Daisuke was in a dark place. A place that was big and cold. A person could go mad staying in this place. It was fortunate for Daisuke there was a movie theater in this place. However, the show was something he didn't want to see and he was stuck to the chair by iron restraints around his hands. The movie he was forced to watch was a memory video of Daisuke with his cousin Ian.

In the first memory Daisuke and Ian were sitting by a table with Risako cooking dinner on the stove. While Ian was drawing faces for his own manga characters Daisuke was rubbing two electric wires together to get an electric charge.

" Do you know about positive and negative reinforcement, Ian?" Daisuke asked rubbing his wires together. " It's where kids like us change our behaviors by knowing we'll get a reward for doing as we're told or we'll be punished if we don't do the right thing. I want to negative reinforce some kids. I want to zap them, not so much as it does tissue damage to the brain, but just so it teaches them a lesson."

" You shouldn't be zapping people just because they keep sitting in your chair for lunch break, Daisuke," Ian said erasing the hair on his manga character and drawing over again.

" Well I just can't let them keep using my chair whenever they want to. It's torture to let them keep using my seat. Torture."

Ian didn't know what Daisuke was going to do so he changed the subject. " Risako, when is mom, dad, and Aunt Kanako going to come back?"

" Tomorrow," she said scrambling the eggs for Ian and Daisuke's breakfast. " It's going to be at night when they come back. They said they'll call home two times today." Risako carried the frying pan with scrambled eggs in it to Ian and Daisuke. She put the eggs on their plates. " You two eat your breakfast and then we can go to the shrine."

" Eggs? Food for the advocates. It is for the people who need their protein. It has almost as protein in it as a full chicken. Some believe eating enough chickens will do damage to your colon. I want a boiled egg, not scrambled."

" If you wanted the egg to be boiled why didn't you say anything?" Ian asked.

" It's not the eggs I'm looking at. It's the texture, heat, and smoothness of the scrambled eggs. By guessing the right temperature and texture I can make a device that can make scrambled eggs in seconds."

" You're always coming up with some strange and crazy ideas, Daisuke," Risako smiled petting Daisuke's head. Daisuke didn't like it when people treated him like a kid. He thought of himself as someone above children. Then Risako slid a boiled egg on a red egg cup. "Enjoy."

Daisuke didn't have a knife on his table. He was given a knife from Risako. She was always so nice and caring about him. Sometimes Daisuke thought Risako was his sister. She was his real cousin. A cousin he would leave his lab for just to spend the littlest amount of time with.

" Ian." Risako put a glass down for Ian and poured milk in his cup. No one ever poured milk in Daisuke's glass. It was kind of the thing he wanted. A person who really looked out for him better than his mother did.

After finishing breakfast Risako took them to the shrine like she told them. They walked up the hill holding her hands. Ian was smiling but Daisuke couldn't stand the tribulation of the outside world. He couldn't stand the smell of burned gasoline from trucks and motorcycles spooling hazardous gas. He couldn't stand the dog parks where animals were meant to run around freely and then lick themselves whenever they please. And he couldn't stand how his genius was forced to partake in tedious activities parents give their children as a fear their getting too fat. If anyone was to tell Daisuke to leave the house he would tell them the air is more hazardous outside than inside, there's a one in twenty chance something bad is going to happen when you go outside, and Japan is the most boring place in the world. However, Daisuke's small body was no match for Risako's wisdom. She tricked him to go—if he goes he would let him stay up until noon to work on his Hydrosomelessphoetonicscrappter. It mixes bacteria in water with hydrogen and alcohol to create a new kind of combustible material that works only for his Rocket Fist Dynamite Drill.

Risako and Ian threw away all their Christmas and New Year's money into the wishing box. Pitiful fools. They have no idea wishes never come true. It was like believing in God…once you rip that Band-Aid you can finally do whatever you want with your life.

" Aren't you going to make a wish to the shrine?" Risako asked him.

" You are getting the wrong idea about the wishing aspect," Daisuke said crossing his arms. "People only come to this place to help them pass final exams and get the courage to confess to a girl they like. If you want me to get knocked in this insanity called wishing you better have some legitimate proof it works and isn't a scam where people spend all their money or I'll bet my bottom dollar your just a bunch of suckers."

" Wow Daisuke…" Risako looked at her hand and wondered what to say. Daisuke was a difficult child to raise. He was sorta like his mother. If you asked him he would tell you his Retinaphotoroomnaco could show you a person's memories like an MRI scan of the brain and show you all their memories, and then you would see he's nothing like his mother. "Can you just set aside all that science for one day and have fun."

" Tables have turned. Ian's sister tells me to do something and I do it. Well I'm the person who didn't do it. It was a real treat coming here instead of saving mankind…I mean it. Mankind is already dooming due to events that may not be from the movies but from an unprepared catastrophic event like the moon falling on us or animals evolving enough to take control of civilization."

" Daisuke…not everyone thinks like you. Your just sounding a little paranoid. Sometimes you just have to think about other people."

" Do you EVEN read my blueprints! Instant Vegetables. Alternative Power. Malleable Dams. And if you want your wishes to really come true you have to have one thing in life: money. Money is what you need. So far you have been spending all of it on nothing."

" Doesn't it say in one of your books that a happy friendly is the best thing to have?"

" Well scientifically that would be a stupid book."

Daisuke in the present felt his eyelids tingling and almost crying. He remembered how the rest of the day went. Risako said something that made him feel guilty which was weird because Daisuke never felt guilt once in his life. After that they went for ice cream. Vanilla was what he picked, Risako got cherry and Ian had chocolate. They licked their ice cream and then Daisuke dropped his ice cream and ran back into the shrine. His 8,000 yen were dropped in the box and he went back.

Daisuke in present time started to feel like crying. Needless to say he was crying. From his left eye tears sprang out and dripped down his cheek and in the other eye it was red like an allergic reaction. His sadness was interrupted by a familiar mocking voice.

" Are you actually crying? Daisuke Urashima is crying over this?" Lucifer appeared behind Daisuke and walked around him. The side of him that was demon, his black hand with purple eyes were touching his face. Daisuke stopped crying and seethed through his teeth when he told Lucifer…

" No…I'm just allergic to dumb side shows. What the hell were you looking at my past for anyways?"

" You have something we need and I'm not leaving until you give it back to us. It's locked away in your computer. We have demons trying to hack into your computer but you seem to have it…protected."

" No way!" Daisuke laughed in Lucifer's face. " You mean to tell me in a vacant room with no holy water, no pure metal, and no crucifix's the army of the underworld can't even open a password protected computer? I can open fifty people's computers in half a day and you can't even open one. How stupid are you? It's like the easiest password in the world."

" Are you done?" Lucifer said emotionlessly, but one of his eyebrows twitched.

" Yeah."

" Good. It's true we can't open your computer—"

" Too bad, sucker!"

" But…that's why we have you. Somewhere in your cerebral cortex is the password for N4X7 otherwise known as the Demon Rift. With the Demon Rift all people of hell can escape and destroy the world."

" Yeah…see…I have a question. It seems that your men already have the capabilities of escaping from hell so why would you need a Demon Rift?"

" You're the genius. You try to tell me why it would be needed."

" I know every two hundred years when a person's family is killed they are taken out of hell and put into a country where they'll never get back to their families and end up dying all over again. I know that people over fifty who are still virgins get a pass into heaven no matter how many people they kill. If what I know is correct the doorway to Earth is the size of a wormhole and that it shrinks every time someone goes through. Four at most can leave the portal a day. Also, your ladder to hell can be climbed up and not down because hell is a trip you go to not leave from. If I climbed down the ladder it would send me back to Hell."

" Too bad you didn't tell your friends how the ladder can only take people up and not down. Oh but unlike you they've managed to escape not only their prisons but also Hell. They were so close to being the first human-beings ever to escape death. But what's this...?"

Daisuke looked at the slideshow. He saw wings and claws and a face that was cute and hard to admit was evil. It was him. Daisuke Urashima flying through the air carrying three people: Gero, Ichigo, and some green reptilian girl with smooth green skin instead of scales and a perfect ass. Where does Ichigo find these girls? Anyways, the Daisuke look-alike was carrying them back to Hell.

" They think it's you carrying them to Hell but really it's me. You lost against me. Don't feel too bad. I'm the embodiment of good and evil, two halves showing the evil in the faces of humans and the purity of the uncorrupt. The only person strong enough to defeat me is Satan himself. But you…your just a half-demon, half-yokai, half-breed, and they are humans. Soon all of you will be dead."

Lucifer expected lots of things to happen to Daisuke right about now. He expected Daisuke to cry like a girl when his friends were taken from him. He expected him to beg for their safety. Maybe even try to bribe him with the password to his computer—he really wanted the password to his computer. Daisuke smiled and laughed.

" You…You dumb demon…You haven't figured it out yet. I wanted them to come with me. One of them has the power to take you down. I'll soon be free from here."

" What are you talking about? Do tell."

" I'll never tell you that one of them has given a mark when they were young that makes them practically invincible to demons. Wait, I did tell you." Daisuke smirked at the antagonized face of Lucifer. For a demon who always acted so smug he seemed to be scared now. " By now he's realized his powers; after all Hell unlocked his powers. You see I never cared about your crystals, or your world, or even Satan. This was all to unravel the mysteries of Ian's long-time friend."
