"Hey! Are you here, Harley?" I called into the warehouse, clutching the water bottle tightly. The recorder was on and I was ready to take on anything.

"I'm afraid not," A familiar voice said.

"Hi Rick," I said, smiling at him. "What brings you here."

"Work. I'm supposed to guard the warehouse while The Joker and Harley Quinn are out. Why are you here?"

"I just came to visit Harley again. I don't really have anything better to do,"

"You could read a book, watch a movie.. There are plenty other things that you could do," He said, shaking his head.

"Eh.. I didn't feel like doing that," I said, shrugging. "So… you're leaving in January? What do you plan to do until then?"

"I have plans," He said vaguely. He was a lot less conversational than usual.

"Okay…" I sighed. How was I supposed to get in if he was going to be so closed off? I just had to get him excited and open…

"A while back, you asked me to read your script. Is that offer still open?" I asked, smiling when he lit up.

"Well, that'd be pretty hard now… it's over in LA. I could email you a digital copy though!"

"I don't think that's necessary, unless you want to," I said. "Could you tell me about it, though? I've heard up to the part in the forest of eternity."

"Yeah! Totally. Here, come on inside and sit down." He walked inside, still chattering on. "You know, people usually don't want to hear about my script. I'm really happy that there is one person in this world who does."

"It got accepted to air, so it must be good," I pointed out, laughing. "Plus, I've liked what I've heard."

Rick talked for a good while, his entire face lit up. He was always happiest when he talked about his script.

I can't say I was paying as much attention as I should have. I was more interested in locating the side room with the poison inside. I knew it wasn't the room closest to where were sitting, so it had to be one of the other two.

I was pretty sure it was the furthest door, but there was no way to be certain.

"...so the group is in Wildmount, trying to get the information out of the Zubrans there, when Stefaris accidentally casts a spell over the town making everyone mute until an antidote can be found." Rick was still speaking, but was also watching me like a hawk. Catwoman's break-in had really upped the security.

So how was I supposed to get into that room?

I could try to change the conversation to one that would allow us to move closer and then I could sneak in and be done with it.

But Rick would notice me sneaking in.

I could just make a break for it and hope for the best.

But that was risky. Very risky.

I could simply ask to use the restroom and go there instead.

That seemed like the best idea.

"Hey, Rick? Sorry to interrupt, but I'd really like to use the restroom. Could you excuse me for a moment?" I asked, smiling at him. He nodded.

"Here, let me show you where it is," He got up and led me past the door that I wanted to be in and to a little room that had been hiding in the corner.

I smiled and thanked him, heading into the room.

Okay, you've got five minutes, tops. I thought, looking around the tiny room. I sighed, and clenched my fists in frustration, trying to think of a way to get into the other room.

Look at the ceiling.

Oh. You, I answered. Are you being helpful for once or something? I sighed when the voice was silent. I looked up, and smiled.

There was a vent. It was small, but if I climbed up on the sink, I could likely climb inside. I just had to be fast.

I clipped the water bottle to my belt loop and climbed up. The vent was screwed to the ceiling tightly. I started clawing at the vent, trying to pry it off.

Unscrew it with a coin. The voice said.

I didn't even answer it. I just fished around in my pocket till I found a dime. I set it into the slot and turned it, smiling slightly when the screw loosened and eventually fell out.

When all four screw sat in the sink and the vent finally came loose, I reached up into the metal, searching for a handhold.

"You alright, Sable?" I heard Rick say from outside.

"Oh, I'm fine. I'll be out in a minute," I said, my heart skipping a beat. I was running out of time.

I found a ledge and was able to hoist myself up into the vent. It was a tight fit, but I was able to do it, luckily.

Crawl to the left. My voice said. I trusted it now. It hadn't been as annoying as usual today and seemed to actually know what it was doing, for once.

Harley always told me that the voice was part of my subconscious, so why did it know things that I didn't? I'd have to look that up later.

To the left of the vent, I could see light coming up again, likely another vent. Perhaps one that I could escape from.

I shuffled down here, trying to keep quiet.

"Sable?" I heard Rick call from the other room.

"Crap," I whispered, trying to hurry. Time's up.

I got to the vent and sighed. How am I supposed to get this one off. The screws are on the other side! I sighed, frustrated. I looked it over, looking for any weaknesses.

Just kick it. Hard.

I did. The vent fell off and onto the desk with a clang. I could hear Rick exclaim and start forcing the bathroom door open.

"Sable! Is everything okay?" He asked. I heard the door slam open as I dropped onto the desk myself. I turned towards the three vats.

Which is the poison? I thought hurriedly, unclipping my water bottle from my belt loop.

The left, according to Catwoman.

I dashed forward, ready to pour when the door opened and someone tackled me.

I sputtered, soaking wet on the floor as my attacker got up and growled at me.

"You traitor," Rick said.
