Happy reading!

Moriel wandered down to Ivoriel's cell. At first it didn't register but when she looked more closely. She finally realised Ivoriel was gone. She wasn't under her blanket or hiding. Like there was anywhere she could have hid. 'She must have jumped. Ha there is no way she would survive the fall.' She smirked viciously. Moriel's work had paid off. It was finished! Ivoriel was finished.

...

Gwaenor after another unsuccessful search in the forest marched to the throne room Halls where Thranduil sat restlessly on his throne. He walked up the stairs, instantly Thranduil straightened. Gwaenor bowed.

"My lord." Gwaenor greeted graciously. He remained bowed until the king spoke.

"Did you find anything?" Thranduil asked serenely. Gwaenor thought he seemed a little too composed. Of course he knew of his little sister's relationship with him. Confusing as it was.

"No, we did not. " Gwaenor replied miserably, noting the king bowed his head slightly in sorrow.

"We think that she may possible still be here somewhere, my lord." Gwaenor continued. His voice help a helpless note to it that Thranduil didn't miss. Well he was never going to give up.

"I want every room and level searched before nightfall!" Thranduil said to Gwaenor, he nodded once.

"My lord, I may have an idea of who it is." Gwaenor stated, Thranduil's ears perked curiously. He looked questioningly at the young ellon before him. Thranduil slightly raised an eyebrow. His lips twitched amusedly at Gwaenor as the tips of his ears turned pink.

"And who do you suspect?" Thranduil questioned seriously.

"Well… Ivoriel's maid. She is the only one other than my family that has access to our quarters and she may know about the passages, sire." Gwaenor said. 'I have access…' Thranduil thought but he wasn't going to tell this young ellon that. In fact Thranduil had access to all rooms in this realm as he was king!

"That is plausible. I had almost forgotten about the old passages. She will be questioned about it. Perhaps you could bring her to me." Thranduil said intensely. Gwaenor bowed once more.

"Yes, my lord. I will do so immediately." Gwaenor said taking his leave.

Thranduil instructed a number of other guards to search the hidden passages after Gwaenor departed.

Thranduil couldn't sit still so he left and made his way back to his chambers, thinking that a glass or two of wine would help. But he would have to return soon.

Moriel stepped lightly up the small staircase and stood in front of the dais in the throne room. Where Thranduil sat comfortably, lazily almost. She could feel her heart speed up. 'He looks magnificent!' she thought while conspicuously marvelling him.

It was then that she realised that he was looking down on her. Down his perfect nose. And she realised that this was not a social call. This angered her, Thranduil saw it flicker in her eyes momentarily and knew that Gwaenor's suspicion was correctly placed. Such a talent could be useful in a higher position.

Thranduil step down of the dais and slowly began to circle her like she were his prey and he the predator. But if only he knew how much she enjoyed this simple action. How his presence alone made her heart race in anticipation. So much that she almost forgot to show her respect.

"It has been brought to my attention that you have had something to do with the disappearance with one of my subjects…" Thranduil said his words heavily implied that she was the one who did the atrocious endeavour.

"I do not know of what you mean, my lord." Moriel replied timidly. Of course Thranduil could see through this lie that so easily fell from her lips.

"I myself suspect that you are lying and as it seems I am not the only one who has assumed as much. If you are not willingly to speak truthfully you will be punished." Thranduil spoke directly to her. His piercing eyes seeing the lie that she clearly flaunted. Now that he plainly saw her, he knew she was not a part of his people. Through her eyes he searched.

"I know nothing of what you speak my lord." Moriel simpered, as that same glint shown in her eyes. Thranduil was unsatisfied with her answer but what he saw was answer enough. Jealousy.

"Oh without a doubt it was you. But there is a motive, what were you hoping to achieve." He asked, not entirely expecting a satisfactory answer. She almost flinched under his harsh gaze. Never had she dreamed that he would look at her like that.

"Nothing sire. There is nothing to achieve." She replied. Her mask was slowly forming cracks.

"Oh but there is. I see it in your eyes… I understand that." He said, she looked up at him in disbelieving shock. Moriel refused to reply. If she did she may let something slip.

"But you do not understand. Ivoriel was a mere obstacle to overcome." She snapped now annoyed. So easy to wire up, Thranduil thought. She knew exactly what he was talking about, this was as good as any confession.

"So you admit it then." he asked, either way she was going to end up in the dungeon for the way she spoke. It was out of place. She huffed and refused to answer.

"Where is she?" he continued to question impatiently.

"Dead. She jumped into the waterfall." She said with a small amount of satisfaction.

"But I did it all for you!" she said proudly. As her words seeped in it became too much for Thranduil. Dead! It couldn't possibly be. The guards near their king acknowledged his distress and took Moriel away. She never went quietly.

Galion watched Thranduil closely. After so many years serving him he could tell when he was angry or upset. He didn't know how much the missing Elleth meant to him but clearly it was a lot. Galion hoped they found Ivoriel soon, as he doubted very much that the king could take another loss so close to his heart again.

Galion had been sent to get another bottle of wine. This was the fifth bottle already! He thought exasperatedly while walking down to the cellar of the king in the lowest part of the caves. It was a fair walk but one he rather enjoyed. It gave him something to do. Oh how he missed the time when the son of the king was an elfling. He had hoped to see more little ones but it was not to be.

'Perhaps, there is a possible chance of it happening. Thranduil seems quite entranced with her…' he thought inspecting a bottle. Galion test tasted it, the wine seemed as fine as any.

He heard a splashing noise from somewhere, but thought little of it. He grabbed the bottle and headed up the stairs, except as he glanced over into the water of the pond like area he could see a flare of pure silver. It appeared to almost be white underneath the water. He realised it was someone's hair. He put the bottle down and jumped down into the moving water. He was waist deep as he moved towards the person.

He realised it was a young Elleth. He pulled her up by the shoulders her pulse was beating rapidly and she gasped in air desperately. He immediately recognised her. As she wore the necklace he had delivered to her himself. Ivoriel.

Review! Review! I stayed up late to finish this chapter so I can't really see if it's good or not. But I would very much like to know your thoughts? I am so very tired and this may be the last chapter for a few days but I will keep writing!

Until next time guys! I am so ready to pass out
