Dry Your Tears Chapter 35

Xander had given Shadow her address. Shadow knew where she lived, that's how he got to her doorstep so quickly. He knew a lot of things about people; most of which he kept to himself. He banged on Jackie's door with severe force. From the inside she could be heard grumbling about the ruckus. The door swung open and Jackie stood on the porch with an angered expression. "I don't have a check for you-"
Shadow smirked sarcastically as she realized he wasn't Xander coming for money. She frowned as she remembered him from the hospital. She tried closing the door, but Shadow stopped it with his hand. Jackie clenched her teeth angrily and spoke through them. "Get off my property before I call the police."
Shadow held the door still. "Oh, but the police are the last people you'd like to see aren't they? Not after you bribed a homeless couple to beat a child, or after you caused the death of your sister, or how you possessed illegal drugs. Might I go on? I have quite the fucking list", Shadow growled. Jackie looked fearful for a split second, but maintained her posture.
"You have no idea what you're talking about. You're mad!" She used all her force to close the door, but Shadow stopped it with his foot this time. He looked at her with a blank expression. Jackie growled. "You know nothing about me!"
Shadow shoved Jackie backwards into her house and closed the door behind him. Jackie sat up and moved herself back. "You'll be arrested for assault! Don't you touch me!"
Shadow stood over her with his arms crossed. "I could snap your neck before you even moved so much as a centimeter towards the telephone. I want answers, and I want them now." Shadow stepped over Jackie and yanked her phone cord out of the wall, tossing it over on the hard wood floor. Jackie glared. "What answers? I don't owe anything to you. I don't even know you, or what you hope to accomplish by invading my personal space."
"Save me the bullshit", Shadow said angrily. "That piece of shit Xander told me everything. I know all about your little scheme. So how'd you do it? How'd you take out Amy's parents?"
Jackie remained silent and looked down at the ground. She began to laugh hysterically. Her hair became messy as she began to sweat heavily. "Ah...my sister. My dear sister. How I miss her so, haha!" Shadow frowned. This woman had truly lost her mind. Jackie smiled and let her hair fall over her face. "My sister died in a car accident with her husband. I had nothing to do with that."
"But didn't you"? Shadow began pacing around Jackie, keeping a close eye on her. "Weren't you the one who caused it some how? That's why you bribed Xander and Vera to take Amy."
Jakie bit her lip extremely hard to the point where it started bleeding. She licked the blood off her tongue and smiled wickedly. "The bunny must have told you some information didn't she? I was right to sneak back into her room and pull the plug on one of the machines supporting her breathing. I hope she's dead-AHHH!"
Shadow had kicked Jackie in the face roughly. Not only had she been the cause of Amy's parents, she was also the one who attempted to take out her best friend. Her face was now covered in blood. She wiped it and looked at her red fingers. She scowled. "You...stupid..ass...SON OF A BIIIIIITTTTCCCCCCHHHHH!"
Jackie charged at Shadow, screaming at the top of her lungs. Shadow dodged and knocked her back to the ground. He stepped onto her stomach with one foot. She grunted in pain. Shadow shook his head and applied more force. "Tell the truth, and turn yourself in. Admit to everything. I will shatter your entire rib cage right now so help me god", Shadow said as he pressed down harder.
Jackie coughed up blood and laughed some more despite the pain. "My bitch of a sister deserved to die. She was always mommy's favorite, daddy's precious girl. She had everything I wanted. A husband, a child, money, friends." Jackie spit up more blood and smiled with red stained teeth. "I made sure her and her husband died. I made sure their child was beaten senselessly, and that her life was miserable. I took all of their money and I'll never lose to anyone again. I'll be damned if you take it away from me!"
Jackie dug her nails into Shadow's leg, making him lift it for a brief moment. She rolled over and stumbled over to a drawer. She pulled out a gun and let it fumble in her hands before she got a good grip. She pointed it at Shadow's head. "Who's the bad ass now, huh?! WHO?!"
Shadow frowned, but stood his ground. He didn't flinch.
Jackie spit more blood on the floor and stared at Shadow. "I convinced Vera to kill herself. I got in that already screwed up head of hers and told her it was for the best. I told her lies, and it felt amazing to see the pain in her eyes. I'll feel amazing watching you bleed to death on this very floor. Seeing the life slowly leave your eyes would be better than a damn orgasm." Jackie shook the gun at Shadow. "STOP FUCKING WITH ME!"
Shadow stayed still, thinking of what his next move would be. He raised his hands up and spoke to her calmly. "Amy never did anything to you. She loved you despite you giving her away all those years ago. All she ever wanted was to be close to you."
Jackie gripped the gun tighter. "Shut up. Shut the hell up. I could care less about that damn girl. You're probably screwing her aren't you?! I knew she'd turn out to be a filthy whore."
Shadow kept his patience. "We're just friends-"
"Even better", Jackie laughed. "Another friend to kill." Jackie flicked the trigger so it would be ready to fire. She looked Shadow in the eye. "You never should have came here. As far as the police are concerned, you turned on me and I had to defend myself. Lovely story isn't it?"
Shadow looked down and noticed she was standing over a rug. He got down on his knees slowly. "I'll beg for my life then."
Jackie looked down at him, keeping the gun pointed at his head. "You're pathetic." She watched as Shadow got down and began to bow before her. She smiled and prepared to fire while his head was down, but Shadow gripped the rug and pulled it quickly. Jackie lost her balance and fell backwards.
BANG!
The gun went off, sending a bullet through the roof. Shadow grabbed the gun and pointed it at Jackie who was laying on the ground. She cursed and tried to stand up. Shadow fired.
BANG!
Jackie screamed as a bullet went through her leg. She looked at her wound then dug her nails into her head. "YOU'RE RUINING MY PRECIOUS BODY! FUCK YOU-"
BANG!
Jackie fell back as Shadow shot her shoulder. She cried in pain as she held her bleeding shoulder. "You're mad", she said, "you're damn mad." With her good leg, she swiped Shadow making him stumble backwards. He quickly regained his balance, but Jackie was running out of the door. He fired repeatedly as she ran away.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
He missed all three times. Maybe on purpose since he still needed information out of her. She laughed wickedly as she continued to run off into the distance. Shadow dropped the gun on her porch and began to walk back to Xander's apartment. "You'll be back. And if someone else doesn't do it already, I will kill you."
