Pierced by Destiny's Arrow
Sorry for not posting something in a long time, first my laptop basically broke and could barely perform the most basic of functions and then my external bombed out and I lost ALL my chapters that I had created for this story and before I knew it I was working like a madman trying to keep up with all my university work since I'm busy with my honours degree. I'm trying to remember all my old ideas for the story and hopefully I'll be able to get this story moving along in the direction I want. Hope you guys enjoy the new chapter! Oh and before I forget thanks once again to all the peeps who've read, reviewed, followed and favourite my story, I really appreciate all the support :D

Chapter 7: From the heart
It was getting close to dawn and Alucard had gone back to the village to see what remained of Seras' home and what he found was little more than a burned down mess…nothing remained of the quaint little family home that once stood there, all he could find was ash and burnt grounds….there was no hope that either of Seras' parents' bodies were spared from the flames…
Even though they were of no importance to him, they were Seras' parents and he could feel through their mental link how deeply she mourned their loss. Her pain was his pain and he could help but hope that they were in a better place now, "….seems I really have become soft if I'm thinking that there is indeed a heaven….", he continued to mentally berate himself until his eyes fell upon the rest of the village and then the only thoughts and emotions he felt were those of intense rage and hatred.
"Sleep peacefully while you can fools, my beloved will have her revenge and I will relish at the sight of her ripping you all to shreds!", The intense rage was quickly turning to bloodlust and it took a few moments before Alucard was able to compose himself once again and avert his gaze from the village. He then started making his way back to the forest before taking once last glance at the burned remnants of Seras' home….a moment of silence passed and then he continued on his way until the darkness of the forest enveloped him and within the darkness he opened a portal to his castle.
Moments later he arrived in his ancient home and noted once again that dawn will soon be upon them so he made his way to Seras' room to ensure she was comfortable before she succumbed to her day slumber. He could sense through their mental link that she was still very much asleep will not wake while he checks on her. Being as old as he is the need to rest during the day was no longer a necessity as the sun did little to harm him however the light did irritate him and he usually chose to sleep just to pass the time however in Seras' case since she as a newly turned fledgling she was still very much vulnerable during the daytime and the sun would incinerate her almost instantly and she has no control over the need to rest as soon as the sun rises…
Once in her room he immediately used his powers to morph the window so that instead of an open window it became a simple wall. After ensuring that no light would be able to enter the room he then turned to look at Seras, he took in the sight of her curled up into a little ball next to the only belongings she had left of her old life…the look of sadness and the blood-tear stains on her face completed the heart-breaking image before him and all Alucard wanted to do was gather her in his arms and comfort her…..he wanted her smile not her tears, he wanted her laughter not her cries of sadness and anguish.
He moved closer so that he could reposition her to lie under the covers. As he finished moving her and made to pull the covers over her he heard the slightest whimper leave her lips, he immediately looked to her face and saw that she was still asleep but in some sort of distress, without thinking he gently caressed her face and kissed forehead which seemed to calm her down and even brought a slight smile to her face…that little smile alone made Alucard's heart swell with joy and he so badly wanted to just climb into the bed and hold her as she slept but he knew he still had much to do in order to prepare her gift…
So with great difficulty he focused on simply making sure she was comfortable before leaving the room, once outside he took a deep breath to calm himself…he wanted her….he yearned for her….just being near her like that….smelling the scent of her blood made him want to throw caution to the wind, wake her and show her in a very physical way what she does to him….but then he remembered that it was those very actions that resulted in the grief that he was experiencing at that moment, "God dammit, things were so much simpler before she came into my life…" but despite all the turmoil that he was feeling he thought of her smile and that brought his own smile to his face and he knew that he wouldn't have it any other way so long as he had her.
Soon he made his way to the dungeons so that he could start with his gifts for his beloved, he only hoped that she would like it and know that this gift is from his heart. He summoned his shadows and began to work….he did not care how long it took but he will make sure that it was perfect.
The day passed without being noticed by either vampire, Seras remained in her death like sleep while Alucard worked on forming his shadows and turning them to solid granite like structures…once the main structure was perfected, he went to work carving the finishing touches on the now stone structure, thankfully if he made any mistakes he could morph the stone to erase the mistake and start again…this had to be perfect for his Seras…
Hours passed until Alucard deemed his work to be complete, by that time it was getting close dusk…he still had some things to finish up and immediately opened a portal to his gardens. He had never been one to care for silly flowers but that was before he met Seras and saw how much she loved flowers. After their fateful meeting all those years ago he set out to have a special little garden made just for her and used his powers to ensure that the plants would not succumb to the elements and would continue to flourish so that Seras could always have a beautiful place of her own at all times.
As he looked over the garden, he searched for the perfect place to put his gift for Seras. He eventually found it and with the use of a portal and his shadows he was able to bring the stone structure from his dungeon to the area and placed it down gently. Before him stood a large tombstone; it had a solid platform which served as the base with two vases in the front, on top of the base in the centre stood a large book with the engravings of Seras' parents' names, right at the back was an arch which held up a plaque which was decorated with carvings of flowers so that it matched it the surroundings…all of this created by him and his shadows and morphed into black granite stone…he could so easily have simply summoned some stone and then morphed it but he chose to do it this way to show Seras that a part of him will be here to watch over her little sanctuary and her parents' final resting place…
Once again Alucard found himself wondering how it is that she got him to act so sentimental but soon dismissed all thoughts as the sun was setting low in the horizon. Before going to see Seras he gathered some flowers from the garden and place a bouquet in each vase. He wasn't too concerned about lighting since the moon usually shone quite bright in these regions plus with their enhanced sight vampires could see very clearly at night as if it were daytime.
The finishing touches were made and now it was time to wake his sleeping beauty and present his gift to her, he only hopes that she will accept it and will give him another chance to redeem himself. With that thought in mind he opened a portal and went directly to her room.
Chapter done! Sorry if it seems I'm dragging this all out but I want to give you guys as much detail as possible. No guarantees on when the next chapter will be up but I will try to do it before my next semester starts. Thanks for the support guys!
