There you go guys! Classes have been hectic but I've managed to pump out a chapter for you. I have some more time so I will be writing at least another chapter for you guys. I've been taking a creative writing class and they don't allow stories that I've started already. We have to do new stories. So I couldn't write for this. All of my creativity has to be put into the class. Hopefully I will be able to update more often now that the class is lessening up! I hope you guys are still hanging around! I hope to finish this story soon and more secrets will be revealed VERY soon!
Alli's POV
"Alli. Mom and Dad don't want us out too late." Sav stated.
"Just one more street. I promise." I replied.
"Alli." Sav warned.
"I promise. Jeesh, Dad. It's not like I am trying to get you to let me go to some party. I am trying to hang up flyers for Clare." I teased. I recognized that I even sounded a little like myself; you know, when I wasn't crying. Only I noticed that my voice cracked when I said Clare's name.
"I'm sorry Alli. I know how hard this is for you. I miss Clare too." Sav stated, pulling me into a hug.
"I know Sav." I sighed, going back to hanging up flyers.
"Are Darcy and Jake in town yet?" Sav asked.
"Jake is. He got in a couple days ago. He was only over the border; a couple hours away. Clare's parents just didn't get ahold of him soon enough. He was working around the clock on a construction site and didn't have his phone on him. Darcy gets in tomorrow. She should already be on her way by now. It's just a matter of travel time." I replied, putting a flyer up.
"Alright. Well Mom and Dad will kill us if we don't get home soon, so give me some flyers." Sav grumbled. I handed some to him silently, and he continued. "Don't leave my sight. I'll just be down at the other side of the street. We'll finish faster that way."
"Fine. Whatever." I waved him off, and he jogged away to start working. I was about half way done with the street when someone tapped my shoulder.
"Alli?" The guy asked. I turned and noticed it was K.C. I stepped back away from him, before speaking.
"What do you want K.C.?" I asked curtly.
"Come on. How can you still hate me?" He asked.
"Oh. I don't know, maybe because you hurt my best friend?" I suggested.
"Seriously? Are you still going to hang that over my head?" He asked exasperated. "It's been years. I've changed."
"It's been two." I snarled. A van pulled up behind us, and K.C.'s demeanor changed. The next thing I know, three other guys surround me, as K.C. puts me in a chokehold.
"Alli?" Sav asked frantic, coming from the other side of the street.
"Shoot him. He knows too much." K.C. stated.
"What?" I cried out.
"Shut the fuck up." K.C. growled in my ear. "Or you're next."
"Sav! Run!" I cried as he came into view. Before he had time to acknowledge anything, a gun was pulled and fired. The bullet lodged into his chest, and he collapsed. His eyes rolled back into his head, before K.C.'s voice distracted me from Sav's body.
"If you tell anyone that I am involved, you will be dead before you get the chance to finish your sentence." K.C. growled into my ear again, before bringing a cloth over my nose and mouth. Darkness overtook me before I made it into the van.
