Me: I don't own Frozen or ROTG!
Chapter 13
Jack flew down and headed towards the mountainside. The winds blew him forward as the guardian of fun sailed through the air. Jack bit his lower lip while tracking down Anna. He skipped over some of the snowy peaks before landing on one of the trees. Jack, lowering his body, hid behind the trees while watching Anna and some other people walk with her. The guardian of fun watched her in amusement; he leapt off before landing right in front of her.
"Anna," Jack called out. "That's enough!"
Anna however didn't stop walking. "Kristoff, how exactly are we going to get up this mountain?"
Kristoff pulled out a hook and some rope. "We're going to have to," – he suddenly found Anna climbing. "What are you doing?"
Anna struggled to climb. "I'm going to talk to my sister!"
Jack snickered in amusement while floating up right in front of Anna's face. He shrugged in amusement before blowing some ice and snow into her face.
"Wah," Anna suddenly fell off and fell right into Kristoff's arms. "Oh..."
Kristoff looked at Anna before suddenly letting her down. "Ah, sorry."
Anna dropped in a small fluff of snow while looking at the mountain determinedly. "Look out, mountain! I'm going to climb up and get to the top!"
Jack sighed in resignation, shaking his head. He gently touched the cliff with his staff before floating around while freezing up some more of the areas. Anna tried climbing up again as the white haired guardian floated up right in front of her again. He breathed out gently and blew icy breezes in her face.
"Waaah, oh God," Anna fell backwards and fell once again in Kristoff's arms.
However, what Jack didn't notice was that the snowman had been staring at him the whole time.
Olaf stared at Jack blowing icy winds at Anna every time she tried to climb. He tried to snap himself out of it, thinking that he was hallucinating. He shook his head before staring at Jack once more, realizing that he recognized him.
"You're Jack Frost," Olaf gasped.
Jack suddenly snapped his head towards Olaf, realizing that the snowman could see him. "Oh snap."
Anna blinked several times. "What?"
Kristoff shook his head and gawked at him. "What? Who in the world is Jack Frost?"
"You taught Elsa how to control her powers," Olaf repeated.
Jack swallowed nervously and lied. "I just got here!"
"No, I can feel it. I know you," Olaf began walking towards him.
"Olaf? Are you okay?"
Jack exhaled sharply as the snowman walked away from him. The guardian of fun sighed deeply while watching Anna trying to climb up again. He lazily lay down on the ground while blowing his nails casually. He pointed his staff carelessly at the cliff and froze it. However, Olaf then began walking away and pointed excitedly.
"I found a bridge leading there, Anna!"
Jack suddenly clambered up to his feet and saw them taking the bridge. He immediately flew over towards the castle and headed straight into the balcony window. He ran through the hallways and finally got into one of the rooms where Elsa stood quietly, staring at the mirror.
"ELSA," Jack stumbled in and panted heavily. "They're coming...!"
Elsa didn't move.
"Elsa, your sister is coming," Jack repeated while gasping for air. "Elsa...?"
Elsa didn't move until a sneer formed on her lips.
"Why should you worry, Jack? It's about time..."
Jack blinked several times. "H-Huh?"
Suddenly, a blast of ice knocked him back. Jack crashed on the ground, tumbling and falling over. The guardian of fun weakly rose up as he saw the ice swirling around Elsa from behind her. He gawked in horror with the ice suddenly turning black and they started cracking loudly. Elsa sneered evilly and slowly walked up to Jack and suddenly sent a pike to pin him against the wall.
"You know Jack, I've always known this day would come," Elsa smirked with a voice mixing with hers. "The day that she finally gives in to her fear…"
Jack snapped. "What are you talking about!? Elsa, this isn't like you…! And since when did you refer to yourself in the third person!?"
"Of course it's not," Elsa responded curtly and flicked away imaginary dust from her fingernails. "You never really knew me, Jack."
Jack bit his lower lip.
Elsa giggled darkly. "What's the matter, Jack? Getting a little cold?"
The guardian of fun remained silent however he couldn't help but notice Elsa's blue eyes suddenly becoming yellow. He could see black streaks appearing on her hair and black veins started to appear on her pale skin. Jack struggled against the ice as the ice suddenly formed shackles on his wrists and legs. He tried to kick them off but to no avail as Elsa smirked.
"Oh don't worry, Jack. My powers are not controlling me. It's just that, I've never felt so free!"
Jack struggled against the ice. "Elsa, there has to be a balance of things! Are you willing to pay the price that your freedom will cost you!?"
Elsa shrugged nonchalantly. "Nobody really cared and the cold never bothered me anyway."
"ELSA!"
"Oh stop getting yourself all knotted up, Jack," Elsa giggled while waving her hand dismissively at him. "I am quite sure I can handle my powers just fine."
Suddenly, a voice echoed from downstairs.
"Elsa?"
Jack's voice died in his throat. "A-Anna…!"
Elsa looked out the door. "Oh, look who's here," – suddenly, a cruel smile formed on her lips. "Anna…"
"Elsa, leave her alone! She has nothing to do with this! Remember why you ran away from Arendelle!"
Elsa suddenly snapped her head and stormed towards him, glaring. She could feel her power burning inside her, ironically as it was ice. The power surged everywhere and even the castle began to morph without her conscious control. The ice turned jet black and more cracks began to appear. Red lights beamed from the ice and the ice holding the guardian of fun seemed to crush him. Elsa glanced at her hands before feeling the ecstasy rushing through her and whirling inside her. She smirked darkly and ignored Jack's glare, heading towards the door.
"Elsa, where are you going?"
She suddenly stopped before smiling darkly.
"Where else? It would be rude not to greet my sister, Anna."
Jack then could only stare helplessly as Elsa walked out the door, slamming it behind her.

"Elsa?"
Anna began looking around and amazed by the ice. She knew she had to leave Kristoff behind. The last time she introduced a guy, she winced at the memory. Elsa had frozen everything down to the last bit and even Arendelle had been frozen solid. She quietly began looking around before hollering out.
"Elsa? It's me… Anna!"
Anna nearly slipped but managed to gather herself, shaking her head. "Woo, that's a lot of ice."
"Anna."
Anna looked up and stared in amazement.
There at the balcony stood her elder sister, Elsa. Composed and calm as always as she had remembered. Elsa no longer looked like the queen she had seen back at home but completely something else. Her gown was sparkling blue with snowflakes adorning her hair. Anna couldn't help but stare in amazement.
"Elsa, you look different," Anna said before catching herself, rephrasing. "It's a good different and this place looks so amazing…"
Elsa smiled politely while cautiously stepping back. "Thank you, I never knew what I was capable of."
Anna couldn't believe she finally got this close to her sister. Her heart jumped with joy but her stomach suddenly started having butterflies. She shook it away before slowly making her way to the stairs.
"Elsa," she began and shook her head shamefacedly. "I'm so sorry for what had happened. If I had known then, maybe…"
Seeing Anna getting close, Elsa backed up fearfully and watched her sister cautiously. "No it's okay, you don't have to apologize. But you should probably go, please…"
Despite Elsa's calm demeanour, something in the Snow Queen began to grow. Black veins started to slip out from behind her palm and the tips of her braids darkened into black. Elsa however despite this remained completely calm but slightly defensive when her sister started making her way closer.
"But, Elsa… I just got here."
Yes bring her close! Then do away with her!
Elsa shook her head; where had those thoughts come from?
"…You belong in Arendelle," Elsa pointed out.
"So do you," Anna took another step closer. "You're their queen."
Yes, get her close! Stop moving back!
Elsa shook her head. "No, I belong here. Alone. Where I can be who I am without hurting anybody."
Anna gulped; she didn't know about Olaf? "… Actually, about that…"

Jack on the other hand stayed stuck to the wall, struggling viciously against the ice. He groaned in annoyance while stuck there before looking at the door that Elsa had slammed behind her. What happened to her?
"I leave her for five minutes and then she becomes," Jack didn't know how to describe it. "That."
Where had the black streaks and black veins come from? Secondly, she had become increasingly sinister and he could remember the evil reflected in her eyes. He glanced at the ice and he could feel it sucking his own powers out of him as he let himself dangle from the wall.
"How in the world," Jack began looking around when he saw some familiar black specks. "Hmm…"
It started crawling all over the ice and spawning everywhere until he decided to close his eyes. He breathed quietly as the black veins began to extend further, quickly moving towards his face. However, the guardian of fun continued breathing calmly while keeping his body relaxed.
"There is no ice that I CANNOT CONTROL," Jack declared and shattered the ice with one huge burst.
The shackles shattered off along with the pike and the cocoon that wrapped around his body. He dropped onto the ground and immediately grabbed his staff before making his way to the door. He slammed them open only to see that Elsa and Anna were gone.
"ELSA," Jack yelled frantically. "Where are you!?"
Please don't slam the door
You don't have to keep your distance anymore!
Jack immediately recognized the voice. "Anna!"
'Cause for the first time in forever
I finally understand
For the first time in forever
We can fix this hand in hand
The guardian of fun dashed up the stairs, following the singing voice of the younger princess.
We can head down this mountain together
You don't have to live in fear
"That's what I've been telling Elsa," Jack muttered darkly before pushing his body. "Come on, body! Fly!"
As he tried to force his body to fly, he suddenly crashed on the staircase. He groaned in agony while pushing himself off the floor. Jack shook off the pain before running up the stairs as fast as he could.
"Damn it, the ice must've drawn that much," Jack continued running up as fast as he could. "Elsa, don't do anything stupid!"
'Cause for the first time in forever,
I will be right here…
Jack finally made his way to the balcony where Elsa and he had begun singing. His eyes widened when Elsa began singing.
Anna,
Please go back home, your life awaits
Go enjoy the sun and open up the gates
"Yeah, but –," Anna began.
I know
You mean well, but leave me be
Anna followed her sister as Elsa swung the balcony doors open, declaring.
Yes, I'm alone, but I'm alone and free!
Just stay away and you'll be safe from me
As Elsa walked away, Anna winced. "Actually we're not."
"What do you mean you're not?"
"I get the feeling you don't know."
"What do I not know?"
Anna swallowed nervously. Looking out the window, the younger princess smiled nervously and clasped her hands.
Arendelle's in deep, deep, deep, deep snow
Now it was Elsa's turn to gawk. "What?"
Even Jack stared at Anna, slack-jawed. "What!?"
Anna sheepishly scratched the back of her neck. "You've kind of set off an eternal winter... everywhere."
"Everywhere?"
Anna shrugged with an optimistic smile. "It's okay, you can just unfreeze it."
"No, I can't, I - I don't know how!"
Anna beamed brightly. "Sure you can! I know you can!"
(Italics – Anna, Bold – Elsa)
'Cause for the first time in forever,
Oh I'm such a fool, I can't be free!
You don't have to be afraid!
No escape from the storm inside of me!
Jack saw a huge blizzard swirling around Elsa. He staggered back as he placed his hands in front of it to try and control it. Despite his power of the wind and ice, Jack got knocked back by the huge blizzard. The guardian of fun staggered back as his back hit the wall.
We can work this out together!
I can't control the curse!
We'll reverse the storm you've made!
Ohhhh, Anna, please, you'll only make it worse!
Don't panic!
There's so much fear!
We'll make the sun shine bright!
You're not safe here!
We can face this thing together!
Oh!
We can change this winter weather!
AHHHHH...
And everything will be alright...!
I CAN'T!
The moment Elsa screamed her last words, everything had happened so fast. Everything around him became silent as the blizzard swirled and shrunk into Elsa. However, the ice then blasted out like a ring around the ice queen. And all Jack could do was watch Anna helplessly get struck with ice and fall to the ground.
"ANNA!"
