A/N: This one is another request from Shortie87. I am still working through all of the requests I have received, and don't worry, I will be getting to all of them. If you would like to request a number, let me know in a review or PM. By the time this story is done, all 101 uses will be written into a story. For this one, I felt like Tamaki needed some vindication. Sorry if it is a bit OOC. As I was rewatching the episode where the twins pulled the prank and pretended to be fighting, this popped into my head. Enjoy!
Poll results… Kyoya came out on top with Mori in second and Hunny in third. Therefore the two holiday stories will be for Kyoya (Christmas) and Mori (New Year's).
#3… Stop hissy fits/temper tantrums. As you have seen, a good whack on the head makes Tamaki-senpai shut up. It will work on others as well.
#41… Draw line in sand in order to challenge someone – Tamaki-senpai used a stick, but I say a shinai is more effective and intimidating.
Day after day they toyed with him, forcing him to endure their unceasing torment. The jibes, the endless teasing, and the aggravating assaults… it was too much to bear! Tamaki was at the end of his rope and he had no one he could turn to. Kyoya would tell him that it was just who they were. Haruhi would stare at him blankly and tell him to deal with it on his own, that they were just playing. Hunny would eat his cake, and Mori would do nothing unless the evil doppelgangers were doing something to Haruhi; which Tamaki would question why Mori and Hunny were there when they had graduated the previous year. Life was so unfair for the blond prince (I know dear reader, he is a bit melodramatic, but that is why we love him).
The twins always seemed to lock onto their favorite target, the Host Club president, and attack. Sometimes they would tease him about Haruhi choosing Mori over him, sometimes it was about another host having more customers, sometimes it was about his failure as Haruhi's father, and sometimes they would tease him because of past mistakes. Regardless of the reason, they always found something to goad the blond into action, and Tamaki never failed to deliver.
And then one day it happened…
Being in the Host Club, most of the members were used to the antics brought about by Hikaru and Kaoru, and they were equally used to the reaction from Tamaki; however, nobody was prepared for the day the twins fought for real. The air was different, more charged than ever before. The cause? Hikaru had ripped out a page from Kaoru's writing journal without permission. Not only did he rip out a page, but it was a page from the middle of a story the younger twin happen to be working on and then had the audacity to say, "It's just a page. What's the big deal? You can rewrite it."
Now I know what you're thinking dear reader, this was another prank and would soon blow over, but it didn't. No, this time it was real.
In retaliation, Kaoru took Hikaru's design book and set it on fire, "Oops. Not a big deal. You can re-sketch the outfits!"
Yes, in the past they have attacked each other for the sake of their prank, but the sacred books… never. However, in the beginning no one could be sure it wasn't some sort of elaborate prank, and thus they did nothing. They let the twins battle it out and solve it themselves… only it never happened.
After a week of watching Hikaru and Kaoru argue, Haruhi tried to reason with them because they were taking it to the extreme and the destruction of books was no reason to fight like they were. She was promptly told to butt out. Hunny tried to send them both a cake, and the twins threw the pastries at the Loli Shota host. Seeing everyone one else fail, Tamaki tried to talk to them, to remind them that they were a family and needed each other; and still the twins scoffed and said, "What family? I wish we didn't have the same blood!" Even Kyoya tried to get them to stop to no avail, which caused other problems since the Shadow King didn't like to lose and did not like his kohai to tell him "no". Seeing everyone else's failures, Chika stayed back… he didn't much care to get involved with the twins fight anyway. There were a few time, Mori or Satoshi had to grab the twins by their shirt collars and separate them in midair (dear reader, they got a few kicks to the abdomen for his troubles).
The moment the twins were set back down this last time, Hikaru pulled out a shinai from space (dear reader, you know the anime/manga space I'm talking about, right?) and drew a line on the ground, "You stay on your side, and I will stay on mine. If you come over here, you have to deal with the consequences."
"Oh like I'm afraid of you!" Kaoru sneered and pulled out his own shinai, increasing the size of the line.
Watching all of this take place, Kyoya cringed. The marble floors were being ruined by two twins who wanted to lash out at each other, getting rid of several years of pent up frustrations. Just as he was about to do something, he witnessed something he never thought he would see.
With the twins' rebuttal, Tamaki had fled to his corner of woe in order to grow a new crop of mushrooms. A gloomy aura surrounded him as he pouted, "We are supposed to be a family. They are brothers. Brothers don't treat each other that way." He looked over his shoulder and saw Mori patting Satoshi's head, while Chika rolled his eyes at Hunny who was eating another piece of cake. The Haninozuka brothers may not always get along, but they respected each other. Moving his eyes towards the fighting redheads, the blond was saddened… and then he suddenly felt angry. Angry that they would be acting that way and not respecting each other. He had had enough!
Running up to Satoshi, Tamaki grabbed the shinai out of the younger man's hand and rushed up to Hikaru, hitting him in the head. Kaoru started to laugh, but immediately shut up when he received a blow to the head as well. Their leader just hit them with a shinai!
"What did you do that for?" The twins asked in synch.
"This tantrum is over. Your fight is through. You have been going on for a week and this could have been solved with a simple 'I'm sorry' or something of that nature. Both of you are brothers. Is that how you really want to treat each other? Family doesn't hurt each other. Even Yasuchika and Hunny-senpai act better than that towards each other. They would never do what you did!"
Hikaru and Kaoru looked at each other and then to the people around them. Had they really let it escalate to the point they were worse than Hunny and Chika? Ouch. That was not a comparison either one wanted. Suddenly, they wrapped their arms around each other and started to cry.
"I'm so sorry Hikaru!" Kaoru wailed, tears rolling down his eyes resembling two rivers.
His brother appeared much the same way, "No, it was all my fault!"
They stopped their laments momentarily and then cried together, "I missed you!"
Shaking her head, Haruhi commented, "Good work Tamaki-senpai. Now maybe we can have some peace around here."
"I never thought you would be the one to do that Tama-Chan!" Hunny grinned.
"Yes, it would seem even I'm surprised at your reaction," Kyoya stated, a smile appearing on his face.
He felt proud of himself and on top of the world. Puffing out his chest, Tamaki declared, "The Host Club is a family and it is a father's job to discipline his children!"
The curtain fell on the stage and the girls clapped. No dear reader, this was not an inner mind theatre, however, it was a performance Tamaki wrote and roped the others into performing with him.
The end!
