Returning from the karate/soccer match from "Terminator maid" Gero returned to his rather nice room and had just hit the bed to catch some sleep until a buzzing noise came from his pants pocket.
Grumbling about who could be calling he pulled out his cell and clicked talk without even checking who it was. "Hello...?"
A mature Osaka-styled accent came from the other end of the line, (think of the Osaka accent like a Southern accent you hear). "Is this Gero?"
" Yup. Is this Mitsuni?"
The former resident of the Hinata apartments, Mitsune "Kitsune" Konno and Gero's current lover for sexual experience.
Her accent ringing in his ears, she replied back with some hesitation in her voice. "Yeah sugar...look. Gero, there's something I have to tell you."
"You're breaking up with me, aren't ya?" He cut to the heart of the matter which Mitsune was surprised with. "I kind of realized that when you didn't call me for-" He couldn't finish as Mitsune interrupted his sentence.
"I'm dating someone!" She blurted with excitement before remembering this was supposed to be a breakup call. Gero felt like his heart was ripped out! "What?"
Gero tried gathering his thoughts for a moment before speaking. "I knew our relationship was nothing serious but I thought we were dating." He actually got a little emotional.
The cougar could tell when her "baby boy" wasn't taking it well. "Are you upset with me, honey?"
"Gero gave a sigh before continuing talking. "Not really. Maybe I'm a little upset you were seeing someone, but it's like I said...we weren't dating seriously...'Even though I thought we were!'"
"He's a good man who gets me in a way that you don't, Gero. Sorry if I'm sounding mean but I just have to be honest with ya. Who knows he might even be my husband."
Hearing the word "husband" gave Gero an uneasy feeling. if circumstances were different he'd be the one to pop the question but alas he was still a student and unfortunately a "boy toy" to coin the phrase from Madonna back in the day of her "Like a Virgin" days.
"That's good to hear though, if this dude makes you happy! You deserve to have a husband and who knows; down the line you might have a kids making you a mother?"
Mitsune smiled at the other end of the line even though Gero couldn't see her, he could always tell when she smiled. "It may hurt for me to leave you now sugar but the time we spent together was the greatest I ever had. You're a good man." The Kitsune meant every word.
"Yeah...I guess I am." 'Even though I still...'
"Good-bye Gero." Mitsune "Kitsune" Konno stated being her last words to the one that opened her heart to love.

In the Kou dinning room Gero arrived looking depressed and unmotivated. Slipping to the table he drank a cup of water.
Akagi was there and wondered what was wrong with him. Coughing a little to interrupt his "emo theme" she spoke.
"Hmph, aren't you going to ask what's for dinner like the freeloading guest you are?"
He didn't speak for a minute and Akagi said her question again which he responded. "I'm not in the mood, all right? A girl left me today."
"It was that stripper of yours?" She replied stoically which he didn't even respond to. 'He looks so dead. He's like a sad puppy.' The maid thought with concern getting a gander at the type of body language Gero was giving off. 'Against all my warnings, I must make sure he has something to cheer him up. And since I'm already in a maid uniform; it won't work on him.'
Akagi the maid of Kou soon spoke about the dinner menu. "I'm preparing my masters favorite dish; carrots, cabbage, potatoes, and ham."
Gero could care less about the Kou families Southern dishes but he gave (or tried) giving an upbeat reply. "Sounds good; when will it be ready?"
The pink pigtailed maid looked at him as if Gero grew another head. "I said it was the master's favorite meal. I never said it was for you."
A growl came from the stomach that was denied food; sounded like a dead frog. "Then what the hell am I suppose to eat?" He held his stomach.
She thought what she should give the "mongrel" before having an idea. She soon returned with as Gero continued drinking water to calm his growling stomach.
She sat the dish down with a click. "Carrot soup with a little bit of tomatoes in it. Enjoy."
'She didn't even say Bon apatite!' He snarked in his head before noticing something "This soup isn't even warm!"
Two blinks from Akagi. "Fool, that's leftover soup. You know something to put in the microwave and warm up!"
Grumbling at the bitch maid, Gero waltzed towards kitchen and popped in the dish. "I can't read any of these buttons. What language is this microwave from?" He griped.
Akagi answered. "The language is Russian, mongrel. Before getting married into the Kou house Taichi's father had to learn ten different languages. Russian was his favorite, but they have a different alphabet than Tokyo. We have a microwave in China but I don't think you can read Chinese."
Hearing that made Gero's brain hurt and ran a hand through his hair in frustration. "Where's a microwave with real numbers?"
He soon noted Akagi's sly smile. "This is all a game too you."
Chuckling like a duchess at a party, Akagi spoke. "Yes, this is a microwave with actual numbers...it just has a fake Russian pad."
He looked at her with annoyance. "Do you hate me that much you want me to starve?"
This perplexed the maid greatly. "I was cheering you up. In the Kou house we do not allow people to feel sad."
Gero gave a snort before yelling. "So what it would be better if I was angry instead?!"
"I was going to give you what the master eats but if you're going to yell at me you'll get nothing but the soup." She stated in a matter-of-fact tone.
Gero once again ran a hand through his hair before stating, "I want you to come closer and talk to me. And I want you to use real feeling, not talk to me like your some kind of robot!"
The maid closed her eyes as she turned her head. "Yelling is not allowed in the-" She also blushed a little.
"Are you-" He began before stopping.
'She's really cute when she's not yelling at me. Would it be cool if I kissed her?'
Gero closed the distance and brought his face to kiss her cute lips! This surprised Akagi and moments later...
The maid couldn't believe this happened and she soon started rambling. "Get off of me, how dare you? This me tripping and you falling on top of me gazing into my eye only happens in one of those harem manga's! You set this whole thing up."
Gero rubbed his head before giving a kind of wolfish smile and asked innocently, "How did I set this up?"
"You sprayed soup on the floor so I would slip and then you pretended to fall so you would land on me. I know about your trickery and it isn't going to work on me! Nope, not on me!"
The skater explained the circumstances that went down in those few "lost" moments that weren't typed down.
"I sprayed the soup because you didn't bother to heat it for twenty seconds, you fell because you wear those high heels in the house, and I feel because I was rushing to save you and forgot there was a chair in my way...okay the last part sounds like I made it up, but whatever happened it happened because you weren't being a good maid."
This flustered the maid greatly because that's how it went down! Why couldn't God (the editor) give her a chance?
She gave another blush which Gero found cute. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" he tried to help her up but Akagi slapped his hand away.
"Don't touch me and don't talk to me." She spoke in a cold voice.
"Then how are you suppose to teach me how to do karate and how to play-"
Akagi didn't give him the time of day. "For this day you will avoid me and I will avoid you. You can not be trusted." To emphasize she gave a cross of her arms. It seems Akagi has a hidden tsundere side?
'She's cute but everything she says is very harsh.'
"I'm going to Taichi's room to bring him down for dinner. Learn that I do this because he's my master but if you don't come down when I call for you...you won't get any dinner."
She soon went about her maid duty leaving Gero to wonder more on the "tsundere" maid of Kou.
###
"Taichi, it's dinner time. Come downstairs!" She called the white haired, scrawny teen. Soon Taichi opened the door to the room. "I know you are worried about getting a high mark in your exams but not eating will only slow down your learning."
Taichi only gave a nod.
"I know it's against the will of a worker to walk into their masters room without permission, but I'm worried about you."
Taichi wasn't his normal "kid" like self as he looked depressed.
"Master..." she whispered.
She soon saw that Taichi didn't just look depressed, he looked tired before collapsing! She immediately rushed to him and checked his pulse.
'My poor master. You worked yourself too hard; forgive me but I need to take you to a hospital.' she thought before picking him up and taking him to said place.
Gero heard the commotion and he appeared shocked. "Taichi!"
He turned to wonder maid. "Where are you taking him?"
"I'm going to the hospital. Master is passed out because he worked himself too hard...I want to be sure he's still healthy."
"I'm coming with you." Gero said.
The pink haired maid shook her head. "No you're not. This is a job for Taichi's parents, friends, and loyal workers and you are neither of them."
This made Gero a little angry and spoke heatedly. "You need someone who can help carry him into the hospital and I know you got that 'Wonder maid' thing working for you but..."
Akagi got stubborn. "I can do that on my own. I don't need help from the ruffian!"
Gero soon had an idea. "I might steal something if I'm left alone."
The maid dismissed that claim easily. "Unlikely. The Kou house has the best security and if it wasn't for my master's poor state I would gladly show you."
It didn't look like Gero would move before she yelled. "Go away. I find you very infuriating!"
Ignoring the command Gero said, "I don't trust you can do this on your own. Let me help you."
She gave an unsympathetic laugh. "What can you possibly do?"
"For one thing it's easier for two people to carry a person than one. You can grab his legs and I'll grab his arms." He made a movement to grab the unconscious teen's legs.
Akagi appeared confused before grabbing Taichi's arms. "Why would you help my master? Is it for his money? Everyone wants the Kou Family's money. I refuse to believe anyone would help Taichi from the goodness of their hearts."
Akagi couldn't believe if Gero's motive was altruistic.
Gero gave her a smile briefly. "Because the times when I'm helping someone is the best moments of my life."
Hearing that and seeing that Gero wouldn't go away she acquiesced. "You can help once. Now hurry, the master doesn't have much time."
