"Out of my way!" Liam rushed the hooded boy with fire raging inside his hands. He clawed at him only for the spirit to jump high into the sky raising his wooden staff into the air and sending it down at Liam's feet who dogged just before it came crashing down upon his head.
'Haaahhhfgg' the hooded spirit let out a long choking gasp as it reached out to grab Liam's arms holding him in place as he slammed his staff onto his neck making the boy gasp out in pain falling to the snowy ground.
"D… dam it!" Liam looked up only to see the spirit lift his leg and sent his foot down onto his back. Liam cried out in pain as the spirit dug into his back. It's leg seemed to freeze the skin on his back, burning it with his cold.
"GET OFF HIM!" much to Liam's luck something smashed into the spirit sending it off Liam making it crash into a tree. Liam rose to see the spirit bleeding cold blue blood, a large spear of ice stuck through it's chest. Liam smiled with joy as he found his brother standing behind him.
"Tonraq! What are you doing here?" the older man smiled down at his brother and helped him to his feet.
"Thought you needed some help.. guess I was right." angred at his older brother Liam punched him in the gut making the older man clentch his stomack in pain.
"You idiot! We told you to stay with the folks! What if they get hurt you dumb ass!?" the older brother glared down at Liam.
"Don't start! Aunt Katara is stronger then the two of us combined! They're fine… besides, there's something I need to teach you." Tonraq walked up to the injured spirit, it looked up at the man it's dark blue eyes shining with madness. "just watch." Tonraq lift his arms and began to sway them gentle taking in a deep breath. Underneath the spirit rose two small waves of water that twisted around it slowly rotating in a spiral. The spirit gasped and smiled the anger and craze leaving it's eyes. A bright aura emitted from it as it slowly faded away along with the water. Once it was gone Tonraq placed his hands together and let out his breath in a long calm sigh. "Go in peace."
The raging blizzard instantly faded and the ice encasing Colossus, Gambit, and Logan melted away letting the men fall to the ground shivering in the snow.
"What did you do?" asked Liam confused.
"It's called purification. An ability passed down from our family to help heal a spirit." Liam stared confsued at his brother.
"Why are you showing me this?" Tonraq sighed and placed his hand over his face shacking his head.
"So you can use it on Vaatu, ya dodo!" he shouted. "You cant kill a spirit, you can only weaken it and seal it away." Agnry Liam pointed to the bloody ground where the spirit used to be.
"Then what's with the blood!? Explain that!"
"I don't know! Spirits are weird!"
"Ahem!" Liam and Tonraq stopped and turned to see the other men standing with their arms folded waiting impatiently.
"Can you two argue after we save the world?" said Logan already running up the path to Devlin. "I'm not about to let the pup have all the fun!"

Wiccan and I fought as hard as we could but the monster fought even harder. No matter how much I burned him and how much thunder Billy tossed at him nothing seemed to faze him, was was just to strong. He just stood there taking everything we threw at him.
'Is that all you can muster? Pathetic!' with just a wave of his hand he sent us flying into the snow. He chuckled to himself and then outright laughed. 'If this was all the champions of the lunar goddess could do I would have broke out of that cursed tree years ago!'
"This is… Hopeless." I stood up feeling my head ringing in pain, how the heck could we fight against this thing? Wiccan looked like he was already about to fall, but something in his eyes told me he had an idea. The man lift his arms and spoke in a clear voice out for the monster to hear.
"Power of frost hear my call,
Stop my foe and end this brawl
in a prison of ice
a cold cell wall!"
he stood there for a moment and then burst out in laughter.
'Do you really think your pathetic spell could ever do harm to…!' with out even being able to finish his sentence ice formed from his feet to his head in an instant, I turned to Wiccan and smirked.
"Please tell me that it was just that easy." the red clocked witch shook his head.
"It will not hold, but it can give us a chance to think.. if only for a moment." I turned to see the ice already starting to crack.
"Devlin!" as if an answer to our prayers Liam his brother and the guys ran trowed us. They stood with us looking at the ice tower and the spirit possessed body inside. Remy smiled and whistled.
"So this be the big baddy we have to fight. Looks like you handled it very well puppy." I shook my head and readied a ball of fire in my hands. I turned to see Wiccan staring at Liam like he had a second head.
"Its not over yet, the ice will break and we'll be screwed if we don't think of something soon." Wiccan turned to Remy, Logan, Colossus, and Tonraq.
"i have a plan, you four keep the spirit busy." he turned to Liam and I and pulled us away. "you two come with me."
"What do you have in mind?" I asked Wiccan turned to Liam and asked a question of his own.
"You have a special power within you. You can see and even speak with spirits. There is a spirit within him entangled within his body, we need to weaken him and pull it out before its to late… but I can think of only one way to do so. Devlin." Wiccan turned to me and held out his hand. "Take my power and use it to stop him."
"… I will, leave it to me." Wiccan smiled at me and I could feel the resolve in his heart. I took his hand in mine and a surge of electricity instantly rushed into me in a wave. I could feel my body changing from the inside out, my muscles became more define and my vanes glowed light blue along with my hair. I smiled as Wiccan pulled away from me, my entire body felt so warm and light like I could leave the atmosphere if I just jumped.
"Just remember to give it back, I'm not sure what will happen to you if you keep it." Wiccan looked sick but stood tall as he ran to join the guys telling them to retreat. Logan looked like he wasn't going to leave but when I gave him a look he knew I was going to be fine. He patted my shoulder and smirked.
"Kick his ass pup!" the guys all left save for Liam who stood by my side. He looked worried but from his eyes I knew he was in this to win it. I turned to the ice block holding the spirit as it started to shatter.
"You think we can do this?" he asked as he lift his arms and motioned them around the ground lifting it up and forming the earth into a blade with a burning edge. I smirked like Logan and motioned my arm over my heart and sending it quickly outward summoning a blade of solid blue fire that looked like plasma.
"No doubt in my mind." the ice block finally shattered into a thousand pieces in an explosion of purple and red light. The spirit turned to us snarling in anger.
'I have had enough!' the dark energy flowed around him shining bright and menacingly strong. 'you will die and so will every last person and sniveling creature in this weak and horrid world!'
"Come on then! Show me what you got."

The spirit jumped into the air and extended its arm firing a blast of purple energy at us which we rolled out of the way rushing at full speed at the creature slashing it with our swords in unison. The creature grabbed the blades of fire and stone and tossed them along with us high into the air.

I quickly summoned a wolf to grab Liam to use as a mount and used two balls of fire to keep myself afloat in the air. Hundreds of tendrils shot from the spirit's back rushing towed us in great speeds, using our blades we cut them as they approached us trying to whip us out of the air.
'You will not best me! I have lived for as long as this world was born! You will fall and turn to dust before a moment of my life i spent! Die like all of you humans should!' the spirit clawed his tendrils and from each limb fired a thinner yet stronger beam of energy at us that we couldn't avoid if we tried. I quickly rushed to Liam and formed a barrier of fire which shield us for most of the blast until it shot through crashing into my chest as I took the blunt of the blast. Liam quickly jumped off the wolf and grabbed me with one hand while using the other to fire a blast of fire downward to soften our fall.
"Are you OK!?" I grumbled in pain.
"Not really but I'll manage." I squeezed the fiery blade in my hand and stood ready for another wave of attack Liam doing the same.

the spirit rushed us only to be slashed with our blades, Liam and I moved together bringing our blades down on his back and slashed upward sending him smashing into the snow.
"Don't go easy on him! What ever was left of his body is nothing more then a shell!" saying so I jumped into the air feeling my tail sway behind me in a fury as I aimed my sword down to pierce his back.
'Dam you!' the spirit turned and shot out another beam of energy at me as I cut through it with my sword pushing it back with all that I had.

'I did not wait over a thousand years to be brought down by a remnant of the goddess! You will not beat me! You will not win! I will not be beaten by you!' I lift my sword high and brought it down pushing the blast back at him.
"YES YOU WILL!" the blast burned the spirit's body making it scream in pain. Now was our chance, I called out to Liam and he joined my side as we both charged a ball of fire in our hands that grew quickly as we aimed it at weakened spirit.

"Burn!" we shot out a stream of fire that combined and swirled together forming a thick stream of purple fire that nearly incinerated the body. The spirit's chard body continued to scream until the fire was spent and it sat there in the cold snow with small amethyst flames still burning into it's flesh which slowly began to heal.
"Now's our chance!" Liam shouted running at the spirit with me on his heels. Liam took in a deep breath and slowly moved his arms about as a pair of watery robins swirled around the body. Along with a golden glow that slowly rose around him.

The spirit cried out in anger yet could do nothing to stop what was happening as the golden light scattered leaving behind a broken empty body on the pure snow covered ground. Liam brought his hands together letting out a long drawn out breath.
"Go in peace." I walked over to the empty vessel that was my brother's body as Crest appeared behind me nudging my leg with his head.
'It is over… I am sorry for your loss.' I smiled down at the fuzzy wolf and patted his head.
"I lost him a long time ago…" a single tear fell from my eyes as I lift my arm sending a wave of fire to cremate the corpse. "I miss you… sleep well."
"Are… are you going to be OK Dev?" I smiled sadly back at him and nodded.
"Yeah… l.. lets go home." we walked away only for a loud scream to echo through the field of snow, we turned to see an odd sight. There hanging in the sky was a large red creature flat and in the shape of a kite with a large eye in it's center.
'I am not finished yet! I may not have a body but I will still tear this world asunder! You will all die…!?' before he could even finish his sentence a cone of light shined down from the sky entrapping the spirit inside burring it within the bright blue light. The creature screamed out in pain and writhed as the cone of light grew brighter and brighter. 'NO! You will not trap me again! I will not be imprisoned by you you bitch! Stop!'
'Hollow light,' voicing over the screaming spirit was the sound of a woman who sounded as if the light itself was singing. 'Purify.'
'AAAAAAGHHhhhhh!' the moment the words left her throat the beam of light became so intense it incinerated the spirit into ash only to fade away leaving a pile of ash where the spirit of chaos once lived. I looked up into the sky seeing a big bright crescent moon shining high in the sky as if it was smiling down on us.
'It couldn't be…' Crest smiled up at the moon and howled in our victory. We joined the guys and returned to the town as they were already rebuilding and searching for survivors. Liam rejoined his family and I watched as they hugged and laughed together. Crest walked up to me and nudged my arm affectionately. 'I know you miss them… I miss my mother as well.'
"..." I reached down and ran my fingers through his fur and sighed. "you have me… we're family aren't we?"
'Thank you Devlin.' our little moment was ruined when Remy hugged me from behind.
"Hello mi cher. You've done good killing that monster. You desurve a reword for that..." he turned me around and leaned down puckering his lips only to be biten by Crest in the ass. "Aie! What the heck wolfy?"
'I barley let the gruff one near Devlin if you thing you get a free pass your deluding yourself!' Remy quickly ran off with Crest fast on his heels. Logan came up to me and smiled down at me.
"Lets go home pup, are work is done here." I smiled up at him and leaned on his shoulder looking out into the deep blue sky.
"Yeah… Home."
