It had been hours since Caverna, Stoick and Gobber had split from the teens in order to find Hiccup, and they seemed to be flying endlessly.

"Caverna, break off, you and Snowcap search the right, Gobber, you and Grump search the left, I'll keep flying straight, meet up again in three minutes." Stoick ordered.

"Aye Chief." Gobber told him, whilst Caverna simply nodded, though it wasn't like Stoick could hear her since she was wearing her full mask to protect as much of her body from the cold as possible. So without a word, Caverna and Snowcap flew off into the direction that the chief had given them. As they flew, Caverna pulled the bottom of her mask down, she moved to stand up, her feet still in the stirrups of her saddle and she looked around, cupping her hands over her mouth.

"Hiccup!" She shouted. "Hiccup, where are you?" She kept shouting, along with whistles that she used with Toothless.

This continued for a few minutes, before she gave up, sitting back in the saddle, as Snowcap turned her head back to her and growled low in her throat, causing Caverna to pet her.

"It's okay girl, we'll find them." She told her dragon, before she watched Snowcap as she started to jerk her head to the sides, sniffing the air. "What is it Snow?"

Suddenly Snowcap shot forward and down towards a pool of water that was just visible in the ice. In this water, there was a small object floating in it, as Snowcap flew close, Caverna grabbed it and she gasped, recognising what it was – Hiccup's helmet! In her haste, she put a hand in her saddle bags and she pulled out her horn as Snowcap flew back to the sky, she blew on it and when she was able to hover, Snowcap let out some plasma blasts.

Meanwhile, Gobber had flown back to his chief, and they were flying around looking for Hiccup and now Caverna together.

"Boar-headed, just like his mother." Stoick was telling Gobber as they flew through the blistering cold snow. "Aye, she could never stay put either."

"Aye, he's just twenty, and a Viking!" Gobber exclaimed. "I mean, could there be a worst combination? I remember when you were that stubborn and senseless...Oh...Well nothing has changed really."

Stoick sighed. "You know what he is like, he won't give-" Stoick cut off as he heard the horn. "It's Caverna, maybe she's found him." He urged Skullcrusher on and they soon came across the Night Fury and his daughter. "Caverna, have you found him." He took one look into his daughter's eyes and saw worry. "What's the matter?"

As he spoke, Caverna held out Hiccup's helmet. "Snowcap found it in the water." She nodded to the broken ice below them.

Stoick stared at the helmet before he gave it to Skullcrusher. "Find them Skullcrusher, find them."

With a roar, Skullcrusher flew off in what seemed to be a random direction, and Caverna and Gobber had both of their dragons follow the chief and Skullcrusher, hoping that they would find Hiccup and soon.

However, Hiccup was having something bigger to deal with. The reason why he had lost his helmet in the first place was because of a person who rode the back of a four-winged dragon and with a swarm of dragons, had snatched him from on top of Toothless' back and flew off with him, taking him to their nest. Right now, Hiccup was being led through tunnels in the nest by the mystery person, who had suddenly told him that she was actually his mother!

"You can't just say that and run off." Hiccup told her as he tried to follow her, though he got a lot of help from Toothless who plodded along behind him.

"Hurry, hurry." The woman told him, still climbing with ease through the tunnel, over rocks and under wedges.

Eventually Hiccup was out of the tunnels and he came into an area filled with dragons flying around, he looked around in awe, before he looked up and found the woman that he had been following nestled into the wings of her four-winged dragon.

"This is where you've been for twenty years?" He asked her, tough he all received was a smiling nod. "You've been rescuing them." He accused.

"Do you like it?" She asked him, her voice soft yet tinged with the slight worry that he would think that she had wasted her efforts and left him for no reason.

"It's unbelievable." Hiccup whispered.

"You're not upset?" The woman asked in relief.

"No...Well...Uh...I don't know...It's a lot to take in to be frank." Hiccup told her, and he really looked like he was struggling to work out what was going on. "It's not every day you find out that your mother is a crazy feral dragon lady." He told her.

This caused the crazy feral dragon lady to laugh. "Well, at least I'm not boring." She told him as her dragon put her back onto the ground.

"I guess there is that." Hiccup told her as his attention was stolen by a dragon who wanted his attention, and he gladly gave it, stroking the dragon's snout happily, causing the woman to smile more.

Hiccup suddenly turned around and he saw that Toothless has become surrounded by some other dragons, and as his dragon cowered that came closer and closer, until they got too close and Toothless snapped at them. The snap caused both Hiccup to laugh and his mother to look at the Night Fury in awe.

"May I?" She asked, gesturing to Toothless, and when Hiccup nodded, she got down low to the floor and walked over to the Night Fur, keeping low, holding a hand out for Toothless to sniff. When Toothless didn't attack her, she knelt down in front of him. "Oh he's beautiful."

At the compliment, Toothless nuzzled against this strange woman, who he had identified as being the mother to his Hiccup.

"Incredible." The woman laughed as Toothless brushed against her. "He may very well be the last of his kind." She told Hiccup as Toothless wrapped himself around the woman.

"Actually...Um...He isn't the only one." Hiccup told her.

"Have you found more?" She asked, looking at him in surprise.

"Well, I didn't...My um...sister did." Hiccup told her, rubbing the back of his neck in awkwardness.

"Your si-" She stopped at hearing what he had said. "Caverna...She's alive?"

Hiccup nodded. "You should see her, she's amazing." Hiccup told her.

The woman nodded, looking relieved to hear that her daughter was also alive, before she looked back at Toothless. "How did you ever manage to get him?"

"I found him in the woods; he was shot down...wounded..." Hiccup told her, trying to hide his guilt.

At hearing that Toothless had been injured, the woman stood up and she walked to a dragon that was sat next to Toothless, gently stroking its bottom jaw. "This Snafflefang lost its leg to one of Drago's iron traps." She walked to another dragon who sat with them. "This Raincutter had its wing sliced by razor netting." She told him, using her staff to raise the dragon's wing off of the floor, before she walked over to a third dragon who's eyes were a pale milky white. "This poor Hobblegrump was blinded by a tree snare, before he was left alone to die." She told him as she waited for the dragon to deem her safe and walk up to her. Hiccup watched the dragon's in sadness, before he noticed that his mother was now looking at the tail fin that he had made for Toothless.

"And what of this?" She asked, leaning down to Toothless' tail. "Did Dragon d his trappers do this too?"

"Oh...Uh...Well you see, I'm the one who shot him down." Hiccup told her, trying to ignore the look of horror on his mother's face. "But it's okay though, he got me back." He told her. "Didn't you bud; you couldn't save all of me could you." Hiccup asked his dragon as he scratched him. "You had to make it even, huh? So peg leg!" Hiccup told his mother as he held up his footless leg.

This soothed his mother for a while, before she brought him over towards the edge of the ledge that they were occupying and Hiccup saw the biggest dragon that he had ever seen.

"This is the Great Bewilderbeast." His mother told him. "One of the very few Alpha Species left." She looked at the bewildered look on Hiccup's face. "Every nest has it's queen Hiccup, but this is the King of all dragons. His icy breathe is what built our nest, a safe haven for all dragons. We all live under his care and his command, all except the babies who listen to no one."

Hiccup watched as his mother and dragons bowed as the dragon lifted his head and stared at them, before he suddenly felt a cold breath on his face and soon found ice in his hair and eyebrows.

"He likes you." His mother told him as she stood. "You must be hungry."

"Um, yeah I could eat." Hiccup told her.

"Good, it's feeding time." She told him as she led him away.

Meanwhile, the rest of the teens had landed on a floating iceberg not far from where they had separated from Stoick, Gobber and Caverna and Astrid and Fishlegs were getting worried.

"I don't like it; they should be back with Hiccup by now." Astrid told them.

"I don't like it either." Ruffnut told her. "Eret, Son of Eret was the man of my dreams, my everything." She cried out.

"But baby, I grew facial hair for you." Snotlout told her, looking hurt as he touched his facial hair.

"What if Drago shot them own or something?" Astrid asked them.

"Um Astrid, not to seem rude, but I don't want to hear the possibilities of my girlfriend being captured by a mad man." Fishlegs told her. "Look, they'll be back soon, we just have to wait."

"But what if he has, and they need our help?" Astrid asked him as she climbed onto Stormfly's back. "We have to find them." She told them as she steeled herself for takeoff.

"But Stoick said-" Fishlegs started.

"It doesn't matter what he said if they've all been captured." Astrid told him. "Come on! She called back as she and Stormfly both took off flying.

The other teens sighed, before they all mounted their dragons and followed her, Stoick really wasn't going to like this when he find out.
