"Alright, now this will not be easy. Cadmus is a very worth oppent we have dealt with before. One occassion nearly cost us our very lives. The same risks await you. If you accept these risk my partner and I will do our very best to protect you as the High and Almighty has declared us to do. Do you accept these risks?" asked Justice.

Without a moment of silence came her reply.

"We do."

"Well then," grinned Harmony,"Let us begin. Mr. Michealis, I believe you're best suited to open the door. Its craft is from a material best suited to your nature."

Sebastian smiled.

"I see. I'd be happy to help."

The demon grasped the handle and threw the door open wide. Soon the smog engulfed their small group as they slowly ventured into dark, unknowlable danger that awaited them. They kept close together, silent, trying not to wake whatever beast Cadmus had surely sent out to take care of them. However some were a little too close to others and Ivy found herself bumping into Sebastian's hand.

The demon winced in pain.

"Oh I'm sorry!" She whispered while she gazed at his hand,"Oh your hand is burned like mine." she declared.

"What?" he asked astonished,"That not pos-"

But low and behold it was. A nasty burn mark laid upon his skin, even burning through his gloves.

"It must've happend when you touched the gate like I did."

"But I'm supposed..You said the gate was made for my kind," he said to the angels.

"So we did," replied Justice.

"So you lied," came his rebuttle.

"Don't test me Mr. Michealis. We did no such sin."

"If you will recall," interrupted Harmony,"we have explained to you before that you were never meant to be of your kind."
The demon smirked.

"You really expect me to believe that little story of yours? That I was once one of you?"

"Believe me or not de-...Mr. Michealis. The truth will soon known to all. Besides, if iit weren't true do you really think I'd be spending my valued time wiith your kind?"

"Will you two stop yapping!?" yelled Ronald,"You're going to reveal our position!"

Suddenly a ghastly roar echoed through night.

"So much for the element of surprise," lamented Violetta.

Soon the hell hounds were upon them. They seemed to spring up from the bowels of the ground, rising from their hellish graves and surrounding our poor heroes.

"What the hell is going on in there?" shouted Edwin through the communication device.

"Yeah," echoed his brother,"It seemed like you just got ambushed by what appears to be giant dogs! This monitor is malfunctioning..Right?"

"Unfortunately know," replied Justice,"Well what are you all waiting for? Shoot the blasted mutts! We need to save your friend and we're running out of time!"

"I..I can't," mumbled Lydia,"I can't.."

"What do you mean you can't?!"

"Justice calm down! You'll never convince her that way!"

"Pluto.."

"What is that creature babbling on about now?" questioned Grell.

"Pluto..," she whimpered,"PLUTO!"

Suddenly she let a violent, ear shattering cry of desperation, despair, and unsurmountable pain. Lydia rushed toward the beasts that surrounded them but was quickly pulled back by Alois.

"What on earth are you thinking?!"

"Guys!" cried Dasan,"I think that set them off!"

The demon dogs raced towards them in a fury of teeth and claws. The group all raced to take cover behind anything that could protect them. And although for a moment they were safe from their ever waiting death, the group had now been split into smaller, weaker parties. They were being hunted and the very first step of hunting is to seperate the herd...

A groan escaped his lips and he finally regained consciousness.

"Ah I see you've finally awaken Lord Phantomhive."

"How did you...How.."

"Ah bup bup. Everything will be explained in due time. For the moment all I ask if that you enjoy the show."

Ciel growed, eyes glowing that demonic red.

"If you think I'm just going to sit idly by and-AHH!"

Ciel's hands burned as his hands smashed against the bars. His intention was to break down his cage but instead he ended up gasping in pain, curled in the fetal position upon the ground.

"I wouldn't touch that if I was you. Hell, I wouldn't touch that if I was me. Which I am of course. You see your cage is made of a very special angelic material. Demons such as us are burned quite extensively if we come into contact with it. In short, your trapped."

He chuckled evilly.

"If a damn demon like you couldn't touch it then how did you put me in here?"

"Well you see some humans like to play hard ball with the whole deal with the devil thing. Some are just so against giving up their souls for riches, love, revenge. Some just don't give up as easily as you did on the whole paradise thing. So other arrangements are made. A few of million dollars, a ton of gold, this and that, whatever their blacken heart desires really, in exchange for a few years of indentured servititude, mindless under my control. Humans have no problem touching angelic materials. Bit odd considered they can't touch demon wares. But the world is full of things that just don't make sense. For example, a group of strangers united by some fervent desire to see their dear little saved from a demon's clutch."

"What are you babbling on about?"

"I told you there was a show going on. And if you'll be a bit more cooperative this time around, I might as well show you."

Cadmus took a remote from his pocket and with a swift motion, several monitors in the room ignited with a burst of energy and displayed the poor, fear stricken faces of our heroes.

Ciel could hardly believe his eyes.

"They...They.."

"They came to save you," Cadmus interrupted," Bit shocking isn't it? Seeing as how you can barely stand this ragamuffin tribe of trodglodytes. Now why on earth would these strangers be risking their life at the hands of my demonic pets to rescue you? Can you answer me that?"

Ciel scoffed.

"Does it matter? The point is I will be rescued soon enough and my butl...And my brother will see it fit that you burn in hell for your misdeeds against me. And i don't care how many pawns have to fall to see that it gets done."

The demon laughed.

"Hahaha! Oh how amusing. Still pretending like you're some cold, hearting king atop his throne. Well I have news for you little hell spawn, you can't furthur from the truth. You are merely a pawn in a much larger scale game of fate. However your very existence proves that fate can be overcome. You're not supposed to be alive you know," he grinned.

"What are you talking about? I will not stand for this insolence!" he cried slamming his hands into the flood, causing pieces of broken rubble to erupt around him.

"My, my what a temper. If you're really curious I can tell you everything you need to know, for now anyway."

"Oh can you?" he scoffed.

"Have you ever considered that those strangers you barely know, the ones risking thier lives for your pitiful safety, are not strangers in the slightest?"

"What are you babbling on about?"

"Tell me little Phanthomhive...Do you know what a Peri is?"
