Okay, I am sorry. I was supposed to update at the beginning of break but I didn't because I am lazy. And a procrastinator. And I haven't showered in two days. It's been kind of a rough break. So, the night before I go back to school I decided to try to update.
"So your father really is an FBI agent." Sarah exclaimed when they walked to the elevator. They had just passed the security guard with just a wave from Neal, and were entering the elevator, which was thankfully empty.
"He's not my dad, he's just an overbearing guardian assigned to me by the state." Neal told her, somewhat bitterly.
"Oh, well that's still cool." Sarah responded, awkwardly. They rode in silence the rest of the way. Neal was almost relieved about the ding that signaled they arrived at the 21st floor.
Neal guided Sarah through the glass doors and past his desk, and he almost made it past Jones desk, but the agent had other ideas.
"Neal! Want to introduce your friend to me?" Jones asked.
"Not really." Neal said, and tried to get past him, but Jones stuck his hand out to stop the teen.
"Not so fast kid." Jones said with a smirk. He stood up and held his hand out to Sarah. "Hello Sarah, I'm Special Agent Jones. Its finally nice to meet the real person, instead of just seeing the pictures Neal draws."
"Its, uh, nice to meet you too Agent Jones." Sarah responded, masking her surprise well. Neal, on the other hand, had his hands on his face to try to cover the bright red blush that had exploded on his face.
"Yes, very nice. Now we have a project to do." Neal said, somewhat recovering from the embarrassment. Jones chuckled and allowed them to pass.
Neal hurried Sarah past Jones and up the stairs, hoping in vain that Peter was out investigating something and wasn't in his office. Unfortunately, the universe hated him.
"Neal! Why don't you bring your friend in here and introduce us." Peter said loudly. Neal groaned.
"I just can't catch a break this week." Neal muttered to himself. He turned to Sarah, giving her a small smile, and led her over to Peter's office.
"Hi, you must be Sarah." Peter said with a smile when Neal and Sarah entered his office. "It's nice to finally meet you in the flesh."
"Yes, apparently I am quite popular here." Sarah said with a smile.
"Well, Neal has drawn your face on many of my reports, so the whole office knows what you look like now." Peter said. Sarah continued to smile, although a bit awkwardly now, and just nodded.
"Well now everyone has thoroughly embarrassed me, we are going to the conference room." Neal said, leading Sarah out and going to the conference room next door, not before yelling one more things at him. "Don't you dare tell Diana where we are."
Neal ushered Sarah into the room, luckily no more agents stopped them. He practically slammed the door behind them and threw his backpack on the table.
"So you draw?" Sarah asked.
"Yea, and paint. And sculpt. You might have seen some of my work." Neal told her with a sly smile.
"Is it on display at school or in a museum?" Sarah asked.
Neal chuckled. "Something like that. Now lets get started."

After Neal had fled his office, Peter had gone straight back to work. He was still looking into everything they had found in Neal's apartment and trying to find any clues for what could be connected with Keller.
"Boss." Diana's voice came from the doorway. He motioned for her to come in.
"Find anything?" He asked, leaning back in his chair.
"I called the Uffizi Gallery in Florence and had them check the painting. It took them several hours to check everything, but it was identified as a forgery. They were really interested to know how we knew it was a fake." Diana told him.
"Well, I'll leave Hughes to deal with that one. What about the other one?" Peter questioned.
"The Annunciation? They checked that one, and it was real, but there was something interesting about it." Diana told him, and she handed him a file.
Peter opened it and scanned it.
"Some one left a note on the back saying that it was next, why?
"Don't know, but we will find out." Diana told him confidently. That's why Peter always liked Diana; she never backed down from a challenge. "Has Neal come in yet?"
"Yep, but I'm not supposed to tell you where he and Sarah are." Peter said, pointing to the conference room. Diana smiled and nodded. Technically, he didn't tell her.
"Thanks boss." She said as she left.
Peter leaned back in his chair again and looked at the case file. Why would someone leave a note on the back of a painting? It just didn't make sense.
So, hehe, sorry about this. Not my best chapter, but I just wanted to update. I have been trying to write this, but it gets challenging. Plus with college stuff and applying and senioritis, its tough. Sorry again! I started working on the next chapter already though, so hopefully that will be up soon.
