Jake: Welp let's get this story started.
Phaux: aye aye captain :3
Cam's P.O.V
Cam was not one to get angry but when he did he sadly resorted to swearing, yelling, and most of all violence. Right after his wings busted out of his back he had tackled Jake to ground seething in rage. He couldn't help himself he was tired of this librarians illogical thinking and assumptions that had put Arella in danger. Sadly it clicked in his brain that he was acting…well acting just like Daniel when it came to Luce if he wasn't angry he would have probably gagged at the realization.
"I should have never let her go with you!" He shouted in his face.
"It was her choice and if I had known this was going to happen I would have never taken her!" Jake hollered back as Arriane and Ronald tried to pull Cam off of him.
"What the hell were you thinking!? Taking her into a house full of witches who now are going to want her dead, that is if she even wakes up now!" He went on.
"I didn't think this would happen!" Jake countered.
"Exactly you people never do you just assume! You're a bunch of hypocrites talking about "The Balance of Nature."; yet when it suits any of your people's purpose that principle goes out the god damn window!" Cam yelled.
Cam reared his fist back ready to hit Jake square in the face. He needed some sense knocked into him maybe he just needed to have the shit knocked out of him either one would do for him, but before Cam could do so he felt himself being roughly lifted off of Jake and thrown across the room into the wall.
"That is just about enough you two." Annabelle said.
"Stay out of this." Cam growled.
"He's right this is between us." Jake said standing up.
"Fine by me you two fight like a bunch of middle school kids while precious time that could be used to save Arella is being wasted." Annabelle said crossing her arms.
"She's right Cam instead of fighting we need to be working together." Arriane said.
Cam got up dusting himself off. What do they mean work together? Why would they help him? Then again it probably bulled down to making sure he doesn't do something stupid and absolutely reckless, like kill Jake. You would have thought since Daniel the voice of reason is now gone he wouldn't have to deal with relentless nagging, but of course he isn't that lucky. Sighing he looked at Jake and nodded. The spell really was the only last bit of hope they had left.
"Alright what do you need?" He said.
Arella's P.O.V
"I don't want to see anything anymore. I just want to go back home and see my grandma." Arella said standing back up scowling.
"Ssuch disssrespect that is very new for thisss life time." The eye hissed at her.
"How? How do you know I lived a different life?" She stammered
"You haven't lived just one life. You have lived thousandssss my dear." The eye said in a soothing tone.
Thousands? She's lived that many lives? How could she not remember such thing? Nothing was making sense. Nothing had been making sense since she stepped foot in her grandma's home. It frustrated her so much…she didn't want to, but she felt like this was the only way she could possibly figure out anything about herself. Looking back up at the eye she sighed.
"I knew you'd sssseee it my way." It said.
In the blink of an eye Arella felt herself fall through the ground instinctively she put her arms up in a manor to break her fall but she never hit ground. Slowly she lowered her arms and noticed she was floating in the air. Looking around she realized she was still in ancient Egypt. Straight ahead of her was a very large temple that was made out of a system of columns and walls. A chill went down her spine she defiantly refused to turn look with the giant eye being so close behind her, but that's what wasn't her main concern. Her real concern was why was she here and what was this eye showing her and how would it even relate to her past lives? Why was she even living so many lives in the first place? Scanning the area again she noticed a woman walking into the temple. She was tall and quite slender; her long black hair seemed to sway and cling to her waist as she walked. Arella then felt herself be pushed forward through the building to where the woman was heading to.
"Lady Amunet you are late." A man said coming to her side.
"Forgive me I ran into Lady Nabirye." The woman replied.
Both Amunet and the man walked down the corridor causing Arella to follow. Was this her first life? She asked herself. Moments later she found herself in a room that appeared to be a shrine for worshipping. There were several statues of snakes one in particular stood out and the closer she looked the more she realized it was far from a statue it appeared to be a giant mummified head of a snake. A gasps escaped lips as she put the obvious together. Her past self was a priestess of this dead snake being that she was willing to bet that was now taking the form of the giant eye that was behind her. Another shiver went down her spine as she felt a small gust of wind that seemed to caress her check.
"Very good, you're ssstill bright asss ever." The eye said.
"This isn't giving me any answers as to why I have lived over a thousand lives as you've put it." She fussed growing impatient.
Suddenly she felt a tug in her chest causing her to yelp lurch forward a bit. What was that? She thought feeling the sensation again. Apparently the eye knew what was happening for it hissed whether it was in anger or annoyance she did not know, but what she did know was it did not like it. For Arella felt herself drop through the floor of the temple. The eye obviously trying to stop whatever was happening and it seemed he succeeded for the feeling was gone and she now found herself in the middle of the desert again.
"What…was that?" She whispered asking herself.
"Ssseemsss your body was reacting to the memory of that life. Which can posssee some dangerssss." Replied the eyes smoothly.
At that moment something seemed to have clicked in her mind. The eye was lying to her. How or why she knew she had no idea but she knew. Without questioning she made herself float up high and she didn't stop she just wanted to get away, evidently it seen her attempts to be in vain for the eye merely chuckled as a gust of wind blew and sent her crashing into the sand. Looking up she glared at it and tried to float back up but could barely do so.
"Mmmm you are sssoo closssee to being sssstuck with me forever." It said in pure joy.
"Wha..What?" Arella stuttered in fear.
As quick as her fear came it left for she felt the tug again and this time it was much stronger and there were small whispers seemed to be present all around her. The whispers were calling her name. The voices seemed to sound so familiar. A second later it clicked the whispers were Jake's and Cam's. Once again the eye seemed to sense this and was angry.
"Cam! Jake! Help me I'm here I'm right here!" She shouted desperate and unsure as to whether the voices would hear her.
A hiss came from the eye and she knew what it was going to do next. It was going to try and transfer her somewhere else. She had to something, but what? What could she possibly do? Yeah she was a witch, but she nothing that could help her stop what was about to happen. All of a sudden a strange cry filled her ears and she looked up to see a familiar bird like form. Right after the cry sand shot out of the ground hitting the eye causing it to hiss in pain.
"Quick stop him?" Her saving grace said as he landed on her shoulder.
"How I know spells!?" She exclaimed.
"Unlike most witches you are a special case you're an empathic one. The only empathic witch left. Use your emotions." He said rushing her.
Instantly she nodded and searched within herself. It wasn't quite hard though for she was already angry and quickly chooses that emotion. Focusing on that emotion she felt a familiar fire in her stomach the same fire she felt back in the dorm hallway except this time she wasn't scared and instinctively she held her hands towards the eye and forced the fire that had built up in her out of her hands. Which was just in the nick of time for the eye had regained its composer. Hissing in pain from the blast of energy the eye swore in unknown foreign language and turned into a thin mist and disappeared. At that moment Arella felt a great pull which pulled her into darkness one minute then the next minute she was staring into a familiar pair of green eyes. Throwing her arms around him she whimpered then sobbed which soon turned to crying. A few seconds later she felt Cam's strong arm wrap around her making her feel safe again.
Jake's P.O.V
Jake watched the scene unfold out in front of him. Arella's desperate cries for help had twinge something inside of him slightly. For a moment he was not trying to help her for Grandmother Felicia he was trying to help her because he cared. Her screams had made him want to do what Cam was doing right now hold her. To tell her everything is alright that she was safe now and nothing is going to hurt her. Moments later he snapped out of reality. His fear of Cam and the others seemed to plague him, sadly though Ronald walked up beside him. It was as if he knew what he was planning.
"I wouldn't try anything if I were you." He said.
Instantly the rooms atmosphere shifted and from the corner of his eye he seen Cam scoop Arella up in his arms and back away. He had to get her away from them it was his only choice, but knowing this would happen he had already called back and they were surrounding the house outside. It was a great risk allowing Howard to follow him, but he knew once the coven realized Cam and the other angels were here they would shift all their focus on them and away from Arella for the time being that way he could get her out of here and take her somewhere safe.
Standing up straight he sighed and looked out the window they were here. They were and it appeared that the angels didn't realize this everything was working out smoothly.
"What's going on?" Arella asked.
"You're out number." Cam hissed out.
"I'm doing what I have to I wish it could go a different way but it can't. I don't trust you with her safety." Jake said ignoring Cam.
Arella looked at him and frowned making Jake shift and realized that he might have to resort to force just to get her to be safe. If that was the case so be it. This was what he was assigned to do. It was his duty to protect her no matter what the cost and he was going to uphold to that even if it meant he was going to hurt her feelings or cause her to hate him. Suddenly the house started to shake and rumble making him and everyone fall to the ground. This wasn't what he told the coven to do. He swore realizing that Howard seemed to have improvised.
"What the hell?!" Annabelle shouted.
"We have companyyy." Arriane said peeking out the window.
"What? What's going on?" Arella asked again.
"A change in the situation. The coven wants you dead." Jake said standing up.
"Could you have broken the news more bluntly?" Cam asked putting a comforting hand on a now terrified Arella.
"Well I can't sugar coat things like you would." Jake hissed as the house shook again.
Just before Cam could retort Annabelle started to scold both of them making him and Cam huff. Suddenly the windows broke and all the doors flung open and the sound of chanting filled everyone's ears. Listening to it Jake realized what was happening. They were going to bring down the house. It may not kill the angels but it could kill Jake and Arella.
"They're trying to bring the house down!" Jake yelled.
"Cam I hate to say this but we need to go out there and take them head on." Ronald said.
"I am not leaving her with him." Cam growled.
"Cam you and Annabelle take the back door. Me and Ronald will take the front. Jake and Arella can go in the basement." Arriane said ignoring Cam's growls of complaint.
Jake watched as Cam argued with Arella slightly. Whatever was wrong he seemed to quickly settle it and nodded towards him. When Arella got to him Jake quickly grabbed her hand and ran into basement. He act fast so quickly he began digging through draws grabbing supplies.
"Jake what are you doing?" Arella asked.
Ignoring her he began to a pentacle on the ground with a piece of chalk chanting lowly. Still chanting he ran back to the draws and grabbed a handful of dried crushed herbs he pulled out and began walking around the pentacle slowly dusting them around the circle. He had only tried this spell once and it failed. So he prayed that this time it would work successfully and he could get him and Arella out of here before Cam and the other angels realized what was going on. Chanting more he stopped dead in the center of the pentacle.
"Arella come here." He said softly trying not to spoke her any more then she already was.
"Why?" She asked eyeing him.
"Listen it's too dangerous for you to be with Cam." He reasoned.
"Cam has never hurt me Jake." She stated back away slightly.
"Arella this isn't even his fight. He can't protect you." Jake said.
He wished she would just come with him instead of arguing with her. there wasn't much time left. The coven had already stopped trying to bring he house down seeing as they had other things they needed to take care of.
"Why do you hate him so much?" She asked.
"He's a demon Arella. Demons aren't good." He stated.
"Do you even know why he became a demon?" She said getting defensive.
He cursed at himself he was losing her one wrong move and she will run out of the basement and then a whole slew of problems will arise. He didn't want to do it but it was his last option he had to force her. Quickly before she could do anything he grabbed her and pulled her into him making her scream from the sudden movement. Covering her mouth with his hand he whispered to her calming to calm down only to have her squirm and try and get loose. He begin chanting again finishing the spell. The pentacle began to glow brightly which seemed to make her squirm more. What happened next shocked him though, she hit him and she hit him hard. Before she could leave the circle though flames surrounded them making Arella's leg buckle and fall back into Jake before losing consciousness and before he knew it they were in temple half across the world.
