his first mission. His nerves were in shatters, though all he had to do was go in like a normal person, with a bag full of weights made to look like a bomb, basically , it was a fake terrorism and he had to test a Train-Station's security. Jamie sighed. "Isn't this a little overkill? Sending trained agents?" James replied saying stuff like a terrorist would be trained and that kind of crap. They finally made it and Jamie quickly jumped out. He was wearing a hoodie along with jogging bottoms but truth was he had jeans underneath and the clothing he wore on-top had been from the CHERUB on-site recycling plant which he planned on ditching.

Walking through and buying his ticket Jamie jumped on board a single train and proceeded to place his 'bomb' safely with other luggage, keeping an eye out for security, well, in truth he'd. Made sure to be in view of the guards, just like the brief told him to. He even specifically made himself look suspicious by messing about in his bag whilst occasionally glancing at the guards,they'd finally noticed him. the train wasn't scheduled to leave yet so he slipped into the toilets and striped off the outer layer of his outfit. Hiding the jogging bottoms behind the seat and pulling his jacket off, it was a simple crimson red zip-up jacket which he tied around his waist. 'Your really trying to avoid fighting huh' Jamie sighed in response to Ghost, he knew as well as Jamie that fighting isn't recommended as the scene it could cause would be disastrous.

When he left the small cubicle and exited the toilets Jamie looked around, no guards had approached him meaning they didn't think he was the same guy messing with his bag, however, when he left then train one of the guards had noticed him anyway. "Where are you going son?" Jamie blinked and an idea came to him. " Yo no hablo Inglés" he said, hopefully I do not speak English in Spanish and begun repeating whenever the man tried to say something. "Don't you speak english?" Jamie shook his head. Hopefully the man didn't know Spanish but if he did things would get complicated.

"well..." The guard sighed trying to decide what to do and Jamie took this as a chance to escape, dodging bellow the man's arms and running past. A few more guards showed up, possibly seeing the commotion and came to backup their comrade. "Shit..." Jamie muttered under his breath and snapped his fingers together. "Your turn" he sighed as Ghost slipped in. "Here we go!" Ghost yelled, surprising the guards and causing Jamie a mental face-palm 'the guard thought we only spoke Spanish... If we got caught we could've made something up to get out of it... But now... Things are gonna be a little complicated ' Ghost however didn't care, he'd been itching for a fight and since he held back the other day when fighting Ellie- which he regretted tremendously he was ready to get some anger out of his system.

He dashed at the closest guard and punched the large man in the gut, winding him and swiftly moving on to the next one he performed a round house kick to the guard's Temple. Finally a path had opened between the guards and there was no way in hell he'd let it go even if it meant longer fighting considering he'd most definitely fail the mission.

A guard came chasing after his and Ghost snapped his fingers, Jamie had slipped back in; out of the two Jamie was miles better at escaping. Jamie was about to run through the main gage when just at the last moment he skidded to the right and ran towards one of the fences that covered the areas of track that ran by the large car park. Glancing behind for merely a moment Jamie saw two of the guards falling his trail of dust and grinned. Once he was at a pretty close distance Jamie jumped. Grasping at the metal fence and pulling himself over, he ran out of the car park avoiding all the cars he could and once no more guards were on his trail Jamie pulled out his phone, calling James to pick him up.

Ten minutes later Jamie was once again sitting in the back of the CHERUB car on his way home. "Jesus Jamie, was all that really necessary?" Jamie was looking out the window at the time and casually replied "I got the mission done didn't I?"

James sighed "you may have gotten the mission done but the way you did it is what matters, you should have just let yourself get caught" Jamie rolled his eyes, he popped one of his small pills into his mouth, he didn't really need them anymore as originally Jamie had shown himself entering an emotionless state simply because Ghost had been asleep or as he put it 'recovering' even though Jamie hadn't the slightest clue what from. But that's beside the point, with

Ghost now awake his emotionless-side had disappeared, well, for now at least.

"Yeah well, getting caught didn't sound very fun and anyway... Ghost was itching for a fight" Jamie shrugged and James sighed.

"You know, your lucky that the Colonel specifically asked for you..." Jamie heard James mutter. "Wait what?" Jamie asked quickly causing the young mission controller swear under his breath."nothing just forget you ever heard that, alright?"

"Well no, obviously I'm not gonna forget it, what did you mean?"

"Look, Colonel Ford wants you for a mission along with a couple other more experienced agents" Jamie grinned, this has to be big he thought and James noticed and could probably tell what he was thinking. "Look, don't spread this around until your given the brief and even then, don't tell anyone about it, alright?" Jamie nodded and the remaining ride back to CHERUB campus had been a silent one.

"Jamie!" A friendly voice echoed down the campus corridor, Jamie had just gotten back everyone was having lunch. "How'd the mission go?" Jamie turned to face Jake. "It went ok... Just may have done terribly due to knocking a few guards out" the young Agent rolled his eyes and the two boys made their way down the corridor towards the cafeteria. "So, you and Ellie have made up yet in the process became her slave" Jamie groaned, he knew his measly pocket money would not cover what those two girls had in mind, heck, It barely covered what Jamie wanted.

"So, what do you have to do?" Jamie began to fill his best-friend in on all the details which resulted in him laughing his ass off, Jamie was surprised he didn't know already.

Eventually the two boys were sitting down with their lunch and all their friends.

"So Jamie" Mike began "Ellie's been telling us how she beat the crap out of you" Jamie sighed in response and everyone burst out laughing. "Does everyone know?" Alex and Mike nodded whilst Ellie started acting all innocent.

"Fuck you Ellie, just, Fuck you" Jamie said trying his best to hold back a grin, it didn't really matter to him whether the whole campus knew, heck, it probably be a bigger surprise if he'd won a match rather than lost. CHERUB Girls have an uncanny Habit of being better at guys when it comes to pretty much everything other than brute force, or at least, they do in Jamie's opinion.

"So, when we going into town?" Jamie asked Ellie.

"Hmm... How about in an hour? make sure to get your wallet ready" Jamie nodded. On the outside bit on the inside... 'We're gonna be broke after this huh' Ghost sighed whilst Jamie inwardly groaned.
