Chapter 30 an unfortunate end
A/n: hey everyone, Well I finally have a new cell phone after keeping my IPhone 4 for over 5 years. And I have lost my unlimited data as well, So that means I I'm gonna have to make sure not to go overboard with using up all my data. Sadly that includes using my apps too. But I can counter this. I can use my iPad to still talk with all of you on fanfiction and on skype since my iPad isn't a part of my phone plan. So I just wanted to get that out of the way.

Everything was going well so far, Save for Asami's group losing their minds over what they heard. And Asami herself believing that Ross and his father betrayed her, Other than that things were somewhat alright. But little did they all know that their makeshift safe haven was about to be destroyed.
-Downstairs near the back entrance-
Reikokuna was walked walking over to the entrance as he was smiling at his new clothes that he had on, He was wearing the 2014 Guilty Gear XRD Sol Badguy cosplay outfit, As well as wielding the fire seal sword in his right hand as he carried his claymore sword on his back. Reikokuna smiled darkly as he approached the back entrance doors.
"Alright, I think we've all had enough free time" he said as he placed his left hand on the doors locks and started to melt them, That's when Asami's group ran over to him.
"What the hell are you doing you fool!?" Kaito said "Don't open the doors!".
Reikokuna just grinned at the members of Asami's group.
"And what makes you think that I'll listen to you?" He said as he broke off the melted lock "Now it's time to get what you all deserve!".
-meanwhile-
Ross's group were all walking together as they all wanted to kill some time until Ross and Koukennin were done talking in private. Kaz was looking at his bag that had all the new weapons in it, Kaz was in utter bliss.
"Oh this is so cool!" He said as he looked at the weapons that he had collected, He then saw a very unique weapon in his bag.
"Hm?".
The others stopped and looked at him.
"what's wrong Kaz?" Kohta asked him.
Kaz then placed the bag on the ground and pulled out one of the weapons, Kaz was almost foaming at the mouth at what he had.
"Oh yeah baby! This is the legendary heavy pulse rifle from the iOS version of Dead space" he said as he held the weapon up "This bad boy has unlimited ammo, And it cools down when it heats up".
As Kaz was looking over his new toy, Saeko was thinking as she had her arms crossed.
"I think we should confirm our plans for the future!" She said getting everyone's attention "We had a plan set up! But things have already changed! Rather than leaving tomorrow morning as planned, We're leaving today as soon as possible!".
Kaz nodded at her words "In other words...we can't always count on things working out according to plan" he said. Saeko nodded.
"Indeed, We need a plan B. Our current goal is to make sure That Miyamoto's parents are alright! Then we'll take care of looking for Takashi's parents. Am I right?" Saeko said.
Everyone nodded except for Kaz who just kept his arms crossed, Saeko noticed this as she walked over to him.
"Something wrong Kaz?" She asked him.
Kaz sighed as he glanced at her.
"You forgot that we found Ross's father" he said "Plus not only that Saeko, But we now know who is behind the outbreak". Kaz was right, They had almost forgot about that. Saeko pondered.
"So what do you think we should do?" She asked him, Kaz just shrugged.
"I'm not really sure..." He said "There are too many choices".
Takashi added into the conversation.
"Well...I think the first thing is to go to our parents homes and see if our parents are there. After that, We'll think of a safe place to escape to with them" he said. Saya then adjusted her glasses.
"And in case that we don't find them there..." She said "We should just go to other places close by where they may be! The east police station and Onbetsu elementary". Shizuka raised her hand "But what if they're not there either?" She said.
Takashi tightened his right hand.
"If that happens..." He said, Rei then spoke up.
"I don't really want to think about it..." She said "But we'll end the search there! Then...we'll just do our best to stay alive". Saya just looked at her "You don't mind giving up?" She asked. Rei smiled at her "It's not giving up! We...just have other things to worry about" she said.
Alice then tugged on Rei's arm.
"Hm? What's wrong Alice?" Rei said.
Alice glanced at the ground before looking up at Rei.
"But after we end the search, Are we gonna try to look for Ross's mom?" Alice said "After all she has the cure", Everyone looked at each other.
"Now do you see what I mean about how we have too many choices" Kaz said "Although, The plan that we have now is good. So I'm down with that". Everyone nodded in agreement.
Kaz then picked up his weapon bag and held the heavy pluse rifle on his shoulder "Ok. If we're gonna reach our goal, We'll have to mobilize like a special forces unit and infiltrate the enemy's territory!" He said.
"Avoid 'Them' at all costs!" Saya said "If we do run into them".
"Run away!" Alice said "Even if you can't run".
"You shouldn't react by screaming or shooting" Shizuka said.
Rei looked at the ground.
"It sounds difficult already. I feel so bad making you all come with Ross and I..." She said.
"Don't sweat it" Kaz said "We're a team, And as a team we have to stick together. No matter what", He then patted Rei on the shoulder as she looked at him smiling at her. Rei smiled back at him.
"I guess your right" Rei said happily as she looked at everyone "Thanks".
-a few minutes latter-
The group were all talking with one another as they all tried to kill as much time as possible for Ross and his father to arrive. Takashi, Kohta, And Kaz were looking over Takashi's shotgun.
"Okay, This little piece is just made of some clamps and breakpads that are used with the bicycles, And a skewer. So it'll probably break after one use" Kohta said. Takashi held up his shotgun as he looked at the new modification.
"No this is good. It gives me another alternative" he said, Kaz and Kohta grinned.
"Another alternative? It almost sounds like you enjoy the thought" Kaz said with a smile, Takashi rubbed his head "Hey, Hey. I do have two good teachers after all!" He said.
He then saw Alice walk over to them.
"Hm? Alice what's wrong?" Takashi asked her.
"Where's mine? Do I get a weapon?" She asked, The boys were in shock when she asked that. Kaz quickly thought of something.
"Alice, You don't need a weapon. After all you have Ross, Takashi, Kohta, And I" he said "We're all your weapons, You don't need to carry anything".
Alice smiled brightly.
"Okay!" She said as she ran off over to Saya, The boys watched her.
"How long..." Takashi said getting Kaz's attention.
"Hm? What do you mean?".
"What I mean is, You know she'll have to use some weapon eventually".
Kaz just shook his head at him "No she won't" he said. Takashi tilted his head at him.
"What?".
Kaz glanced at his heavy pulse rifle.
"What I mean is. She won't have to use a weapon because we can be her weapons, We've been doing so for a while now" he said.
Takashi now understood.
"You make a good point" he said.
He then turned to Kohta.
"Hey Kohta, If we're leaving now then you should try talking with Asami". Kohta sighed.
"She called me a four eyed pig, And Ross a traitor" he said, That's when Kaz placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Everyone has something that can make them snap like that. We just don't want you to have any regrets about her, Okay" he said, Kohta smiled brightly at him.
"Yeah, You're right...you're right!" He said as he then ran off to go find Asami.
"Just hurry up!" Kaz called out to him, Kohta nodded as he then ran into Saya.
"Ah...Takagi".
"It could be advantageous if we had a police officer around!" She said, Kohta nodded as he ran off. Saya then glanced over at Kaz and Takashi.
"What are you two looking at?" She asked them "You both have your own problems to worry about, Just as we do. Besides that kind of thinking will just get in the way! Besides...blood is spilled in human relationships for two reasons: Money and Sex!".
Kaz and Takashi both blushed madly at Saya's last sentence.
'S-sex...hehe, Hahaha' they both thought.
Just then.
"PLAY TIME IS OVER!".
-Rooftop-
Asami was on top of the roof as she looked at the view, She was having so many things running through her head. She really felt bad for what she had called Kohta. But she felt truly bad for what she said to Ross and his Family.
"Asami's just useless. She always does her best, But she's still useless. Her boyfriend left her, And she's a failure of a police officer, And even Kohta doesn't like her. And Maybe Ross hates her too, And Koukennin..." Asami stopped talking when she said Koukennin's name. She had always seen him as a father figure to her, He was someone she could be herself around when her mentor was not around at times, And he always made sure to make her smile.
Asami then smiled to herself.
"Koukennin...is probably looking for Asami".
That's when she heard something behind her.
"There you are. Are you feeling ok?" The voice said.
Asami turned to her side to see that it was Daichi and Emi as they stood near the edge.
"Yes I'm fine" Asami said "Ah! What's wrong? It's dangerous over there!".
The elderly couple just smiled at her.
"Oh don't mind us, We're just getting some fresh air" Emi said "But we must thank you again, You helped me stay alive a little while longer". Asami then waved her arms franticly.
"No, Asami- this officer didn't do anything special! It's Ross you should be thanking" she said, Emi shook her head.
"No it's you. If not for you, We'd be done for already" she said.
Asami waved her hand.
"No no, Even if Asami wasn't here it wouldn't be any-".
"Asami!".
Asami looked over to see Kohta panting.
"What?" She said.
Kohta kept breathing until he balled up his fists.
"Asami! Come with me!" He said.
Asami didn't know what to say, She had so many things in her head running all over the place.
"Uh, By come with you do you mean...I'm so glad you-ah, No, I mean, But Asami, Asami can't be called a real police officer so you just...I mean...", She then started to tear up as she looked at the ground.
"Kohta, You...uh...kohta...Kohta..." She then glanced at him as she then ran over to him and held him.
"Take her with you. Let Asami come with you! Asami wants to stay with you, Kohta!" She said.
Just then.
"PLAY TIME IS OVER!".
The two of them looked over as Kohta started running.
"Kohta!?" Asami said.
"Let's go!" Kohta said as they both ran back to the group, Daichi and Emi just watched them smiling to themselves.
"It's so nice being young" Emi said.
"We used to be just like that" Daichi said.
The two of them then stood over the edge.
"I always wanted to have a daughter like her" Emi said as she held her husband, Daichi smiled at his wife "We'll be able to in heaven" he said. The two then walked off the edge of the roof to there deaths.
-meanwhile-
Reikokuna was smiling darkly as he looked at Kenta who was on his knees as he looked at his wound.
"Y-You're fucking shitting me. That didn't just happen!" He said, The other members of Asami's group were in total panic. Reikokuna just started laughing.
"hahahah! How does it feel?" He mocked "This is just a warning to the rest of you who try to mess with me!" He then started to walk away "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to invite our friends inside".
The others just watched him walk away.
"That demon actually stabbed him..." The young survivor said.
"What do we do? He's in pain!" Akane said, That's when the other survivor started running.
"Are you running away!?" Jurou said.
"I'm gonna get that nurse" the survivor said, As he was running he then glanced over the balcony to see 'Them' inside the mall, He also saw Reikokuna smashing the glass windows letting more of 'Them' inside.
"Oh my god, He's letting them in! Reikokuna's letting those monsters in!" The survivor yelled, The others were now scared out of there minds.
The other survivor kept running as he was looking for Shizuka.
"Fucking hell..fuck-" he then ran into someone as he felt to the ground, He looked up to see the other group. The man started stuttering.
"Uh..b-big trouble...Reikokuna...he...there was a-" he was then cut off by Saeko.
"Get a hold of yourself and tell us what happened, Man! Take deep breathes and start over!" She said, The man did as she told him.
"Ok" he said as he took a deep breath "Reikokuna has gone off the deep end! He's breaking all the barricades and letting those things in here!" He said, The others were in shock.
"Damn him!" Takashi said as he gritted his teeth.
Saya sighed as she tried to think of a plan.
'Crap! What is that jackass thinking!? Ross and his father aren't back yet. And we're now on the clock! I have to think of something fast!' She thought.
"We need to get out of here and fast!" She said "There's an emergency exit on the second floor", Rei looked at her.
"There's a staircase there" she said.
Shizuka started getting scared.
"I'm afraid of heights" she said in a weak tone.
Yuuki sighed "Is this the time to worry about that?" She said.
Takashi loaded his shotgun.
"I'll go ahead! Hirano and Hideki, You two back me up! Don't shoot unless it's to save your life" He said, everyone nodded at each other. That's when the survivor spoke.
"W-Wait! What about us? What should we...?".
"That's for you to figure out" Asami said "It's all over, You're on your own now. You need to figure out what to do for yourselves...y-you should decide what to do on your own. Because Asami's made a big decision...she's going to quit being a police officer". Everyone smiled at her decision. They all then heard footsteps come from the front of them.
"That's a very bold choice, But I'm happy to hear it" a voice said, The others saw that it was Ross and Koukennin. However, Koukennin was now wearing the Artorias armor set. Along with welding the greatshield and greatsword.
Asami smiled brightly.
"Koukennin!" She said happily as she hugged him, Koukennin returned her big as he looked at the others.
"I heard what Reikokuna has done, And we need to get out of here as fast as possible!" He said, they all nodded in agreement. Ross then glanced over as he pulled out his sword and slashed down one of 'Them'.
"We better hurry" he said "There is no time!".
"Got it! Let's roll!" Kaz said as he activated the heavy pulse rifle as started shooting down thousands of 'Them', They all ran down the hall as they made sure to watch out for 'Them'. They ran over to the barricade that Shimada had made.
"Game over!" Shimada said as he killed one of 'Them', However the horde was coming in by the tens and he was having a hard time killing them. That's when Ross's team killed some of 'Them', Takashi stabbed one of 'Them' with his skewer, That's when it got stuck as the undead zombie fell on top of him.
"No!" Asami yelled as she smacked the other undead down in one blow, Kohta, Takashi, And Shimada were impressed.
"Heh, Not bad for a kid" Shimada said.
Asami smiled a bit not noticing that 'They' were coming toward her, Koukennin then slashed 'Them' down with his greatsword. He then blocked one of 'Them' with his greatshield, Rei then came over and stabbed 'Them' with her bayonet.
"I hope I never get used to killing like this!" She said.
"Look on the bright side" Saeko said with a smirk on her face, She then cut off one of 'Their' heads.
"At least you're better off than me!" She said with a large grin. Rei just glared at her "What's that mean!?" She said. That's when Ross walked over two them and kissed them both on the cheeks.
"Now now girls, Now fighting" he said playfully as he went back to killing 'Them', Rei and Saeko smiled at him as they followed him. Shimada then looked over at Takashi.
"Can I ask you something?" He said.
Takashi looked at him.
"Sure I guess..." He said.
The boys then saw Ross activate his lightning as he threw a lightning spear at 'Them'. Shimada gulped.
"What the hell are you guys?" He said.
Takashi just sighed.
"Don't ask me" he said.
That's when Saya started panicking.
"They're coming from over there, Too!" She said as she held up her weapon "I'm gonna shoot!". Kohta yelled at her.
"Ah, No, Don't shoot!" He said.
Saya then glared at him.
"What now fatass!? Do you have a better idea!?" She said.
"It-it's just that they're more than 50 meters away! You don't have any practice with that gun, So even with a stock there's almost no way you'll hit! And besides...".
"Besides what?".
"You didn't receive any orders to fire from our leader!".
Saya glanced at Ross who was walking over to her after he just kill one of 'Them'. She then huffed.
"Humph, Well geez I'm sorry!" She said, Ross just placed his hand on her shoulder and smiled at her.
"Don't be sorry" he said "You made a good observation. I should have noticed them sooner", Saya was blushing madly as she then turned away from him.
"I get it love, You're the main character. But...what are we going to do about over there? They'll reach us soon" she said. Ross smiled at her as he then walked forward.
"Oh?" Ross said as he started grinning as his eyes went bright yellow, Rei then called out to him.
"Ross!" Rei said.
Ross then turned his head over to her.
"Yeah?".
"Are we changing plans?".
Ross just grinned more.
"Isn't that what we always do?" He said "But first, Kohta, Asami, And Kaz should secure the emergency exit! Rei and Saya, You cover Shizuka and Alice! Saeko and my father will take the rear!".
Saeko then thought of something.
"But what about you Ross?" She asked him, Ross then glanced at his father. Koukennin then slowly nodded his head at him. Ross sighed as he then stabbed his sword into the floor.
Everyone was a bit confused by his actions.
"Ross...?" Takashi said.
Ross then crossed his arms over his chest as his hands touched his shoulders.
"As for me? Well, I'm going to try out my final new power" he said, He then charged up his lightning as it then became red as it then surged up all over his body.
"DRAGON INSTALL!" He shouted.
That's when his whole body was covered in a white light, The others shielded themselves from the light that covered Ross's body. The light lasted for a few seconds before dying down, As they all removed there hands from there eyes they were in total shock. In front of them was a figure that was covered in red demonic armor, it had claw like gauntlets, Dragon like armored feet, a black cloak that was on it's back, And a dragon like demon helmet that covered the whole face that had it's teeth on the outside.
"R-Ross..." Yuuki said. The others were in complete disbelief.
"What in gods name is that!?" Kaito said.
"Just what did he transform into!?" Akane said.
Shimada just had his mouth drop in utter fear.
'Shit! Good thing I didn't mess with him!' He thought.
Rei then took a step forward as she held out her right arm.
"Ross...darling..." She said, Ross turned to her as he then let out a loud demonic roar.
"Roooaaarrrrwwww!".
Rei covered her ears from his roar.
"Ross stop! It's me Rei!" She said, Ross kept roaring as he then started to stop.
"Rooaarrww...ugh!...damn" Ross said in a demonic tone as he cracked his neck side to side "Who would have thought that transforming like that would be so painful for the first time", He then looked at Rei as he walked over to her.
"Rei what's wrong?" He asked her, Rei just looked at him.
"Ross...is that really you?" She said.
Ross looked at his new form and nodded at her.
"Yeah...it's still me" he said "I'm still the same old Hikatori you know and love", Rei then gently placed her hands on his armored body.
"What is this? What kind of final power is-".
"This is Dragon Install" Koukennin said as he walked over to his son "This is the final transformation of the bloodlust drive, In this form Ross will be able to unleash even stronger attacks, withstand more damage, And move fifty times faster". He then sighed a bit "But remember what I said Ross, You can only use this form once a day. So use it wisely, If you go beyond the limit then you'll end up putting yourself as risk that will lead to an untimely young death".
Ross nodded at his father.
"Got it, I'll make sure to keep that in mind" he said, Koukennin smiled at him as he then walked forward.
"That's my son, Now let's hurry!" He said. Ross nodded as he grabbed his sword, Alice then ran over to him.
"Angel!" She said.
Ross turned to her.
"Yes Alice?".
"Can I bring the bike?".
Ross gave her a thumbs up, Alice smiled as she ran over and got her bike. However, The other group butted in.
"Wh-what about us!? What do we do!?" Akane said, Ross then turned to the other group as they all had uneasy looks when they saw him in his Dragon install form.
"How should I know? And how should I care" he said.
"What's that supposed to mean!? You're just gonna leave us!" Akane said, Ross then shrugged at them.
"You can try to escape along with us, Or you could hide out on the roof. The choice is yours but you better decide quick!" He said, That's when Jurou yelled at him.
"I've never seen such irresponsible young people! Your parents must be ashamed!".
That's when Koukennin grabbed Jurou by the collar and held him up.
"The only child that I am ashamed of is Reikokuna. I am very proud of my son Ross, And I always will be proud of him. I never wanted him to have this kind of life, But I can't change that now. But I love my son Jurou, And besides. You might think that my son's friend's parents may be ashamed of them, But we won't know that until we find them. But give them a break here...there only high school students" he said as he dropped Jurou on the ground, Ross and the others were speechless.
"Dad..." Ross said.
Koukennin turned to Ross's team.
"Sorry, Just wanted to get that off my chest" he said "But we need to hurry. They're coming". Everyone nodded as they all ran off, Kohta, Kaz and Asami ran to the emergency exit. As they opened the door they saw large amounts of undead all over the mall parking lot.
"Crap! This is bad" Kaz said "We won't be able to get rid of this many, Maybe if I smile them with the pulse rifle?". That's when Asami had an idea.
"Asami will be right back" she said.
"Huh? Uh, Okay" Kaz and Kohta said in unison.
Asami ran back downstairs to the others as she ran past Takashi and Saya.
"What? Did something happen!?" Saya asked her.
"What's going on!?" Takashi asked.
Asami turned to them S she kept running.
"There's something Asami needs! Cover her!" She said, Rei then ran after her.
"I'll go!" She said.
"Good luck!" Takashi said.
The two of them kept running until Asami ran into a fireworks store, She then started looking through the fireworks.
"What are you looking for?" Rei asked her.
"Let's see, Regular fireworks won't work. We need those things that blow up when you throw them" she said, Rei then looked over and saw a small bag of fireworks.
"You mean cracker balls?" She said, Asami turned to her and nodded "Oh, yeah!" She said as she had a found a basket full of fireworks "We need some fire crackers and some of these too". She then handed her a bag of fire crackers and cracker balls.
"Give this to Alice!" Asami said, Rei just looked at her.
"Shouldn't we test them first?" She said, Asami sheepishly smiled.
"Oh right! Do you have a lighter?" She asked, Rei twitched her eye a bit "Think about who you're talking to! I'm in highschool!" She said. Asami looked left and right for a lighter, That's when she saw Jurou pull out his.
"Ah!".
Asami then ran over and grabbed his lighter.
"Hey! What the hell are you doing!?" He said. Asami then lighted one of the fire crackers.
"Sorry, But in public places. Smoking is not allowed!" She said as she threw the fire cracker at one of 'Them'. The fire cracker landed on one of 'Them' as it then started to go off attracting the other undead.
"All right!" Kohta said.
Saya then started fuming.
"Of course! Why didn't I think of that!?" She said, Alice just looked at her "Why are you so mad Saya?" She asked her.
Saya then glared at her.
"Because I'm me!" She said, Asami then handed some fireworks to Alice.
"Alice, Here".
"What's that for?".
Saya just looked at her "Just pipe down and I'll tell you!" She said, Saeko then interrupted them.
"Everyone! They're still coming! Let's get through the emergency exit!" She said, Ross and Koukennin ran forward.
"Let's go!" Ross said.
That's when Akane called out to them.
"Wait stop! How can you leave so suddenly!?" She said, The others ignored her as they headed out. Kenta was rambling to himself.
"You're gonna die, Everyone's gonna die!" He said.
Jurou just watched them leave.
"People these days, I swear" he said, The young survivor ran past him "I'm just glad that the brats are out of our hair" he said as he turned to Kaito "You coming?" He asked him, Then just as he turned around. One of 'Them' got a hold of him and killed him. Kaito was in utter fear as he started running for his life.
"Don't eat me!" He yelled as he ran away leaving Jurou behind, Jurou just looked at him.
"H-hey! Don't leave me here!" He said, That's when he glanced over to see 'Them' coming straight for him. Jurou panicked.
"Why? How? Dead bodies coming back to life...that's the stupidest thing that I've ever heard. This can't be happening, It just can't be!", He was then killed by 'Them'.
Kenta was smiling as he saw 'Them' coming after him next.
"Yes!" He said "If I'm dying, Then I'm going out like a badass!" He said as he started swinging his knife at them, Sadly 'They' killed him in a matter of seconds. The other group was making there way to the emergency exit. The other survivor looked at Ross.
"Hey kid, If you guys find any help out there. You think you could", Ross turned to him and nodded.
"Sure thing" he said "You don't wanna come with us?", The survivor shook his head "Adventure isn't really my thing" he said "But I wish you the best of luck!".
Ross nodded again.
"Same to you!".
They then went there separate ways, Asami just looked at them.
"We're not abandoning them. They chose to go with there group" Kohta said. Asami nodded at him as Saya spoke up.
"We should be able to escape with no problem now!" She said. Kaz then added in.
"Wait! What about Reikokuna? He could be anywhere out here" he said, Everyone had uneasy looks on there faces. That's when Koukennin smiled "Well, If he gives us any trouble. Then will just take him down a bit" he said with pride. Everyone looked at him as they all smiled.
"Then we're all set!" Takashi said as they all ran down the stairs, As soon as they reached the parking lot Alice looked over at Shizuka.
"Miss Shizuka, Let me see the bike" she said, Shizuka gave Alice the bike as she got on and road off. She then stopped at some of the undead and threw some of the cracker balls at them as they went off. The group smiled at her, Saya just sighed.
"What use am I if I don't do all the thinking..." She said, That's when she felt Ross's gauntlet hand on her shoulder.
"Hey don't sweat it Saya, It's not that big a deal" he said as he charged at 'Them', Saya sighed as she smiled at him "Yeah yeah, Easy for you to say" she said as she followed them. The group were in the center of the undead.
"Oh this is gonna be fun!" Ross and Kaz said in unison, That's when Rei spotted someone on top of a car.
"Ah! Over there!" She said.
The group saw the boy as he was calling out to them.
"Please help me! Please! I don't want to die!" He said.
Kaz sighed "Crap, How are we gonna reach him?" he said, That's when Shimada stepped forward.
"Guess it's up to me" he said "I'll do what I can to help him", Kaz just looked at him.
"What's with that look?" He asked.
Shimada smiled at him.
"Aside from letting myself go with that hot nurse. Did I ever do anything to make you think I was a bad guy?" He said, Kaz sighed as he walked forward.
"Besides trying to beat me in a fight" he said "But none of that matters now".
Shimada smirked.
"True, It doesn't" he said, Asami then came forward.
"Don't do it mister" Asami said.
Shimada just smirked.
"Don't call me that, It makes me sound old" he said as he ran forward.
"I don't need a title!".
He then bashed 'Them' in the head as he went after the kid, The others just watched him.
"What do we do!?" Saeko said.
"There's another 200 or so coming in at 5 o'clock!" Kohta said.
Takashi gritted his teeth.
"Dammit!" He said.
That's when Kaz ran forward as he had his heavy pulse rifle at the ready.
"I'll take care of them!" He said as he started firing at 'Them', Everyone was in a bind and they were running out of time. That's when Asami ran after Shimada.
"Asami's going to back him up!" She said as ran, Kohta panicked.
"Asami! Don't do it!" He said as he then looked over at Ross "Hikatori!", Ross nodded at him as he and his father stood forward.
"We'll back them up as well, Are you ready Ross?" Koukennin asked him, Ross grinned "I'm always ready!" He said. The two then charged after Asami as they killed any undead that stood in there way, Shimada was at the cars that the boy was standing on top of.
"Help me!" The boy said. Shimada looked up at him as he took down one of 'Them' "Quit being a pussy and fight!" He said. That's when some of 'Them' were coming from behind him.
"Ah shit!".
However, They were all quickly killed by Ross and Koukennin. Asami made her way to the cars.
"Sorry about that!" She said to the boy "Hurry and come down!", The boy did just that as h made his way down to the ground. That's when they were surrounded.
"Not good" Ross said, Shimada looked over at Asami.
"You got anymore of those fireworks?" He asked her.
Asami shook her head
"I gave them to Alice!" She said.
Shimada sighed as he took down some more of 'Them'. "Perfect..." He mumbled as he looked at the boy "Get out of here!" He said, That's when one of 'Them' bit him in the back.
"No!" Asami shouted.
"Crap!" Koukennin said.
Shimada glanced at his wound as he looked at the boy again.
"Just go! You're on your own now! Get the hell out of here!" He said, The boy nodded as he ran off. 'They' quickly surrounded Shimada and killed him, Asami saw 'Them' cover her exit. She was afraid as she started firing at 'Them'. The undead kept coming in droves, They were completely surrounded. Ross charged up his lightning as he coated his katana with it.
"I won't let us die! I'l kill them all!" He said, Koukennin then placed his hand on Ross's shoulder "Don't even try!" He said "There are way to many of 'Them' for you to handle. You'll be overwhelmed".
Ross gritted his teeth in frustration.
"Fuck!" He yelled.
The others were panicking.
"Asami! Ross! Koukennin!" Kaz yelled as he aimed his pulse rifle at 'Them' as he pulled the trigger, Only for the gun to overheat. Kaz then grabbed his pistol and fired.
"Shit! My pulse rifle is overheated!" He said as he shot down three of 'Them', Kohta then joined him as well.
"We're not gonna lose them!" He said as he shot 'Them', Takashi then stopped him.
"What are you doing!?" Kohta said.
"We can't let any of 'Them' come near us!" He said.
"But we have to save them!".
"There's nothing we can do to help! They're overwhelmed by 'Them'!".
Kohta looked back at them as he gritted his teeth.
"B-but Ross can-".
"He can't handle that many..." Yuuki said "It would only get him killed faster".
Kohta was freaking out, He didn't want to lose Asami. And he really didn't want to lose his best friend either. As they were thinking of ways to help them, Ross, Asami, And Koukennin were trapped.
Asami was out of bullets, She then looked to see Kohta.
"Kohta..." She said in a whimper.
Ross tighten his fists in anger.
"So this is it huh?" He said to himself, Koukennin then grabbed him and Asami.
"We only have one last choice" Koukennin said, Ross and Asami were confused by what he had meant.
"What do you mean Koukennin?" Asami said, Koukennin smiled at them as he then got on top of the cars. He then hugged the both of them "You two are gonna be just fine" he said as he then threw them as far as he could. The two of them landed away from the undead horde, The others were in shock as they all ran over to them.
"Asami!" Kohta said as he ran as fast as he could to her, Asami looked over to see him run over to her as she then ran after him.
"Kohta!" She cried as the two then embraced each other, The others joined them.
"Oh thank god!" Saeko said, She then looked over to see Ross as she ran over to him.
"Ross!" She said, Ross got to his feet as he looked to see Saeko run over to him. He then looked over to see his father on top of the cars.
"Dad! What are you doing!?" Ross said.
Koukennin just smiled at him.
"Don't worry about me! I'll be fine!" He said.
Ross then reverted back to his regular form as he then ran after his father.
"No, I'm coming to get you!" He said, Koukennin then called back to his son.
"Ross it's ok, I'll be fine. You don't have to-".
That's when something impaled him through the chest.
"Ahhhh!".
Ross freaked as he heard his father scream in pain.
"DAAAAD!".
Koukennin coughed up a lot of his blood as he looked at his chest.
"End of the line...father".
Koukennin then slowly turned his head to see that it was Reikokuna.
"R-Reikokuna..." He said that in a weak tone, Reikokuna then pulled his fire seal sword out of Koukennin's chest as he then held him by the neck.
"So long traitor" Reikokuna said darkly as he then slashed his father's head clean off his neck, He then kicked his father into the horde of undead as they began to eat his lifeless body.
Ross was in utter shock at what he just saw, The others had seen it as well and were just as shocked as he was. Ross then felt something within him snap.
"REIKOKUNA!".
He then charged at him as he then tackled him to the ground and started to beat him.
"I'll fucking kill you!" Ross yelled.
Reikokuna then slammed his right leg into his chest as he then threw him to the ground and kicked him aside, Reikokuna glared at his younger brother.
"Yeah, Let's see you try th-".
Bang!
Reikokuna felt a bullet go right into his left shoulder, He glanced up to see that it was Asami that had fired at him.
"You little whore! You're gonna pay!" He said as he then ran at him, That's when Saeko ran forward at him as she did a front flip over him as she then slashed his left leg, Forcing him to kneel to the ground.
"Agh! You!".
That's when Takashi and Rei cam at him, Rei stabbed him in the right side of his chest with her bayonet as Takashi then smacked him across the face with the butt of his shotgun. Reikokuna was taking a beating from Ross's team, That's when he moved back from them. He then stood up a bit ignoring the pain in his leg. Kohta then shot at Reikokuna's chest, Landing about 5 or 8 bullets in him. Reikokuna gritted his teeth from the pain he was in.
"Is that all you guys got!?" He mocked "You'll-". That's when Ross charged at him and slammed a black lightning volt into his abdomen, Reikokuna spat out a bit of his blood and saliva as he then quickly glanced at his brother and grabbed his arm as he then started to burn it.
"Gahhhh!" Ross cried in pain as he felt his arm burn, Reikokuna then flared up his right fist as he then punched Ross in the face knocking him to the ground. He then flared up his foot and started to stomp on his chest repeatedly.
"You little shit! This is what you get!" Reikokuna said "Thanks to this new weapon of mine, It amplifies my powers to the max! So your nothing more than dirt now to me! Thus, Making me the ultimate one!". He kept stomping on Ross until he was shot in the arm.
"Gah! The hell!?", He looked to see that it was Kaz that had shot him.
"Hehe, Looks like your slipping" Kaz said "You know for a Hikatori, You're pretty worthless". Reikokuna's eye twitched a bit, He had just called him worthless. And that alone was an insult to his pride, He then walked over Ross as he then pulled his fire seal sword from his side and charged at Kaz.
"L'LL SHOW YOU WORTHLESS!" He roared, Kaz smirked as he had Reikokuna in his trap.
'Perfect, He's now in a blind rage. Making him open to all attacks' Kaz thought as he then grabbed his sword as he stood at the ready, Reikokuna then proceeded to strike him, But his attack was deflected by Kaz'a sword. Kaz then slashed at him but Reikokuna blocked his attack with his fire seal sword, The two then slashed there swords at each other over and over. Kaz could feel Reikokuna's sword slashes getting stronger and stronger.
'Hmm, Looks like I better think of another alternative' Kaz thought, He then dropped kicked Reikokuna as he fell to the ground. Kaz then took the opportunity as he pounced on him and started to beat him senseless.
"This is for my friend that you murdered!" He said as he kept lading blows on him, Reikokuna's body and face were badly injured. He wasn't going to last any longer the more he stayed trying to face them.
That's when Reikokuna stopped one of Kaz's fists as he then threw him aside as he stood up a bit still in pain from his legs being shot.
"This isn't over..." He said as he tried to make his escape, Only for Ross to strike him down with his double lightning volt, Kaz then proceeded to throw Reikokuna in the air as he got his heavy pulse rifle and fired over 49 shots at him in mid-air. Kaz then turned to Ross.
"Go for it man!" He said, Ross then ran at Kaz as Kaz then launched him int the air at his brother. Ross then activated his bloodlust drive as he surged a bit of his black lightning and slammed Reikokuna into the ground as hard as he could. As Ross was descending, He moved his body over his brother as he then landed one hard lightning charged punch into Reikokuna's chest breaking a few of his ribs.
Reikokuna felt a huge amount of pain in his whole body, Not only that he felt his pride was completely broken. He knew that he wouldn't stand a fighting chance now. As Ross was about to land another blow, Reikokuna kicked him off of him as he then used his firefly ability to escape. The others saw him leave as they all smiled.
"That's right! Run you coward!" Kaz said, He then turned to the others "Let's get out of here on the double". Everyone agreed as they all ran off. Kaz then turned to Ross who kept looking at the horde of zombies that were still eating his father. Kaz placed his hand on Ross's shoulder.
"Ross..." Kaz said.
Ross's hair then started to grow out.
"He killed my father..." Ross said.
"I know, And we'll get him back for that. But right now we have to get out of here" Kaz said, Ross sighed as the two ran from the mall.
