A/N: I am back with another addition to this series. Poor Chika and Satoshi in the last one, I really do hope they kept their mouths shut while in the water. Fish poo is kind of gross. LOL. Honestly, I don't know where that came from. I originally thought to shove someone else under the water, but that is what popped into my head. As for this one… another request from Oreobabez. If you want to request a number or have a plot for one of the numbers you would like to see, let me know either in a review or PM. They will eventually all get done. Enjoy the new story!
#29… Turn on or off a light when you don't want to get up from couch/bed – sometimes you are just lazy and the shinai can reach, so why not.
#12… Poker – no, not to poke your fire, but you can use it to poke your friends or people that irritate you.
"Achoo!" Satoshi sneezed loudly as he snugged further into his bed searching for heat and ignoring the person who was standing beside his bed.
"I swear you two may actually kill each other one day," Haruhi mumbled as she nudged the lump on the bed in an attempt to get him to take some cold medicine. A couple of days ago, Chika had thrown Satoshi into the koi pond as revenge for something the young Morinozuka had done years ago. Although, the way the female host looked at it, it might have been retribution for all of the times he had been hit with a shinai by his cousin… forget the attempted drowning from when they were eight. There was probably more reason now to throw Satoshi into the water than there had been before; of course Haruhi wasn't going to say that to the man in the bed though. The younger Haninozuka and Morinozuka had their way of bonding and carrying on just like their older siblings did and Haruhi was just an innocent bystander. Then again, if she was just a bystander, why was she charged with the task of taking care of her future brother-in-law?
Shaking her head, she tried to pull back the covers to not avail, "Satoshi, you need to take this medicine." There was no answer. She grabbed the mass and shook, and still no response. Seeing the shinai next to the bed, an idea struck her and she started to use that to poke the lump.
Satoshi wanted to ignore Haruhi and the medicine she was trying to give him. He hated taking medicine and he hated being sick (dear reader, he swore this was Chika's fault anyway and vowed revenge promptly before sneezing again), however, when she started to prod him with his own shinai, it started to get harder to ignore. Finally, after a few minutes, he threw back the covers and grabbed the shinai away from Haruhi. Opening his mouth to yell, the girl dumped the medicine into his mouth and used her hand to close his mouth quickly (and dear reader, the shock of it all caused him to swallow the foul tasting liquid. Haruhi had decided that if he wanted to fight her, she would forgo the pills and give him the nasty cherry flavored stuff).
Before the other teen could come to his senses or grab her, Haruhi dashed out of the room and found her fiancé knowing Mori would protect her from anyone and anything… and that included his surly, sick brother. She was still unsure as to why she was taking care of a sick Satoshi, even if their parents were on a trip. Didn't they have servants for that? "Takashi, why isn't one of the maids…?"
Mori cut her off before she could ask, "Satoshi is the worst when he is sick and I figured you wouldn't succumb to his orders. Thank you for
helping." He had been on a conference call with his father about something when Haruhi had decided to brave the younger Morinozuka's room alone.
"Ah, ok. Well, he has had his medicine and should be going back to sleep soon," Haruhi snickered causing her fiancé to give her a funny look, "He is still alive. His taste buds just might be in peril for a bit. I gave him the liquid and nothing to drink."
Shaking his head, Mori started to chuckle. Leave it to Haruhi to get the job done… even if liquid medicine and no juice were a bit much.
Back in the room, Satoshi looked at his bedside table and realized his glass of water was empty and he had not pitcher. Glancing across the room, he eyed the door to the bathroom, but decided it was too far to walk and he would just suffer through the disgusting flavor. Then he realized the light in his bedroom was still on and he wanted it off. He couldn't reach the light switch from where he was and almost started to yell for his brother, but that might mean Haruhi would return and he didn't want that. Eyeing the switch again, he felt the cool wood of his shinai settle next to him and he grinned. He would get is way and the light would disappear. Reaching his shinai to the flip, he pushed it down and the light was off. Settling back into his bed, he sighed and went back to sleep. Shinais were so useful and handy… it was always best to keep one in arms reach at all times, especially when one had to turn off a light.
