Humphrey's POV

As we were walking back to the pack a lot of things were passing by my mind. 'What if infecting those that want to fight as werewolves backfires? What if they turn evil cause of the infection messing up their brains?' I thought to myself. There were so many questions racing into my mind it was unbelievable. Every second that went by while we going back to the pack I saw so much blood and death. I felt sick and then a new question came. 'What about Jackie? Oh God!'

"Hey Humphrey you ok?" Lone asked. I turned my head to him. He looked worried and I knew I had to tell him but not now since we were with Winston

"Yeah I'm fine I just have a lot on my mind right now" I said calmly

"What's on your mind Humphrey?" Winston asked

I had to think of something and fast. "Its just..." was all I could say before I got tackled by a wolf. I then was pinned down and I couldn't move. I looked up to see who pinned me but then I was brought into a kiss. 'Thank you Kate for the save' I thought to myself. After a few more seconds of kissing she pulls away

"So how did it go?" Kate asked in a cute voice

"It went well" I said. But my voice sounded a little depressed

"What's wrong Humphrey?" She asked in a worried tone

"Its nothing" I said quickly "I'm just...tired" I said and she looked at me

"Yeah I'll take him to his den he's not feeling well but I'll explain what happened at the meeting when I get back" Lone said and looked at me "Aren't I Humphrey"

"Uh.. yeah" I said knowing that Lone was helping me.

"Oh...ok hope you feel better Humphrey" she said as she gave me a hug and a kiss goodbye. I then started walking to my den with Lone. "I wonder why he was "taking" me to my den. It didn't make sense." I thought as we both walked to my den.

After a few minutes of walking we finally got to my den. I entered my den and Lone follwed me in " Alright spit it out what's going on with you?" Lone said with a stern look on his face. I was taken by suprise, I didn't expect him knowing.

"What are are you taking about? I'm fine" I lied

"Bro enough with the bullshit! Tell what's going on" He yelled as he was becoming annoyed

"Alright alright! It just the whole infecting other wolves to win the war" I admitted

"That's it? Humphrey look nothing is going to happen. And if there is something that happens I'm sure we can take care of it."

"Are you sure? What if the wolves we infect turn on us" I asked with the possibility of betrayal

"Then we'll have to kill them we can't stop them because you know once they find out about how to control their power they would try to destroy us" he said

"How do you think Kate's going to take it?" I asked worried that Kate might not like the idea of the infection.

"I'm sure she'll understand and besides isn't Menendez going to cure you and your friends?" Lone asked

"Oh shit I totally forgot about that" I said as I remembered Menendez's words

"Well then problem solved" Lone said as he was leaving "Dipshit"

"I heard that you shit!" I said as I walked over to him "I may be overwhelmed with all this but that doesn't mean I am deaf" I then walked to where he was "Let's get to Winston's den"

Winston's POV

"So dad how did everything go?" Lilly asked as she was curious about the plan was for the fight

"Uh...Well...it went well" I said

"Dad you ok? You sound worried" Kate said. I stayed quiet

"Winston honey are you ok?" Eve asked me "Is there something that happened at the meeting?"

'Shit. Lone get here fast!' I thought and then I heard footsteps coming up the hill to our den. I see Humphrey and Lone come into the den and everyone turned their attention to them.

"Winston we need to set up a meeting the whole pack today" Lone said

"Dad what are they talking about? "Lilly asked and I could tell Kate and Eve were wondering the same thing.

"We'll explain everything at the meeting" Humphrey said

To prevent anymore questions and concerns I walked out of the den. I raised my muzzle and howled to the sky signaling for a meeting. One by one wolves began coming near our den . First a few came then more and more started coming by the time everyone has come all the wolves of the united packs were here. Garth came up the hill and greeted me and went inside to be with Lilly. I go back to the den and bring out everyone. I face the huge crowd of wolves either wondering why they are here or just talking among themselves.

"Ok everyone settle down" I said as the pack began to calm down. "I know you must be saying to yourself 'why am I here? What's going on?' Well here I have Humphrey and Lone and they will explain everything." I said and I let the boys take over

Humphrey's POV

Me and Lone stepped up as Winston was giving us the floor to speak. "Ok my brother and I have come up with a way to try and beat Diablo in his own game." I said and everyone looked at us with confused or concerning faces

"Humphrey what are trying to tell us?" Kate asked. I turned my head to her to answer but I couldn't. Not before Lone telling everyone else about the plan

"The plan is that we infect everyone with our power. So everyone could become a werewolf like us" Lone said and I heard gasping and everyone was talking to one another.

"Humphrey?" I looked at Kate and she had a worried face

I turn back to the pack to help this situation "Ok everybody calm down. I know you are all scared of trying this since you've seen us turn but you don't have to become a werewolf if you don't want to. We are only asking for the ones who are willing to become a werewolf. If you don't want to be a werewolf my brother will teach you how to take one out." I said trying to make the situation better

"It will be intense training since you are going up against werewolf. And trust me on this, its ten times harder to kill a werewolf than a regular wolf. The training I'm giving you will be tougher than trying to become an Alpha but it is much more rewarding when training is complete" Lone said

"I will be training the infected. I will train you on how to control your power and when to strike at your opponents. If we win this war and you want to go back to your normal lives our friend Menendez will cure you completely so you can go on with your lives." I said and everyone looked at me

"Is there any questions?" Lone asked

"Yeah" one wolf said "Why should we listen to you! You're the reason we're in this mess!" Then an uproar of wolves with angry looks. They were siding with that one wolf "Yeah he's right if you weren't here we wouldn't be having this problem!" A she wolf said

"Then let's solve this problem! Get him!" A male wolf said

"Whoa guys calm down" I said as some wolves were coming up the hill. Lone hopped in front of me and told me to back up

"Humphrey get back!" Lone yelled "Alright guys back off!" Growls were coming from the angry wolves.

I then felt a very sharp pain on my side. A voice came "Humphrreeyyy!"

"No! Not now!" I said then an even sharper pain came causing me to fall to the ground and clench my side.

"Humphrey are you alright?" Kate asked as she came to try and aid me

"Kate...Get….Back" I grunted. She looked at me worried of what is happening "He's...Here..."

"Lone!" Kate yelled as she signaled him to come and help her. As here turned around he was scratched on his face causing him to yelp in pain. He cover his scratch mark and started to backup. The group of angry wolves started to come closer and closer

"Kate what is happening to Humphrey?" Eve said as she came closer to her daughter. I felt darkness in my heart and the symbols on my body began to glow changing from blue to red.

"No! Stay back!" I said in a demonic voice

"Mom get back to the den! Dad take Lilly with you!" She yelled as she backed up into the den "Lone! He's turning!"

Lone turned and saw me beginning to turn. "Shit" he said as he got tackled off the hill and hit the ground hard. There he was pinned by three other wolves "Hey! Let me go!" He yelled.

The group of wolves that were on the hill were now closing in on me "Once we're done with you we can live in peace" A male wolf said who had white fur and brown eyes. He leaped at me and clamped his jaws on my neck.

Kate's POV

As we hid in our den from the group of wolves I see a white wolf leaping on Humphrey and biting him on his neck "Humphrey!" I yelled as I saw blood dripping from him. I tried to go and get our pack member off of him but my dad was holding me back. I buried my face into his fur as I saw my mate's life ending. As I cried I heard a yelp. I looked up and see that the white wolf who bit Humphrey was on the ground with a broken jaw.

I saw Humphrey standing on his hind legs. He was in his werewolf stage but his eyes were pure black. Another of our pack member jumps at him but Humphrey catches his head with his paw. What I saw next horrified me. He clenched his paw and crushed that wolf's head. I see the body fall and it was decapitated.

I hear laughing and it was Jackie that was laughing. "Wasn't that fun?" He said as he opened his fist and blood started seeping out of his paw. "Who's next?" He asked as he showed his claws. The wolves on the hill coward in fear. He then looked at the white wolf with the broken jaw. "Oh lucky you" he said as he picked up the wolf and put his paw on the wolf's head and torso. "Since you bit me I think I'll return the favor" he said and I heard bones cracking and the Jackie ripped the head off with the spine still connected. Blood was falling everywhere and I nearly threw up at the sight of it. "I think this is yours" Jackie said as he turned to me and my family and threw the head at us.

'Oh no' I thought and I see Jackie about to pounce on us and end us. He looked at us with his pure red eyes. Then he leaped at us and I close my eyes tightly waiting for our painful death.
