"no. no. ugh." Adam resisted the urge to throw his computer on the floor.

"Something wrong?" Brittany dropped the file she was carrying into the tray.

"I downloaded Skype last night so Jordi and I could video chat and it's not working."

"Was it working last night?"

"I didn't actually try a chat last night, I just set up the account."

"You sure you have the password right?"

"Yes. I've tired it 20 times it just keeps saying 'connection error' over and over."

"uh, Adam."

"What?"

"You forgot to connect to the wifi."

Adam laughed. "Please don't tell anyone."

"On my life."

Adam quickly connected the computer and typed his password.

"Dang it. He's not online. He probably thinks I forgot. Gave up."

"I'm sure he doesn't — ooo he's online." Brittany squealed.

"What are you two wasting time on?" Jackson rolled her eyes.

"Skyping with Jordi." Brittany retorted.

"Hey Jordi."

"Hey. Sorry I'm late."

"No worries. Brittany and Jackson are here."

"Hey Jordi." Brittany waved. "You look good."

"Thanks." Jordi blushed.

"How's your physical therapy going?"

"It's good, Nurse Jackson."

"Good?"

"it hurts. But not that much."

"mmmm. You two have your fun. Some of us have work to do."

"Bye Jordi." Brittany waved at him.

"Same old, same old huh?" Jordi laughed.

"Kind of."

"How is everyone?"

"Good. They should be back from class soon."

"Cool."

"I did have some news I was saving."

"Yeah, what?"

"I'm going to be a father."

"What? That's awesome."

"I'm still not used to the idea."

"You'll be a great dad."

"I hope so." Adam grinned. "So what's going on with you? Write any more song? Get yourself a girlfriend?"

"Couple of songs. No girlfriend."

"Nothing else?"

"Well"

Adam sat back listening to Jordi's recounting. It wasn't long before the other children were crowded around, chatting excitedly.
