I awoke the next morning to a loud pounding at my door. "Go away!" I mumbled before nuzzling back into my pillow.

"Claire! I told you to be up and ready by nine! It is now 9:30!" A loud Scottish accent hollered.

A small smirk tugged at my lips. "Well, I was smart enough to lock the door. I'll come out in an hour! I need sleep." I called back.

"Oh no you don't! You're getting up right now whether you like it or not!" Her knocking and shouts stopped, giving me peace and quiet once again.

A soft sigh escaped my lips as I slowly started to drift into a peaceful slumber that is until the new noise.

"Amy, why can't you just let her sleep?" I heard the Doctor say from outside the door.

"Because she promised that she'd be up by nine, besides I need to get her ready. Now open the door before I decide to do it."

The familiar buzzing of the sonic filled the air as the door clicked open. I buried myself deeper in my blankets. She's not getting away with it that easily.

The lights flipped on and I quickly pulled the blanket over my head and scrunched myself up in a tiny ball. "Go away…"

"I'm sorry, Claire. Amy, please just let her sleep for another hour. You know you won't get her up." The Doctor said.

"I know I won't get her up, but that doesn't mean you can't." I could hear the evil smirk in her voice, which was probably matching the one plastered on her face. She better not.

"Amy, no. I will not have anything to do with this." The Doctor protested. I could hear him trying to leave the room as Amy threatened him.

"I will tell her, don't even think that I won't." I heard Amy threaten. Tell me what?

The Doctor sighed before mumbling 'fine.' I felt the bed sink as someone sat on the edge of it.

"Claire Bear…" The Doctor sang.

"No!" I protested.

His hand gently shook me. "Come on, Claire Bear, it's time to get up."

I didn't budge. I heard him sigh in annoyance before his arms wrapped around me. He tried lifting me up, but I made sure to cling to the bed for dear life.

"Really?" He asked in annoyance.

A chuckle escaped my lips. At this point I was fully awake I just wanted to annoy the crap out of him and see if he'd give up.

He jumped off the bed and tried pulling me out by my feet like in Freaky Friday, but I made sure to cling to the headboard.

"My god, Claire, really?"

I tried really hard to stifle my laugh, but alas I erupted into a fit of giggles.

"You're doing this on purpose now aren't you?" The Doctor asked.

"Maybe…"

"Ok, no more Mr. Nice Guy." He grunted.

I let out a squeak of surprise when he pounced on top of me. "Doctor! What the hell are you doing?" He wrapped all four of his limbs around me and buried his face in my shoulder.

"Get up." He ordered.

"Well I can't exactly get up with you on top of me." I argued.

He then licked the side of my face. I gasped and quickly pushed him away. "AHH! Oh hell no, that's it. I'm up, I'm up." I stumbled out of bed, the Doctor laughing at me the whole time.

I glared at Amy who stood off to the side laughing at the scene before her. "Alright you two had your laugh, now let me get dressed, so Amy will stop pestering me."

The Doctor hopped off the bed and exited the room. Amy quickly rushed to my closet and started pulling clothes out of it.

"What are you doing?" I asked as she dropped a large load of dresses in my arms.

"Helping you pick an outfit, duh!" The redhead exclaimed.

"Umm why exactly do I need to wear a dress?" I asked suspiciously.

Amy paused. "Can't tell."

"Amy…" I groaned.

"Fine. If I tell you, you have to promise that you'll still do it." She said holding out her pinky.

I eyed her pinky warily. "And if I don't."

"Well, you're doing it whether you like it or not."

I groaned before linking my pinky with hers. "Spill."

"I'm setting you up on a date." She grinned.

"And who exactly were you planning on setting me up with?" I asked even though I knew exactly whom she had in mind.

"Oh, you know who. You two have been flirting like crazy lately and neither of you are getting anywhere, so, I'm taking it upon myself to make sure you two fall in love and eventually give me children whom I can be a godmother to."

I stifled a laugh. "Amy, that is so not going to happen."

"Tell me that again on your wedding day." She smirked.

I rolled my eyes at her. Knowing that I had absolutely no way out of this, I let Amy use me as her dress up doll.

"Oh my God, you look so pretty!" Amy cried taking me by the hand and leading me over to the floor length mirror.

I was dressed in a knee-length, halter-top, black dress that was decorated with little white stars. A double-chained necklace with a silver star and moon matched the little silver star earrings Amy picked out for me. A pair of white healed sandals covered my feet and my very curly hair was gelled so it fell in perfect ringlets. My lips were painted with a light pink lip-gloss and the top lid of my eyes was lined in a small wing shape.

"Oh, one more thing!" Before I could protest Amy dusted me with some silver glitter.

"Dear lord, I look like I'm sparkling." I whispered as I started to feel more and more self-conscious. "Amy, are you sure this isn't too much?" I asked gesturing to my outfit.

"Of course not! You're gorgeous! Now, time to bring you out to the lucky fellow." She reached for my arm, but I took a step back. Nerves were starting to get the better of me.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"I'm nervous. Does he even know about this?" I asked.

Amy paused.

"Yes and no."

"What do you mean, yes and no?" I really didn't want to go out there now.

"I'm not telling you anything else!" And with that she grabbed me by the arm and dragged me out of the room and down the hall.

"Amy! Let me go!" I protested.

"You'll thank me for this one day." She muttered under her breath. Before I realized what was going on, I was shoved through a door.

I let out a gasp and put my arms out as I stumbled to the ground. Luckily, a pair of strong arms caught me before I plummeted to the hardwood floor.

"Have fun!" Amy sang out before shutting the door behind her. The sound of the door locking indicated that there was no way I was getting out of this.

I shyly looked up at the Doctor. "Umm thanks for catching me."

He smiled down at me and helped me to my feet. "Are you okay?"

I nodded in response before the Doctor headed over to the door. He tried the handle. "Yup, she locked us in alright." He muttered under his breath as he rummaged through his pockets. "She stole my sonic."

I covered my mouth with my hand as I let out a small giggle. He turned around to face me. "What's so fun-" He trailed off. The Doctor stared at me with his lips parted slightly. My giggles immediately died out as he continued to stare at me in awe. A sudden heat burned at my cheeks as I looked down at my hands and wrung them nervously.

My heart rate picked up with every step he took towards me. I continued to avoid eye contact when he stopped in front of me. His fingers traced my jawline before gently tilting my chin up, forcing me to look up at him. I could feel myself melting as his beautiful grey-green eyes stared longingly into mine.

"You look beautiful." He whispered never breaking contact.

My heart started beating even faster as I bit my lip slightly. I was speechless. He thinks I'm beautiful… I continued to stare up at him in shock, not knowing what to say in return. God dammit! Say something, idiot. "So are you." You did not just say that.

The Doctor let out a light laugh and pulled away as he scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. "Thank you."

I blushed deeply, inwardly kicking myself for saying something so stupid. In order to avoid looking at him, I looked around the room. It was dimly lit with romantic candlelight being the only source of light in the room. A small table for two was placed to the side with a single rose and a single plate in the center. Soft orchestral music was playing in the background. Amy really went over the top with this.

I turned my attention back to the Doctor. "What is all this?"

"Err, Amy said she wanted to do something special. I told her to go ahead and do whatever she wanted to do and the next thing I knew I was locked in here. I'm assuming she did the same for you." He muttered.

"Looks like she set us up." I looked down at my feet once again trying to avoid eye contact.

"It would appear so." He uttered avoiding eye contact as well. "Err, since we can't get out of here, lets see what kind of food she gave us." The Doctor happily ran over to the table and pulled out a chair. When he realized I wasn't walking over he ran back over to me, grabbed my hand and dragged me over before gently pushing me down on the chair. Once I was settled he pushed me in and sat on the opposite side.

"Ready for the unveiling?" He asked eagerly. I giggled at his excitement before nodding.

"One, two, three." We counted down in unison. On three the Doctor lifted the lid and glowed at the sight before him.

"Ooh! I love spaghetti and meatballs!" He exclaimed happily.

"Umm, there's only one plate." I pointed out.

The Doctor frowned and glanced around the room. "That's odd." He picked up two forks and handed me one. "There are two forks, we can share."

I blushed lightly taking the fork from his hand. Very sneaky, Pond. The two of us ate in a comfortable silence, we were down to the last meatball and of course we both reached for it at the same time. I was instantly reminded of Lady and the Tramp when he rolled the meatball towards me. I thanked him with a smile before cutting it in half and giving him his share.

"You said we'd share." I smiled sweetly.

"Indeed I did."

Blushing I twirled my spaghetti before placing it in my mouth. A loose strand escaped and I started slurping it up. I stopped short however when I realized the Doctor had the other end of it in his mouth. The Doctor's eyes widened when he realized we were creating the famous romantic scene from the classic Disney film. Quickly he broke it off leaving the both of us with a single long strand of spaghetti hanging from our mouths. We slurped in unison trying not to laugh at the other's face as we did so.

Our meal being complete I awkwardly looked around the room. "So, when do think we'll be aloud to leave?" I asked.

"Are you not enjoying yourself?" The Doctor asked sadly.

"Oh no! I didn't mean it like that." I apologized.

The Doctor placed a finger to my lips 'shushing' me. I looked down at his finger in confusion. "No need to apologize." He whispered. My heart fluttered slightly as the gentle weight of his finger was removed from my lips. The Doctor walked over to the side of the room where a small stereo was. He flipped through a few songs before finally deciding on one. A series of gentle cords filled the room as the Doctor turned around dramatically.

Dear my love, haven't you wanted to be with me

And dear my love, haven't you longed to be free?

The Doctor waltzed over to me and held out his hand. "Care to dance?" He asked with a twinkle in his eye. My face burned as my heart beat wildly against my chest.

I can't keep pretending that I don't even know you

And at sweet night, you are my own.

Take my hand.

I glanced down at his hand before finally taking it.

We're leaving here tonight

There's no need to tell anyone

They'll only hold us down.

The Doctor led me out onto the makeshift dance floor. My heart continued to do flip-flops as he rested a hand at the small of my back. I let my free hand rest on his shoulder, as the other stayed perfectly entwined with the Doctor's.

So by the morning light

We'll be halfway to anywhere

Where love is more than just your name.

The both of us swayed gently around the room in time to the music.

I have dreamt of a place for you and I

No one knows who we are there

All I want is to give my life only to you

I've dreamt so long I cannot dream anymore

Let's run away, I'll take you there.

The Doctor stared longingly into my eyes as we waltzed around the room. It felt like I was dancing through a dream. This moment was just too perfect to actually seem real. The only thing keeping me grounded was the firm hold the Doctor had on my waist.

We're leaving here tonight

There's no need to tell anyone

They'd only hold us down

So by the morning's light,

We'll be halfway to anywhere

Where no one needs a reason.

The Doctor suddenly let go of my waist and twirled me around before I fell lightly against his chest. I giggled lightly as he pulled me close once again.

Forget this life

Come with me

Don't look back you're safe now

Unlock your heart

Drop your guard

No one's left to stop you.

"Claire." He whispered in my ear.

"Yes?" My heart thudded dramatically as I waited anxiously for what he was going to say.

"I lied about this being Amy's idea."

Forget this life

Come with me

"What do you mean?" I asked not believing what I was hearing.

Don't look back your safe now

"This was all my idea." He blushed.

"You did all this." I asked in shock.

Unlock your heart

He nodded. "I wanted to do something special for you because I…" He trailed off not seeming to find the right words.

Drop your guard

"I care for you… a lot." He whispered searching my eyes with those beautiful grey-green orbs of his. I felt my heart soar suddenly.

No one's left to stop you now.

Shyly I stepped up on my tiptoes and pecked him lightly on the cheek. "I do too."

The music picked up into a soft electric guitar in another series of cords.

The Doctor smiled down at me in disbelief. "Really?"

My face was most certainly on fire as I nodded my head. The Doctor then picked me off my feet and spun me around in a circle before placing me down once again. I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in the crook of his shoulder as The Doctor bowed his head down into my hair inhaling my scent.

"Hmm, you smell like vanilla and frosted pomegranates. It's nice" He hummed lightly.

Another giggle erupted through me as I played with the hairs on the back of his neck.

We're leaving here tonight

There's no need to tell anyone

They only hold us down

So by the morning light

We'll be halfway to anywhere

Where love is more than just your name.

The music went through a final round of gentle cords before finally coming to a comfortable silence. The two of us stayed in our comfortable embrace until Lindsey Stirling's version of The River Flows in You along with a few gentle vibrations from my skirt pocket disrupted us.

I groaned lightly in annoyance before reluctantly pulling away from the Doctor. I glanced down at the caller ID in surprise when I read Molly's number.

"I'm sorry." I pointed to my phone, but the Doctor waved it off.

I answered the phone as the Doctor circled his arms around my waist pulling my back into his chest.

"Hello?"

"OH MY GOD CLAIRE! I HAVE HUGE NEWS TO TELL YOU!" Molly screeched into the phone. I pulled the phone away from my now ringing ears.

"You ok?" The Doctor asked worry edged in his voice.

"I'm fine, she screeches too." I mumbled before bringing the phone back up to my ear.

"Stop screaming into the phone so I can hear you properly."

"Oh, sorry! Ha, ha, well, Neil proposed!"

"WHAT?" I shrieked causing the Doctor to jump away from me.

"OI!" The Doctor called out as he rubbed at his ear in pain.

I started jumping up and down excitedly as Molly and I shrieked in excitement to each other over the phone.

The door to the room suddenly smashed open revealing two worried Ponds.

"What happened?" Rory asked.

"Doctor, I told you not to do that on the first date!" Amy groaned.

"I did nothing of the sort!" The Doctor defended. "She received a phone call and I'm assuming its good news by the way she's jumping about like that."

I calmed down and turned to my companions. "Sorry, my friend just got engaged." I apologized.

"WHAT?" Amy screamed causing us all to jump again. She rushed over to me and grabbed the phone from my hand.

"Amy, you don't even know her." I protested.

"Oh shut it. Anyone who's a friend of yours is a friend of mine." She announced before congratulating Molly over the phone.

"Well, that's enough excitement for me." Rory exclaimed leaving the room.

Amy finished her conversation with Molly before returning the phone to me.

"Congratulations!" I smiled into the phone.

"Thank you so much! I wanted to know if you and the Doctor could come to the wedding. Feel free to bring Amy and Rory as well, I'd love to meet them in person, Amy seems really sweet." She laughed.

"Yeah, of course we'll be there. I wouldn't miss this for the world and I know Amy absolutely loves weddings and dress up for that matter." I played with the starry skirt of my dress the boisterous red head picked out for me.

"Well, I'll see you at the reception."

With that we hung up. I turned to the Doctor and Amy. "How do you guys feel about going to a wedding?"
