KAKASHI POV

The fact that she had done her utmost to sit as far away as possible, made it very clear that she was avoiding people. For what reason he had no idea, yet it was obvious to him and Anko that something was troubling the poor girl. Her mother had ridden it off as all of the new situations, but even Naruto had inquired about Kazuyo.

So it was not a great surprise, that when the pair had snuck up on the girl, she hadn't reacted. In fact she hadn't moved a muscle. She simply stared into the distance as though nothing existed save what was in front of her eyes. She had a glazed look on her face.

Perhaps, she's in shock?

"Hey. Kazuyo..."he reached out gently, a hand snapping to grab his before he could even touch her.

"I'm aware you are there, Kakashi-san."

"Fuck girl. You almost gave me a heart attack," Anko retorted.

"My apologies...why are you here?" she asked, letting him go gently, with a pat.

"We came to see how you are holding up...If you needed anything," Kakashi replied, placing a hand on his hip. It seems the apple didn't fall too far from the tree indeed.

"Nothing I can think," she trailed off, her eyes widening and her fists clenching.

"What is it?" he demanded, setting himself in front of her.

"No. It can't be! He survived that from point blank range? Is he even human? GET OUT OF THERE YUKI!" she screamed.

Kakashi understood immediately what was happening. The kunoichi hadn't left to get away from people for personal reasons. No...she had wanted to watch the fight alone, and keep an eye out for her younger sister.

Ignoring his better judgement, he shook the young woman awake, until they were eye to eye.

"Whatever is happening out there, you need to tell me. Is she in danger?" he asked, noticing the wild eyed stare which overcame her.

"Yes...very much so."

"Alright then." He turned and faced her godmother who shook her head.

"If you even think of leaving without me, you've got another damn thing comin."

He nodded his approval, and smiled, before considering how he would reach the battlefield. The only option available and the fastest route to his daughter would be to teleport there using Kamui. Grabbing Anko, he infused his chakra to his eye quickly before making the jump, catching sight of Akira, Naruto and the 5 Kage rushing to his position.

Sorry guys.

As they returned to the dusty environment, Kakashi fixed his eyes upon the smoke screen scene and watched it unfold in absolute horror.

"No..."

YUKI POV

He's still alive. Damn him!

Pain flooded her mind and shock overtook her as the agony from her injuries became too much for her to handle. Blood poured from her mouth, as her skin peeled. The blast of the attack had been much smaller than she had been led to believe. In fact, the fact that she had survived meant something had intervened with her jutsu at the last possible instant. The young Hazukashii had intended to blow them both up, with hope that the close range attack would have been too fast for him to interpret and counter. It might have if not for his hand touching her chest right before the bomb exploded.

"Owowowow! That hurt," she cried out, staring at her body in amazement. Even though she had been somewhat spared from the explosion, the blast wave had charred her arms, legs and face to the point it was like peeling old paint off a drywall. Her right leg was twisted at a right angle, away from her body, and her right arm's ulna stuck out of the skin, exposed to the wind.

"Seems you were unlucky to be caught in the blast. I barely managed to escape with my life as well, but you got the full brunt of your own attack. Foolish really. A good attempt. You might have caught me, if not for my Rinnegan absorbing some of the chakra pre detonation."

Yuki glared at him from her position on the ground, and called upon the Juubi for chakra, which came. Unfortunately at the rate her body healed, Madara would be more than capable of killing her two or three times over.

"Damnit," she swore, pushing herself up on the Truth Seeking Blade she had created. Her leg gave way, and blood poured from her mouth. It was obvious that the ninja had taken a great deal of internal damage. Slipping she fell back onto her ass, wincing. The elitist watched her pain from a distance, and she couldn't help but feel hope slipping through her fingers like cold water.

"I'm not finished yet," she stated, wielding her blade. If she had to keep fighting she would, until the moment that victory was denied.

"Well this next attack shouldn't miss," Madara stated four of his orbs coming to the front of his body.

"Now you die!" he screamed.

Yuki's eyes widened, and she attempted to teleport, her body too damaged to anything but throb with pain. As the technique got within a foot of her position, time seemed to slow down.

I...I can't let it end this way! I can't get out of the way...

Fear blossomed in her chest, as realization set in. There would be no help coming into save her. Shifting her body, she lifted her blade to attempt to cut two of the attacks out of the way. Yet before she could react, a swirling in the air caught her and Madara's attention. The swirling manifested into two people who held their arms out. The swirling continued and the four orbs vanished from the world.

"You okay, sweetie?" the woman stated.

"Sorry we are a little late. We weren't aware that the situation was so dire," the man chimed in, kneeling down beside her.

The chakra she had summoned up, had finished its job. The only thing that remained was her leg, which she forcibly reset, grounding her teeth in pain.

"Ho..how are you here? Mom...Kakashi-sama!" Tears of joy filled her eyes, refusing to spill yet threatening to.

"It's going to be okay. Can you fill us in on the enemies abilities?" Kakashi asked. She ignored the question, forcing herself to stand, her wounds almost done healing. Glancing to her arm, she noticed that in order to heal that, she would need far more time than her parents and Madara had.

I'll do without then.

"He's got his Rinnegan, Wood Style Jutsu, and those orbs which you just absorbed. Don't touch them. If you do, your body will take heavy damage from them."

"You've gained a more fearsome look," Anko joked, pulling senbon out of her tool holster.

"Yeah well...I fear this power maybe only temporary,"she replied.

Glancing to her father, she watched him raise two fingers, and glance to her.

"Let's take him out, right?"

Yuki nodded her affirmation.

"I don't care how many of you there are, the outcomes will not change," Madara stated.

Yuki shifted her weight, and pulled her cloak tighter.

"This ends now. I will not let you harm my daughter ever again!" Anko shouted. A burst of wind and purple chakra overtook the kunochi, pressing against Kakashi and Yuki, who both raised an arm to ward it off.

So powerful! When did she take the Cursed Mark to its second level?

The chakra flowed rapidly, and Anko pushed off, leaving a trail of dust in her wake. Yuki followed her with the Byakugan, impressed by the amount of chakra which now consumed her godmother. As she neared her target, five giant snakes emerged from deep underneath the ground flanking the Uchiha, who swung his rod in a circle destroying each one of them.

"C'mon, Yuki."

"Right!"

Focusing she teleported right behind Madara, who turned to face her, giving her the opportunity to be the distraction. She knew he was still concerned with her power, as she was a heavy he turned his back, Anko took the opportunity to fire four small snakes that reached him in a second biting into his arms and legs. The wood clone died a second later, the real man flanking from behind.

"Dad!"

"I know!"

Just as Madara's strike touched her stomach it phased through. Yuki took the time, and sent two strands of her hair forward to grab the real body, watching as the remaining orbs formed a wall to seperate her from him.

THERE!

Madara turned a moment too late, as a giant electric wolf materialized a millimeter from his face.

Before the attack struck, Yuki fired a stream of water through his guard piercing through the Uchiha's chest. For the first time, the attack was solid, sending Madara sprawling across the ground. As he stood yet again to face them, Anko tackled him, her eyes wide with insanity, a genjutsu forcing the Uchiha to hold still momentarily.

What is she doing? Wait...that handsign! OH NO!

"MOMMMM! Don't-!"

Before she could react, two extremely large snakes emerged from the earth, and swallowed the pair, hiding them from view. Yuki watched before teleporting back to her father's side, an explosion rending the heavens and earth anew. The dark clouds vanished, and the flowers burnt to ash, as the explosion destroyed a ten mile radius. Smoke filled the earth, before noticing her dad was collapsed on a knee.

"You okay?" she asked, reaching out to touch him.

"Just...just a second."

Swirling filled the air, and out of it an alive and slightly shaken Anko emerged.

"I got her at the last moment," Kakashi stated with a broad smile.

"Alright! Time for a-"

Her Byakugan caught sight of it, her heart stopping in her chest. As her godmother turned, a smile on her face, Yuki knew what she did. A single black staff had pierced her stomach, and in the hole now lay a single black orb.

No! NO!

Rushing forward, she chased her godmother intent on removing the sphere, only to be grabbed by Kakashi.

"NO!"

"Now it's my turn," Madara sneered.

Tears poured down her eyes, as the man stared at her, his Rinnegan seeing into the depths of her fear and soul.

"PLEASE! DON'T-!" she screamed, resisting the bonds that held her, as Madara raised a hand.

"I love you, Yuki...and am proud-"

Mid sentence the sphere turned white, blinding of the family.

"STOPPPP!" she screamed, the very cry a prayer to the heavens, which would not answer.

A conflagration kicked up, and then in a flash Anko Mitarashi was vaporized from the earth. Not blood, nor sweat nor a hair of her survived as the flame ripped her into nothing. As the smoke dissipated, Yuki fell to her knees, and true sorrow filled her heart.

"It...it can't...be..." Yuki Hazukashii whispered as memories with the person she had called godmother filled her head. Madara's laughter echoed in her head, as she stared at the dust, comprehension and shock passing over her in seconds.

"Mom! You...You KILLED MY MOTHER! YOU BASTARD!" she screamed, her vision blurred by the tears that filled her eyes.

Brushing off Kakashi, she teleported, her blade meeting another staff, which he manifested his eye wide with shock. Her ferocity was unrivaled as she beat him backwards, each blow too fast to be interrupted and too strong to be blocked. Her spheres moved independently of her, seemingly striking from everywhere simultaneously. Her will knew no bounds, and she rushed forward, her blade slamming into a Susano'o rib, as he attempted to ward off her attacks. Her tears faded, and her strength came in a flow that was controlled, and precise. Firing her hair as needles, she missed her intended target. Madara created clones, who were run through by her blade one after another. The smile that had covered his face vanished, as he realized the pressure was winning and pushing him back foot by foot. As Susano'o's ribs cracked, he swung his staff, the attack hitting through the after image. As he turned around to face the real body, he destroyed yet another mirage. As his gaze returned to the front, Kakashi was only a millimeter from him, a Raikiri aimed to kill. Hair wrapped itself around his body from his left, preventing movement. Yuki noticed he was about to use Shinra Tensei, and prepared her counter attack, Kakashi vanishing into Kamui and her teleportation, making his push miss.

"RAIKIRI!" Kakashi shouted, his blade tearing through his chest. Yuki watched Madara twist around, shock appearing on his face.

"Get him now Yuki!" he shouted, the staff returning the favor and piercing through his chest multiple times, striking multiple vital points.

Yuki closed the distance, her left arm grabbing the broken bone out of her right arm, and imbuing the most destructive power she could into it. Mixing Water and Lightning Style jutsus, her left arm became a blade which could pierce the darkness and rewrite destinies.

"Ranton: Raikiri!" she screamed, thrusting her attack at him. His staff came upwards to block the incoming attack. Spinning mid attack, her feet pinned the weapon to his chest. As he raised his free hand to block the next part of the attack, Yuki saw her father lock his hand in place. Inverted with both feet pinned against his chest, their eyes met for a moment. Slamming it with all her strength into the elder Uchiha's heart, she released a Gale Style current that lit the sky up brighter than a supernova. Purple chakra rushed through the spot, paralyzing all three shinobi, until finally the girl was spent. Releasing her hold on him, she grabbed her godfather, who winced in agony. As she brought them down to the ground, she glanced over her shoulder. The bone was a technique that had entered her mind from the Ten Tails. A technique which dissolved any living thing into dust.

Kaguya used that technique to provoke fear into the hearts of many people.

Yuki nodded her head, watching as Madara started to fade into nothing. Staring at his Rinnegan, she teleported once more and stole it from his body, listening as he spoke his final words.

"You...you killed me. Very good. But you cannot save him...I will take his soul with mine."

Horror filled her face once more.

"That final strike...I...connected my chakra network to his...and when I die, he will follow shortly. Thanks...to his hand on my arm...I was able to do this...Hahahaha"

His laughter drowned to nothing as he vanished in the wind, cold sinking into the bones of her body. Teleporting to her father's side, she held his hand, watching his palette turn pale white.

"No...Not you too. I...If I hadn't been reckless. If I hadn't...I killed you! This is all my fault!"

Tears poured down her face, and she clutched him tighter to her chest, her sorrow all consuming.

"It's...okay. I'll be with Anko, and we can discuss...how proud...we are. I love you...so much...Shhh...It...will...be..."

Her eyes widened as his hand fell to the earth, and she howled endlessly at the wind. Her words became rapid and incoherent.

"Itshouldhavenotfairwhoamiwhatwillidonowwhocanisthisall?"her mouth uttered each syllable seemingly unexistent. Her sobs racked her chest, and she dug her nails into the earth.

Madara's final words ringing in her ear.

If I had blocked the last attack, I would have died with him...It's my fault that Mom, and Kakashi-sama are gone. I...I...wish I'd been enough to win.

Hanging her head, grief consumed the kunoichi, even as Black Zetsu emerged from the earth.

"It seems you have won the war and this fight. Congratulations. Your victory was well earned, descendant of my mother."

Yuki faced him, her face stained with salt from her tears.

"What do you want from me, Black Zetsu?" she asked, wincing as her stomach pains grew.

"You overused everything in that last fight. Granted if you decided to you could kill me, but right now, I wanted the Juubi."

Yuki glared at the plant thing, before letting out a low moan.

"Take it. I don't care what happens to me."

"If I do, your gifts will be gone. Your life, as a shinobi will be over. The Ten Tails only wants one thing. All chakra to be united again with it. So that being said, it will take your strength if I do."

Yuki nodded, placing a hand on the seal.

"I...I don't care anymore. Do with it what you will. Just leave the ninja world out of it. Got it?"

The creature nodded, as the beast was removed from her body inch by inch. The seal sapped her strength, exhausting her. The gifts she had became inaccessible as the bijuu stole all of her chakra, sapping her dry. As the last of her energy faded from her body, Zetsu placed an arm around her waist holding her up.

"And now what will happen?" Zetsu asked, his voice gravelly in her ear.

"Now...I don't know. I killed Kakashi and Anko. I can't return to the village...I just wish...I was gone."

Zetsu smiled, before replying

"I can assist you with that."
