A/N: For those of you that have been on spring break, I hope all of you had a lot of fun and were able to relax a little! This story contains requests from LucyXHeartifiliaXFan and Shortie87. If you have a request for a number that hasn't been done yet, let me know in pm or review. Trust me, this combination will all make sense after I am done. Hopefully. LOL.
#10… Limbo stick – how low can you go?
#19… Knock sense into a baka – a couple of whacks and they will know what they did wrong.
#37… Cause bruises for sympathy from your girlfriend. If she believes you were beat up, she will take care of you.
#50… Pirate costume accessory – every pirate needs a sword.
#70… When placed on the ground in front of Tamaki or someone else you are irritated with, you can watch them roll around and lose their balance much like in the cartoons.
#73… Smash boxes to make them small so they can fit into the garbage – this will also allow you to get rid of some of your frustrations.
#78… Bookmark – sometimes we need to mark our place.
It was supposed to be a fun time. A costume party in which everyone could dress up as a favorite character or whatnot and just have fun. The party started out that way, fun and innocent, everyone having a grand time… and then everything changed (but I am getting ahead of myself dear reader).
The hosts had decided to throw a party for the people of Ouran to usher in the season of spring, the time when the sakura blossoms finally opened up and old man winter finally returned to his slumber. Strolling around the room, the large hall at Ouran was filled with people dressed as princesses, princes, knights, super heroes, jokers, monsters, and a plethora of other costumes. The hosts had decided to dress as pirates with Haruhi as a damsel in distress, and since the female host was in her third year, everyone had long ago found out that she wasn't a boy… thanks in great part to Tamaki acting a fool again.
Strapped to everyone's sides (because they threw a fit that it wasn't fair if they had to use shinais and everyone else got to use real swords) sat a shinai. Every pirate needed their sword and the Ouran High School Pirates were no different. The men wore their shinai proudly and strutted through the crowd dancing with various girls (well all except for Mori, who didn't feel comfortable dancing with the other girls now that he was engaged. So, he talked to them and escorted his fiancée around the room as her protector, dear reader. You may be asking who she would need protection from, and if you are, then you might be new to this story… you will see in a moment).
The twins and Tamaki wanted to twirl the Host Club princess around the dance floor. She had already danced with Hunny, Kyoya, and of course Mori, and she was about to start dancing with Chika, but the troublesome trio were told to wait their turn, and let's face it, they aren't the most patient of men. So they got an idea, which in their minds was truly a brilliant feat of ingenuity. Noticing Mori walking towards the dance floor in order to watch his fiancée move around with his cousin, Hikaru and Kaoru under the direction of Tamaki, took the blonde's shinai and placed it in front of Mori. The tall man stepped over it without blinking. Their plan had failed.
Regrouping, they discussed it further, and Tamaki ran up the stairs and announced a limbo contest for everyone, however, since they had not planned for this, Satoshi and Chika were the poles holding up a shinai for everyone to dip under. Just as Mori bent in half and walked under the stick (he really was flexible dear reader), they placed the shinai in front of him again. Unable to see what was happening, Mori stepped on it, and although he tried to remain standing, he fell and hit his head on the ground. Haruhi was immediately at his side and coddling him (actually she was checking to make sure he was alright, however, Tamaki imagined her bringing Mori's face to her breast as she cried over his injuries). If they only knew what was about to come to fruition.
"What did you three do?" Haruhi growled at Tamaki, Hikaru, and Kaoru.
"Us? We didn't do anything!" The trio exclaimed together. They were clutching their heads a moment longer when Chika was able to hit all three with one whack from a shinai at the same time.
Satoshi appeared as he towered over them, his figure dark, and his eyes glowing yellow as if he was a monster and not a second year high school student, "Do you want to rephrase your answer?"
"Perhaps we should discuss this later in the music room," Kyoya suggested as he adjusted his glasses.
"Kyoya-senpai is right," Haruhi relented and was relieved when her fiancé got to his feet with relative ease.
"But Taka-bro…" Satoshi tried to argue.
Patting his brother's head, Mori said, "I'm fine. We will talk about this later. We have a party to host."
"Fine!" The younger man stalked off as Kyoya cued the music once again.
Apologies were made, music filled the hall once again, and people forgot about limbo and started to dance with their partners. The ordeal was forgotten… at least by the guests. The hosts on the other hand, had a very long memory and the trio would not be getting out of this unscathed, and this is what Tamaki and the twins feared the most. Remembering how Haruhi reacted when she saw Mori injured, the blond had a plan, a brilliant idea that caused a lightbulb to appear over his head. He pulled his cohorts to his side and explained everything to them, and they quickly agreed hoping it would get them out of the hole to hell they had dug for themselves. They had just wanted to dance with Haruhi, and now they were in trouble. It wasn't fair.
Soon the night came to an end and as the hosts were making their way to the music room, the troublesome trio disappeared. Five minutes later they joined their friends in the club's headquarters covered in bruises. Using number 37 on Satoshi's list, they used their shinais to beat each other up hoping Haruhi would feel sorry for them, or at least plead on their behalf. They thought wrong.
Rolling his eyes, Satoshi snapped, "It only works if she hadn't seen you five minutes ago, hadn't tried to injure her fiancé, and were actually her boyfriend, lover, husband, and/or fiancé."
Groans from the trio could be heard throughout the room, and they did nothing to quell the anger coming from the other side of the room where the other hosts stood.
"Tonight, you will break down these boxes and put them in the garbage yourself. We were going to have the cleaning staff do it tomorrow, but I believe you three can handle it tonight. After that, you will join the cleaning staff in taking down the decorations and cleaning up the hall. Once you are finished with that, you may go home. Please be aware that I will know if you do not complete your tasks because you will be monitored. Hotta?" Kyoya dictated.
"Hai, Kyoya-sama!" One of Kyoya's bodyguards stepped out from the shadows.
"Please make sure these three do not shirk their responsibilities."
"Hai!"
"Now as for the rest of us, shall we leave the idiots to their duties?" Kyoya smirked and gave the trio a knowing look.
Tamaki was horrified. None of his plans had worked. Using the last thing he had in his arsenal, he threw himself upon the mercy of the court (actually dear reader, it was only Haruhi), "Daughter! You won't let them do this to daddy, will you? We just wanted to dance with you and you were…" The icy glare he and the twins received from Haruhi froze them in a block of ice.
"Tamaki, Hikaru, Kaoru, once you thaw out, please complete your tasks and clean up the water from the melted ice," Kyoya ordered before leading the other hosts out of the room.
An hour later once they were free from their frigid prison, the trio cleaned up the mess without changing out of their cold, wet clothes, and broke down the boxes. They were angry and upset that they got in trouble for having a little fun. In Hikaru and Kaoru's case, they blamed Tamaki. Tamaki blamed the twins for being caught (and dear reader, he couldn't quite understand how he didn't obtain the sympathy vote for the bruises). Taking out their frustrations on the boxes, they beat the cardboard with the shinais… picturing various people's heads as they swung.
The next day (or I should say early evening dear reader since Hikaru, Kaoru, and Tamaki all slept most of the day away), the trio arrived at Mori's house (they had gone to Haruhi's house first and found out she was with her fiancée) ready to apologize… or beg for her forgiveness on their knees… well maybe not that because that might ruin their knees and they all felt they had cute knees… you get the picture.
They were escorted into the library where they stopped in their tracks in the doorway. Inside sat Satoshi, Chika, Hunny, Mori, and Haruhi. They were encroaching on a predator's space and could possibly lose their lives today. Falling all over themselves to apologize first, they noticed Haruhi lay a shinai across her book and they started to panic. Were they about to die by her hands alone? Should they fear her more than the others? Screaming, they cried out, "Don't kill us Haruhi!"
"What are you three talking about? I left my bookmark at home and needed to hold my place," the brunette deadpanned.
Three men in the doorway of a library in Japan, fell to the ground with their souls flying out of their bodies.
