December 25, 2013; John and I opened our presents when we woke up. The tree that he put up was by the slider. I got John new ties and a new blue shirt. He loved it and kissed my lips. John got me a dress, a bracelet and a cowgirl hat. "Awe, babe. I can't believe you did this. I love it," I said as I put the hat on my hat. "Welcome. I actually got a little one for our baby," John said as he got another little hat from under the tree, "Plus, I got another thing, but I will show you it later on when we are at my parent's house in Texas." I smiled as I thought about going into the cold Texas. "Cool. Can't wait for it," I said. We ate our breakfast. John called his parents telling them they we were coming today. His parents couldn't wait to see them. His parents didn't know what he was going to today. He wanted to surprise them and his girlfriend, me.

After breakfast, we went to get ready. We took showers. "Are we standing over there?" I asked John. He looked at me from the bathroom. "If you want too," John said. It's cold in Texas and I just don't want to freeze my ass there," I said. John nodded and said, "We can just go there for the day and come back here at night." "Okay," I said as I got my bag then went to the door. John smiled as he finished up in the bathroom. He got the ring box in the jacket pocket then went to the door. We went to the airport. I was wearing the dress and bracelet while John was wearing the new blue shirt and the new red tie that I got him. I had the cowgirl hat on that he got me. He had his cowboy hat on. We both had jackets on and pants. I was glad for everything that is happening for us.

"Hey, your parents know I am having your baby?" I asked when we were on the plane. "Um...not yet. I'll tell them when we see them. This is a great day to tell them anyway," John said. I nodded and looked out my window. John smiled and held my hand. I am okay flying right now, but isn't sure if I should when my stomach gets bigger. I put my hand on my stomach as we flew to Texas.

When the touch down in Texas, we got out and went to the exit. It was cold out. So I was glad to have a jacket. John called his parents again to tell them that they were in Texas and going to be there in 3 hours. I looked at him and waited until he was off the phone. "Three hours?" I asked. John looked at me and smirked. "Yeah, but at least we are here in the morning. We will leave later tonight," John said. "Okay," I said. John decided to go a car to rent. Once inside, John started the engine and began to drive to his parents. He smiled and held my hand. He looked down at my fingers and grinned. I noticed. "What?" I asked. "Why don't you wear rings?" He asked. I looked down at my fingers. "I guess I haven't found the right ring to put on my finger," I said hinting at that I wanted a wedding ring. John licked his lips as he nodded and continued to drive.

When they got to his parents house, John parked the car in the driveway. His parent's car was inside the garage. We got out and went to the door. John knocked on the door and we waited for one of his parents to answer. He put his arm around me as I put my arm around his waist. Soon the door opened and we saw his mother, Mary Layfield. She smiled when she saw us and we both smiled back. "Oh, John. So glad to have you here. Merry Christmas to both of you. Hello, Jamie. How are you?" She asked. "I am doing great. Thanks for asking. Merry Christmas to you, too," I said as I smiled. "Thanks, mom. Can we come in? We do not want to freeze," John said. "Oh. Of course. Come on in," Mary said as she stepped to the side to let us in. We came in and Mary shut the door behind her. She hugged us and we hugged back.

We walked to the living room and saw a nice medium size tree near the fireplace. Christmas decor was around the smelled like Mary was cooking. John's father, Lavelle Layfield was sitting in the chair. He saw us and smiled as he got up from his chair. He hugged his son then me. We hugged him back. "Look at ya. All grown up," Lavelle said to his son. John smiled then looked at me. "And Jamie is looking beautiful as ever. Come on in and sat down," He said. I thanked him then sat down on the sofa and John sat next to me. Mary went to the kitchen to get whatever it was that she was cooking. I looked at John then at his dad. "So how is everything?" He asked. "It's going good," John replied. I nodded. Lavelle smiled as he nodded.

We talked about our careers. I told them that I worked for WWE. "Oh. Why did you leave?" Lavelle asked as Mary came into the room. John sighed as he looked over at me and I looked at him. He nodded at me. I smiled as I sighed. "I quit because I am pregnant," I said. Mary and Lavelle looked at us. "Your pregnant?" Mary asked. "Yeah," I said. "Wow. How far along are you?" Lavelle asked. "About a month," I said. Mary looked at me then at John. "About a month. John, you never told us," She said. "Sorry. Just wanted to surprised you," John said. Lavelle smiled as he nodded. "Oh, we are. Anything else? Engaged?" He asked. John smirked as I shook my head. "Oh. Well, maybe sometime down the road, huh?" Mary said. "Yeah. I guess so," I said. John licked his lips. He wasn't sure if he should ask now or later. He looked at his parents. "You cooking?" John asked. "Yes. I am cooking ham," She said, "With yam, corn and mash potatoes." I loved ham so I was glad that they were cooking it. "Great and by the way, we are leaving tonight," John said. Mary was sitting in her chair. "Oh. Well, if the road is okay for you to go to the airport," She said. "Yeah," John said. We talked a little bit about the baby until dinner time. Of course we had snacks before then.

During dinner, I told them what I got John and he told them what he got for me. Mary looked at my dress. "Awe, that looks very pretty on you. And John, blue is a great color on you, and the red looks great against the blue," Mary said. We both smiled.

After dinner, we went back to the living room. Mary cleaned the dishes. John was going to propose, but couldn't until his mother was done and back in the living room. John excused himself to go to the bathroom. I nodded as I rubbed my stomach. He went up to the bathroom. Once he was in it, he took the ring box out and opened it. He smiled at the diamond ring inside. He looked at himself in the mirror. "I am so ready to get her to be my wife," He said to himself. He nodded once, put the ring box back in his pocket and left the bathroom.

I saw him coming down the stairs and smiled. He smiled at me as he sat next to me. He saw his mother sitting in her chair. Guess it's time. He licked his lips then said, "I just wanted to say that I love you, Jamie. I love you a whole lot. I wouldn't know what I would do without you. I want you to be with me forever. I want you to be my wife and the mother of my children. Jamie...," John said as he got on one knee and pulled the ring box out, "Would you marry me?" Mary and Lavelle were shocked. They didn't know it was coming. Neither did I. I looked at John then at the ring. My dreams were coming true. I was going to be Ms. Layfield. I smiled as I nodded my head.. "Yes, John, I will marry you," I said then got up from the sofa as he stood back up. I hugged him then kissed him. He did likewise. I held out my hand so he can put the ring on. "I love you," John said before kissing me again. "I love you," I said. Lavelle and Mary were very happy about us getting married. They hugged us both. "Congrats you two. Lets open the wine," Mary said. Lavelle and John nodded, but I told her I only drink water for now. She nodded and went to get the wine and water. John sat down and I sat on his lap He smiled as he put his arm around my waist. I put my arm around his neck and kissed him again. Soon Mary came back with three wine glasses, one water and handed to each of us. She sat down and made a toast to us. "Congrats to Jamie and John. It will be great to have a daughter in law and a grandchild," She said. I smiled and looked down at my stomach. John did, too then drank his wine. I drank my water then put the glass down on the table. It was about 7 P.M. and I knew we had to leave. So we got up and I thanked his parents for letting us come. "Sure. Come whenever you want. You guys are always welcome," Lavelle said then hugged me. I hugged him back then hugged Mary as Lavelle hugged John. Mary then hugged John. We said good bye and left the house. It will be a long ride there, but at least I am with my future husband.
