Awakening

*Evil grin*

Enjoy!

Third POV

If there was one thing Heimdall knew, it was that E're was beyond pissed at the Allfather. Of course, he had sensed the exact moment that the youngest Immortal returned to Asgard, and her rage was obvious. It sent ripples across the realm, and anyone with even a hint of magical abilities could sense her anger.

Being Infinitas' Adiutore came with stronger senses, and a stronger Sight. So he felt very little pity for Odin.

Though it was nice to see young E're in Asgard again.

It had been but moments since Hel had vanished from the guard's sight, but they had paid the young Asgardian little mind. They had been tasked with bringing the traitor, Loki, before the Allfather for questioning. So to them, what the Goddess of Death did mattered very little to them.

That had been their fourth mistake.

Their first mistake had been appearing in Loki's home, on the edge of Asgard, and swarming him while he slept in his wife's arms. The second had been when they had turned their charges spears onto the small, dark haired toddler that was Fenrir, the youngest of Loki's children*.

Loki, who had already been bound with magic suppressant cuffs and held gruffly in two guards iron grips, had told little Fenrir to go find his brothers. The guards had told him to stay there.

Frightened, the toddler of only three centuries started sobbing, their third mistake, causing Adayna to lash out.

Vali, the second eldest of Loki's children at sixteen centuries, had grabbed Fenrir and run while the guards struggled with their mother.

Narfi, Vali's twin, had grabbed Sleipnir and Jormungand, who were eleven and seven centuries respectively and also fled; following their brothers.

Of course, they had fled to their grandmother, Frigga. The children, knowing much of their father's magic, had arrived at the palace before the soldiers. So Frigga learned from her grandchildren what was going on; and that was the guards' fifth mistake.

But of course, their sixth mistake, the one that broke the camel's back, was when they ordered the throne room doors sealed with magic.

Yup, their mistakes definitely came back and bit them in the arse.

Frigga was very, very angry with her husband! Only moments ago she had been awoken by five of her grandchildren rushing into her chambers. The youngest three had immediately jumped onto her bed, tears streaming down their faces as they shook with fearful sobs. Vali and Narfi had been little better, the two teenagers red faced and furious as they explained to their worried grandmother what had happened.

By the time they were finished recounting their tale, Frigga was dressed, furious, and storming towards the throne room. She had left Vali and Narfi instructions to coax the younger ones into a more calming state with the kitchens and some magic shows.

She just hoped it distracted them all until the mess was sort out.

The twins had told her how their mother had appeared the day before, (time was different here than on Midgard) who had been missing for quite some time, their father in her arms, who had also been 'missing' for months. They also relayed the tale of Loki being controlled and then possessed by an Immortal of all things! It was unbelievable, but yet...it answered so many of her questions.

Most of Asgard had though Loki dead after his fall off of the Bridge, but not Frigga. After the horrible events between Loki and Odin months before, she had known that something was wrong. Loki would not act like that, not her Loki.

So to hear that her husband was ignoring the evidence that Loki was innocent turned her blood to fire and for magic to crackle about her in tiny, vibrant gold sparks.

Of course, she paused when she felt the ripple of power and fury, a strange mixture of worry and happiness twisted in her stomach. She recognized that magic, that power.

Her magic twisted inside of her as she shook her head and continued on.

"Odin, what have you done?" She whispered to herself before using said magic to throw open the side door to the throne room.

She burst in, her eyes narrowing as she saw her son on his knees, and Odin proclaiming in front of him.

"...are hereby charged with treason, attempted murder, murder, attempting to upsurge the throne…"

"ODIN BORSON!" She yelled angrily as she strode forward, cutting off her husband and ignoring the various court members and guards in the room. She had eyes only for her husband, son, and daughter in law who was also restrained but behind Loki and still on her feet.

"Frigga," The Allfather said calmly as he slowly got to his feet and turned to his wife. She was able to see the hesitant expression on his face, but no one else saw it. No one in the room knew how to read her husband as she could.

"Don't you Frigga me!" She exclaimed, ignoring all of the usual decorum she would have in court, happy to give her husband and the rest of the court a piece of her mind. "What do you think you're doing?! Dragging our son out of bed before the sun has even risen, forcing his wife, your daughter in law to watch as you scare away her children before bringing the two of them before the court! Your grandchildren, by the way, whom are currently sobbing their eyes out in our chambers!"

"Loki has broken the laws of Asgard," Odin tried to sooth his wife without making a spectacle. He was trying to remember why he had shivered seconds ago, he had sensed something...something familiar...but he couldn't place it. "Family or not, he must face his punishment."

"Punishment!?" Frigga hissed, taking a step forward, placing herself in between her son and husband. "You are a fool Borson…"

Odin's expression darkened and the room filled with power as he slammed his staff into the ground.

"YOU DARE TO CALL ME A FOOL IN MY OWN COURT, WOMAN!" He bellowed, his voice becoming like thunder. Most of the occupants in the room scrambled back. Loki and Adayna both covered their ears at the magically amplified voice, but Frigga stood tall through it.

In fact, she only narrowed her eyes further, her anger barely simmering beneath the surface. It was because of this she could sense the people striding through the halls towards them.

She schooled her face, her eyes darkening.

"I have called you many things over the years Odin." She stated and Odin narrowed his eyes as she took a deep breath. "But I thought you wiser than this."

Odin opened his mouth, probably to shout again, when with a very large explosion, the throne room doors were thrown off of their hinges and into the far walls.

Power flooded the room as three figures stalked in, the older Asgardians, the members of the court who had been there the longest, hid behind the many pillars as they recognized the power.

The first figure that walked into the room was female, young, fiery red curls with pure white framing her face, and vivid, furious, emerald green eyes that were glowing with power.

Silver and blue power danced around her in a wind as small sparks coated her skin. She was wearing a blue Asgardian formal dress: left shoulder bare and a wide, silver, metal band wrapped around her midsection, the skirt splitting at the hip, and sandal-boots on her feet.

Thor and Hel both flanked her, Hel on the left and Thor on the right. They too looked furious, though neither looked as pissed as the young girl in between them.

"ODIN BORSON, YOU SORRY EXCUSE OF AN ALLFATHER, WHAT IN THE NINE REALMS DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!?" The voice was foreign, but the words and power all too familiar.

To think that the tall dark haired man who had once advised the King was now this small, red haired girl was rather shocking for most of the court.

"E...E're," Odin gasped as he finally put the pieces together and recognized the power surrounding, almost choking him.

"Yes," E're sneered as she came to a stop in front of Odin, Frigga having moved to the side. "Hello old friend, would you mind explaining to me why Loki is currently in magic binding restrains in front of the whole bloody court before it is even dawn, while your other son was still on Midgard and therefore unable to present any testimony at all!"

Thor and Hel were quick to release Loki and Adayna from the restraints and the couple embraced before pulling their daughter into a hug.

"Thank you Hel," Loki whispered to his daughter, who just smiled at him.

The family was then squashed as Thor gave them all one large hug, almost lifting them off of the floor.

Frigga would've laughed at the scene, if she hadn't been so focused on the confrontation before her.

Odin was opening his mouth, closing it, and then repeating the process. E're allowed it continue for a few moments, before she plowed ahead.

"You know," She scoffed, "I don't actually want to know. You see, this is exactly the kind of thing I warned you about when you took Loki in! I told you not to let his heritage blind you! I told you what would happen if you did!"

She suddenly turned and gestured towards Loki, Adayna and Hel, with Thor standing protectively next to them, a dark look in his eyes.

"For centuries I tried to make you open your eye and become someone better I thought that you were above petty, racist, prejudices! But clearly I was wrong! What do you think could've happened if I hadn't been here?! If I had never been here all of those centuries ago, where do you think you'd be now!?"

Odin opened his mouth, but spotted the members of the court and promptly shut it again. E're's eyes narrowed and her aura manifesting around her she spun towards the audience.

"GET OUT!" She yelled, her voice magnified through power, causing the hall to tremble and the ground to shake.

The members of the court and guards couldn't flee fast enough, tripping over one another as they tried to get out of the doors.

Once the room was empty of everyone who wasn't part of the Royal Family, or E're, said Immortal turned back towards Odin.

"You and I are going to have a nice little chat; somewhere we won't be...interrupted." She sneered, before reaching forward, grabbing Odin by the front of his shirt, and then vanishing in a swirl of power.

There was a tense moment of silence as E're's power dissipated in the air, and it was Hel who finally broke it.

"Man," She shook her head with a whistle. "Granddad really pissed her off...I'm not even sure if she was that angry with Fati the other day and she tried to kill her."

The other Asgardians took a moment to think about that, but none of them could feel particularly bad for Odin.

In all of their minds, he brought it upon himself.

"Come," Frigga said with a small smile, "I think there are a few small ones who'd like to see you."

"Of course," Adayna said, smiling softly at her mother in law, although she was clearly still shaken. She gripped her weary husband by the arm and led him from the throne room.

Hel and Thor followed, their eyes never leaving Loki's exhausted and distraught form.

Thor frowned, he remembered what his brother believed before Adayna had come from him.

He just hoped his father's misguided actions hadn't caused Loki to mistakenly blame himself again.

If it had…

He doubted his mother would be the only one giving Odin a piece of her mind.

After E're was done with him of course.

Ohh...I love writing pissed off Penny/E're! It's soooo much fun. :) hope you enjoyed the chapter, I enjoyed writing it!

I'm so proud of myself, three chapters in four hours! (And that includes me doing chores and such in between!)

*Oh, I may have mixed things around regarding Loki's kids...from what I can find, Hel is usually the youngest, but I thought Loki with little kids would be adorable so I made Hel the eldest and then guessed with where the others would fall. I'm no expert with Norse myths, so I just did my best with google.

Oh and if any of you were wondering, I sort of got rid of Loki's relationship with Segin (sp?) and Adayna's the mother of all of Loki's kids. To be honest, when I created Adayna, I totally forgot about Segin….but then again that's even more drama regarding her I don't want to deal with here so yeah.

Loki is married to Adayna (haven't figured out what she's going to be goddess of yet…) Hel is the eldest at 18 centuries, then it's the twins (male fyi) Vali and Narfi at 15 centuries, Sleipnir who's 11 centuries, Jormungand who's 7 centuries, and then Fenrir, who I just picture as an adorable mini Loki, who's 3 centuries.

I don't care what people think about what I've done, this is AU after all.

Thanks for reading everyone!
