Hello, friends! Look! Just as I promised, another chapter within a short ish amount of time!
Of course, I did have help with this one. Thank you to my wonderful Co-Authors, JarrettSoon and InsanityIsClarity! Both of you are much appreciated! (If you really want, I could also use one or two more – Make it more of a group project. Just PM me if you're interested!)

This particular chapter was written nearly entirely by JarrettSoon, and I love it very much! 3 (Now, I did edit just a few things, but other than two or three words and some format fitting, this belongs entirely to JarrettSoon.)

Vanellope skipped merrily out of Sugar Rush's terminal and into Game Central Station. She was feeling pretty happy, having beaten Taffyta to top spot in the Random Roster Race. They weren't enemies like they were during the time King Candy, or, rather, Turbo ruled, but a friendly rivalry now existed between the two. Vanellope and Taffyta always raced their hardest to beat the other, and Vanellope had come out on top today.

Vanellope felt so full of pep, she decided to share her joy with Ralph. She bounced into the train headed for Fix-It Felix, Jr. humming the Sugar Rush theme song. Leaping deftly over the side of the train cart, she skipped toward Ralph's little cottage in East Niceland.

"Hi, Vanellope! My, you're looking chirpier than usual. Off to see Ralph?" Felix exclaimed.

"Hey there, Felix! Yeah, I am. Have you seen him?"

"He should be in his house. Strange thing though; tonight's his Bad-Anon meeting, and he usually leaves right after arcade closing to help Clyde set up for the meeting." Felix replied.

"Well, then I'd better check in on Stinkbrain. Gotta make sure he's not lazing on that big behind of his!" Vanellope giggled. She waved goodbye to Felix and continued toward Ralph's abode.

She opened the door and looked around. Ralph wasn't in his living room. Strange.

"Ralph! Where are you?" She called out, slightly confused.

A deep voice replied, "Vanellope? That you?"

Vanellope followed the sound to Ralph's bedroom. She peeked in to see Ralph sprawled out on his bed.

"Ralph, are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, kid. Just a bit tired from the wrecking." Ralph coughed and sat up. "How was your racing today?"

"Five trophies and a first place on the roster race! I totally dominated Taffyta today!" Vanellope bounced around the room with glee, a grin apparent on her face. She flung herself into Ralph's chest, expecting him to catch her as usual. Instead, Ralph flinched from the impact and sighed. Vanellope sat up and looked up into Ralph's face.

"Ralph, you look really tired. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, kid. I said I'm okay."

"Don't lie to me. You're sick, aren't you?"

"No, I'm-"

Vanellope pointed a warning finger at him.

Ralph sighed. "Fine, I may be feeling a bit under the weather."

"Your game's weather stays the same, Ralph." Vanellope retorted. She glitched onto Ralph's shoulder and placed her palm on his forehead. It felt feverish to the touch.

"I don't think I'll be too much fun to hang around today, Vanellope. Plus I don't want you catching my germs. Could you help me call Mary over?"

Vanellope folded her arms. "Nonsense! I shall take care of you!" She grinned, giggling, "It's gonna be fun playing nurse!" Before Ralph could protest, she fluffed up his pillows, pushed him into a lying position and zipped out the room. Ralph opened his mouth to call out after her and then closed it. He sighed, realizing that it wasn't going to be any use trying to dissuade her. Once she got an idea in her head, she would follow through, no matter what.

A crash from the kitchen startled him. "Kid! You okay!"

"Of course!" She yelled back. "Just making you some tea!" Ralph blanched.

A moment later, Vanellope walked back in with a cup precariously balanced on a tray, as well as a cloth dipped in cold water. She carefully lifted the cup to Ralph's lips. "Drink up!" she commanded.

Ralph obediently took a sip…and nearly burnt his mouth on the scalding hot yet weak-tasting cup of tea. Still, he forced himself to slowly drink the tea that represented Vanellope's loving intentions, no matter the taste. "What happened back in the kitchen?" Ralph asked.

"Oh, nothing Felix's hammer can't fix!" She replied, beaming innocently. Ralph covered his face with his large hands, imagining what could've happened. Meanwhile, Vanellope placed the wet cloth on Ralph's forehead and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Now remember, get plenty of rest," Vanellope instructed, assuming a grown-up tone. Ralph hid a smile and nodded. "Yes, nurse," he replied. Vanellope walked demurely out of Ralph's bedroom, and Ralph soon nodded off.

He woke up several hours later, feeling much better. He decided to fix himself a snack and exited his bedroom. To his surprise, Vanellope was still around, napping on his couch. She had constructed a makeshift nurse's uniform out of one of Felix's white shirts and a paper hat with a red cross colored in. Ralph smiled down at the little raven-haired girl and gently lifted her into his arms.

As he settled in the train to Game Central Station, Vanellope briefly stirred in his arms. "Ralph?" she murmured sleepily.

"Yes, Vanellope, it's me."

"Are you feeling better?"

"Yes, I'm feeling much better, thanks to you. Thanks for taking good care of me."

"You're welcome, Ralph. I just wanted to take care of you the way you took care of me when I was sick." Her head lolled back onto Ralph's shoulder. Ralph's heart swelled with love for the little girl who had loyally stayed with Ralph and done her best to take care of him. At that moment, even the state of his kitchen didn't really seem to matter.

I'll try to have more chapters up soon!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Special thanks again to JarrettSoon for this one!
