"Snowcap!" Toothless cried as he saw his mate and his rider fall into the mass of ice and rock below and he raced to the edge but he couldn't see anything.

"Caverna..." Hiccup whispered, staring at the space in which his sister had been beforehand, before he felt a hand on his shoulder and found Stoick there, he was also staring at the same spot. "She's gone..." He whispered.

"I know son..." Stoick whispered.

"No more talking dad, we need to get rid of Drago." Hiccup told him.

"Val, what's the plan?" Stoick asked.

"We do this together, as a family." Valka told him as she ran back inside to get ready and Hiccup and Stoick followed. "We need to avenge her."

"We will." Stoick promised helping Valka onto the back o her dragon before he and Hiccup climbed onto their dragons.

Hiccup looked down at a now very sad Toothless and he rubbed his head. "It's alright bud; we'll make them pay for harming them."

Toothless gave him a growl in agreement, before he flew off after Hiccup's parents, by the time that they got into the sky and found that the battle had already begun. Hiccup took a second to take in the scene before him and the first he saw was Astrid.

Astrid hadn't seen Hiccup yet since she was in the mindset of battle, and she was trying to not fall from her dragons back as Eret had taken up the whole saddle.

"Stormfly, spine shot!" Astrid shouted, and as the words left her lips and she was about to be hit, a plasma blast suddenly blew away the people who were aiming for her.

"Where have you been?" Astrid asked her saviour, flying close to her husband.

"Catching up with mom." He nodded to where they could see Valka and she was bringing the Alpha out of the ice fortress.

Astrid looked up at the figure in surprise. "That's your mother?" She screamed over the noise, before something hit her as she looked around. "Where's Caverna?"

Hiccup looked at Toothless as he whined. "She's gone, when he shot the cliff edge, she was on it, she and Snowcap fell."

Astrid reached a hand out to him and Hiccup done the same to her. "I'm so sorry Hic."

Hiccup gently squeezed her hand before they were suddenly pushed apart by a weapon coming towards them. "I will come and find you when this is over."

"Not if I find you first." Astrid shouted after him as he flew off in another direction to her in order to help some dragons who had gotten caught in Drago's traps.

Meanwhile, under a pile of ice, Caverna and Snowcap were well buried, though Caverna had the weight of both the ice and her dragon on top of her. Yet the crushing feeing that she had didn't scare her, instead she focused on the low heartbeat of her dragon and she closed her eyes.

"Snowcap, it's okay." Caverna managed to get out, resting a hand on her dragon that was pressed above her. "Just rest." She whispered.

Snowcap gave her a grumble, before she suddenly blasted the ice off of them and Snowcap stood up, shaking her whole body to get warmth back and to shake off any other ice and snow that had stayed on her, before she looked back at her rider. Caverna didn't get up when she felt the weight of Snowcap and the ice lift, instead she remained lying there and in truth she was in agony. At hearing the worry filled mewls of her dragon, she turned her head, just in time for Snowcap to take her arm in her gums and almost throw her onto her back and into her saddle. When she was on the saddle, Caverna forced herself to sit up properly and she took hold o the leather straps that were the reigns that she held to fly with her dragon and she looked down at her dragon.

"Thank you." Caverna whispered to her, before she suddenly popped some of her own bones back into place, the pain that accompanied it not bothering her. "Now let's help our people." She told her as she pulled her hood and mask on, before Snowcap shot off towards the battling dragons.

As she flew, she watched as a large man with a stick that she remembered quite clearly as Drago Bloodvist, started hollering and waving around a stick, before suddenly a giant white dragon rose from the sky, it was another Alpha. She watched in amazement and shock as this Alpha started an attack on the resident Alpha and she soon saw her mother getting out of the way on her dragon's back. But whilst Valka didn't see it, Caverna did, there was a net flying straight towards her mother and her dragon, Caverna shouted for her to look out, but she didn't hear until it was too late and the net collapsed around her, forcing her dragon to the ground and for her mother to be unseated. Valka watched in horror as Drago stood before her telling his alpha to attack, and suddenly anger over took her.

"No you-" The words were suddenly knocked out of her as Drago suddenly hit her across the face, sending her across the ground on her back.

Caverna was able to see all of this and she suddenly quickly dug her heel into Snowcap's side. "Come on Snow, we have to help her."

As Snowcap hot off, Caverna made sure that she had a clear path by using her swords to get rid of as much of the obstructions as possible.

Meanwhile, Valka was crawling backwards trying to get away from the man, before he suddenly pinned her to the floor by standing on her chest and as she tried to remove his foot, he removed her helmet, laughing as he readied his spear. Valka expected the end, but she didn't expect a blur of black to go past her and take Drago with her. In shock, she quickly stood up and found a figure all dressed in black standing before her, swords drawn and a night fury above her, keeping herself in the air, ready to strike as Drago brought himself to his feet.

"Don't you dare touch her!" The voice told him, as the person put one sword back in its holster and removed their hood and mask, shaking her hair out to reveal that Caverna was the one to come to her mother's aid.

"Caverna..." Valka whispered. "How can this be?"

"Can I explain this later; someone needs to stop the Alpha." Caverna told her looking back at her.

Valka nodded and she freed Cloudjumper, before she got onto his back and they shot off into the air, though not before Valka heard Drago's words to her daughter.

"I remember you when you were a little girl, you had spirit." Drago told her as he circled her.

Whenever he got close, Snowcap growled at him, but Caverna looked up at her dragon. "Go and be safe, I'll find you when this is over." She watched Snowcap fly away, just as the man started to speak, again.

"For the Leather Warrior, it is over." The man smirked, before he suddenly let out a battle cry and he ran at her, but as he was about to hit her, Caverna suddenly had a sword up, blocking him and before he could blink, her other sword slashed his armour. It didn't create much damage, but she did cut him and at that moment, that was enough for her.

"Ten years changes a lot of things Drago." Caverna told him, holding one sword to her side and pointing the other at him.

"I'm sure it does." He sneered. "Stoick the Vast's daughter, unable to have a family, unable to be a woman, so settles for looking like a man instead." He went to hit her again, but this time she blocked him and just caught his face with her swords.

This was how their fight carried on, each time one of them went to strike the other would hit them off, and Caverna showed just how agile she was, against the older man. Soon the fight was brought to the attention of Stoick and he saw Snotlout flying towards him.

"Snotlout, get my daughter out of there!" He shouted over, though he sounded shocked as he watched his daughter, after all only moments ago, he thought that she was dead.

"Yes, Sir!" Snotlout shouted back and he had Hookfang fly towards his cousin. "Caverna, jump!"

Caverna looked up and she nodded before she suddenly dug her swords into the ground and she used them to do a handstand before she changed the positioning of her wrists and she suddenly kicked Drago in the head. Leaving him on the floor, she put her swords back into their holsters and jumped onto a rock, jumping up and smiling as Snotlout caught her.

"Thanks Snotlout." She told him, hugging him briefly from behind, and together they rode on Hookfang's back, shooting down their enemies. Before she saw a sight that she knew that she never wanted to see – Hiccup was standing opposite Drago! That wasn't what scared her though, what scared her was that the Bewilderbeast was closing in on Hiccup and Drago.

"Snotlout, put me on the ground, I can still help." Caverna told her cousin.

"Alright, just be careful." He told her as Hookfang flew low and he watched her land on th ground.

"I will, have you got my back?" Caverna asked.

"I have." Snotlout smiled and he flew Hookfang overhead as his cousin ran towards the cliff and he fired at anyone that would be what he saw as too much for her to take down.

Suddenly she heard a loud voice call for her brother and she saw her father and mother running towards the cliff, so on instinct she did too, she was faster than her mother – much faster –so she overtook her quite easily. Yet as she got to where her brother once stood on the cliff, she was blinded by a sudden blast. And when her eyes adjusted the sight before her made her wish the blindness was never ending.
