It was another day of school. Gero who was a student trying to get into Tokyo U much like Ian was disheartened to be in school without his friend Ian sitting in his seat. Gero didn't know Ian wouldn't be at school. He just thought Ian was playing some kind of joke on him and he predicted Ian would just show up saying "I fooled you". There was however no sign of Ian anywhere in the classroom, and for all of the teachers announcements still no sign of him.

' It just isn't the same school without Ian.' Gero thought rubbing his nails against his thumb until it turned red and then he rubbed his other finger.

Gero hoped Ian was in good health, but the last time he saw him he was stabbed by Kaeda and taken away. Then Lucifer summoned Kaeda who was taking care of Ian. Gero found it difficult to go through the day without talking to his best friend. He was unhappy.

" Hi Gero."

Gero looked up to see who was talking to him. It was his second best friend Kana. Kana had that bully-me smile on his face and he still carried a backpack even though most kids his age carried a small bag to carry homework, pencils, and lunch inside. Gero smiled like a shark trying to look happy. Kana smiled like a squirrel.

" Have you seen Ian? I haven't seen him in over three days."

" I don't know where Ian is. I wish I did know where he was so I can find him but so far nothing has come up."

" Yeah…It's just not the same without him, you know."

Kana was right. Without him they were just two friends instead of three. They couldn't have any adventures with only two people. Gero was the funny one, Kana was the kind wimpy guy who followed them anywhere because they were his friends, and Ian was the tough but also brainy one who made sure Gero and Kana never got picked on bullies and helped them for their next tests.

" You're never going to believe what's happening to me tonight." Kana said, a wide smile appeared on his face.

" Unless it involves basketball I don't really care." Gero sighed. Without Ian he couldn't have any manly conversations. He'd rather be grazed by a bullet instead of listen to Kana's cheerful voice, but boy did he love having the guy around.

" You know my girlfriend Sanae?"

" I know she's a masculine girl who completely hates me."

" Well she and I are going on a very important date. She is taking me to a restaurant that treats all days like Valentine's Day."

" Good because we still haven't gone through a Christmas special, and the fans would hate us if we skip to some bull crap Valentine's Day special."

" I'm going to pretend you didn't break the fourth wall."

Gero snickered. He's been waiting for over a week to do that. It would be funnier if Ian was here to punch him before he did break the fourth wall. That just made it sadder how Ian couldn't be here to hear it. Gero had a great idea.

" Speaking of Valentine's day…I remember that summer vacation I had."

Flashback:

Gero was on a beach party in a beach house resort. Inside the house girls from around the world were dancing in nothing but bras and panties of every color. There were a few boys in the beach house, but the ratio of females to boys outweighed them one to one hundred. Gero was sitting on a big chair that looked like his throne as he was caressed from the hair to his arms by eight beautiful women.

" Yo Gero, excellent party." A boy holding a bottle of gin said with a happy drunk smile.

" Where did you get all the girls?" Another boy asked.

" When you have a fanbase like me…you can get any girl in the world."

The two boys stepped out of the way for a pretty blond girl holding a glass of sparkly champagne handed it to Gero. Gero took the glass from her. He was about to drink it when someone showed up—his girlfriend Mitsuni.

" Hey there, sugar." Mitsuni said. A glass of champagne magically appeared in her hand. "Care for another glass."

" Mitsuni! You aren't in this flashback!"

" Don't act like you don't know, sugar. Everyone knows you've never been on an island with all these girls."

Before Gero could say another word the scene of pretty girls started swirling. The image of the boys and girls were mosaic like in TV when a face was censored. Gero screamed but his voice was not heard.

Real Flashback:

Gero was sleeping on the couch because his mother invited a man into their house. Flecks of old concrete fell down because the man she was with was on the bottom. The flecks reminded Gero of dandruff.

" That's right. Put it deeper inside me!" Gero's mother screamed. It was a happy scream, one she hasn't felt in a long time.

What about your son? Can't he hear us?"

" Don't worry. That dumb son of mine is probably already asleep from all the sugar I gave him."

"God dammit mother. Kids aren't supposed to hear this."

Flashback End: '

That flashback sequence was inappropriate. It reminded Gero how he had a very unhappy childhood. 'I'm getting really sick of how the author keeps messing around with my life.'

Gero's anger left him quiet. Kana who was still next to him was blinking in confusion at how quiet Gero was being around him. Gero looked at Kana, gasped. He saw something that made ghastly looking ghosts look like clown dolls. Mitsuni was standing next to Kana.

" WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?!"

" I've been here the whole time, Gero." Kana said. Gero was acting weird around him.

" I'm not really your older and wiser girlfriend, sugar." The Mitsuni before his eyes said closing her left eye and sticking her tongue out at him. " I'm your imagination going wild from all the crazy adventures that have been happening."

" You're talking about me going to hell and meeting the devil right?"

" Are you okay, Gero? You sound like you have schizophrenia." Kana said. Kana didn't go on the last adventure like Gero so he didn't see the crazy things that happened to him.

" Huh?" Gero said returning to reality and acting like everything was normal. " You're still here, Kana?"

" Yeah. Listen, I have karate lessons today but I can't make it on account of my date with Sanae."

"You take karate lessons?" That surprised Gero. He always thought of Kana as the wimpy member.

" Yeah…I started after confessing to Sanae. She got mad and punched me really hard in the face. I doubled over, but I got back and she blushed saying 'I guess it wouldn't be so bad'. After that I wanted to get stronger than her so I could one day be someone she can rely on."

"Dude, if you've seen the women in the Hinata House you would forget about this whole 'karate' and try getting something like super powers because the girls there are so badass it's like walking into a super villain convention."

Gero wasn't wrong. The girls in the Hinata House already took care of a mafia building and even demons. Rina could summon animals, Kaeda was almost unmatched with a sword, and Foxy could cover her fists in fire and never burn herself. It seemed girls were being the new tough guys of the world.

" Will you still cover for me at my work place."

Gero smirked. Gero was doing this for himself. He was going to help Kana and himself. Ian was not the only student who knows how to kick butt and study all day. " I don't feel like studying so I'm reared up to do some karate. It will be riveting."
