Chapter 50 mission complete

A few hours had passed since Ross was unconscious as the others had brought him to the boat that they had found, They were lucky that the boat had an emergency kit and three tanks of gas inside. Kaz had put the boat on auto pilot as they were leaving the island.

Takashi, Kaz, Kohta, Asami, Alice, And Zeke were all in the front of the boat as Rei, Saya, Saeko, Shizuka, And Yuuki were in the back room sitting next to Ross.

Ross was covered in bandages from head to toe as he slept soundly in Shizuka's arms. Everyone had worried that Ross wasn't going to make it when they found him, But they were very surprised that he was still breathing despite all that he had been through.

Yuuki and Saya held onto Ross's hands as they looked at him.

"You think he'll wake up?" Yuuki asked Saya, Saya just kept her focus on Ross "I hope so, I just hope that we were able to patch up all of his wounds" she said.

Then as if on Que. Ross started to wake up slowly as he moved his head a bit out of Shizuka's lap.

"Ugh...my head..." He said, The girls started to smile as Rei quickly held onto Ross.

"Ross! Your alive!" She cried as she nuzzled her head on his shoulder, Ross gently placed his hand on Rei's cheek "Yup, I'm alive...alive and- *cough* *cough* ahh...ahh...ok...maybe I'm in a bit of pain. But n-never better" he said. The others were instantly worried.

"Ross, Are you sure your alright?" Saeko asked him, Ross sighed slowly as he closed his eyes.

"Don't worry Saeko" Ross said "I'll be alright, I promise".

That's when the others came into the back room.

"Angel!" Alice said as she hugged Ross gently "Your ok! Your ok!". Ross nodded as he rubbed her head "Yup! *cough* I-I'm ok" he said, Kohta sat down as Asami sat next to him.

"You really scared us bro" Kohta said "But I'm just glad it's over". Takashi crossed his arms as he smiled "I know, Once we use this cure. Then it will be the end of 'Them' for good".

Kaz then pondered something "But even if the world is saved, Humanity will have a hard time getting back to what it once was" he said, The others were quiet as Kaz made a good point. The world would have a serious tough time trying to go back to the way things were.

"Well...I'm sure will pull through in the end..." Ross said, Everyone looked at him.

"What do you mean angel?" Alice said.

"What I mean is...*cough*...is that even though will have a very hard time trying to adjust to the way things were, I know that will make it work".

The others took Ross's words to heart as they thought about it for a bit, Shizuka smiled as she kissed his cheek "You make a good point" she said. "Agreed, It will be difficult at first. But over time it will be a cake walk" Saya said. Rei then looked out one of the windows on the boat.

"I just can't wait to go back home" she said.

"I know, I'm sure everyone is worried sick about us" Kaz said, Saeko then leaned over to Ross as she whispered into his ear.

"Ross".

"Mhm, What's what Saeko?".

"Once we go back home, Do you...do you want to stay with one of us?".

Ross thought about it for a bit, He didn't want to go back home mostly because it would only give him bad memories of his father not being there. And that alone would be hard for him to adjust, He then smiled at Saeko as he kissed her on the lips. Saeko returned his kiss as she looked into his eyes.

"I'd like that very much Saeko".

"So? Who will stay with?".

"Take a wild guess".

Saeko smiled brightly as she kissed him again "once our parents come home, I'll see if my father can arrange a room for you. Maybe even with me" she finished with a huge blush on her face. Ross blushed as well as he chuckled.

"Hehe *cough* *cough* *cough* I'll..I'll hold you to that. But we can talk about that latter, I could use some sleep. As should you".

Saeko nodded as she then got up "alright everyone! I think we should rest up now! We've been through a lot and I think a well deserved rest is in order!" She said. Everyone got up from there seats.

"We're not staying in here with Ross?" Rei said "Or are you just saying that so you can be alone with him?".

"Ross needs his rest and he needs to not be disturbed. So we're going to give him just that".

Saya then adjusted her glasses "You're right! We should get some sleep, This whole thing has been tiring" she said, Everyone then walked out of the back room as they left Ross alone to regain his energy, as everyone left Saeko then lifted up Ross's chin and kissed him one more time.

"Sweet dreams Ross" she said.

"You too, Saeko" he said.

Saeko smiled as she then walked out of the back room leaving Ross to himself. Ross looked out the window as he sighed.

"Well we did it, We saved the world, Stopped my mother from killing more people, And defeated that bastered Reikokuna. True many innocent people were lost as well as those who risked there lives to help. But...*cough*...*cough* *cough*".

That's when Ross started coughing badly as it started to get worse and worse, As Ross was covering his mouth as he kept coughing, He then coughed up a large amount of his blood as it spilled out of his hand and onto his lap. He then leaned back as he stared at the celling of the boat as his breathing was getting slower and slower. Ross then started to slowly smile as he closed his eyes.

"B-but...ahh...ahhh...but at least I got to be with the people that matter the most to me..." He then glanced at his hand as he saw a faint trace of electricity surge on his fingers.

"Sorry guys...but...looks like I...won't be coming home this time...".

-USS Anchorage-

The units that were deployed at the airport had been moved over to the USS Anchorage after they had been successful in taking out 'Them' at offshore airport. Rika and her S-squad leader were on the front of the ship as aroma was smoking.

Some of the people on the ship just looked at them "I heard that crazy bitch is the only reason that her unit is still alive!" One person said, Another person then walked next to him "Crazy bitch!? That's no way to talk about a hero! The thing is...is she said that's she going into the city!".

Rika was smoking as she looked at the water "I'll contact you once I'm in the city" Rika said, The S-squad leader nodded at her "You sure that you don't want me to come with you?" He asked her. Rika just shook her head at him.

"Nah, I'll be fine. Besides I know we're I'm going so this won't take long" she said, The S-squad leader smirked at her.

"Heh, Alright. Just be safe ok".

"Please, This is gonna be-".

Just then.

"Hey! We got something coming our way!" One of the soldiers yelled, Everyone ran to the side of the ship as they saw a medium sized boat coming toward them. The captain turned to one of his men "Get that boat on the double!" He said.

"Yes sir!" The soldier then ran down as he got his comrades to get the boat, Rika and the S-squad leader looked at each other.

"You think there are survivors in that boat?" Rika said, The S-squad leader just pondered.

"Guess we'll find out" he said.
