Chapter 39 homecoming

-a few hours latter-

The group was back together as they were walking out of the forest. Ross and the girls had found Kaz passed out in a pile of leaves, Kohta and Asami were sleeping together on a log, Alice and Zeke were sleeping next to a tree, And Takashi was stuck in the sand.

"Aw man! That was one wild night!" Kaz said "I can't believe that really happened".

"I'll say!" Takashi said "Anything happen to the rest of you?". Rei, Saya, Shizuka, Saeko, And Yuuki all had blushes on there faces, They didn't want to tell anyone about what they all did with Ross.

"Oh nothing, We just feel asleep that's all" Saya said "Right girls?", The girls nodded as they looked at Ross who was walking ahead of the group.

"Speak for yourself" Ross said "I ended up getting lost in the forest, Next thing you know. I'm on a rock somehow", Everyone laughed as they saw the beach house within there sights.

"There's the beach house!" Ross said "I'll go and get our weapons!", He then ran off using his lighting dash to the beach house. Kaz then started to run after him "Hey wait up!" He said as he chased after him, Kaz was running as he finally made his way to the beach house.

"Whew! Made it!" He said "Got everything Ross?". However, When Kaz glanced at Ross he saw that Ross was looking at something.

"Hm? Dude you ok?" He said to him.

"Who's that...?" Ross said.

Kaz was confused by what he meant as he looked in his direction, Who he saw was an older woman who was wearing a long white trench coat, Black jeans, Had black long raven like hair, Purple eyes, And a nodachi katana on her back.

"Huh? You think she just got here like we did?" Kaz said, Ross shrugged "Beats me" he said "I'm gonna go find out!". He then ran at the stranger.

"Just be careful!" Kaz said as he went inside the beach house.

Ross ran over to the person as he called out to her.

"Hey! Hey! Over here!" He said, The woman turned to him and looked surprised.

"Oh my! You frightened me" she said, Ross scratched the side of his face.

"Oh dear, I'm sorry about that" he said "My friends and I didn't think that another human being would come here". The woman smiled at him "Well, I mostly come here to gather plants for my research" she said "This island is also wear I stay when I want to get away from it all".

Ross smiled at her.

"Awesome!" He said, The woman nodded at him "So? What's your name if you don't mind me asking" she said.

Ross then placed his hands in his sneaking suits pockets.

"My name is Ross Hikatori" he said with a smile, That's when the woman's smile quickly faded.

"Wait...your name is Ross H-Hikatori?" The woman asked, Ross nodded at her "You bet!" He said.

That's when the woman grabbed his arm and held him into a hug.

"Oh my god! You don't know how happy I am to see you!" She said, Ross quickly got out of the woman's grip, "woah! Wait, What do you mean happy you are to see me?" Ross asked. The woman just blinked at him.

"Ross, You mean you don't know me?" She said, Ross shook his head at her.

"Nope, Sorry. Care to refresh my memory" he said.

The woman smiled at him as she crossed her arms.

"Ross it's me" she said "Your mother".

Ross's whole face then went pale.

"What...what did you just say you were...?" Ross said in shock, The woman kept smiling at him.

"Ross I'm your mother" she said "Tsumetai Hikatori".

Ross just looked at her as he then balled up his fist letting his lightning surge around his fist.

"Tsumetai!" Ross shouted as he then raised his fist and tried to hit her, However Tsumetai quickly saw this as she dodged his attack.

"Ross Hunny, What's gotten into you?" She asked.

"I'll kill you!" Ross yelled as he then created his lightning blade "My friends and I have been looking at over for you! Now we're going to stop you!".

Tsumetai just sighed as she placed her hands in her pockets.

"I see..." She said "Then I guess I can stop this act", Ross raised an eyebrow at her "What do you mean?" He asked her.

Tsumetai then snapped her fingers "Reikokuna!" She said, Before Ross could act he then saw a huge circle of fire surrounding him. That's when a figure walked through the fire.

"Hey baby brother! Did you miss me?" Reikokuna said, Ross gritted his teeth as he saw his older brother.

"You!" Ross said as he then charged at him, Reikokuna smirked as he then charged up his fire seal sword and slammed it into the sand creating a shockwave. Ross was sent flying back into the beach house as he went through the side of the house.

Ross slowly got to his feet as he saw Reikokuna walk over to him as he had his fire flaring around his body. Ross then tried to think of a plan.

'Damn! This isn't good, We'll have to regroup to take him down' he thought, That's when he ran to the other side of the beach house.

"Guys! I found Tsumetai! Let's-" Ross quickly stopped talking as he saw that his friends were all knocked out by some people wearing white and black armor. Ross just stared at them.

"What...what the hell are you guys!? What did you do to my-".

Smack!

Ugh!

Ross fell to the ground as he was knocked out by Reikokuna, Reikokuna then picked up his brother and held him over his shoulder. "I thought that this would be a little easier" Tsumetai said as she walked over to him. Reikokuna sighed.

"Trust me it wasn't" he said "This brat was quite the challenge to get", Tsumetai just crossed her arms at him "Are you sure? From what I saw you didn't have any trouble throwing him into the beach house" she said.

Reikokuna shrugged "Meh, Let's just get him back home" he said, Tsumetai nodded at her son as they walked off along with the figures in armor. That's when Reikokuna stopped as he turned to his brother's unconscious friends.

"What should we do about them?" Reikokuna asked, Tsumetai glanced over at the others.

"We'll bring them with us" she said as she looked at the figures in armor "Take them to the Blackhawk", The figures in armor nodded as they got Ross's friends as they all went to the Blackhawk choppers and flew off.

-seven hours latter, Location unknown-

"Ughh,...what happened? Were am I...?" Ross said as he slowly started to gain consciousness.

"Ah good, You're awake" a voice said. Ross glanced over to see Tsumetai sitting in a chair, And Reikokuna standing next to her. Ross started moving violently trying to break free from his bonds.

"What is this Tsumetai!? Where am I! And where are my friends?! Answer me dammit!" Ross yelled, Tsumetai sighed as she looked at Reikokuna.

"Reikokuna, Could you be a dear and shut your brother up please" she said to him, Reikokuna nodded at his mother "Of course" he said as a smile formed on his face.

Reikokuna then walked over to Ross as he then punched him in the chest as hard as he could knocking the wind out of him.

"Gahh!" Ross then coughed up a bit of his blood as he looked at Reikokuna with hate in his eyes.

"You're gonna pay!" He said to him, Reikokuna then held Ross by the head "Oh really now?" Reikokuna said "And how will you stop me?". Ross then smiled at him "You'll see, Once I get out of here" he said.

Tsumetai then walked from her desk and over to her sons "That won't be happening anytime soon" she said "I brought you back home, Where you truly belong. You've wasted your young years living in a false life for so long".

Tsumetai then smiled at Ross.

"But now you're home, And that's all that matters to me".

Ross just glared at her.

"And just where is 'Home' Tsumetai?" He asked her, Tsumetai sighed as she walked over to her desk and picked up her nodachi. "This place is called paradise island" she said "A fitting name for your home don't you think son?".

Ross just kept glaring at her.

"Don't call me son!" He said.

Tsumetai just looked at him as she shook her head at him "Ross Ross Ross, You can't really hold a grudge against me can you? I am your mother after all" she said. Ross just kept his glare at her until his eyes went bright yellow.

"You've murdered thousands of people worldwide! What makes you think that I'll just forgive you for that huh!?", Tsumetai just looked at his eyes and smirked a bit.

"Interesting" she said "I'm glade to see that you've picked up on your bloodlust drive, When did you activate it? Age 3? Age 5? Oh wait don't tell me, Age 9 right?". Ross's glare didn't falter "Now" he said.

Tsumetai was in shock.

"Now!? You mean to tell me that you didn't unlock your bloodlust drive until this year?! You had 18 years to master your powers and this is how you use them!?". She then walked over to him and grabbed him by the neck "I created you! I made you what you are! I gave you gifts that humans would kill to have! And I find out that you have been wasting time them! I trained your brother 24/7 non stop to master his powers, And he has shown better results in the past few days. But this...this is unacceptable! You are supposed to be the spiritual successor! You are supposed to be better than your brother! What have you been doing for the past 18 years!?" She said.

Ross tried to speak as Tsumetai kept chocking him.

"L-living my life like everyone else...wanting to h-have...a normal life..." He said, Tsumetai released her grip on his neck as he was gasping for air.

"You have no 'Life' among those people that can never understand you, To them you're an outsider. A parasite that has no place in their world" she said, Ross shook his head at her.

"You're wrong...my friends understand me, And so did dad" Ross said, Tsumetai placed a hand under her chin "Ah yes, That traitor Koukennin. I still can't believe that he stole you from me all those years ago without me knowing, How is he?" She asked him.

Ross looked at Reikokuna.

"Why don't you ask your first born!" He said with venom in his voice, Tsumetai turned to Reikokuna "What happened?" She asked. Reikokuna only smiled at her "Simple, I killed him" he said.

Tsumetai only sighed in relief.

"Ahhh, That's my boy" she said, Ross then started to violently move about again "Fuck you! How dare you praise him for killing my father! Don't you even care!? He did his best to give me a decent life! And you don't even give a shit!" He said.

Tsumetai just rubbed her head in frustration.

"Reikokuna! Your brother!" She said.

Reikokuna punched Ross in the chest again causing him to grit his teeth from the pain, Tsumetai then pulled Ross's head over to her. "You're father was a very valuable person to me, His research helped fund my work tenfold and even more. And...he was able to give me two wonderful test subjects as a bonus" she said.

"Kiriko was right, You are a bitch" Ross said.

Tsumetai then slapped him across the face as she walked away from him.

"Kiriko was jealous of me because I was able to get your father first, She always did have feelings for the man. Heh, I bet she's losing her mind about his death" she said "Now if you'll excuse me. I have to talk to our guests. Reikokuna, See to it that your brother is entertained".

Reikokuna nodded as he coated his hands in fire.

"Oh don't worry! I will make sure we have some fun bonding" he said, Tsumetai smiled as she walked out of the room to speak to Ross's friends.
