Kaeda never watched a horror movie once in her life. She had no survival strategies to surviving one. She ran straight, no adrenaline giving her unrealistic and unstop speed, didn't even try to jump sideways off the path, and she didn't carry a gun like those teenagers who stole them from their parents cabinet. Other than being the second greatest samurai female with long hair and a sword that could never break she had no way of fighting the serial killer slash monster of the horror movies which was the demon Havoc.
" By the honey suckle of my teat and the sword of my sweet father, I will block the road. A Thousand Cherry Blossom Flurry!"
Kaeda used a move that would be in an anime or a poorly written comic book where the characters announce their attacks. The reflection in her blade turned blue when she slowly unsheathed her sword and slashed her sword through the trees. When her blade went through the wood the trees collapsed on the road. Kaeda thought that would stop him long enough for her to grab Ian and take him somewhere safe—there was no place safer than a cabin in the woods…how was she going to find a place safer and more lonely than a cabin? Kaeda lost track of her thinking when the trees were pushed away by a big tank. The tank was really Havoc and his strength was really his blades.
"If I was wearing jeans and not this samurai dress I could make it to the cabin faster," Kaeda thought sweating from the intensity of the chase. " But these clothes are in my genes…I wore different sizes of them all my life because swordsman never wear jeans. Is he going to kill me? No, he would have caught me by now if he wanted me. He must just be following me so he can get to Ian. That gives me an idea."
Kaeda did what people who are usually afraid to do or too stupid to do when trying to outrun a train. She jumped sideways and ran through the forest. Everyone knows you cannot outrun a train. Unless you were in a narrow tunnel with no were too jump to, jump off the railroad! (wait…what am I doing? Oh yeah, chase scene. And…"
Kaeda jumped to the highest branch in a tree and sliced it off. The branch was brittle, easy to snap in her hands and easy to crumble. Havoc was right behind her. He was about to be tangled in something he couldn't stop. Kaeda used the twigs, like shrapnel that got caught in something's face and arm in moves, and blew it in his face. The twigs almost punctured his eyes.
" Shit, shit, shit, shit!" He shouted before covering his face with his hands, the twigs bounced harmlessly off his hands. " Nice try, samurai girl…" Havoc was talking to himself—embarrassing and bad for him. There was three paths of footprints where anyone of them could be hers. "Shit."

Kaeda made it to the cabin and made it before Havoc realized where she went. She pushed the door open and ran to Ian's room…she couldn't sustain herself when she saw him. His injury was miraculously healed and no longer showing anywhere on his body. Kaeda had a small nosebleed. Ian was not only awake but he was working out. His perfect muscles were doing push ups on the mahogany floors and his face was red with sweat.
Kaeda forgot why she was in the room. She wondered if there was a ladder anywhere. She always wanted to go on a ladder and watch someone workout. But why would she even need a ladder when she was in a first floor cabin?
" Ian!" She spoke out loud remembering why she was here to begin with. Ian stood up and wiped his sweaty body with a towel. Seeing those sweaty muscles and how big they were Kaeda forgot what she was doing again. Then like a wild cougar in the mountains she jumped at him and grabbed him. "Muscles make a girl go crazy!"
Ian threw her over his shoulder and she landed on the futon. He put his shirt back on. " What were you trying to tell me, Kaeda?"
" I was trying to tell you something?" Kaeda said as if that message perplexed her. " I remember it being something about...crap!"
Something big rammed through the wall and stampede through the cabin. Ian put his hand on his head and then he spun around. Whatever made the mess he didn't see. Kaeda was watching but it was so fast she barely saw it or him. What she did see was Havoc in the house with mud on his fingers.
" You are a clever girl," he said rubbing the dirt off his fingers. "You covered your tracks better than I ever covered mine. But I wasn't being honest with you from the start. I brought a friend."
Kaeda and Ian heard a loud noise coming from the walls of the cabin. Someone had broken through the walls. They didn't even bother to use the front door. It strutted in the room with four hooves on its leg. A horse? It didn't look like a horse. It had black mammal fur and reptile skin on its black body. Two big white wings were flapping out. Havoc rubbed the beasts head.
" A Pegasus?!" Ian shouted seeing Havoc's pet.
" Did you think a Pegasus came from the innocence of people? It Is a fiction because no one wants to realize their favorite animals are bad ones."
Havoc whistled to the Pegasus. It followed Havoc's sound and ran out through the wall. Havoc motioned for Ian and Kaeda to look out the wall. They were hesitant because of Havoc's motive to kill them. However, he dropped his weapons and backed away from them with his hands raised. They looked, the Pegasus was doing loops in the air followed by spinning.
" Nice tricks," Ian murmured. " What does this have to do with—"
" Wait for it."
The Pegasus continued doing tricks until it burst into flames. The Pegasus stopped doing tricks, somehow it was floating in the air without the use of its wings, and it charged towards Ian and Kaeda's cottage! But it flew down and dived into the ground. It exploded in the woods causing birds to fly away. It strode up to Ian and Kaeda in bronze armor.
" Havoc!" Kaeda unsheathed her sword and pointed it at Havoc's neck. Even though all her earlier attempts ended with Havoc recovering, she had a good feeling about this one. " You underground devil subordinate! My weapon will cut you!"
" You are wrong about both things," Havoc said with an undisturbed expression. "The first is I come from the sky where you believe angels fly and some bearded man hurls lightning bolts. Second, you have no weapon."
Kaeda raised her sword to finish Havoc but felt heat only experienced when holding a poker dipped in fire. She screamed in pain before dropping her sword. Havoc bested her easily. He put a small finger on her head and pushed her away. Ian raised his fists to his face like the boxer he was.
" Shall we play, Ian?"
