Chapter Eight

"Hey, wake up, sweetie . . . you're home, now," Kalila could hear her new, surrogate uncle murmur softly as he gently shook her body around forty minutes later or so, prompting her to stretch awake . . . only, she had never been asleep.

She had never honestly bothered to feign much of anything before, be it an illness or, within this case, fatigue, but Kalila simply could not bring herself to sit, trapped within that car with a man who was still a perfect stranger to her, and force conversation.

The way her on and off anxiety was going, she was fairly certain she would have let something slip while continuing her ongoing masquerade as the real Alazne, and so nearly the very instant Kalila had slipped into the front seat of Uncle Martin's car, as inconspicuously as she could did she express the desire to take a small nap until at last arriving home.

Kalila had admittedly felt bad for the excuse, especially having caught the greatly disappointed look upon her uncle's naturally pale face as she'd said so, as he clearly wished to play a bit of catch up, but at least she was able to use the impromptu break to mentally review all that Alazne had schooled her about the Vandom household before she arrived.

. . . . All right, Kalila, don't forget: Al's room, or your room, now, is on the second floor, first door on the . . . left. N-No! The right, the right! Ugh . . . please don't screw this up, Kalila! The future of your whole family is riding on this! Kalila mentally scolded herself as she slowly pretended to open her eyes sleepily, and smiled softly at the tall man next to her.

"Mmm? Ahhh . . . we're home, already? Boy, do you drive fast, Uncle Marty, but thanks!" the faux Alazne remarked with a fake yawn and another stretch, silently congratulating herself for what she honestly believed to be yet another pretty decent imitation of her absent twin.

Uncle Martin seemed to agree, apparently, as he merely chuckled before reaching across his seat to playfully ruffle the girl's short, strawberry blonde colored locks, which Kalila now understood to be something both he and Aunt Irma did a lot to Alazne, and which she could not stand . . . although she personally found it to be a rather endearing gesture.

"Ha, ha, little missy. If you'd have been awake, you'd have seen that I was perfectly within the speeding limit! But just for that, if I ever do get a ticket, you'll be the one footing the bill with your allowance!" he teased with a grin, before it curiously faded a bit as he then asked, "H-Hey, what's this, now? No frantically batting away my hand like you always do? Normally, you'd be threatening to bite it off for messing with your hair! Guess that nap did a number on you, huh?"

Oh, shoot! There's strike one, already, Kalila! Get it together! Kalila thought with momentarily widened eyes, before quickly forcing a light frown to gloss across her face as she scoffed.

"T-Tch! Yeah, well, you know I'm not a morning person, like, at all, Uncle Marty, and I did have to get up extra bright and early at my last day at camp, then drive all the way to the airport, then fly home, then drive home! So, excuuuse me for being a little out of it," she managed to quickly string together within explanation for her brief slip up, tossing in another one of Alazne's smirks before an added thought occurred to her. "And, besides! I mostly always hated when you and Aunt Irma would do that because my hair was just sooo long, and you messing it up would just undo all my painfully hard work to keep it straight enough! But now, that's no longer an issue, thanks to this haircut!"

Nice save, Kalila! Now, at least, if you ever do forget to act annoyed like Alazne for anyone else touching your hair, you can just remind them of this! she thought with a proud smile, watching with added relief as the blonde appeared further convinced of her long winded reasoning, as he simply shrugged and moved to unbuckle his seat belt.

"I got it, I got it, Sassy Pants! Now, let's get inside, before your Aunt Irma sends the FBI and half her bodyguards to go looking for you," Uncle Martin chuckled with a shake of his head, before both he, and a very amused Paige climbed out of the vehicle and immediately began unloading the trunk of Kalila's belongings.

Thankful to be temporarily out of the spotlight, Kalila took a moment to quickly re-straighten her hair and discreetly smooth out her t-shirt and shorts before finally exiting the car.

I definitely don't want to look like I'd just survived a tornado when I finally see Mom. . . .

Kalila's hazel eyes immediately widened once properly gazing upon what would be her new home for the remainder of the summer, a broad, excited smile plastering effortlessly onto her face.

Breathtaking.

That was the word which immediately sprang to mind the longer Kalila continued taking in the honestly awe-inspiring sight of the expansive, ivory colored house, with its ash gray tinted roof and exterior shutters, and wooden, multi-windowed double front door.

True, she had already seen what their mother's well earned house looked like from the multitude of Alazne's family photographs back at camp, but it was nothing at all like seeing it up close and personal, hands down. . . .

". . . . This is it. Fifteen-Twenty, Pinebrook Drive," Kalila whispered to herself within continued astonishment, as her feet began to automatically carry her toward the sealed front door.

She giddily reached out a hand to gently caress one of the many, small and adorable palm trees which were decoratively lined along the walkway as she continued her approach, feeling that much more excited about being within Florida, as there were unfortunately none back in Maine, as the weather would get far too cold by comparison.

"You're gonna have to move faster than that if you wanna get the huge, big hug both your mom and aunt have waiting for you once you get inside!" Kalila suddenly heard Uncle Martin playfully remark from behind, causing her to turn around momentarily to see his blonde head peeking out from the open trunk of his car, before immediately vanishing once more to presumably finish collecting the rest of his niece's luggage.

Kalila let out a soft giggle as she shook her head within amusement, feeling more and more confident that she and Alazne had absolutely made the right decision to switch places, as she now could not imagine never seeing the down to earth, and honestly goofy young man again after this.

"Well, you heard your uncle, Kalila! Better get in there!" she murmured to herself with an excited grin, taking a deep breath before honestly racing the rest of the way toward the closed front door and hurriedly pushed it open.

A gust of cool air conditioning gently caressed her face upon entering, which was admittedly quite the welcoming feeling to Kalila, as it was even more hot out within Florida than it had been back in Virginia at camp, and especially more so than back home in Maine.

Thanks to Alazne's drawn layout of the entire Vandom household, Kalila was able to immediately recognize where she was presently standing to be the foyer, with the great room and lanai further on ahead, and the kitchen and dining room to the left of both.

Which means that if I keep heading straight and take a right once I reach the great room, I'll be inside the hallway . . . which leads to Mom's master suite, Kalila mentally reviewed with another, rather large grin, as she honestly had to use all of her willpower not to take off into a sprint through the rather large, fancy house in order to finally meet her mother.

Kalila hadn't needed to, however, for as she carefully approached the spacious, and curiously dark great room, she nearly jumped out of her skin the moment the lights abruptly turned on and a resounding "Surprise!" rang out throughout the previously quiet atmosphere.

"O-Oh, God!" she cried out within alarm, beginning to giggle within amusement at the pleasant surprise, indeed . . . before her hazel eyes instantly became flooded with uncontrollable tears the very instant they locked with the undeniably familiar image of the woman she could have recognized within her sleep. ". . . . M-Mom. . . . Mom!"

It was honestly like being within one of her many, many dreams she'd had throughout the years involving this very moment, except that it was thankfully, finally real.

There she was, her slender frame standing tall with arms wide open and waiting for the obvious embrace Kalila was all too ready, willing, and able to give her.

Wilhelmina Vandom.

Her mother.

She honestly looked like something from a painting, in spite of the simple, pink blouse and white Capri pants she currently had on, and equally simple side ponytail which draped delicately across her right shoulder.

Within her present attire, the young woman looked every bit as the 'typical mother' that she was; however, to Kalila, she looked like a true goddess, just as she always did, from the very moment she'd first laid eyes upon her mother's photograph. . . .

With a sharp sob unavoidably escaping past her throat, Kalila catapulted into her mother's eagerly awaiting arms without hesitation, and promptly buried her face into the woman's chest as she immediately began to cry uncontrollably.

"A-Aww, sweetheart . . . what's the matter? You were so excited to leave for summer camp that I honestly didn't think you'd be happy to come back . . . but of course I'm very glad you are," her mother softly cooed against her ear as she squeezed her daughter every bit as tightly as Kalila was for her, her voice honestly sounding like sheer music to finally be able to listen to.

Kalila knew that she was presently and already blowing her cover as being the far less openly emotional Alazne by carrying on this way, and for the moment, at least, she did not care within the slightest, as she simply continued weeping joyously against her long lost mother's chest.

Wilhelmina seemed all too happy to oblige, however, as her own eyes became a bit watery while gently planting a trail of tender, loving kisses along her daughter's shoulders, neck, and finally atop her head.

She honestly couldn't remember the last time her little tomboy had been this openly affectionate with her, usually preferring playful spats and brief hugs and kisses as her way of showing that she indeed cared for her mother deep down.

Maybe I should send her away to summer camp more often, after all, Wilhelmina mused with a warm smile, stroking the false Alazne's continually heaving back before slowly releasing her from her arms.

". . . . I-I can't believe it's . . . i-it's you!" Kalila managed in between wet hiccups, smiling ear to ear as she freely allowed the tears to fall, and gazed on with undeniable adoration for the beautiful redhead now crouched before her.

Wilhelmina's rich, brown eyes slightly widened at the curious statement, wondering upon it a moment before simply chocking her daughter's honestly unaccustomed behavior as simply being relieved to be back home after having been away for so long without her for the very first time.

She reached out with both hands and gently cupped Kalila's small, now tomato red face in between them and smiled once more, using her thumbs to carefully wipe away the girl's tears.

"Ohh, honey . . . I can't believe it's you – A-And with short hair!" Wilhelmina mimicked the sentiment a moment, before blinking within utter surprise upon finally realizing that her daughter's strawberry blonde locks were long no longer. "When did you manage to do this, at camp? I should have known you'd try something bold once you finally left my sight. . . . At least tell me that you didn't do it, yourself?"

Kalila immediately began to giggle, a bit uncontrollably, in between her ongoing sniffling, as she began to wonder what her mother would think if she only knew just how bold Alazne could be, as the other girl was currently on a plane heading nearly two thousand miles away from where they were currently. . . .

"A-A . . . A girl I met and made friends with while I was there cut it for me, instead," she managed to respond with a deep breath as she attempted to finally calm down, and attempted to properly fall back into character. "I-It . . . It honestly got way too hot over there – I-I mean, hotter than even here, sometimes, since they had us stuck outside most of the time, you know? No fancy air conditioning to cool us down 'round the clock, not like our house! . . . . Do . . . Do you hate it?"

Kalila nearly burst into tears once more the moment she saw her mother's face grow rather stern, unexpectedly, as she slowly released her daughter's face from her grasp.

". . . . Do I hate the fact that you deliberately disobeyed me, when I've told you time and time again that I just don't want you having short hair, and that there's absolutely nothing wrong with it long, like mine? Why yes, I do," Wilhelmina stated within a serious tone as she straightened her posture and lightly frowned down at the now cowering Kalila, who began to want nothing more than to hide within a hole right at that moment.

To her utter surprise, however, Kalila then watched as Wilhelmina's previously grim expression effortlessly melted away as she gently reached out to run her right hand through the smaller girl's short, free flowing hair and smiled brightly.

"However . . . what's done is done, and it'll grow back, right? And, at least you apparently only did it for . . . good intentions, if you wanna call it that," she said with a slight nod, her smile growing wider as she affectionately added, "And no . . . I don't hate it. . . . I actually think you look rather becoming with shorter hair, if you want to know the truth. . . ."

Kalila felt as though her heart was going to burst, the amount of sheer pride and utter elation she was currently experiencing to have just received her very first compliment from her mother . . . while Wilhelmina's own heart suddenly felt a bit hollow by her own remark, and her mahogany colored eyes curiously became rather listless for a moment.

Having actually caught sight of the abrupt shift within demeanor, Kalila was about to ask if her mother was honestly all right when a loud, gleeful and female sounding voice suddenly rang out from behind the older woman.

"Ahhh, there she is, there she is! C'mere, already, and give your Aunt Irma – And the baby – a hug! Move over, Will!"

Kalila watched as her mother immediately snapped out of her previous gloominess and rolled her eyes with a smirk, causing the young artist to then realize where Alazne got the habit from.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm moving, Irma, I'm moving. But . . . shouldn't you be resting within the guest room like I told you to?" she asked the slowly approaching, heavily pregnant brunette, as both Wilhelmina and Kalila turned their attention onto her as she exited the empty lanai and entered the festively decorated great room . . . which Kalila only just then finally noticed.

A large, welcoming banner which read, Welcome Home, Alazne! draped itself from one end of the entrance way Kalila had come through to the other, while variously placed and blown up pink and white balloons surrounded it.

It was fuchsia within color, the banner, which she had learned over time to be both Alazne's, and their mother's favorite color, with the colors of the rainbow making up the fancily scrawled letters upon it.

Every letter, that is, except those which had made up Alazne's, however, as all six were covered within lavender tinted, sparkling glitter.

Out of the many, many pieces of various artwork she had both made and come across within her young life, her sister's poster – Her welcome poster was quite honestly the most beautiful she had ever seen. . . .

"Pfft! Yesss, Mom, you did, and then I immediately got up once you left the room to come finish setting things up in here, so that I could go finish setting things up for our barbecue out back!" Irma responded with a playfully dismissive hand toward the woman Kalila now understood to be a lifelong friend. "And besides! There was no way I was going to miss out on all the fun! Ohhh, I've missed you so much, Al-My-Pal! H-Hey, and look at you with the new do! Bet your mom blew a major gasket when she first saw it, huh? Well, I love it!"

Kalila, admittedly feeling a bit reluctant to leave her mother's side after having waited for so long to be by it, nonetheless lightly jogged over to her new aunt and gingerly embraced her with a broad smile, feeling it grow a bit more as she then unexpectedly felt the slight, although undeniable movement of the tiny life currently growing inside of the woman's protruding stomach.

"O-Oh, h-hey, Lil' Cous! I'm happy to see you, too – Well, you know what I mean," Kalila stated happily and very much within Alazne fashion by that point as she continued to gently hug her Aunt Irma, who gently chuckled within response. "And, of course, I missed you a whole bunch, Aunt Irma! Thanks, again, for having Paige pick me and lending us the use of your jet again to fly come! I just hope Marshall is starting to feel a bit better, since I heard that he's sick. . . ."

Aunt Irma vigorously nodded at this and smiled, as she too began to playfully run her slender fingers through the preteen's shortened locks while the two of them continued to remain locked together.

"Nothing but the best for my wonderful niece! And that goes for all my employees as well, if I can help it, which is why Marshall has the entire week off – With pay, of course, because I'm generous like that – and is spending it sequestered at his family's house! I did tell him that he didn't have to leave our house just because of one, little cold, but he said, 'I'd rather not take any chances and get you ill, Madam. We must be mindful of both yours, and the baby's well being. . . .' Meh. Oh, well! But I definitely picked a winner when I hired him as my butler, huh? So thoughtful, unlike someone else I kn -"

"- Were you about to try to lie to our niece, again, honey, about how I'm a supposedly terrible husband?" Uncle Martin's voice suddenly interrupted from his place at the now opened front door, causing Kalila to release her aunt, who was now giggling within furthered amusement, alongside her mother.

"Wellll, I did ask for that foot massage last night before bed, and you didn't give it to me," Aunt Irma playfully countered as she honestly waddled across the room toward her equally approaching husband after he'd carefully set down some of Kalila's belongings, and Paige, who had entered a few moments after him, had done the same.

"That's because you instantly fell asleep the moment your head hit the pillow!" the blonde fired back jubilantly as he lovingly planted a kiss against the still laughing brunette's soft, inviting lips, before wrapping a strong arm around her pregnant waist. "You seem to keep forgetting that you are having a baby, so just about everything you do now is going to wipe you out a lot easier, and faster."

"Mmhm, and which is why I'd asked for the foot massage in the first place, duh!"

"And why I told her to stay in bed while I finished taking care of things for Al's welcome back party," Wilhelmina chimed in immediately after her best friend with a playful, resigned sigh, while Kalila was simply content to continue watching within silence, and a very entertained smile upon her face.

She was nearly tempted to ask if her mother had felt anywhere near as fatigued while pregnant with both Alazne and herself at the same time by comparison, but immediately thought against it, as she felt it might have been a bit too soon to start curiously diving into her mother's past the instant Kalila arrived home.

Everyone's in such a good mood right now at having me back home that I don't wanna cause any possible drama . . . just yet, anyway, unfortunately, the young preteen thought with slightly puckered up lips as she continued to watch her new family carry on happily with one another, knowing fully well just how much chaos the truth was going to unavoidably cause once she eventually let it slip. But if I want Mom and Dad to ever get back together, then it's the only way. . . .

The next few hours had honestly gone by within a blur for Kalila, as she struggled to keep up with as many of the new and cherished memories she was continuing to make all afternoon.

After having been allowed to get settled into 'her' bedroom and change out of her travel clothes, Kalila had made a mental note to better take in the delightful sight of her twin sister's honestly very messy, fuchsia and lavender colored, sports-heavy themed bedroom.

Seeing where her long lost sibling personally lived was one of the things Kalila had been looking most forward to, to be honest, and what she did see definitely reflected the other girl's nature quite well; however, now that she was finally under the same roof as their mother, she didn't want to leave the woman's side for longer than necessary if she could have avoided it.

And so, without really looking did Kalila grab the first pair of shorts and t-shirt she saw inside one of Alazne's dresser drawers and put them on, before quickly racing back down the stairs and toward the backyard patio, in order to meet her family for the barbecue being held within her honor.

And that was where she remained for the rest of that first afternoon, sat honestly a little too close to her mother, at their patio table, laughing, talking, eating, and simply enjoying everyone's presence.

And as far as her continued performance as Alazne, if Kalila had to grade herself, she honestly would have awarded herself a B-plus and concluded her first day a success as, not counting the few slip-ups here and there upon her initial arrival, no one appeared to be none-the-wiser that whom they thought was the little girl they'd watched grow for the past twelve years actually was not . . . which Kalila wasn't honestly certain just yet if that was necessarily a good or bad thing, especially where their own mother was concerned.

Still, she would count her first day as an overall win, and her evening even more so, as the rather sizable house was finally emptied of its temporary guests, and it was now just the two of them . . . at last.

". . . . And that's what I've been up to while you were away. Same old, same old!"

It was nearly bedtime, now, and both Kalila and her mother were downstairs within her master suite, with Kalila sat within the middle of the woman's spacious, and plush bed, while happily continuing to listen to precisely what she had been up to while her daughter was away.

Kalila honestly believed that Wilhelmina really was a goddess, after all, the way she continued moving about like one, back and forth across her vast, organized and elegantly decorated bedroom with such grace and beauty, even for the simplest things as putting her day clothes away, and even brushing her teeth.

She especially looked positively ethereal to Kalila within that specific moment, as she attentively watched as the other woman calmly continued to gently comb out her now free flowing, armpit length crimson tresses with one of her hairbrushes.

Wilhelmina's peaceful reflection was smiling at her daughter as she continued to do so, perched in front of her ivory and gold framed vanity mirror, after having changed into her silk and ivory colored pajamas.

Today had honestly been quite the wonderful day, better than the redhead had expected, in fact, as her young daughter, although having behaved like her normal self, was also rather engrossed and continually doting all day.

To be fair, Alazne was a rather loving girl by default, anyhow, and had distributed such care among both her surrogate aunt and uncle, as well, and even Paige, who had been invited to stay and join in within the festivities.

Still, it was toward herself for whom Alazne had appeared to reserve the most amount of affection, which did make the successful veterinarian wonder on and off what could have possibly occurred while at that summer camp to cause her daughter to miss her family this much . . . to miss her this much.

". . . . My gosh, are you really beautiful, Mom," Wilhelmina suddenly heard Alazne murmur, causing her to immediately stop brushing out her hair in order to turn to properly face the softly smiling preteen.

"W-Well – ! . . . . What's the matter, honey? You've been staring at me and carrying on all day today as if you'd never seen me before!" the redhead gasped with a warm smile at her daughter's kind compliment, watching within slight amusement as the girl's cheeks immediately grew red.

"H-Huh? N-Nuh uh, of course not, Mom! Don't be weird on me, now," Kalila forced out as casually as she could, turning her head away from her mother a moment as she pretended to scratch an itch away from her left cheek and quickly thought of what to say next. "It's just that, you know, two months is an awfully long time in 'Kid Years' to be without a parental unit, so I guess I'm just realizing more and more how much I really did miss you, is all. . . . I'm just really happy that you're here, and that you're you. . . ."

Wilhelmina nearly became choked up upon listening to her daughter's ongoing and open display of tenderness, her eyes honestly transforming the soon-to-be teenager back into the little toddler who would follow her absolutely everywhere, and would actually want to hang out with her nonstop . . . and didn't yet cause as much mischief as purposefully possible, or argue with her for various, honestly senseless matters.

Kind of like how Mom and I used to be when I was a kid. . . . How ironic, the redhead thought with a soft smirk at the memories of yesteryear, before carefully setting down her hairbrush and approached the king sized bed where her daughter patiently sat.

". . . . And I'm just really happy that you're here, and that you're you, sweetheart . . . albeit far more . . . cuddly, today, I suppose you can call it," she remarked with another smile as she climbed into the bed next to the now giggling Kalila, who gingerly scooted over to one side. "And, at the risk of pushing my luck here, seeing as you'll probably wake up tomorrow and feel like you've had enough of your ol' Mom already, how about you and I have a sleepover tonight, just like we used to when you were younger?"

Kalila had to honestly stop herself from outright squealing, she was that thoroughly excited, as she had been silently figuring out a way for majority of that last half hour how to ask her mother that very same question, without possibly giving herself away.

Alazne had previously informed her sister that she would indeed sometimes sleep within their mother's bed on and off, however had admittedly stopped doing so about a year or two ago, as the tomboy had been feeling a bit too old to still be doing so.

Kalila, on the other hand, felt that she could have been fifty-years-old, and she'd still wish to curl up in bed with the older woman, and immediately smiled warmly at the prospect.

". . . . Could we maybe have a few s'mores, and some hot chocolate like we used to during them, as well?" she asked, a bit too sheepishly for her taste, although she did imagine that the real Alazne would possibly feel just as embarrassed to be spending the night within their mother's bed, after not having done so for so long.

Wilhelmina did not seem to mind, or even notice, as her honey brown eyes twinkled with delight as she let out yet another one of her lyrical sounding laughs.

"Well, only if you don't mind having to brush your teeth again afterward, or make everything, yourself, then sure!" she teased, gently poking her daughter's side before climbing back out of the bed and extended her soft, and inviting hand out to her. ". . . . Come on, then, honey. Let's go make our snacks, together."

"Yeah . . . together," Kalila murmured within reply and a soft smile, nearly launching her body off of her mother's bed before eagerly interlacing her fingers with hers, as the pair happily exited the master suite within unison.

Mother, and daughter. . . .

- End of Chapter Eight

(A.N. Mannn, did I just keep thinking of my Evie throughout this entire chapter, and channeling a lot of her into Kalila, especially the way SHE just always stares at me with such SUPER love and admiration within her eyes on a daily basis... =p Did I mention how much I lurvvvvvvvvvves mah baby? Well, toddler, now, but still. LoL

I also probably channeled a lot of myself into grown up Will, there, as well, during her 'Mom Moments,' which I imagine is a lot easier for me to carry on with NOW than if I had written this particular chapter back when I first started this fic, seeing as I wasn't anywhere near being a first time mommy yet. =)

And I know I definitely laid it on thick with Kalila associating Will with a goddess and some heavenly angel and whatnot, but, hey! I don't know about yooze guys, but I personally admire the SHIZNIT out of MY mommy and think she's the bee's knees, myself – And I've never been separated at birth from her and crap. LoL :p

ANYWAY! I hope I gave off a lot of 'feeeeeeeeeeeeeeels' for at least some of you while reading this, as I truly wished to capture that "HOLY spit, that's my mom! I'm actually meeting and talking to my mom for the first time, HOLY spit!" feeling which was admittedly more so felt within the remake than original movie. =) Still, both sides were cute, and I did once again sprinkle in a few inspired moments from each here and there.

And aren't Irmie and Marty so cute together? Sigh...=p

And palm trees. Gotta love them palm trees, damn it! Always been in love with them since the first time I went to FL when I was two-years-old. So. Yeah. Thought I'd put a piece of me inside of Kalila with her reaction over seeing them outside of Will's house. =)

But, yeah! There you have it, Kalila FINALLY meeting her precious mommy and honestly doing relatively well not to already blow her cover, although clearly Will was still a little "...Gwah?" about her behavior. Which, c'mon, man! That was another thing which bothered me as I grew older about both movies. LoL Like, you're seriously going to tell me that NEITHER parent, beyond a few eyebrow raising moments, WOULDN'T be like, "Waiiiiiiit a second, daFUQ?" about the children they'd singularly raised for a decade and change? Get outta here with that noise, seriously, dude... LoL I mean, twin or not, if that were ME, I'd either immediately know that Evie wasn't Evie, or at least figure it out by the end of the first day or two! But, hey. As yellow14 pointed out, there obviously wouldn't be much of a story if people were actually SMART. :p

Anyhow! Chapter eight and Kalila meeting/spending time with Will down! Onto chapter nine, with Alazne doing the same, but with her dad for the first time! =) )
