"I've been waiting for this all night." Bella said while moaning. "Oh god this feels good." I hit the water, splashing her. She didn't even flinch. "You jealous, Jasper?"
"Should I be jealous?" She was enjoying this too much, but it was a lazy happiness, not the lustful happiness I gave her.
"Do you feel jealous?"
"A bit."
"Then you should be jealous."
"That makes no sense."
"Exactly."
I shook my head and sunk deeper into the hot tub. It did feel good, having my body warmed up by more than just the sun or Bella's body. I looked at her with hooded eyes.
"Why are you sitting so far away?"
"If I was any closer you'd be groping me and I'd be groping you. I can't relax if we're doing that."
"If we were any further apart people wouldn't think we're together."
"First off, you don't care what people think. Secondly, you'll just glare at who ever approaches, like you did to the last three guys."
"This hot tub is only big enough for us."
"This is big enough for eight adults."
"Eight American adults or eight European adults?"
"European."
"Exactly." I said and Bella splashed me.
"Don't steal my line." I smiled at her before laying my head back and looking at the glass ceiling.
We both fell into a comfortable silence. Only our toes were touching, giving us the barest of contact. I was tempted to run my foot up her leg, but I knew this was an innocent moment.
"I wonder how mad they'll be when I smoke in here."
"You could always just go outside."
"And leave you here alone in that?" I gestured to her bikini. "Did you buy that just for me?"
"This old thing? No, I've had it for years." Bella grabbed the straps of her top and tightened the knot, making her breast bounce subtly.
"You did that on purpose."
"I did." She was feeling mischievous.
"You just know how to push my buttons."
"I do." Bella said with a smile. I just shook my head and grabbed my pack of cigarettes. They were just out of reach of the water. I flipped open my lighter. "You know what, Jasper? One of my favorite things about you is that you just don't give a shit. There's a sign not even ten feet away from us clearly stating that this is a nonsmoking area and you just light one up anyway. You move at your own pace and don't let anyone change that." I took in a long drag and blew out a few smoke rings before responding.
"You know what one of my favorite things about you, Bella? You make me want to change my pace. I've been moving in a straight line for countless years, but then I saw you…" I was starting to feel serious. I had to lighten things up. "And look at us now. I own a car, you lost your virginity, it has been an adventure for the both of us." Bella hit the water, trying to splash my cigarette. I barely dodged it.
"You ruined the moment." She said while smiling. I took in another drag before letting the smoke fall from my lips.
"Yeah, I did."
