Chapter 43

Sleepover at Raven's

I rolled my sleeping bag out and put my pillow where the opening was and Dollie and Wolfie on the pillow. Then I went back to the dining hall with Maddie. We were sleeping over at Raven's. It took a while to get her to let us, but we couldn't really go home now. It'd be ok. We were sleeping on her dad's half of the castle.

"Dad got pizza." Raven brought in some boxes. They smelled yummy. Her dad had some bags with soda bottle shaped lumps. They unpacked and we dug into the food. I ate the meat pizza. It was nummy. I drank root beer and we watched a movie. It was cool. We don't a movie room at home. Then we went to Raven's room. Dollie and Wolfie were still there.

"I can't believe Legacy Year is next year." Raven said, kinda sadly. I guess it was kinda scary.

"I don't wanna wear old lady jammies." I whined.

"It'll be comfy." Maddie told me.

"You like your destiny. You get throw a crazy tea party for the next Alice." I said.

"It'll be so fun. I wish you could see it." She smiled.

"Let's tell scary stories now." Raven suggested.

Maddie told a weird story about a rabbit trying to find pumpkin patch. I didn't really get it. Raven told a more traditional story with ghosts haunting a castle. A king moved into the castle and couldn't get his new wife to join him since the ghost was there, but he tried to get rid of it after awhile and the ghost killed his wife the next time she tried to move in again. He moved to a new castle. I told a story about a girl who was half monster and was trying to mom only to find her mom was human. Her dad was space creature. Then I was kinda tired and went to sleep with Dollie and Wolfie in each arm.
