A/N: So, I watched Power Rangers Super Samurai and I have one question. Why weren't Jayden and Emily endgame? I mean, Emily was clearly in love with Jayden and no one can convince me otherwise! I could go on a huge rant, but I am not going to. I only like to keep my notes a hundred words or less. The life of a fangirl is a hard life. Sometimes, I wish I never knew what fangirling and shipping were. Oh what a simple life I would lead. Well, I hope you guys enjoy it!

Chapter Nine: Reaction
"I'm going away."
"Permanently."
Jayden knew those words would cause his teammates to react in shock and sadness. Of course he hadn't wanted them to react that way, but when you drop a bomb on the people who you have been living and fighting with for over a year they are going to react that way. He had given them no warning, but if they knew what he was up to then they would have tried to stop him.
Especially Emily.
After his revaluation she is staring at him with wide, gray eyes which are slowly pooling with tears. He feels like he has taken her heart and shattered it into a million pieces. He had never liked the sight of Emily with tears in her eyes. He needed to see her smile one last time before he left but he knew that wouldn't happen.
She was heartbroken and it was all his fault.
He knew that out of all his teammates that she would have the hardest time with him leaving. Jayden should have told her before had, but he knew she would have begged him to stay. And she was probably the one person he would have stayed for.
No, he had to do this. He had to protect Lauren and the plan. And that meant leaving his friends and Emily behind. He didn't like it, but that's the way life was. You can't always get what you want. Lauren will be a good team leader for them and soon they will forget all about him.
Emily was in shock.
She can't believe his is doing this to them, again. At least this time he is telling them before he leaves again. It doesn't mean she won't worry about him any less though. She wants to wipe away the tears pooling in her eyes, but he might notice that. And she doesn't want him to see that she is on the verge of tears.
He told them that they needed to follow Lauren now. Emily liked Lauren, but she wasn't her team leader. Jayden was and she didn't understand why he had to go. She cared for Jayden a lot and she wore her heart on her sleeve. He had to know, right? Even if he did she wasn't going to stop him, no matter how much she wanted to.
Emily would let him go and with every step he took, her heart would break piece by piece. And once he was out of sight she would have to try deal with him leaving. She had a duty to herself as well as her fellow rangers. She just hoped she could deal with this.
But in her heart she knew she wouldn't be able to.
