Chapter 29

Chirstmas Day, 1998

"Wahh... ack. Ack." Cerise wanted food and had started crying, but her throat got dry.

"I'm coming, Sweetie. I got your baba." I got her bottle from the fridge.

"No, you have to drink from the bottle sometimes." Red told our daughter.

"Noo." She whined.

"Yes." She gave me the baby.

Ceris' refused to drink for awhile, but I got her to. Then I fed her and we opened presents. Red liked her candle I got. It smelled like chewy caramel. Candy like that always got stuck on my teeth. Almost as bad as eating peanut butter in my wolf form. It was awful. And Cerise "got" her a card and coupon to a spa. The little Wolf tried to eat the coupon. We got her more clothes and puzzle toys. Then she got bored and wanted Wolfie and Dollie. Red got them while I waited with Cerise. She got her toys and went under the coffee table. Red got me a new razor and some snacks for Wolfs. We had a quiet lunch and Cerise napped.
