"Why the hell do all these pamphlets only have maps of this city? Get me a map of Washington." I said to a hotel worker in the lobby. He dropped the bag he was carrying and took a step back. I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. "A map. Now."
"There's uhm, ah! Google!" Some of his fear went away.
"The hell is Google?" He gaped at me.
"Uhm, we have computers any guests can use. They're this way." He pointed behind me.
"Show me." I let go of his collar and he stumbled forward, almost falling on me.
"Sorry," he whispered while passing by me. I walked directly behind him, causing his anxiety to go up. "Here they are." That's a fucking TV.
"I'm not seeing a map." He sat in front of the TV and began typing on a keyboard. "I understand, now move." I took his spot and typed in 'Washington state map'. One quickly appeared. I calculated the quickest route to Bella's town. I zoomed in on the map and memorized the different streets.
I wonder where that bothersome coven has put down their roots. Carlisle had looked too put together to be living outside. There were six of them in total, so no where small. They couldn't live too close to the humans or they'd raise suspicion. So they lived outside of the town, probably sheltered by the forest. I'll have to ask Bella more about that coven. I suspected the 'weird person' Bella talked about was that piss-ant with red hair. I'd already caught him once staring at her.
I should have made them leave Bella's town, but I'd rather know where they're at than not. They could use Bella against me, but they already had a healthy dose of fear of me. Still there was the problem of Alice's and Edward's gifts. My thoughts wouldn't give away shit if I didn't want them to, but the future… I would have killed to have that gift on my side during the war. It wasn't infallible though. The stain in the back of the hotel closet where Edward's head had been was proof of that.
The clock on the bottom of the screen told me it had only been twenty minutes. Forty minutes before Bella won't shout at me for waking her up. It wasn't enough time though to go hunting and dispose of a body. I usually wouldn't need to hunt two days in a row, but Bella had been burning up much of my energy. I could wait till Monday though to hunt. I was very happy that Bella was keeping up with me this far. She was a limber little thing, especially once she got over being self conscious.
Hmm, where should we fuck next? The sun has seen both our asses and we already got rid of that new car smell… The pool? Naw those community ones had all sort of nasty things in them. I wonder if there's any natural hot springs around here.
I typed it into the Google. They were all a bit too far away though.
The chair I was in swiveled. I spun around twice. Fuck I hate waiting. Why was I always waiting? Because she's human.
I spun in the chair a few more times, thinking.
It's Saturday night. I'm sure Bella still wants to go to the hot tub. After that we'll fuck to the point of exhaustion. Sunday we'll just screw around more until she has to go back to her town. And Monday I'll kill that piece of shit that was staring at Bella's cleavage in the restaurant.
But after that… Bella had school, and I didn't have shit that I needed to do. Maybe I'll screw around with the Cullen coven. But they knew I had some sort of connection with Bella. When she came back on Sunday they'll question why I didn't kill her- and if they see how happy and light on her feet she is they'll be very suspicious.
If any of them fucking touched her... They have not seen Hell until they see me coming at them.
I glanced at the clock on the TV. Still so much time, I spun around in my chair again, glaring at the old lady that was looking at me in disapproval.
I got up and went to the front desk.
"I received a phone call this morning and I forgot to get their number. Can you get me that number?" I smiled at the woman behind the desk. Her natural fear was mixed with lust.
"Just give me a minute." She looked at her TV and began typing. "Room number?"
"900."
"Impressive." She mumbled under her breath. "Yes, I found the number. Would you like me to write that down for you?"
"Just tell me what it is." I opened my cell phone and typed the number as she relayed it to me. I pushed send and went back to the swiveling chair.
"Hello?" Carlisle's voice was already strained.
"Good evening. I assume your coven member has healed fully." I kept my voice pleasant. Sometimes kindness can be scarier than anger.
"Yes, he's healed."
"Splendid."I used my foot to push off the desk, making the swivel chair glide backwards. I waited for him to break. I knew the silence would kill him. Our brief interactions made it clear that he was soft.
"Is- is that all you called to say?"
"Of course not. I thought I'd give you a courtesy call and let you know that Bella is mine." I heard Carlisle gulp on the other side of the line.
"Yours?
"Mine." I chucked before ending the call.
