Chapter XXI: The Prelims Begins

Four days have passed after Naruto and his team retrieved the scrolls from the forest of death. But now they are bored as well and were not permitted to leave the tower until the end of the second phase of the Chunin exams. In those four days, a few more teams arrived at the tower, especially those from Kumo and Taki.
With all the competitors summoned here, they all faced the Hokage since the arena was pretty much empty. Furthermore, there was a giant statue of a shinobi doing the ram hand seal, two balconies that will be filled with spectators while an electric board will show who will be facing off against each other.
"Congrats to you all for passing the second round of the chunin exams." Smirked the Hokage while a few shinobi smiled. "Now t—", he was cut off by another shinobi with some health problems.
"So sorry to interrupt you, but can I continue, Hokage-sama?" asked the Shinobi as the Hokage shook his head.
"I am Gekko Hayate and I will be the proctor of this part of the chunin exams." He said. Now gecko was a guy that has feelings for Yugao since his short brown hair and dark markings under his eyes represent a man with feelings for love. Unfortunately for him, he hasn't had a good night's rest and with the chronic coughing bothering him, he was in no shape to fight in combat. He still has a standard konoha shinobi outfit along with a forehead protector that serves as a bandanna, flak jacket and shinobi sandals. He also carries a katana with him on his back.
"Before proceeding, we need to have preliminary matches." Said Hayate. This caused an uproar among the genins.
"What do you mean by that?" asked Kiba.
"Well, we didn't expect this many people to pass the exam so we had to thin out the contestants. During the exam, the nobles had to assist with the matches so the time that they used will not go to waste." Explained Hayate. Some of the young genins were still against this.
"Why are we to be sacrificial lambs for this?" someone yelled.
"You are misunderstanding the meaning of the chunin exams." Said the Hokage as everyone faced him. "The purpose of the exam is to see who will be promoted to chunin but that is just an underlying objective. Furthermore, these exams are a substitute for the upcoming invasion of Konoha since Naruto was the one that told Ibiki about a certain spy that infiltrated our village to gather intelligence on the event. Therefore, we need the strength of every shinobi here to face life and death battles. With every shinobi here, we can ensure that their strength will be enough to take down orochimaru in the finals later on. It will also strengthen the wealth within our village."
"Before we continue, is there anyone that needs to forfeit?" asked Hayate.
"Zaku Abumi has decided to forfeit and thus, he will not be a part of this exam since he is out cold right now." Said Naruto.
"I see. Well then, we shall begin the first match since it will end when someone is knocked out, dead or impaired. As soon as I declare a winner the match will end immediately, is that clear?'" said Hayate.
"The names will appear on the electric board randomly since we have an odd number of contestants. But only one of you will make it to the third round of the chunin exams."
"Looks like Gaara will be getting a free pass since he is to report to Inoichi for a psych evaluation."
"That was too close, it seems that I can move on to the finals without showing my skills." Thought Kankuro.
As the board started going through new names, it stopped to reveal Sasuke and Lee going first.
"Would Uchiha Sasuke and Kin Tsuchi step forward while the rest of you head over to the balconies." Explained Hayate as everyone left the arena except for Sasuke and Lee starring at each other.
"Go get him, Sasuke-kun" yelled Sakura as she cheered for the Uchiha leaving Naruto and shikamaru covering their ears.
"That fan girl is seriously annoying me. But I think I might learn something from this match" thought Naruto as he activated his sharingan and analyzed the matches.
"Fighters ready?" asked Hayate and both nodded.
"HAJIME!" said Hayate as he stood back.
Once the match began, Sasuke rushed forward with a few punches and low blows for Kin, but she simply dodged them as she jumped from behind Sasuke and took him up to the ceiling above before dropping him to the ground like a rock. However, Sasuke recovered from that and proceeded to go for a low kick to Lee's face. Once it connected, Kin paused to wipe the blood from her face and said, "Not bad for the last surviving Uchiha clan. But you won't win this match with just speed alone."
"Give up now Kin, you are no match for the Uchihas." Said Sasuke smugly as he continued kicking the sound kunoichi in the gut, causing her to cough up blood.
As Kin stood up to wipe the blood from her mouth and held his stomach in pain. But he wasn't finished yet as anger took control of him after being bested in that little skirmish. Thinking quickly, Kin made a few hand seals and said, "Illusion ball needles" At that moment Sasuke was confused at what just happened.
"If that doesn't work, then take this! Lion's barrage!" shouted Sasuke as a swirl of leaves and wind shook the girl as she tried to keep her balance. However, Kin didn't have time to react as the attack hit her directly on her nose, thereby breaking it. She then mimicked Sasuke and threw him on the floor, but he immediately got back up and grabbed Kin by her waist before holding her down on the ground and taking her bell
"Do you give up now? I don't need to use my special ability on you since you are not worthy of being a servant to Orochimaru. I suggest you give up now unless you want me to put you in the hospital with broken bones?" smiled Sasuke as he set a fireball to Kin's left leg and another one to her shoulder before getting up.
"You are good, but next time I will beat you…. For sure." Said Kin weakly as she lied on the ground unable to move. Soon, medics arrived and lifted Kin onto the stretcher while Naruto reminded himself that he will visit her after the prelims are over.
"Winner: Uchiha Sasuke." Said Hayate. Soon, Sasuke smiled and walked back to the balcony near his team while the medics tended to his injuries when he arrived near Neji and Tenten.
"Looks like my curse mark isn't needed here since I have other plans for the finals later on." Thought Sasuke.
"Congrats, Sasuke-kun" said Sakura as hearts started appearing in her eyes as she watched her boyfriend making his way up the stairs.
"Oh god, this is why I hate fan girls like Sakura." Groaned Naruto.
"You know, N-Naruto Kun, I am a huge fan of you." Said Hinata.
"You are?" asked Kurenai.
"Of course. I'm in love with Naruto" said hinata as she paused to clear her voice before blushing furiously and starring at Naruto with those puppy dog eyes.
"What is up with girls these days always going after me?" said Naruto.
"Awww… I need a boyfriend as well" said Ino as she stared at the blonde kid.
"Congrats Sasuke" said Kakashi
"Hn" grunted Sasuke while ignoring the squeal of Sakura.
As the board randomized the names, Ino and Sakura's names appeared next. "Would Ino Yamanaka and Sakura Haruno please step forward to begin your match." Said Hayate.
Both girls looked at each other for a moment with deadly glares and auras before facing the proctor and said, "We refuse to fight each other since we are not here to be chunin, we are here for our boyfriends!"
Kakashi and the rest of them sweat-dropped while Yugito vein popped. Even Shikamaru didn't even bother watching the match since he was too preoccupied with his nap.
"Due to both girls having second thoughts about this match, I declare a tie." Said hayate.
"See Yugito-nii? I told you I would never date a girl like Sakura. But Ino, I will make an exception. This is why I can't stand cat fights like this." Said Naruto as he stood in between the kumo jinchuuriki and his bodyguards.
"Fan girls are a disgrace for being kunoichis. If they spend more time training instead of drooling about Sasuke, they wouldn't be out there slapping each other silly. This is just sad." Stated yugito
"At least you know how to treat women roughly." Said Naruto as everyone sweat-dropped at that remark.
"Sabaku no Gaara and Yoroi Akado please step into the arena and begin your match" said hayate as gaara used his traditional sand shunshin to jump into the arena while his opponent took the stairs.
"Ready? HAJIME!" said the proctor as he watched Gaara's bloodlust burning out of control.
"Sand Shuriken." Said Gaara immediately as he sent ten of those spinning blades toward his enemy. But Yoroi easily dodged them with his evasive maneuvers.
"Is that all you got? How pathetic. I guess the village of suna has disposed of trash like you." Smiled Yoroi evilly.
At that moment, Kankuro immediately gave Yoroi the finger and shouted, "GAARA IS OUR BROTHER AND IS NOT THE DEMON YOU MOTHERFUCKER! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF I SHOVE KARASU UP YOUR LITTLE ASS!?"
Temari immediately restrained Kankuro from doing anything foolish as he could easily get disqualified for interfering in a match. "Quiet down, Kankuro. Do you want to get kicked out?"
"But, temari-chan, they insulted my brother." Whined kankuro.
"Just be thankful you didn't get disqualified. For now, just watch the match." Said temari while placing her hand on her brother's shoulder.
As yoroi jumped up, he noticed his leg was caught in something and looked down to see sand wrapped around his feet. As the sand rose, Yoroi tried to get free but it seems that he can't move due to the sand closing in on his body. Not even five seconds later, Yoroi was completely covered in sand as Gaara used sand coffin before unleashing more of his weapon onto a screaming yoroi. "Sand burial." Gaara immediately closed his hand into a fish as the sand compressed onto Yoroi preventing him from beathing as he screamed like mad before he fell to the ground, losing consciousness due to the blood coming out of his vital organs.
"Winner, Sabaku no gaara" said Hayate as he looked at the damage done to a shinobi from the sound village.
"He-he killed Yoroi." Sakura said as she surveyed the damage and all that blood.
Yoroi's other teammate balled his hand into a fish and swore he would get revenge on the Sand village for what he did. Furthermore, this could put Orochimaru's plans into jeopardy without Yoroi around. Furthermore, the land of sea would be safe once again later on. At this point, Orochimaru didn't care about his pawns getting killed since he is more focused on attacking Konoha.
"That tanuki always wanted death and destruction. He is insane as always" said Kurama.
"I guess I need to defeat him if we face off to prove a point." Replied Naruto
"Uzumaki, you are going to be mine." Yelled gaara as he pointed his finger at the blonde standing on the balcony.
"I told you I don't swing that way" said Naruto. But that pissed gaara off even more as a wave of sand came towards the blonde. Naruto watched the sand coming towards him and before anyone else can react, the sand was wrapped around the blonde and crushed him.
"NARUTO!" shouted kakashi as he watched his little brother figure getting crushed to death. Gaara smiled as he finally got the blood offering to her mother, but was shocked when Naruto escaped unscathed.
"Did you do something to me?" asked Naruto. Everyone had mixed reactions at what just happened while Kakashi breathed a sigh of relief while temari and Kankuro had their jaws on the floor at the blonde being unhurt as he brushed the remnants of the sand off his jacket. As for yugito, she stared at the blonde suspiciously as he was some sort of an enigma. Soon, Naruto made a sealless shunshin and appeared right in front of Gaara before planting a firm kick in the boy's stomach and sent him flying towards the wall. Everyone could see small cracks forming from his broken skin.
"Did you see that, Naruto just hit Gaara." Said Kankuro looking flabbergasted. He never saw his brother getting hit with such a powerful technique and yet this blonde appeared in front of gaara and kicked him like it was nothing.
"What other layer of sand do you have?" asked Naruto as he watched Gaara getting up with the cracks disappearing from his face.
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" roared the Hokage through the room as that got everyone's attention. "Naruto, please stand down. As for you Baki, please control your students or we will be the ones doing the disciplining for them."
"My apologies, Hokage-sama" said Baki as he bowed to the Hokage. Gaara had ruined everything while kankuro tended to Gaara and temari dusting off
"Dosu Kinuta vs Akimichi Chouji, please step forward to start your match." Said Hayate.
Once chouji made it down, he remembered the face of that sound genin for what he did to sakura earlier, but decided to take it upon himself to avenge Sakura's defeat before getting rewarded for barbecue later on.
"Hey Asuma-sensei, when this is over, perhaps you can treat us to barbecue." Smiled Chouji.
"So troublesome, is food all you ever think about, chouji?" groaned Shikamaru.
"At least cut down your weight fatso." Said Dosu
At that moment, Chouji just vein popped and unleashed his anger. "I am not fat! I am just big-boned! You asked for it, prepare to die! Ninja art: Expansion Jutsu" Chouji charged straight at his opponent, btu dosu dodged it very quickly and unleashed his melody arm while dodging the boy's human boulder. Once Chouji gets stuck through the wall after punching a huge hole in the arena, the melody arm goes directly into Chouji's body, causing him to lose consciousness.
After the match, Dosu returned to his teammates while eyeing Naruto. "That's what you get for injuring Zaku. I took care of your friend with ease."
"I don't care about that. Dosu. Once this is over, you and kin will be joining me to take down orochimaru." Said Naruto as he pointed an accusing finger at the sound genin
"Does it look like I am your friend? This headband shows I am an enemy of Konoha!" retorted Dosu.
"Not for much longer after the prelims are over." Replied Naruto.
The next match was Neji vs Misumi since that guy was also on Kabuto's team. Furthemrore, Neji's 360 degree of vision would have an advantage against that guy. Once the hyuuga prodigy walked down the stairs, he took his fighting stance and activated his byakugan before charging towards Misumi. At that moment, Misumi took an evasive maneuver but was caught as Neji jimped around and poked at his opponent with a series of jyuuken strikes, causing his opponent to spit out blood.
As the fight continued, Misumi tried his best to dodge another series of kicks, but was unable to do so. "You are in the field of my divination. Eight trigrams, two palms!" shouted Neji as he strikes Misumi's chakra points, causing him to grunt in pain
"Four Palms"
"Eight Palms"
"Sixteen Palms"
"Thirty-two palms"
After all the strikes, Misumi could see that his chakra network has been blocked and severed, leaving him vulnerable to one final attack.
"This is your fate to lose. Eight Trigrams, Sixty-four Palms!" With that strike, Misumi was hit at close range in his gut and stomach as he collapsed to the ground, unconscious after two final jyuken strikes.
"Winner of the match: Neji Hyuga
"His fate has been decided, now I will have no problems defeating that blonde." Said neji smugly as he walked up the stairs and sees Tenten congratulating him. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to care as the weapons girl had a crush on him. However, due to his eyesight, he was too blind to understand that.
As for Hinata's match against Karui, he feels that Hinata is not ready to fight battles her way. Unfortunately, Hinata countered Karui's point and said that Hiashi dissolved her daughter from the family and feels that she is too weak to be the heiress. Therefore, he considered Hinata the weak one and tossed her out.
"Just throwing hinata out like trash? How sad. That is no way to treat family." Said Ino.
Kurenai couldn't believe at what Hiashi did and would have the pleasure of strangling the leader of the hyuga clan since he was responsible for sending his brother to his death.
Although Karui didn't say anything, she knew that the Hyuugas are cold and uncaring, but this was a new low. "In the end, I should be grateful to you," stated Hinata "If you didn't come to take me from Konoha, Naruto would never have saved me and maybe my father would never have expelled me in the first place. Over the last few years, I was with Naruto-kun and he showed me what it means to be loved, unlike my father. But overall, everything worked out in the end." Said Hinata with a smile
"You mean that blonde kid that carries the nine tailed Jinchuuriki?" asked Karui as he pointed to the blonde on the stands
"Who are you calling a kid? We are the same age." Stated Naruto
"Yep, he was the one that found me while defeating the kidnapper on his own."
"You were six years old back then, how can a child kill a jonin?" asked Karui in shock.
Naruto sighed for a moment and answered. "So troublesome. This is what happens when people underestimate me. Even though I was so young, I was already a genin and I am sneaky. That man had to pay the price for that." The audience nodded while Shikamaru smirked at the boy's favorite quote.
"Are you ready to fight?" asked Hinata as she channeled chakra into her wrist and out came a sword that is over twenty inches long with white lines and lavender shaped
"I see you know some kenjutsu said Karui as she dashed towards her before doing some vertical slashes, but Hinata was able to block it before unleashing her next attack. 'Suiton: Teppoudama (Water Bullet)" The water came at a high speed towards Karui, but she manages to evade all of them and watched them hit the wall. Karui then rushed forward once again and said "Cloud-style: Deception Slice" and made a slash motion, but it turns out that was a clone as well. At that moment, Hinata activates her byakugan and blocked a lateral swing with her taijutsu style before channeling more wind onto her sword and then closed the distance before making final slashes to destroy Karui's sword.
"What did you just do to my sword?" asked a pissed off Karui
"After a few skirmishes, I can tell you are better at kenjutsu than me so I had to take care of that since my wind was channeled into the sword and destroyed yourss." Said Hinata as she ran through a series of hand seals and said "Suiton: Suishouha (Exploding Water wave)" She then expelled greater amounts of water to the arena, thereby completely flooding the grounds. But Karui quick;y called out her emoption wave attack to shock Hinata.
Although that attack didn't go well as planned, Hinata took this opportunity and went through new hand seals and went through her favorite technique "Suiton: Suiryudan no jutsu (Water dragon)" a water rose from the ground and quickly crashed into karui when he didn't have time to dodge the attack as she was sent crashing into the wall before a water prison rendered her unable to move.
Hayate was surprised at the final ending and said, "Winner: Hinata Hyuga"
"I am so happy that Hinata won." Smiled Naruto. Everyone else except his team stared in shock at what just happened once Hinata made it up the stairs. Even the Hokage was shocked at the performance
Kakashi broke from his own shock and blinked before walking towards Neji and said, "Can you check her chakra levels?"
As Neji activated his byakugan, he was shocked at what just happened. "That's—That's not possible. She has jonin chakra! How is this possible, she is nothing but a failure and a genin." Said Neji.
"If she is a failure, then I wonder what a genius can do." Mused kakashi
"Congrats Hime." Said Naruto as he hugged Hinata
"You are still a failure relying only on ninjutsu. This proves that you are not ready to use the Byakyugan" stated Neji coldly
"I will show you what failure really means when I take you down in the finals." Said Naruto
"The next match will be Fuu from Taki and Omoi from Kumo." Said Hayate.
The match went without a hitch as Fuu easily used his water whip and pinned Omoi's arms and legs and held him down. Omoi couldn't free himself from the binds but they wouldn't budge
"I surrender." Said Omoi
"Fuu of Taki wins." Said Hayate.
"That was so anticlimactic." Said Asuma as he watched Omoi return to the balcony with his head low after being defeated with a single jutsu
"Man, those things are so tight and it will not budge." Said Omoi while sucking on his lollipop in disappointment.
"What sort of affinity do you have?" asked Naruto
"Like most of the people in kumo, I have lightning. Why?" asked Omoi
"You could have channeled the lightning chakra through the whips and since they are water, they would have most likely be weakened when you perform a substitution." Explained Naruto
"Why didn't I think of that?" said Omoi.
"Would Nii Yugito and Shino Aburame step into the arena to begin the match?" called Hayate
"Good luck to you Shino." Said Naruto
"Thanks, but it is unlikely that I will be winning." Said Shino stoically
"Well, at least he is not worried." Said Asuma
Once hayate began the match. Shino grabbed Nii's leg and spun her around before throwing her at the wall. But she manages to twist in midai and land gracefully at the wall like a cat would.
"Shino's taijutsu has substantially increased." Said a surprised kakashi.
"I have to thank Naruto and Hinata since they gave me time to focus more on Shino. But his main weakness is taijutsu so we tried to get him a defensive type." Explained Kurenai
"Kick her ass, Shino! Once this match is done, I will add that woman to my list of CRA candidates later." Said Naruto. Everyone else was confused at Naruto's remark but decided to focus on the match.
Once Yugito dropped from the wall, she crouched like a cat before pouncing on the victim. Shino watched carefully and started releasing his bugs heading towards her. Soon, Yugito called out her phoenix Fire technique as multiple fireballs crashed into Shino's bugs and engulfed them in flames.
Yugito smiled, but as she noticed the bugs still following her, she was shocked.
"How did you do that?" she asked.
"My weakness is fire since it can easily destroy my bugs. Luckily I was able to coat them with water chakra to protect them." Said Shino stoically
"I guess I have to turn up the heat then. Let's go, nibi" said Yugito to her partner
"Right Kitten" replied the nibi
"Fire style: Blue Fireball technique" yelled Yugito as a huge blue fireball was hurled over to Shino and turned his bugs into dust before continuing towards her opponent.
"Earth Style: Earth wall" said Shino as a small earth wall appeared in front of him to act as the defensive position, but the wall wasn't able to withstand the fireball and it started collapsing. Afterwards Shino immediately jumped away and Yugito was expecting that before greeting him with a punch to his face. But it was only a bug clone. Yugito then channeled nibi's chakra and one by one each of the bugs fell onto the ground thanks to the poisonous chakra.
"I surrender since this match isn't good for my stamina. I am also running low on chakra and it will be illogical to proceed." Said Shino
"Winner by forfeit: Nii Yugito" said Hayate
"You did good, Shino' said Kurenai
"Yeah, it would be difficult to win against her." Said Naruto.
"So? What's special about her anyway?" asked Sasuke
"Let's just say she is number 2," smirked Naruto. At that moment, Sasuke was about to jump his teammate when kakashi caught Sasuke's shoulder and sent him back to where he was before.
The Hokage was aware of this and thought to himself. "So we got a lot of jinchuurikis out there"
"next up, Nara Shikamaru vs Tenten step forward to the arena." Said the proctor
"Great! Now I have to fight lazy ass from Team asuma?" groaned Tenten
"Ready?" asked Hayate.
"I really didn't want to fight a girl." Groaned Shikamaru
"Come on now! Fight like a man already," shouted Tenten
"Geez, do you really have to be that hard on me?" replied Shikamaru
Once the match began, Shikamaru could see that Tenten was taking out a few scrolls before summoning out ninja tools to hit her opponent with. A few shurikens wasn't enough to pin shikamaru as he used his kunai knife and deflected the weapons away with ease.
"How are you doing that, Shikamaru?" asked tenten.
"Easy, all you did was throwing basic weapons that are not going to touch me when I am in a defensive stance. Although you did injure me a few times with those shurikens, I have other ways to defeat you." Said Shikamaru as he crouched with his hands in the rat seal and a shadow came out from underneath him while trapping Tenten.
"What are you doing to me? Let go!" shouted Tenten as she struggled to move.
"Kagemane no jutsu(Shadow Imitation technique) success" said Shikamaru . "In the beginning of the match you only used kunai knives to attack me. I had to block your vision with a smoke bomb so you couldn't see where you are aiming. Luckily, you still had some scythes, but I had to knock them out of your hand so that you can't use them to cut anyone. I can easily detect you in the smoke when you approached me from behind and so, I connected my shadow to yours, preventing you from moving."
"Now then, I think I will just let you off easy and forfeit this match. I don't want to fight girls since this is getting too troublesome." Said Shikamaru as he released his shadow and letting tenten go.
Everyone was shocked at what just happened in the match while Ino vein popped.
"You lazy idiot! You had that girl right where you wanted her! How can you forfeit the match now!?" she shouted as Asuma and Chouji tried their best to restrain her from smacking the lazy teammate. Everyone else sweat-dropped while Lee laughed like crazy.
"Geez, are all women this loud? I didn't want to fight because I would run low on chakra very easily. And besides, I would feel better watching clouds instead of fighting girls since I would never dream of hurting them." Replied Shikamaru as he returned to the stands.
"Winner by forfeit, Tenten." Said Hayate.
"That lazy ass sure knows what he was doing." Said Sakura smugly
Asuma laughed and said, "I gave him an IQ test and he scored a 220 since that type of genius level would make him qualified to be a chunin one way or another since he finds the academy stuff to be boring."
"He is slightly above you, Naruto-kun" said Hinata
'What do you mean by that, Hinata?" asked Asuma.
"Naruto also did an IQ test and he scored less than Shikamaru did due to lack of cognitive functions. As we tested each other at home, he scored 210." Explained Hinata as everyone's jaws hit the floor.
"How did a dead last like him have such a high IQ?" asked Asuma
"I was the same as Shikamaru." Chuckled Naruto. And it is not just me, but Hinata chan did score over 200 as well" he said and laughed at their faces since they were both geniuses.
"How much did you guys have to hide anyway?" asked asuma.
Soon, the names of Naruto and Rock lee appeared on the board as it was time for them to start their next match since its rival vs rival. Furthermore, Gai and kakashi could finally settle this once and for all.
"Looks like you and I are up next, Rock Lee. I wanted to try out my dragon fist against your strong fist since I won't plan on using my bloodline. So how about it?" asked Naruto.
"SUCH AN YOUTHFUL THING TO SAY FROM SOMEONE SO SWEET! I AGREE! IT'S TIME FOR ME TO SHOW THEM WHAT I AM CAPABLE OF!"
"YOU ARE A YOUTHFUL OPPONENT! MAKE NARUTO YOUR ETERNAL RIVAL!" Yelled Gai
Soon the whole dramatic crying scene opened up and everyone sweat-dropped while Kiba fell onto the ground laughing like crazy since both master and student were hugging like crazy as the scene of water came rushing between them and crashing into the rocks while the sun was going down.
"Those two numbskulls are weirdos." Groaned Kankuro.
"Makes me glad I am not dating that lunatic." Agreed Temari. But no sooner than she said that, Naruto appeared right next to her and said, "How about a date with me after I defeat Lee?"
Kankuro jaw-dropped and shouted, "You? Date my sister? Hell no! You are going to have to beat her in order to date her."
"Maybe I will, you paint-faced clown! I will show you just how strict women will get once this is over." Retorted Naruto.
"Why you little…. This is fucking war paint! Get it through your thick skull!" shouted Kankuro. But Naruto didn't even hear him as he jumped down from the balcony with lee on his back and arrived at the arena floor.
"Kurama a little help? Please make sure to add some fire to their little heated love scene." Said Naruto
"It doesn't work because I am under a genjutsu" said Kurama
"WAIT, how did Naruto have a bloodline?" asked Sakura
"I just do, Sakura-chan!" finished Naruto
"How does a dead last and orphan loser like you have that bloodline?" asked Sasuke. Naruto could only clench his fist in anger and tried to channel the kyuubi's chakra, but the fox managed to hold it in. "You know Sasuke, one day you will regret those words because you are not that special. Besides, my bloodline is strong."
"Please! My sharingan is the most powerful technique in the world." Smirked Sasuke
"If you say so." Laughed Naruto as he faced Lee
"Ready? HAJIME!" said Hayate. "The final match of the prelims will be Uzumaki Naruto against Rock Lee."
CUT! That's it for the first set of matches since they were well played out. I wonder how Naruto will fare against Rock Lee since I didn't pair him up with Gaara. Furthermore, Kiba forfeited his match against Temari because it is too troublesome for him to face off against a wind user. After all, Kiba's speed won't be strong against a sand kunoichi because her skills are twice as powerful.
