"Alright. What did you two think?" I asked, sitting down by the crate. Jonathan was writing something down and Edward was thinking.

"Well now I know where a large chunk of my recent notes went," Jonathan said, scowling. "They disappeared yesterday without a trace."

"I'm curious about whether Poison Ivy is in on this," Edward said, nonchalantly twirling his cane. "She knows more about poison than any of us."

"Poison plants. And she wouldn't let them use any of them," Jonathan said. "I'm fairly certain that she was just visiting Harley."

"So… does anything add up?"

"Joker needed my notes. Specifically mine," Jonathan said. "So I'm going to go ask for them back. I need them as well."

"Wait! I thought you didn't want him to know that we were on his trail" I said.

Jonathan sighed and closed his eyes. "You're right, child." He scowled and clenched his fists. "I can make new notes."

"We didn't find out much from this, other than about your personal problems," Edward said, smirking at me.

"You be quiet. We're all insane here," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Did you see anything?" Jonathan asked.

"Not really. Their warehouse does seem to have several little rooms though, and the catwalks above me were shrouded."

"So… pretty much anything could be hiding there. We didn't find out much.'

"I'll go back later, if that would help," I offered, smiling. "Harley seems to trust me, and I might catch the joker in person next time."

"That might be helpful. Harley already did propose it at the end," jonathan said, thinking.

"Oh… one more thing. Sable and I saw The Bat last night when we left," edward said, nonchalantly pulling out his rubix cube again.

"Wait… what?" Jonathan said, suddenly sounding agitated. "Batman was here?"

"Yes. And that means one of three things. He came here on a whim, had a lead on you, or had a lead on Joker."

"It's probably the last, since that is who they're looking for," I said, trying to help.

"Yes… but that also means that we have to keep the police off of our tail," Jonathan said. He sat there for a moment with his eyes closed, deep in thought. "I have another job for you, Sable," He said, his words slower and more calculated than usual.

"Seriously? I have two real jobs and siblings, you know?" I said, rolling my eyes. "I can't just run errands for you guys all the time."

"It won't take long. We just need you to plant a false lead on The Joker. Something that'll lead them there, but not too soon…"

"I think I know what to do," I said quietly, thinking. "Yeah. I have a plan."

My plan's original design didn't pass Edward's test. He found a way to easily compromise it every time. After some input from Jonathan and Edward, we finally came to an agreement, albeit a simple one.

I would direct the police to a currently abandoned warehouse, claiming it to be where I was held by Harley Quinn. Edward would have by then put subtle hints at the use of a poison, hopefully turning their attention fully on The Joker.

"What happens if they accidentally come upon this warehouse while searching? I mean, it is going to be your notes they find," I said to Jonathan , thinking it through.

"You'll need to keep them away from here," He said, shrugging. "And if I get put in Arkham, I can investigate my stash of notes there to see if anything else was stolen. It isn't all that hard to escape."

"Okay then. I guess that I'll go tomorrow. I don't have to teach till Tuesday.'

"Then I'll go plant clues tonight," Edward said, smiling. "After all, that sort if thing is my specialty."

"Hello?" I asked, walking into the police department early the next morning. A young man at the desk looked up at me, his eyebrows cocked.

"Do you need something ma'am?"

"I need to speak with Commissioner Gordon, if that is possible," I said, twiddling my thumbs nervously."

"He should be in his office. Just down that hallway," The young man replied, pointing down a hallway.

"Thank you," I said, nodding politely.

When I reached the door, I could see a silhouette behind the frosted glass. I knocked on the door, biting my lip.

"Come in," He said. I inhaled and opened the door.

Commissioner Gordon sat at his desk, writing furiously on a piece of notebook paper.

"Excuse me," I said, sitting down across from him. He looked up and nodded. "I was involved in a case recently… The joker breaking out."

"The hostage?" He asked. "Yeah, I remember," he said, continuing to write.

"Well, I have a lead on where the Joker might be now." I said briskly. He stopped writing and looked up at me.

"What do you mean?"

"I know where Harley Quinn was staying in the events leading up to the breakout. I figured that it might be useful to investigate the area. There might be a clue to where they are now."

"Why didn't you bring it up earlier?" He asked, putting his pen down on the table and folded his arms.

"I… I was too scared," I lied. hiding my face.

"Well thank you. This could be what we're looking for. Frankly, we were grasping at threads before. We know he's out there, but he's been unusually quiet," He said. "I'll send you out with some men right now to scout the area and have a more thorough investigation later today."

"I'm… going?" I asked, suddenly confused. I was expecting for him to simply have me point out the warehouse on a map.

"You most likely know a bit more than my men, and could help them," he said. He reached for a radio. "Bullock? Yeah, I need you to get a team together. We got a lead on The Joker."
