Fearing her safety, Alicia tried desperately to get Cream back in bed. "You can't!"
"Says who?"
"Me! Krise will find her! Just wait-"
"I'm done waiting! I'm tired of having to sit in this stupid bed all day! I'm tired of being burden! I'm leaving this hospital to help my best friends, and there is NOTHING you, or anyone else can do!"
"Ooooh, this is bad. Bad, bad, bad!"
"Well make it un-bad, cause you're helping me bust out."
"Why me..."
Amy's p.o.v (flashback)
"SHE DOESN'T NEED YOU!"
"DO NOT TELL ME HOW TO RAISE MY CHILD JACLKIE!"
"I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU!"
"I SWEAR, YOU'LL BE THE DEATH OF ME SOMEDAY!"
I cowered under the table as mommy and aunt Jackie fought. Mommy says she doesn't get along with her sister. But aunt Jackie seems nice to me. I rested my chin on my knees and looked at their hands thrashing around. Aunt Jackie's eye caught mine for a split second. She looked...angry. Mommy looked at me too, but she looks really sad. Two opposite people. Opposite personalities, Oposite looks, oposite traits, oposite lives. But, the same mommy and daddy. How could that be. Is this my fault they're arguing?
Mommy grabbed me and hoisted me over her shoulder.
"I don't need you anymore. You're fired."
"YOU CAN'T FIRE ME!"
"Lower your voice around my-"
BAM
I cried as mommy and her big sister started fighting. Aunt Jackie wasn't being very nice. Mommy slung Aunt Jackie to the ground and grabbed me, only quicker this time. Aunt Jackie looked up with a bloody nose.
"You'll come back. I know you will."
I breathed in rhythm with mommy's heartbeats. The tighter she held me, the more agressive she got with Aunt Jackie. "You will never work for me again."
"You'll get your slice of life. Everything is so perdect for you. Well i'll be sure to mess that- up, up, up, up..."
(End of flashback)
"UP! WAKE UP WAKE UP!"
Why can't I open my eyes? What was going on-?
"Amyyyyy!"
"..."
"Amy, up here."
Looking up at a huge misty tree, I made my way to that familiar voice.
Shadow's p.o.v
Why the hell do I have to do this anyway?! For all I care I could have left her back there to die! Why didn't I? The hell if Iknow. Huffing, I began zipping through the fields even faster. I could hear the rumble of a car near by. What would cars be doing here? I had little time before two headlights blinded my eyes, and I fell down loosing my grip on the pink girl.
"AMY!"
Grumbling, I held my head in my hands as I watched a fair heighted rabbit get out of a car and pick up Amy. "Hey, who the hell do you think you are?!"
"Me?! Who do YOU think YOU are! How dare you run away with this innocent girl."
"I was trying to help her. She was standing there shellshocked as that guy burned to death in front of her. I didn't see you on the scenes!"
"Why is she wet?! She's ice cold!"
"She fell in a frozen lake damnit! Now give her back! She needs help!"
"You've helped enough! Be gone!"
"Son of a-"
"EXCUSE ME?!"
Amy's p.o.v
"Hello?"
"Amy! Up here. Come on now."
Climbing up the tree, I felt as if all my body weight dropped down to negative numbers. I was so...light. I climbed, floated rather, to the topmost branch. There sat a female hedgehog. I couldn't see her face. As a matter of fact, her whole body was a golden light. The only thing you could make out was her flowing quills and fair hips.
"Amy? Come here now. Let me see you."
My voice...disaeared for a few seconds as she reached out and touched my lips.
"Beautiful."
"M-Me?"
"Umhm. Just like me...oh why. Why did my sister..."
"Who are you?"
The golden figure laughed and smiled. This was no...ordinary smile. It was sincere, warm,... you rarely see anymore. I wanted to reach out and hold her, but I can't. I feel as though i'm not worthy enough. And if i'm not mistaken, she reminded me of...
"Do you know?"
"What?"
"Do you know what lies ahead of you?"
"Certainly death. It's what I almost attempted."
"Anything can get you from point A to B, but imagination will you get you everywhere."
"What does that have to do-"
"If you don't question, you'll reveal. Silently."
"I..."
"It's time. It's time for your life to change. I may not be in it anymore. Honestly, I am not here even now. I am not talking to you. You.."
I gasped as her pointer finger touched my chest."
"...are imagining. Imagination...the soul amd heart to life."
"The soul and heart to life..."
"You got it. Now. Go on. Warm yourself. Be strong. Be free."
I covered my eyes as the winds began to pick up. Everything was blowing out of existence. The golden hedgehog began to fade away with it. The stonger the wind, the more she'd fade. I finally held my hand out. "Wait! Don't go!"
"Be who you are. Let no one change that."
"WAIT! WAIT!" I screamed until my voice went vacant as I wen floating up once again. Watching thid beautiful, misty world fade away. I had one last word. I could feel it. One last word that I could muster up and say.
"MOMMY!"
