The Next Morning)
"I'm ready to go and get my first pokemon today." said Brady to himself looking in his backpack.
He walks over to his closet and grabs his new clean black shirt with a pokemon on the front and on the back a pokeball opening. He then grabs his blue jeans and another red and white hat matching a pokeball. He then walks into the bathroom gets dressed washes his face and walks down stairs to see his mom in the kitchen making breakfast.
"What did you make mom?" asked Brady sitting down.
"Well I made French Toast with Cheri Berry Syrup so eat up." said his mom.
Minutes later a knock at the door, sends his mom from the kitchen to the front room to open the door. It is Emma and Katie. Emma is in a white shirt and a grey jacket with a dark blue skirt and her hair is in curls. While Katie is also in a white shirt but she has a denim blue jean jacket and a navy blue skirt. Her hair is still up in a pony tail.
"Brady is in the dinning room you two can go eat as well if you would like." said his mom walking back to the kitchen.
Emma and Katie join Brady in the dinning room. Emma dishes herself some and Katie goes into the living room and pulls out a book from her bag. She opens to the page she was at and read some more. Brady and Emma finished eating and joined Katie in the front room.
"Katie you ready to go?" asked Emma.
"Yeah let mark my page then we can leave." said Katie putting in her bookmark and putting the book back into her bag.
They all walked from the living room to the door. They then left and begun walking towards the lab. It was a 10 minute walk from the Anderson's house to the lab. Once they got there Ally and Gabby were waiting. They all waited at the front door for Joe to let them in. They waited and waited but still he did not come. Joe was caught up in the back on his computer tracking Relicanth movements.
"Where's your dad at?" asked Emma.
"I am not sure he is probably caught up with something." said Brady.
After that was said Joe opened the door and let them all in. His lab was rather small. It had a couple of assistants and two rooms leading to Brady's dad's study.
(At the Lab)
"Good morning everyone glad to see all of you." said Joe looking at all of them.
They all line up in front of a table which had pokeballs on it.
"Whenever you are all ready you may pick your pokemon. We will go by age so Brady if you would like to go you can." said Joe.
"I will choose this one." said Brady picking up a pokeball and releasing then releasing the pokemon inside.
"Brady you choose Piplup. He is a water type pokemon. Once he evolves into Prinplup he becomes a water steel type pokemon. So take care of him. OK next is Gabby." said Joe.
Gabby grabs a pokeball off the table and then call out the pokemon. In front of her stands a Treecko.
"Well Gabby you choose the grass type pokemon known as Treecko. He is also strong and can get you out of a pinch against a water type pokemon. Emma you may choose next." said Joe.
Emma walks up to the table and looks and looks. She finally picks one and calls out the pokemon. It is a Torchic.
"Ah a good choice a strong yet energetic Torchic. He is a fire type pokemon and once evolved he becomes a fighting. So with that he can take out grass pokemon and eventually even normal. Ok Katie you are up." said Joe.
She walks up picks one pokeball and call out the pokemon. A Snivy stands in front of her.
"A Snivy a very calm pokemon. It is the opposite of you Katie yet he will still be strong and helpful against water types. Him being so calm makes him good under pressure so he will be useful. Last but not least Ally you can pick.
She picks up a pokeball and releases the pokemon inside.
"A Mudkip. He is a water type pokemon he has the advantage over fire types, ground and rock type pokemon. Our current champion caught a Mudkip and now it is a very powerful Swampert with the right training yours can also be a Swampert." said Joe.
The new trainers examine their new pokemon.
"That reminds me you all need one of these." said Joe walking over to each of them and handing them a pokedex.
"Now all of you are ready to go out in this world and accomplish your goals. With that said do not forget pokemon are people too so take care of them raise them and train them. You all will catch and train other pokemon some you will keep others will be sent back home with your families. On this journey I would like to say something that our Champion said at his Coronation. All trainers should expect the best but prepare for the worse. You all take that with you and apply it to you whatever you do. On this journey you will make new friends and you may lose some but never forget your family. Now from here if you are going to take on the gym leader the first one is in Harrisburg, PA and for the first Contest it will be held in Grand Rapids, MI. I feel I have said enough now you all may leave and remember this moment good luck." said Joe.
"Lets go then." said Brady as they all walk out.
Once outside they all gather around looking at each others pokemon. An assistant runs out minutes later.
"Good think I caught all of you here are some pokeballs to catch pokemon. Each of you can take ten." said the assistant.
(Outskirts of Boston)
They all grab ten empty pokeball and begun to walk to the edge of the town.
"Next time we return to this town one of us will have won the Champions Cup and the Grand Festival." said Brady looking off into Boston.
"Well let us begin this journey now." said Emma.
"Yeah we will see you three later. Ally and myself are going to start heading towards Grand Rapids." said Gabby.
"For us we are going to Harrisburg." said Emma.
From here the five split up and leave Boston to their first stop. Which for Emma, Brady and Katie it is a long six hour walk to Farmingham.
The journey begins now for all of them.
